Back in the other world, Lucifer is right at the entrance of Lux. He finally gets his smoke when he is away from Chloe Decker. A man by the open entrance smiles to who he thinks is the owner of the nightclub. Lucifer smiles back as he gives another puff from the cigarette. He throws it down on the ground then steps on it.
"Right this way, Mr. Morningstar." The big African American man says as he takes the line latch from the two poles sitting in the front entrance.
"Pleasure, mortal." Lucifer says as he brushes his dark hair and adjusts his suit before going in. The nightclub was alive as always. The Devil smiles as he sees women grinding men or other women. Then he looks carefully at the grand piano. He mutters to himself, "Exquisite taste."
Amenadiel comes up to Lucifer as he yells, "Lucifer! Finally you came back!"
The Devil from the other world hears an unfamiliar voice from an unfamiliar face. He sees it's Amenadiel, but doesn't know who he is. He quietly says, "Yes, human. I am back. Run along now and don't toy with me."
Amenadiel stands confused as he says, "Luci, you know me. I'm Amenadiel."
Lucifer walks over to the bar ignoring Amenadiel. He asks the dark-skinned bartender for a drink of gin. Amenadiel abruptly sits right in front of him and says, "If you are still angry at me for asking about the strange occurrence then don't be anymore. I found out so you don't have to."
"Splendid!" Lucifer says sarcastically as he takes a sip of gin, "Now leave, mortal."
Amenadiel is a bit taken back as he asks, "Ok, Luci, you've been acting really weird. You've been calling me mortal and human. What's gotten into you?"
"Oh so you don't know," Lucifer says as he puts his glass down, "I killed you in Hell when you wouldn't quit trying to kill me. And before you were dead, you were white."
He looks glaringly at Amenadiel now with a question, "How are you still alive along with a totally different skin color, voice, and…"
He stares at Amenadiel's bald head to add before taking another sip, "No hair."
"Oh." Amenadiel says as he has no idea what his brother is talking about. "Well to answer, Father made me this way."
"Including having none of the same personality as before." Lucifer mutters as he is trying to figure out why everything is so different.
Amenadiel blinks before he situates himself more on the stool to face the bartender. He orders a glass of champagne. The bartender grabs a fine slender glass to fill with light yellow champagne. Amenadiel grabs it as he settles it back down. He patiently waits for Lucifer to set his shot glass down too. Then he turns to say, "Brother, we've known more about each other these past years than ever before. I have grown more fond of you day by day. Even becoming more different than when I was once Father's greatest warrior. Also becoming a dad with a beautiful woman and baby.
"But Lucifer, I need you to know. Whatever you are going through, I'm there for you every step of the way. Even if it pains you to hear this, Father might come to realize that you are worthy because of Chloe and her love for you." Amenadiel says in his calm voice full of wisdom.
Lucifer rolls his eyes as he says, "Enough said. I just don't want to hear anymore about Father being 'proud'." Then he picks up his shot to sip and adds, "He's dead anyway."
"If Dad was dead, Lucifer, then I would be able to feel it and also he just came not too long ago." Amenadiel assures Lucifer. Then a thought strikes his brain, "Or maybe He is in another universe. Maybe that's why the strange earthquake didn't destroy the city."
Lucifer nods as he says, "Yes, that's why I need to get back to my world pronto and-"
Buzzing from Lucifer's phone interrupts him as he takes it out of his pants pocket. Lucifer looks at the screen and says, "Bloody hell! Worst timing ever!"
The screen read "Detective". Lucifer from another world sighs as he swipes the call to answer her. Then he replies after a few minutes, "Be there in a jiffy, mortal!"
Lucifer turns to Amenadiel to say, "Sorry, bro, but duty calls. I have no idea why I am helping with a case, but I just feel the need to. Exciting isn't it?!"
Amenadiel nods as he says, "You are a civilian consultant, Luci. I may help you with your problem of getting back to this 'other universe' that you say you are from."
He mockingly uses his index fingers to the words "other universe" as he thinks Lucifer is just messing with him. Lucifer rolls his eyes as he grabs his silver flask inside his jacket pocket and pours the rest of the gin in it. He quickly leaves his brother alone at the bar to get to Chloe Decker and solve this murder.
