Miranda combed her hair down from her wrap in the mirror. She smiled to her self. She was genuinely happy. She smoothed her jean skirt down and looked at her purple shirt in her long mirror.

"Mandy." Her mother said coming to her room and shut the door behind her.

"Hey ma." Miranda responded. Going to grab her purple shoes from the closet.

"I want to ask you something." She said sitting down on her bed crossing her legs.

"Okay shoot, what's up."

"Are you having sex with Ben." Her mother questioned and her eyes went wide. It has been a month. Since she has lost her virginity and two days ago they had sex again. She didn't feel like she had changed or anything for her to know or figure it out.

"Ma I- " Miranda stumbled and her mother raised her brow.

"Yes, we are or we did." She said not really sure what do say

"Miranda." He mother gasped. Miranda wasn't sure why her mother was so surprised. She asked her because she already knew the answer.

"I'm sorry ma." Miranda said but she was curious to how she knew.

"How did you know." Miranda asked sitting down beside her. This was and unusual conversation for them first thing in the morning before school.

"Teenagers change when they become sexually active. I noticed your change. I won't say exactly what it was but you will know when you have your child. I want you to understand I am not upset but why wouldn't you tell me. Are you using protection."

"Of course."

"I want you to get on birth control Miranda. You say you want to be a surgeon and have a career path as a doctor. You can do it with a baby on your coat tail but it's going to be so much harder, so I don't want you to have any mis slips." Elena spoke and Miranda nodded her head.

"Okay ma, I will I promise." Miranda agreed.

She sat down and continued to talk about Ben and their relationship before she knew it was time to get to school.

"You look good." Ben said to her as she walked outside. He was walking with her to school today.

"Than you baby, you do too." She said handing him her book bag.

My mom knows we are having sex. Miranda blew out

"Really?" Ben smirked.

Miranda gave him a look as to why he was amused. Ben lost the smile.

"How? What did she say." Ben said trying to be serious.

"She just said she could tell and she wasn't mad she just wants me to get on birth control. Which I am." Miranda said walking with him.

"Oh good no more condoms." Ben said excitedly.

"Uh yes we are going to use condoms. We are doing both." Miranda said.

Ben gave her a really look.

"I'll let you do one night without, only because we never did that but seriously no. The point is to be extra careful. So we don't have any babies. Because I'm telling you now if I get pregnant. We are having the baby just know that you are going to be the one not in school taking care of it and I'm going to continue on with college and my career." Miranda said and Ben chuckled but nothing about what she said was a joke.

Ben slid his hands in hers and they continued to talk as they walked.

"I have to go for my last touch ups for my prom dress. You wanna come with me after school." Miranda looked over at Ben.

"I would love to."

Miranda was so excited for prom. Ben asked her last month but she already knew she was going with him.

She picked out a long baby blue holographic star struck, iridescent sequence strappy satin dress. She loved the way it fit her body and showed off her curves. Ben picked out a light grey tux, with a baby blue tie.

She couldn't believe that they were this close to graduation. Graduation was two week after prom. She was not ready to leave and go to college in August. She needed to make this summer count with Ben.

Prom quickly came and Miranda just left out of the salon, from getting her hair done. She left the pin curls in and went to the nail shop. Claire was with her. Her boyfriend was a senior so she got to go to Miranda's prom as well.

"So How did Ben ask you to prom." Claire asked and Miranda laughed already thinking about the story.

"We were sitting at the tree outside and he was like I'm bringing Chinese food. So we are eating and he hands me a fortune cookie. So I was trying to figure out why it was already broken in half but he did it to put the question inside. He is so cheesy and cute." Miranda laughed again.

"He really is so sweet." Claire agreed.

Miranda went home and laid down on her bed. She was going to take a small nap. Before she got dressed.

"Miranda get up so you can get dressed. You know you have to take pictures with Ben. With us and his family." Elena came into the room.

"Okay, I'm getting up." Miranda said sliding out of the bed.

She lotion her body down and then sat and took her pin curls out. She never really wore her hair with spiral curls but she liked the look.

Miranda slid on her dress and admire herself in the mirror. "Beautiful." William said peeping his head in the door.

"Thank you daddy." Miranda smiled.

Miranda slid on her silver heels and her jewelry. Making sure to put on Ben's bracelet.

She grabbed her little purse and walked out to the living room.

"Beautiful." Miranda's family said in unison. She wasn't expecting all of them to be here.

The door bell rung and William went to go get it. "He's here" William called out and Miranda walked out side with the rest of them behind her.

"Beautiful." Ben said when she walked outside.

He had the corsage in his hand.

"Benjamin Warren." Miranda said looking over him in this suit. He looked so sexy and there was more she wanted to say but he knew what she wanted to say just by calling his name.

"oh my gosh you both look so good." Ben's mother said grabbing her camera out of her husband's hand.

Miranda and Ben took many pictures smiling for the two families.

Ben put her white rose corsage on her wrist and Miranda put his boutonniere on his chest.

Finally they were ready to go.

"Ben where did you get the convertible from." Miranda asked smiling as he opened up the door for her.

"My dad got it for today for us." Ben replied.

They talked and laughed the whole way to prom.

"Ben helped Miranda out of the car with her dress and then handed their keys to the valet parking service man.

"This is really beautiful." Miranda said looking at around as Ben held her hand.

When they got inside of the ballroom.

She watched as Ben waved and smiled at his friends. They sat at the table and talked. "Come one let's dance." Ben said extending his hand noticing the slow song was on.

Miranda placed her hands in his and walked with him to the dance floor. She looked around at all the other couples that were dancing before looking back at Ben, placing her arms around his neck. Ben placed his arms around her short frame, even with heels on, around her body. His hands slid down and rested on her lower back.

"You know we have never been around the whole school like this. It's kinda nice" Miranda said.

"Eh, it's ight, I still be preferred to be alone with you. I love our time. No distractions, just us and our love." Ben said and Miranda couldn't help but agree. Their relationship started off with just them even as friends. They were a couple that was cool being solo. Ben barely hung out with his friends nor did Miranda with Claire. She made sure that Ben spent time with his friends. She was mostly a loner her self until Ben came along, now she wanted to just be alone with him.

"How about instead of the after prom. We go somewhere together." Miranda suggested.

"I love that." Ben replied kissing her on the cheek.

Miranda sat in the car with Ben as he drove on the interstate. "Where are you taking me." Miranda said as the wind blew through her hair. It was late at night and she really didn't know what would be open.

"You will see when we get there. We have about 20 minutes Ben replied. Ben pulled up to North point Beach.

"It's closed after 11pm." Miranda said looking at him.

"We aren't getting out of the car." Ben said as he kept driving. "We are just enjoying this view." Ben responded showing her the water as they were on a sorta cliff. The moon was shinning bright over the water and everything looked so calm.

"Oh it's beautiful." Miranda gasped looking at it. It was better than a painting. She wasn't the kind of girl who would go to the beach at night.

"You are beautiful." Ben said and Miranda blushed before turning to him. She smiled and then unbuckled her seat belt, hiking her dress up. She slid over into Ben's lap. "Mmm what are you thinking?" Ben asked licking his lips.

"I'm sure your mind is where I am." Miranda smirked.

"Do you want me to closed the top." Ben asked referring to the top of the car that was dropped.

"No it's better like this. More room to move that way I won't have to keep my head down from hitting the ceiling.

"I didn't bring any protection tho." Ben frowned.

"I told you that we can do it once with out it now that I am on birth control. I am a women of my word." Miranda said putting her hands on the side of his face as she grinded against him. Ben groaned as he grew hard underneath her. He used his hand to still her hips from moving. Now that they were being completely raw this time. He was going to need his strength to last.

Ben sucked on Miranda's bottom lip and fiddled to find the zipper on her dress. Miranda never thought that she would be the type to have sex in a car, let alone with the top down out in the open but here she was with Benjamin Warren. Completely out of her comfort zone but completely okay with that.

"Oh God that was good." Miranda moaned putting her head against Ben's. "Indeed it was. You are wild Miranda." Ben said continuously rubbing his hands across her butt.

"Really."

"Yes really. It's always those quiet shy girls who are the biggest freaks." Ben smirked.

"You bring it out of me Benjamin Warren." Miranda told him pecking his lips.

" I love you."

"I love you too." Miranda

A week past and Miranda left out of her last class. She knew Ben had to stay after school today because of the committee he joined. Tis is why he missed the last class, helping around the school.

She grabbed her book bag and threw it over her shoulder and went to tell him bye. Miranda saw Ben leaning against his locker and his back was facing her. He was talking to his regular two friends along with some members of the football team that she recognized.

"So Mandy?" She heard one of the guys questioned. Miranda stayed still and decided to not walk any further.

"Yeah, what about her." Ben asked.

"The question we've all been dying to know." Daniel asked.

"What's that." Ben questioned.

"Are you hitting that or did you hit that yet?"

"Of course, my Name is Benjamin Warren right." Ben said and she could here the cockyness in his voice and it only infuriated her. She was disappointed in him. Why would he gossip about her with all of these guys.

"Ahhh. I knew it." She heard some one say.

"Ben you are slick. You got an easy one. Someone you can just casually do it with because, she not out here screwing everyone else." Marcus said dapping him up.

Miranda waited. She waited for him to tell them that is wasn't like that. Tell them that they were in love, tell them that she wasn't just some girl who pants he got in. Tell them all the things they talked about. How they waited 7 months before they had sex. Anything. Tell them the truth about them. Ad least what she thought was real. Did he really just want sex from her. Was that his goal all along . Why wouldn't he speak up.

"Well now that you got her. You can finally get with Evelyn. She has been throwing her self at you since your first day of school. She would easily give it up."

"Yeah, so how you gonna break up with Mandy."

Miranda had enough. She heard everything that she could take. "He doesn't have too. I'll do it for him." Miranda said loudly. She was trying to be hardcore and not show her emotions and keep her tears from falling.

"Miranda." Ben gasped, turning to face her. She adverted her eyes from him.

"We're done Ben. I'll save you the trouble." Miranda said harshly. Turning around to walk out of the school.

She felt like she couldn't breathe. She just wanted some fresh air. Miranda burst through the back of the school doors and folded her arms as she walked.

"Wait Miranda. Please." She heard Ben yell and it only encouraged her to walk faster.

Ben jogged up to Miranda and tried to grabbed her arms.

"Miranda stop." Ben yelled as he grabbed her arm.

Before she knew it Miranda shoved him as hard as she could. "Don't touch me Benjamin Warren." She yelled.

Ben stumbled back. Catching his balance, shocked at her.

"Miranda I-

"I don't want to hear it. Just leave me alone. It's nothing you can ever explain."

"Miranda let me talk-

" you are good Ben. You should really go to acting school. You would make it big in Hollywood. You are obviously not who I thought you were. You used me and you are a liar and out of all the lies I've heard. I love you was my favorite." Miranda scuffed walking faster.

"I do love you Miranda please."

Miranda stopped and turned around looking at him. Ben wanted to punch his self looking at the tears that stained her face and her nose was red.

" when love is real, it doesn't lie, pretend, hurt or make you feel unwanted. Ben just accepted the fact that I don't want to talk to you." Miranda said turning around, walking to her drive way then In to her house. Her dad was sitting on the porch.

"Miranda." Ben yelled.

"Miranda listen to me." Ben called out once again.

"Ben my daughter doesn't want to talk" William said being protective.

"Yes sir..sorry." Ben said putting his hands in his pocket walking away.

He figured he should just give her space to calm down and he would sort everything out by tomorrow morning.

A week passed and it was two days before graduation. Ben felt like he was in hell. Miranda avoided him and would not talk to him at all. He stopped by her house that very next morning but she had already drove her car to school. The gym teacher allowed her not come because it was the week before they graduated and grades were already in. In anatomy she switched seats with another student and sat directly in the front. She wouldn't even give Ben eye contact when he walked in. She kept her head down and was the first one out of class when the bell rung and she was no where to be found during lunch with Claire. He wanted more than anything to just talk to her, kiss her, hold her and apologize a thousand times over. She was his best friend. He didn't know why he didn't interject when the guys were talking. He allowed them to be disrespectful and now Miranda thought the worse of him. He would never leave her. He hated now that he spent almost 10 days with out her.

Ben looked at Miranda on stage. He was so proud of her. She was their school salutatorian. She was such a humble person because Ben never knew of this. He listened to her speech and he could tell she was nervous as she pushed her glasses up and slightly fiddle with her fingers. Everything she said was spot on. Looking at her he knew that she was meant to be a leader, and a teacher.

After graduation Ben met his family outside. He smiled as he walked up and hugged his mom.

"I'm so proud of you." Patricia said squeezing him.

"Thank you mom." Ben smiled before hugging his dad. He looked around hoping to get a glimpse of Miranda.

"Where is Miranda." Ben's mother questioned. "I haven't seen much of her lately."

Ben walked with his parents back to the car and told them all about what happened.

Ben's mom explained to him how bad it was and how disappointed she was in him to let his friends make him out to be something he wasn't. Patricia was a little bit shocked to know that they had slept together as well but she let that subside.

Ben finally got the courage to go to Miranda's house. Hoping her dad wouldn't stop him. He needed and wanted her and he was done waiting for her to come around.

Ben paced back and forth at her drive way. She had to be okay now enough for them to talk. It's been 3 days after graduation. So surely she was on a high about it.

Ben knocked on her parents front door and waited for it to open up.

"Hello Ben." Elena said at the door.

"Hi Mrs. Bailey. Is Miranda home, can I talk to her. I need to see her. Ben said with desperation.

Elena looked at Ben and she had the saddest expression on her face.

"Ben Miranda is gone. She started and early college program at her school. She already packed up and left. The day after graduation." Elena said slowly.

"Gone." Ben repeated. He was never the type of guy to cry over any girl but this news hurt him to the core.

"Oh okay, sorry for holding you up." Ben replied keeping him self together.

"I'm sorry Ben." Elena called out as Ben was already on the side walk walking home.
