Along with that I've disappointed many of you by not posting in a long long long time, and for that I'm sorry, the thing is my birth mom recently passed away and I've been stressed with school, along with pure unadulterated procrastination. Again as I have said many times I want to finish this I've spent so much time on this and I don't want to see it go to waste.

Chapter 19

Marco's princely training.

When Star and Marco had returned from the near death experience, it was getting late, or was it early?

The sun was just starting to glisten out from the horizon as Marco and Star settled into bed, they both were tired and worn out from the night they had, Marco was still in pain but he decided it could wait until they both had rested.

Star got comfy having changed into her pjs she waited from Marco to get into bed. While waiting she thought about how much her life has changed since she got kicked out of her own home, she is more happy now then she was then. After all she has Marco now he's been the best person ever to her since she arrived on earth, he's even died for her twice, it was around the blood moon ball that her feelings regarding him started to change. He was the first person ever to treat her like an equil he didn't mind that she was blind, he defended her from Tom when he was insulting her, she couldn't thank him enough, she was so happy when he brought her into the forest yesterday, that kiss…was the best thing she has ever felt just the thought of his soft lips on hers made her blush and giggle with glee.

Her thoughts were interrupted when she felt a dip in the bed. Marco just having changed slid under the covers next to Star, his face was red, ever since he had confessed he felt warmth in his chest it felt like a weight was lifted off of him. He smiled when Star turned over onto her side to face him while he did the same, "I love you, Star" suddenly Stars face went red but she smiled anyway "I love you too, Marco" she said it back like it was the most normal thing to do but actually her heart was beating hard she heard it in her ears she was nervous really nervous she didn't know how to feel about sleeping in the same bed as Marco, of course it made her happy, but something bothered her, it was mostly a problem of lust, but they both knew they were to young for that, she was disappointed but she understood.

Marco was having the same thoughts, he respected Star too much to just have her throw away something so important as her first time, at least not now, not until their honeymoon, just the thought of Star naked made him hard his blush grew greatly at that thought, he shifted to hide it. "Goodnight, my queen" his back was towards her. "Goodnight, my prince" Star scooted over and wrapped her arms around him snuggling into the middle of his back.

Suddenly Marco's phone went off, telling the two that they had been out all night, growling Marco reached towards the night stand and gripped his phone when he looked at the screen his eyes went wide.

"Star today is my prince training" Marco bolted upright, star did the same not two seconds after. "Crap, we forgot what time does it start?" She yawned and stretched, if Marco had not been so worried he would have noticed Star's obvious plot to show off her curves.

"It starts in 30 minutes, we gotta hurry up and get ready" Marco had to admit the pain he felt was bad but it was manageable he felt worse but he knew that this could give him a disadvantage in his prince training.

Reluctantly he got up out of bed and changed into his normal outfit, "Star you can stay and sleep if you want."

"No I'll come with you, it's not like I'll be able to sleep without you anyways" she got up as well and took off her night shirt, this startled Marco "S-Star what are you doing?" His stuttered out while he felt his face getting warmer.

"Changing duh, you said it was in 30 minutes so I figured we should leave as soon as possible" she yawned again and got of the bed, Marco couldn't help but stare, his face redder than the hoodie he was certainly wearing he managed to pry his eyes away from her, he finished getting ready when Star used magic to change. He turned around to see Star back in her usual dress.

Marco grabbed his sword that was leaning on the nightstand and slashed the air making a portal into the throne room on Mewni. River sat on the throne and looked up when he noticed his daughter and soon to be son-in-law,

"Ah my boy, you've made it with time to spare" River pointed to a clock, they still had 5 minutes until the training started.

"I wanted to use this time to choose a date for the wedding." River calmly states looking at the two.

The two blush at the mention of their wedding.

"I was thinking near the end of this year since that'd give you two time to prepare" River used air quotes when he said prepare.

"OK, dad, that's enough we get it, shouldn't we inform the populace about the death of mom first? The people need to know that about their next king and Queen" Star hushed her dad before he could speak again.

"Exactly Star that's one of the things we are going today" River explained then pointed at Marco.

"Listen my boy today your going to give a speech to the people of your kingdom, this will either make or break your ascension to the throne" River's voice went from a cheerful and carefree tone to a somber and serious tone and then switched back in an instant.

"No pressure Marco, I'll be right behind you the entire time" Star grabbed Marco's hand and smiled.

Marco felt like throwing up, he was never good at giving speeches but the warm touch of Star's hand brought him a sense of confidence.

"Thanks Star I'll try my best" Marco used his other hand to pat Star on the head.

"Alright my boy it's time to get started" River got up from his throne and walked down towards the two.

"what's first?" Marco asked curiously, ready for anything that river could throw at him.

"Well the first thing we are going to do is some paperwork, a king does all the paperwork the queen doesn't want to do" River walked past them and looked back gesturing to them to follow him.

They follow River to a room that has a desk and a chair that looks similar to his throne. On top of the desk is a stack of paperwork. Marco sat on the chair and looked at the paperwork, most of the documents were about how the kingdoms money should be spent and where it should be spent, other documents were about disagreements between citizens, for Marco it was easy to figure out and he was done with the stack in 5 minutes.

Leaning back in the chair he let out a sigh and finally looked up for the first time, in front of him was River inspecting the files he just did, and on the desk sat star waving her legs *must be bored* he thought. "Marco my boy all this paperwork you just did seems to be correct, it seems you are not just strong but smart too." River smiled and put the papers back on the desk.

"Look at the time it's almost time to introduce you to the people of your soon to own kingdom" River looked at the clock on the wall. Star perked up hearing it was time to leave. Slipping down to the floor Star grabbed Marco's hand and started humming.

Marco squeezed her hand and stood up from the seat. River told them to follow him. He led the two down to Star's old room when she stayed in Mewni. "Here you can get Star to help you get ready, the speech is in 15 minutes" he said as he left to prepare himself.

End chapter 19

Well that's the end I left it on a cliff hanger but the thing is I have actually added on to this for a very long time, I also think this is their perfect place to stop. The next chapter is the last, today actually I got an idea for another fanfic so I might right another one. I won't promise anything though.
