Hey everyone! Yes, I am back once again. And this time, here I am about to bring you some long-awaited action! This is going to be an interesting battle against Master Hand.
And seeing as this is going to be the REAL battle, since the last one was more of a distraction for escaping, I can tell that things will take a turn for the worst. ;)
But anyways, enough with that. I want you guys to be shocked when this one comes in. Now... I hope you enjoy! :D
Backwards message of the chapter: !gnir eht ot pu petS
It was then at this exact moment that all the Agents knew that this would be a BIG fight. They all yelled as most of the Agents proceeded to charge at Master Hand. They all tried punches and kicks, and, of course, their main weapons to ink him up.
The inking didn't happen however, as... the ink just seems to slide off of the giant glove. He just stood there for now, but he wasn't even close to being injured by any of their attacks. In fact, they merely tickled.
That surprised the group, but they kept going.
Soon, Master Hand held his fingers in a certain position, and then shot out five light blue lasers from his fingertips. The Agents who attempted to attack got pushed back, letting out a yelp from the sudden laser movement.
"Erk... l-lasers? T-This is absurd!" Caleb shouted.
"We gotta remember that we can't escape this time," Mia warned, "We need to actually take this guy down! Galeem may be giving this guy endless power, but I'm sure he has to have some sort of weak spot!"
"But if not, we can always keep trying. He can't keep fighting!" Chany cheered on, not opting to give up.
"We'll act as a backup and distraction! You guys do the big damage!" Callie suggested, teaming up with the other idols to serve the best role they can.
"Don't give up!" Pearl chimed in. And just as soon as their little conversation ended, Master Hand points upwards as two spiky yellow rings form around his pointer finger. He spins the two rings around for almost a second, then shoots the rings at the group.
Luckily, they caught onto that and saw it coming as soon as the rings were shot out.
"Inkoming!" Redd cried. They all went separate ways to avoid the two rings. Upon the avoidance, the rings shattered as soon as they hit the wall.
"Urgh! You Agents sure are good..." Master Hand growled, clenching himself into a fist.
"I'm afraid none of us can allow the big light god to do anything more horrifying!" Flint yelled, "And all of us are concerned, not only for Inkopolis, and not only for Smash... but for the fate of every universe altogether!"
Flint charged up his Hydra Splatling, and unleashed a huge barrage of his ink at the giant glove. It still didn't do much, but because the movement speed of the ink was so fast, it managed to temporarily stun Master Hand.
Unfortunately for Flint, Master Hand recovered from that quickly before the fiery-haired Inkling could react. Master Hand would then point both his pointer finger and middle finger together, with his thumb touching the bottom part of his middle finger, to make some sort of shooting formation. Then he charges something up.
"Oh no!" Flint yelped, knowing he had to run from whatever the heck Master Hand was charging up. The Inkling got up and scrambled away from the giant glove, who the shot out some kind of small two-pointed energy beam at him. Flint was already farther away, but it caused a loud crash and rumble, louder since the poor guy was almost near it.
"Uwah!" He yelped as he stumbled. But at the last second, he caught his balance and easily stood up after the explosion radius from the attack.
"*gasp* Flint!" Marina cried. She, along with Pearl, proceeded to try and distract Master Hand with shooting ink from their weapons, either at him, or on the ground for easier maneuvering.
Master Hand caught onto the inking almost immediately, and then prepared his next attack. He saw the two Off the Hook idols near each other, and he leaned back a bit, only to lunge at them for a huge slap.
They got hit by it and got pushed back only a couple inches, but it was fair enough that Master Hand didn't do too much to them due to more ink being spread onto him, causing him to flinch.
"Come and get us, Master Hand!" Redd teased, a wide smirk on his face. He was standing on a huge puddle of his own red ink, with a lot more colors all around, indicating all the Agents have better movement now.
"You would dare defy Lord Galeem's elegant view with spraying your constant colors all around?" Master Hand exclaimed. He retaliated by holding up a huge, brown spiked ball. Somehow, he didn't even get hurt by anything pointy that was plastered all across the ball.
He shot one ball in any of the Agents' directions. But as if THAT wasn't enough! He then summoned another spiked ball. Same color, same spikes, same size. Except it was thrown in a different direction compared to the last one.
That attack turned out to be useless for Master Hand. All of them who were standing on a puddle of their corresponding ink color simply turned into their squid or octopus form, and swam out of the way to not get hit by the spiked balls.
And Master Hand was barraged by the ink from the idols from behind. They were moving all over the place, except Marie was being sneaky with her sniper.
"I forgot to mention it's quite rude to hit a girl." Marie reminded to the right-handed glove. The orange glow on him glows a bit brighter, but nothing more than that. No one can tell exactly what that would mean at all.
And soon, everyone else joined in on inking him up. It still wasn't much, but with everyone on his tail now, it was going by much quicker and faster than what they originally intended what could've happened.
"Let's ink it up, gang!" Chany cheered.
"Shell yeah!" Mia said with a smirk.
Master Hand, still taking all the hits of the tons of ink being shot at him, would make his thumb and middle finger touch each other, while his pointer finger was high in the air as it usually is.
He then snaps his fingers, with the sound and effect echoing throughout the room. The Agents who were close ended up getting stunned, while those who were farther away got pushed back, almost hitting the wall because of how powerful it was.
Once they were stunned and/or pushed back, Master Hand would snap again, but it was a more normal and quieter one, and it caused him to teleport away. He reappears behind everyone in a split second. No one reacted to it, but then again, no one saw it happen either.
Master Hand's palm would hit the ground as he looks upwards. He starts spinning at an extremely quick pace, and then launches himself up, still spinning at the speed of a drill.
He would go after Caleb and Flint, who were next to each other during their attack as a team altogether. He shot downwards, still spinning like a drill, and buried the two down upon hitting the ground.
The drill spin would last for about one second before the spinning would slow down. Once Master Hand completely stopped, he dug out of this form, and floated away to attack everyone else.
"Urgh... this hole is so tight!" Caleb growled as he struggled to get out of it. Luckily, he and Flint didn't feel left out, as everyone else was quick to attack back upon seeing their friends stuck in this predicament.
"Quick, Caleb! We gotta help them!" Flint shouted, struggling harder and faster. They got out with ease a couple seconds later. And by then, Master Hand was getting slightly more weakened, as they can tell by Master Hand clenching himself as a fist, and not attacking just yet.
Caleb and Flint attempted to join in, right before Master Hand started his next attack. He would put his pointer finger on the ground, and slides it in a straight line, forming a yellow, thick line. Once he got up from it, a bunch of tiny, yellow spikes appeared from it.
Chany and Redd kept on shooting, while also moving around to avoid any major attack that'll most likely end up hurting pretty badly. Redd strayed more closer to Master Hand due to his medium-ranged weapon, while Chany as more safe staying farther away.
A rocket boost will shoot right out from underneath Master Hand as he locks upwards. He would hold up his middle finger, pinky, and thumb, while his index and pointer finger were held down. He would then rocket upwards again like before.
However, it was different from the drill. The Agents could hear some noise, but could barely see what it could be, due to the only known "window" in this large dome was the big hole that Master Hand made during the encounter.
They could all look over at the hole, and could partly see Master Hand getting towards them, still in the rocket form, but swirling around as he does get closer. He does this about a couple times before going in a straight, curved line.
"Quick! Super jump!" Caleb yelled.
"Way ahead of ya!" Redd agreed. He, along with the others, super jumped to avoid the attack easier. The idols were already more far away because of their support help, and backing away as soon as Master Hand was in that rocket form.
Speaking of which, he crashed back into the dome, leaving another hole in the wall, and one on the other wall, but same position as that one. However, he suddenly stopped after making the other hole.
As it turned out, Master Hand flew right towards the spikes accidentally, making him yelp and flinch from the pain of the spikes. He then falls to the ground, with three stars circling around him. The light outside shone into the room, brightening it up some more. It was actually now more easier to see! And it's not to the point where anyone's eyes will start bleeding!
Most of the Agents ran up to the stunned glove and kept on attacking him, making sure he doesn't get up. Some were also confused on how exactly this happened.
"Just spray more damage onto him!" Mia yelled.
"Hey, I'm way ahead of ya!" Pearl added.
"Just know he isn't down for the count yet. He could get up any moment!" Marie warned, keeping her sniper locked on the stunned glove.
"I hope this means this fight is almost done." Chany groaned, worried that something will happen if Master Hand keeps up with his attacking. But it was too good to be true, as he got out of his stunned phase a few seconds later.
He snaps his fingers to teleport away again, and reappears next to the whole group again.
"Over there!" Redd shouted.
"He won't get away that easily!" Callie stated, trying to swing her roller right at him. He took the first two hits, but upon the third one at a different direction, he ended up catching the Roller.
"Ah-!" Callie's eyes widened as she realized the worst that could've happened to her. Master Hand then throws the Roller to the wall. But because Callie was still holding onto it, she got swung to the wall as well.
A loud crash could be heard as Callie drops her weapon, groaning as she slowly tried to get off. And as soon as she did, Master Hand flies higher into the air, to the point where none of them can land a hit on him, no matter how hard they try with whatever kind of weapon.
A large blue energy can be seen pulsating from Master Hand's pointer finger as he points downwards to the middle of the room. A bunch of small blue mirrors are now being formed, all in different positions and locations.
"Cal, take cover!" Marie exclaimed as she helped Callie get out of the way.
"Oh carp!" Redd yelped as he soon got together with the others to get to a safe position. Master Hand would then shoot this weird blue energy as a straight line. And upon hitting one of the mirrors, the direction of the energy-filled line would change direction.
It would keep going, all hitting mirrors to change their aim each time. It would keep going on and on, that no one could find a certain pattern to be avoiding that easily. Some of the energy barely grazed them.
This whole attack would keep going until the line no longer reached the mirrors. It would hit the wall, resulting in another hole, but it was way smaller, so no one could really be affected by it.
However, a small eye could be seen peeking out of it. It seemed like this clone was no longer inside, but took this spot so he couldn't be seen by the Agents for what he was planning.
Master Hand would get into the shooting formation again, forming the energy bullets again. Before anyone could attack or try to defend themselves, the bullets were already being shot out. And this time... it wasn't one. It was three, and they all shot out at a quick pace, almost at the same time as the previous one.
None of them hit, but because they were all so fast, it caused a way bigger explosion to the point where no one could see what was going on.
"AHHHHHHHH!" Everyone screamed as the explosion made them fall and drop their weapons. But it got even more worse for them for what Master Hand was planning next. He took out a giant ball made of cerulean-like ink.
He shot the ball of ink at them. Then forms another, and throws that one. He did the same with a third one, too, just to be on the (un)safe side. The ink was covered on everyone, and they all groaned as they were extremely weakened by it.
They all stood up, but slowly. They attempted to grab their weapons, but the shards that the collectors got fell out after the ink attack. Not that it mattered, because this whole quest to find out the deal about these shards was ruined was due to Master Hand interrupting them.
He would clench into a fist as he floats higher, getting towards the Agents, and stopping once he was right above them.
"Oh no!" Caleb cried.
"Quick, w-we gotta dodge!" Flint added.
"Urgh... we can barely move!" Redd groaned.
"This can't be it.." Marina said softly. And with that, Master Hand got out of his fist form and into an open palm form as he launched downwards at the Agents, as his biggest attempt to finish them off.
Everyone closed their eyes, and tried to shoot back with their weapons.
.
.
.
However, Master Hand suddenly stopped as the Smash logo can be seen on the middle of his palm. It was there for a couple seconds before it disappeared, and Master Hand floats away from them in a pained expression.
"Huh?" Chany looked over at Master Hand, with the rest joining in after they fully recovered, still unsure why they didn't get hurt.
Master Hand began to squirm around as his fingers frazzled all over the place, and also his overall structure just spinning around uncontrollably. He kept doing that, leaving the rest unsure of why he was doing that.
After... whatever that was, Master Hand suddenly stopped, and fell onto the ground, unconscious.
"What... what in the world just happened?" Flint asked. He pondered for a moment, and the others thought the same.
Suddenly, Mia realized something.
"*gasp* The shards!" She yelped. The third Agent would run towards the shards, while the idols stood back to watch Master Hand. Redd, Caleb, Chany and Flint followed Agent 3 to see if the shards were really what happened to cause Master Hand to suddenly fall.
Mia would find all four shards, and would get confused as she saw them all in a different size and shape for some odd reason. She would then try to make them into some sort of shape, as she just remembered something that happened from earlier.
She realizes the Smash logo, and would put the shards into the that logo. And... with that, it looked perfect to the exact same thing.
"Whoa! Does that mean...?" Chany asked.
"The shards were it? The shards had the special power the whole time?" Caleb yelped.
"Oh! Maybe this is how Master Hand to stop his finishing move!" Redd noticed. The other four looked at him.
"Really?" Mia questioned.
"Yeah! Think about it!" Redd answered, "Master Hand had that same circle on his palm once the shards dropped from our grasps! Because of that, Master Hand must've caught note of that, and because he must somehow be connected with it... it caused him to grow unconscious because..."
"It may hold some kind of power!" Caleb finished.
"Maybe the shards managed to get him out of Galeem's control? Unlikely, but it must hold some secret if four tiny little shards made Master Hand stopped his rampage." Mia explained, shrugging her shoulders afterwards.
Redd and Flint were about to give out two different responds, but suddenly, they heard a scream coming from the four idols. And it sounded like the scream was... cut off at the last second?
In fear and concern, they turn over to see what happened, and there they saw it: Callie, Marie, Pearl and Marina have all turned into stone. There were four different light beams encasing all of them, causing no escape upon it happening.
"Oh no!" Flint cried.
CRASH!
Another bigger hole came apart, though it was much higher. And somehow, the temple is still standing...
This weird creature came in and made the statue idols teleport away from the scene, preferably back to Inkopolis, or the Fearical Dome. And everyone was shocked by... what exactly they were seeing.
It looked almost exactly like Sonic. Except, he had an angered, yet bored look on his face. His eyes changed from the normal green color to the red and white eyes that Galeem's puppet fighters had. And that wasn't the only major detail. He also had more paler skin, and some light energy was pulsating inside him, more noticeably in his hands.
"S... Sonic?" Redd called out, realizing the scary resemblance. However, "Sonic" didn't respond. The light forming in his hands grew bigger and more powerful, and he charged up a big attack as he looked at Redd.
"Sonic" then shoots out the powerful beam, aiming it right towards Redd. The fourth Agent didn't have enough time to avoid or find out what the heck was going on, so he got hit by this beam.
But it didn't turn him to stone like what happened to the idols' current fate. Rather, it pushed him back into a closed spot of one of the walls.
"Bro!" Mia yelped, running towards her brother to aid him. She helped him up, and the red Inkling quickly returned a smile and a "thank you" for the quick help.
"Sonic" then twirls something in his hands as he reaches for his pockets. He pulls them out, and they revealed to be Dark Tetra Dualies. Or, at least, they looked very similar to them. They had the same shape and pattern, but they... kinda don't look like it at the same time.
He aims one of them at the group, while the other was held back just in case. It was unsure why that was the case, but the Agents had to get ready for what was about to come.
Ink bullets began to shoot from it. However, this ink was the same creamy bright yellow that was the same color as the energy that "Sonic" had inside him. The group knew they weren't going down without a fight, so they avoided all of the bullets that were being aimed at them.
But because they already wasted most of their energy fighting Master Hand, it seems like they couldn't keep up for much longer.
"Keep shooting at this weird Sonic clone!" Redd shouted.
"I-Is this really Sonic though?" Mia questioned, as she and the others were doing their hardest to avoid more bullets coming their way.
"I don't know if this is a clone or what!" Chany complained. But one thing mattered to them more than figuring out if this really is Sonic, or just another clone that Galeem must've made.
And that thing, of course, is surviving.
About 5 rounds of ink bullets was basically the whole fight. Every time one of them would attempt to attack "Sonic", he would simply move quickly to another spot (or teleport there), and continue his shooting from their.
The good news is that at this point, the group could just see the bullets coming a mile away, to the point where it was becoming predictable, so it was a big letdown that this Sonic clone had nothing more up his sleeves.
But that was about to change real quick.
Because the bad news... is that Sonic now pointed the other Dualie at them. Except this Dualie had a huge open spot on the side, which he decided to use instead of just the normal ink.
And once he aimed this open hole at them, a giant light beam shot out of it. He shot it out, and was tempted to turn them all into stone, just like what happened to the Squid Sisters and Off the Hook.
"Ah no!" Mia yelped, barely avoiding it. And everyone else ended up getting the same treatment, but they were quick to get away before the stoning process can even start. Man, they are extremely lucky there.
"Eep!" Caleb saw his feet stoned, but only wiggled out of it, turning his feet back to normal. He sighed in relief, knowing that somehow worked.
Then, "Sonic" continued the big light beam around him, forcing the group to back up, or try to push them away with either the ink bullets, or just pushing the light beam Dualie near them. Or both.
...
Probably both.
"No turning back now! Let's attack!" Flint suggested. Sonic raised his hands up in the air as he charges up an energy-filled ball, consuming that in some of the light that can be found all over.
"Now, gang! Get him!" Mia commanded. They were all about to make the biggest leap of their life, maybe into a super jump to get "Sonic" after he shoots out this massive light ball.
"Sonic" leaned back a bit before the light ball can reach it's biggest height. And once it almost reached the ceiling, everyone prepared to jump up and try to counteract against whatever this may be.
However, just before "Sonic" can shoot out this light energy-like attack, he was suddenly punched back to the wall, next to the one from whence he came.
"Huh?!" Chany and Caleb yelped in unison, landing back on the ground with the rest, who shared a similar reaction to what they could've seen.
"Sonic" opened his eyes as soon as the attack took place. As soon as he did, he saw that it was Master Hand who ended up attacking him.
"Master Hand did that?" Caleb shouted, confused.
"But... why?" Mia asked. They all looked over at the two to see what'll happen next.
"Sonic" still had most of the energy from the light ball he formed, so he attempted to throw it at Master Hand. However, the glove was smart to know that was coming, so he countered it by DIRECTLY SLAPPING IT.
Normally, that would end up in a big mistake for Master Hand. However, he successfully threw it back, and it hit "Sonic" instead. While "Sonic" was being thrown back from the effects of his own-created ball of energy, Master Hand began to shoot his fingertip lasers. And he was way faster at transitioning from that than when the group were fighting him.
The laser attack wasn't easy for Master Hand, as "Sonic" quickly recovered and started flying away from all the lasers, even as Master Hand was trailing behind him, only staying several feet away from how far the lasers can reach.
"Sonic" waits until he is farther away from the lasers, and it made Master Hand stop his attack, knowing there was no use in continuing. The clone then brings out both of his corrupted Dualies, and shot a combination of both the light beam, and the ink bullets.
But Master Hand had it all under control. He avoided everything just in time, and then turns into the shooting formation to shoot out three bullet pairs. They all hit "Sonic" head on, making him drop the Dualies as well.
It was no use for "Sonic", as he continued to try and attack. And as he tried to lunge right at Master Hand, he simply snaps his fingers to teleport away. When the teleportation ended, he appeared right behind "Sonic's" head.
Master Hand snaps again, but this time, it was the big one that echoed again. The Agents weren't affected, however. "Sonic" was. And he got stunned by how quick that stun ended up getting.
Master Hand quickly floats farther away from the scene, but he can be seen from one of the many holes that were caused from every single crash that either he or "Sonic" caused.
The right-handed glove points at "Sonic", and five fireballs began to circle around the glove. The fireballs then unleashed out at Sonic, all maintaining a circular pattern, and shooting out one at a time.
"Sonic" got hit by the first two, avoided the other three, but then shows a pained expression as suddenly... Master Hand goes out at "Sonic", and punches him at full force, resulting in a huge amount of damage put for the Inkling clone.
And because of that, "Sonic" was sent flying outwards, far away until no one could see him any more. The Agents saw that, and were left with the most speechless look known to any mortal being.
Master Hand shortly came back after that big hit, and floats towards the Agents. As a way of defense, they pointed their weapons at the giant glove, thinking that he's gonna attack any time soon.
However, Master Hand didn't attack back. He puts himself in a surrender-like fashion.
"Wait! I'm not going to hurt you. It was all the corruption that made me this way!" He yelled. Upon hearing that, they all calmed down, but they were still skeptical after all they had to go through.
"Hold up for just a second. Are you... the real Master Hand?" Redd asked.
"The one and only." Master Hand replied, showing a thumbs up as he talks. Redd gasps quietly, and murmurs among the rest of the Agents, who then realized that this Master Hand could be telling the truth.
"You... You were controlled this whole time?" Flint questioned.
"*sigh* Yes," Master Hand sighed, "It was all Galeem's doings. He made me this way. He took control of me after the two of us had a long, brutal fight. Because of this, he managed to clone me and keep me under his control for his own plans."
"But how exactly... did you get out of control?" Caleb asked, "We were just fighting you earlier, and you showed no mercy. What was it that made you... get freed from Galeem's corruption?"
Master Hand gently pats Caleb's shoulder with one of his huge fingers, considering the size between him and a normal Octoling.
"It's quite hard to explain, but I think I have a theory," The huge glove explained, "As the keeper of the Super Smash Bros multiverse, along with my brother, Crazy Hand, it may have something to due with the power of Smash's symbol to keep my sanity intact. That symbol is much more powerful than any other fighting logo respect known to mankind."
"Wait... Smash symbol?" Flint yelped.
"Master Hand, hold on one second! I think I realize what it may be!" Chany chimed in. She ran over to find the shards from earlier. Then she ran back to Master Hand, and shows all four of the shards that she and the rest found.
"Oh yeah, the shards. Do they have anything to do with all of this?" Redd questioned. Master Hand looked at the shards, and was quickly taken aback by the size of each of them.
"I-Incredible," He stammered, "It is these shards! All four of these are different sizes, which are the exact same as the Smash Ball symbol that we all have come to know and love. While I was under Galeem's control, I must've saw this in a more normal circumstance, and it reached to my mind to tell me that what I'm doing is wrong during my corruption."
"Ahh. That sure explains a lot." Redd chuckled, nodding in agreement.
"But anyways, group... why are you here in the first place? You know you shouldn't be here." Master Hand questioned, a nervous tone as he kept talking.
"It's because Inkopolis and Smash are in danger! If we don't do something, then Galeem is going to corrupt every dimension and keep it all for himself!" Mia shouted, "We came here to find something useful in stopping the Lord of Light. And so far, all we found is the shards."
"Please, Master Hand," Caleb begged, "You gotta help us! None of us want Inkopolis or Smash to be anywhere close to being owned by Galeem! We have to do something."
"Ha ha ha! No need to worry, Octoling," Master Hand snickered, "I'm with you on this one. Galeem ruined everything for his own needs, and I'm afraid I cannot stand by and watch universes go to ruin. I want to do everything I can in order to stop Galeem once and for all."
He extends his palm outwards, offering everyone a high five.
"Count me in on this one!" He continued. Everyone was shocked, but they soon all smiled and laughed upon hearing this.
"Yes! This was it! We needed to free Master Hand the whole time! And we did it!" Mia laughed along with the rest.
"Booyah!" Redd cheered as she and the others gave Master Hand his well-deserved high five.
"Excellent!" Master Hand clenched himself into a fist and tightened himself, in need for a fight back against the one who took control of him.
"So, should we get out of here before that Sonic clone comes back?" Flint asked.
"Yeah, I'm afraid he might be looking over at us still." Chany added.
"I know just where to start, gang. Bring the shards with you." Master Hand suggested.
"Why do we need the shards?" Mia asked. Master Hand pointed behind them, but above at the same time. Everyone looked over at what Master Hand was pointing at. It was the small door that also had the Smash logo on it.
Once the Agents had their eyes set on the door, Master Hand responded with:
"We need to free Crazy Hand."
A/N: Ooooooooohhh yeeeeaaaaaahhh! Sorry if the "Sonic" fight was a little lackluster compared to Master Hand. I tried to hardest I can here. XD
But anyways, that's all I got for this chapter! Next chapter will introduce Crazy Hand into the mix! And not only that, but we will go back to Inkopolis as well to see what's been going on with the city, along with the real Sonic. :0
I hope you enjoyed this chapter! Stay Fresh, stay safe, and, knowing what we'll have soon, happy Thanksgiving! And I'll cya next time for more! ;)
