Tetra knew they were hours away from Outset, but she just felt pure relief that finally, they were heading back there. Last time she and her crew were here, they had failed to break open Jabun's cave. Yet it no longer felt like any type of failure. Rather, it felt Tetra had truly succeeded by allowing Link to retrieve Nayru's pearl. She looked over at him still hugging his sister. He just looked completely at ease with the world, nothing was wrong. Tetra couldn't help but smile looking at the siblings. She couldn't even imagine what had been going through Link's mind when Aryll had been kidnapped when they first met. As Tetra turned away to look toward the Great Sea, suddenly, Aryll screamed,

"Big Brother!"

Tetra whipped around and saw Link had fallen! He was lying on his stomach and his eyes were closed! Aryll was crying. Tetra immediately ran to him and could see his injuries from his battle with Ganondorf were just beyond brutal. She yelled over to Senza and Nudge.

"Get him below deck to my cabin and treat his wounds immediately!" she demanded of the duo.

"Aye-Aye Miss Tetra!" They both responded and immediately carried Link below deck quickly, Aryll right behind them. Tetra looked back toward the Great Sea; she didn't want to immediately go below deck. She knew Nudge was the best person to look at Link's wounds and Senza would be second best. She didn't want to have them to have to see her face worried but more importantly, she didn't want to worry herself seeing Link's condition. Everyone else wanted to go look as well but Tetra did not want too many people down there.

Minutes passed and finally Tetra couldn't wait any longer and went below deck to check up on Link. Nudge and Senza had brought Link to Tetra's cabin and had him lying on her couch with his tunic off and his white undershirt off as well. Tetra finally seeing Link's full injuries let out a soft gasp. Link had massive cuts and bruises all over his face, chest, near his neck, all over his arms particularly his left arm, his shoulders, and his legs were covered in deep gashes as well. As Nudge flipped him over to check his back, Tetra saw a particularly nasty deep gash that covered nearly the length of Link's entire back as if Ganondorf's sword had sliced right through it near the end of their battle! Ganondorf had savagely beaten Link and truly did everything in his power to kill him despite the King's wish of a future for Link and Tetra! Tetra cringed seeing all of these wounds. Aryll was silently crying next to her big brother. Tetra went over to her and put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her, the same way her ancestor had done to her. Tetra then looked at her mother's portrait and in her head kept repeating the same thing.

"Mother…please tell me he is going to be alright?"

Tetra then finally looked over at Nudge and said,

"How is he?"

"I…I think he will be alright Miss Tetra, but whatever happened with you two, it's…it's clear he took an absolutely massive beating. These wounds aren't likely to heal very well ever I don't think. He easily could've died from all of these wounds. I'm…I'm a little surprised he didn't die from these." Nudge responded rather quietly continuing to bandage up Link's wounds. Link was breathing and Tetra could now see he was sleeping based on his breathing. She let out a sigh of pure relief as did Aryll.

Tetra just stood there for a second. She felt very guilty; she had pretty much no injuries at all. Her only injury was her left arm felt strained just a little from holding Link up after he defeated Ganondorf. She still didn't understand this as before she lost consciousness after Ganondorf struck her, she felt unimaginable pain. She couldn't believe how Link managed to charge and leap into the air to kill Ganondorf with all of these injuries. It amazed Tetra even more that Link minutes ago was smiling like none of these injuries mattered to him and how much pain he had to have been in while they were in the water waving back to her crew and Aryll.

After finishing bandaging up Link's wounds, Nudge said they had an extra hammock in her crews sleeping quarters. Tetra agreed to have Link moved there but demanded he gently be carried there. Nudge and Senza very carefully lifted Link up between them and carried him to their sleeping quarters. Placing Link gently in the hammock, they put a blanket over him and let him sleep. Aryll followed them to Link.

Senza returned above deck but Nudge asked if he could chat privately with Tetra for a moment. She agreed and the two of them went to her private cabin for a brief chat. Tetra closed the door and sat on her bed with Nudge sitting on her chair by her desk, just like they had before numerous times.

"So, Miss Tetra... what did happen to the boy?" Nudge asked her rather gently.

"I…I don't think this is the right time now Nudge." Tetra said not angry at him, but made it clear she didn't want to talk much at the moment regarding it. She knew this was what Nudge wanted to ask.

Nudge understood but then added lightly,

"Miss, we are beyond relieved you are ok. We were very worried about you at the Forsaken Fortress when you went to aid him."

Tetra didn't really know how to respond to this. Her crew had shown incredible loyalty. Tetra at that moment wanted to tell Nudge what she now knew about him and the rest of her crew after seeing that painting in Hyrule Castle.

"Yes Miss Tetra, you look like you want to say something?" Nudge asked her seeing her face.

Tetra was about to speak, but then decided at the last second not too. They would know at some point, but without the proper context, she felt it wouldn't be right to reveal this info. She decided she wanted instead to ask Nudge a question.

"Nudge, what did you guys do after you left the Forsaken Fortress?"

"We searched the Great Sea for Link and you Miss Tetra. We saw the postman and that prince carry you both away from the Forsaken Fortress, how the dragon spewed massive fire and burned that top wooden tower completely away there. They took you somewhere southeast along with that massive dragon. We tried to follow you, but eventually lost you. The Postman found us some time later. He told us him and that young Prince had gotten you two away from that frightening man in the Forsaken Fortress and took you to that massive structure we saw rise out of the sea. They left you in the care of Link and his boat and departed along with the dragon and returned home. He told us you had lost consciousness while you at the Forsaken Fortress but that you were ok and Link would look after you. The postman told us Link was worried about you while you were unconscious but he knew that you would be ok and reassured Link. Before he left us, the postman took a letter Aryll had written to Link and promised to deliver it but he did not know Link's current location."

Tetra just sat there silent listening to Nudge. She had wondered what had happened to her crew while she was missing. It felt a little odd to Tetra being back on her ship and in her cabin again after everything that had happened. Nudge continued,

"Gonzo took the lead of the ship, but he was struggling badly without you around…all of us were. We thought of returning Aryll to Outset as you had originally stated but she wanted to stay with us until we had found you two and we agreed. Everyone was quiet for a while and all we did was just search for you. We checked as many islands as we could. Zuko thought at some point he did see Link in his boat, but before we could get any closer, a cyclone came near the boat and it vanished from our sight immediately!"

Tetra smiled a little. She knew what Link had done to do this. Nudge then continued,

"Not long before we found you, the three others on the ship, the two young Rito and the little tree like creature who said he was a Korok found us and told us they could sense where to find you two. We immediately set sail to where they believed you were. Eventually Zuko and Aryll spotted you both floating in the water there."

Tetra just sat silent. Nudge then asked her another question, seeing Tetra's rather unusual quiet demeanor.

"Are you ok, Miss Tetra? I feel some major event has happened between you and Link. The girl Rito and Korok on the ship with us tried to explain things, but we really didn't understand. They said something about Link is now a Legendary Hero and you really being a Princess?"

Tetra looked right at Nudge. He was always the one of her crew who understood her best. Picking her words carefully just as she had done with her mother and her ancestor, she replied back,

"Nudge…I don't feel like this is right time to explain everything that's happened with me and Link. I will explain to you and all the crew at some point. You all do deserve to know." She finished.

Nudge nodded and understood. He didn't ask any other follow up questions other than if Tetra was hurt in any way considering what had happened to Link. She calmly told him no and said he could head back above deck. He nodded and left closing her door behind him as he did.

Tetra sat in bed just staring at the ceiling deep in thought. She then looked over to her picture of the Hero of Time who also had been named Link. Tetra remembered what her ancestor had said of her own Link being fully worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as the Legendary Hero of Time. He was the Hero of Winds now and was a Legendary Hero himself. After what he had done against Ganondorf, he fully deserved his title Tetra thought. Tetra decided she had to get up and go see him even if he was sleeping.

She went back to her crew's quarters and saw Link was still sleeping peacefully it looked like. He had a small smile on his face and he was snoring a little, he had to be beyond exhausted. Tetra couldn't help but laugh a little seeing how cute his snoring was compared to the rest of her crews. Tetra just stared at him, the legendary Hero of Winds and the Hero of the Great Sea. Link though was also something else to Tetra now and she knew it. He wasn't just her friend…he was her hero. Link had saved her life. Tetra now saw him completely differently than she had when they first met. She had a strong urge now to put a hand to his face and started to lean closer to him and just as she was about to get super close, she stopped. She saw someone else was cuddled up next to Link in the hammock underneath the blanket, her little arms hugging him tightly.

Aryll was curled up next to Link sleeping as well. Looking closer, Tetra could see Link had one arm around Aryll, like he was beyond happy despite his injuries knowing he was reunited with his sister. They looked so cute together Tetra thought. It felt a little sad too though also to Tetra seeing this. She never had a sibling, she had her crew after her mother die but that was it. Tetra though was happy to see these two finally reunited. She couldn't even imagine how happy their grandmother would be to see them. A thought then came to Tetra. What had happened to Link and Aryll's parents? She then remembered how Link had lowered his head to pay his respects to her mother's portrait when he went into her cabin that one night. Tetra then realized that just like her, Link didn't have his parents either and probably hadn't for years. Tetra couldn't even remember her own father, she had never seen his picture or face before. Link fully understood that feeling of being an orphan just like her. No wonder he waved goodbye to his grandmother the way he did when he first left Outset Tetra thought. Tetra then felt knots in her stomach thinking of how she had mocked Link when he had done this and how she didn't think he understood that feeling of being an orphan.

Tetra decided to let the two siblings sleep in peace for now. She would wake them when they got close to Outset. Deciding to head back above deck to see how things were going, she started to leave her crew's quarters but then stopped at the door and looked once again at the duo. She smiled and just felt so happy to see them sleeping so peacefully.

Going back above deck, Tetra saw the two Rito were talking along with the little tree like creature. They all looked so happy together. The Prince had just given the girl Rito a beautiful flower and she just giggled with happiness. They stopped and looked at Tetra and all three smiled at her and were beckoning her to come and talk with them. She gave a soft smile in return and made her way over to them.

"Princess Zelda, how is Link?" Prince Komali asked her.

Tetra didn't know how to respond being addressed this way, she privately didn't like it. It didn't feel like her true self. She replied back a little harsher than she should have.

"I do prefer Tetra instead of Princess Zelda."

"I'm so sorry." The prince replied back quickly apologizing.

"No, no, there is no need to, I just…It's still strange for me to know this myself." Tetra replied back calmly but then added, "Link is sleeping right now but he will be ok."

All three let out a sigh of relief, the girl Rito then said,

"Tetra, thank you so much for what you have done. You and Link truly saved all of us."

Tetra didn't know how to respond to this.

"No, Link is the true hero, he risked his life repeatedly." Tetra replied quietly, she knew Link deserved it.

The Prince spoke up again,

"Link is the reason why I am here now and why I had the courage to go the Forsaken Fortress to help you two. Otherwise, I would've just been sitting in my room moping feeling sorry for myself, probably forever. Link showed me what real courage was and I will never be able to thank him enough."

Before Tetra could respond, the girl Rito spoke up.

"Link, helped me too find my true purpose. My name is Medli Tetra. Link helped me discover I was the Earth Sage and that I could help this world and return power to the Master Sword. Despite the constant dangers we faced when he guided me through the Earth Temple to where I needed to go, he was so polite and trusted me to help him solve the challenges of the temple. He saved me on top of Dragon Roost Cavern before this and saved the great sky spirit, Lord Valoo as well. He trusted me from the beginning."

The little Korok also spoke up,

"My name is Makar Tetra and Link helped me awaken who I truly was as the Wind Sage. He saved me in the Wind Temple when I was kidnapped and before that, he saved me in the Forbidden Woods near Forest Haven. When I was eaten by a massive demon plant creature there, I truly thought my time on earth was over, but he saved me and brought me home safe. I will always thank him for this. I have heard as well how he helped all my fellow Koroks plant magnificent new trees upon the Great Sea so new forests can spread. Link truly is a hero to all of us."

Tetra just stood silent hearing all of this. Link had helped so many people she thought. She remembered what her ancestor had said about him and the Hero of Time always trying to help people. Then Medli spoke again,

"Tetra, you also helped so much. I know this and so does Makar. I want to tell you this as well. When Link and I were in the Earth Temple, I asked Link why he was staying quiet and not talking and he very reluctantly told me how much you meant to him and he had to know you were ok while you were in hiding. He was very concerned after what Ganondorf did to you at the Forsaken Fortress and felt like he had failed to help you there. How when you told Link to "be careful," he took your words seriously knowing how much that meant for you to say but he still vowed to protect you and aid you." Makar nodded to this as well.

Tetra didn't know how to respond to this. She felt a lump in her throat thinking about all of this. How Link did try to be more careful because of her words and how much he said she meant to him and he would protect her. Tetra remembered the look in his eyes when he was chasing after Ganondorf trying to save her. The anger in his face she saw in that moment.

Tetra politely excused herself and returned back to her cabin. The trio said they wanted to see Link and Aryll be returned to Outset and Tetra told them she had no issue with them staying on her ship until then. Tetra shut her door and once again sat on her bed. So many thoughts were going through her head. She looked at her mother's portrait and just wished she could talk to her again especially about Link and talk to her now after what happened in the battle against Ganondorf. She still didn't understand why she felt no pain when she woke up after being attacked by him. Tetra wanted to sleep, well at least her body did, but couldn't. She didn't want to miss them reaching Outset.

Tetra then got back up some time later and went back above deck and stood near where Gonzo was steering the ship. Folding her arms, she felt at that moment truly like her pirate captain self again. It made Tetra feel good inside feeling as though her ancestor's burden she felt was off her shoulders with Ganondorf now officially gone forever and Hyrule now officially forgotten under the sea. That she could sail the seas how she wanted to and wasn't trapped into a certain fate that she privately never wanted but had accepted. Zuko then suddenly yelled that he had spotted something in the water's ahead.

Tetra looked out and could see something red ahead of them…The King of Red Lions boat!

She ordered her crew to bring it aboard. Nudge and Senza hoisted it out of the water. Tetra saw the boat looked lifeless. Its eyes did not light up anymore. She put her hand to her heart. Medli, Makar and Prince Komali all gasped. They obviously did not know what had happened, that the King of Hyrule was now truly dead. Tetra remembered his last words, "I have scattered the seeds of the future." What did that mean? And what did he mean about the next Hyrule being "Your Land?" Tetra remembered that his wish is why her ancestor's burden was now off her shoulders now. That she was able to do what she wanted and had a future instead of being stuck in Hyrule below the sea. Tetra held her emotions in check, but she then wondered how Link would react to seeing his boat this way. He had spent so much time with the King not even realizing it. The two obviously had become close. For now she had Nudge and Senza put it inside the hold. She didn't want Link to see it especially right as he was arriving home.

The remaining voyage now seemed to go quickly. Zuko estimated they had probably an hour before they would reach Outset. Tetra herself was just counting down the time now. She wondered how it would feel knowing finally after everything her and Link had gone through for him to finally be home.

Zuko shouted out now he could see the island, they were extremely close! Tetra hesitated waking the two siblings up but she wanted them to see the island as they got closer. Tetra very carefully went down below deck and gently nudged Link awake, but then instead of waiting for him to wake up fully, she quickly ran back up deck. As they were near the pier, she could see people of the island starting to gather there. They were of all ages. Tetra ordered Gonzo to carefully park the ship next to the pier which he did extremely well as Nudge dropped the anchor. The door leading inside the hold opened and out came Aryll running out very closely followed by Link. Tetra looked and while Link was covered in bandages, he didn't wince in pain in any way though. He was beyond tough just as Tetra thought when he survived being thrown out of the Forsaken Fortress. The two siblings had looks of pure joy on their faces. The two were the first to disembark. Waiting for them at edge of the pier was an older woman, their grandmother.

"Grandma!" Aryll cried, tears forming in her eyes as she rushed her.

"Aryll!" her grandmother cried out, tears in her own eyes and the two embraced. Tetra kept her emotions in check but this was hard for her. She looked at her crew and saw some of them struggling to keep their own emotions in check as well watching this scene unfold.

"Link!" His grandmother cried out spotting him.

"Oh my, what happened to you Link!?" She exclaimed seeing all of his bandages, a worried look on her face.

"I'm fine Grandma." Link replied calmly with a smile. "Trust me, I'm fine."

Link and Aryll went around greeting everyone. There were two older men there, one was carrying a spear and as Tetra disembarked herself, she overheard him tell Link something.

"Master Link, master swordsman you are…welcome home."

Tetra nodded her head to this though she wasn't sure if she liked "Master Link" or "Hero of Winds" better. Hero of Winds she decided felt better. Though she did agree Link was a true master swordsman, the best in all the Great Sea and now below it as well.

As Link and Aryll continued to greet everyone, Tetra felt truly happy seeing how nice it was to see all of them back together again. Prince Komali and Medli got off her ship along with Makar and all three of them looked at Link at the pier and he turned to face them.

Medli started to speak, Tetra noticed her and Prince Komali were now holding their wings together like two humans holding hands.

"Link, thank you for everything you have done from the beginning."

Prince Komali added,

"Link, the entire Rito tribe is entirely in your debt. I personally can never thank you enough for giving me the courage to stand up for what it right."

Link nodded towards him and responded back,

"Thank you for saving us at the Forsaken Fortress along with Quill. I haven't had the chance to personally thank him yet, so if I do not see him; will you thank him for me?"

Prince Komali nodded and said he would.

Tetra then had to say something to Prince Komali as well before anyone else spoke,

"Forgive me for not saying this earlier, but I want to thank both you and Quill for saving me at the Forsaken Fortress. I…I am sorry I did not say this earlier and can you please tell Quill that I…I am sorry how rude I was to him whenever I talked with him." She felt embarrassed for her actions earlier with him especially knowing that he had convinced her to take Link with her in the first place to the Forsaken Fortress.

Prince Komali nodded and smiled at Tetra.

Makar then addressed Link,

"Link, I still remember when all of us Koroks called you swordsman when we first met you, you are not just a swordsman, you are a true hero to all of us. I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done. I know the Great Deku Tree would thank you as well as would all the other Koroks and Link…thank you for saving me from that demon plant monster and helping my fellow Koroks."

Link nodded to Makar and said to both Medli and Makar,

"Thank you both for re-powering the Master Sword back to its full glory. Without either of you, I never would've stood a chance against Ganondorf."

Both Medli and Makar nodded back to Link smiling.

Tetra kept silent but was honored she was able to witness this.

Medli then spoke,

"I…I believe it is time for us to depart for home now. We are free to after the King's wish. Link, we can never thank you enough for everything that you have done for us."

She came towards him and gave Link a big hug. Tetra could see Link's eyes were closed and he had a smile on his face. Prince Komali then stepped forward and hugged Link too thanking him for giving him, as he had said, the courage to be more like him.

Makar also floated into the air using his propeller on his back and when he got to Link, Link held him and both smiled and thanked each other for helping the other one out. All three then went and hugged Tetra too thanking her for everything she had done. Tetra smiled through all of this.

All three as they began to fly in the air to head home they looked to Tetra and Link and said,

"Thank you Tetra for everything that you have done and good bye Link! May the winds of the sea have us cross paths again someday!"

Link and Tetra watched them all leave, the two young Rito flying together clearly now fully in love and Makar flying high in the sky back towards the Forest Haven. Everyone was silent for a little and then Link's grandmother finally asked if anyone wanted anything to eat. Aryll nodded and she and her Grandmother, closely followed by Link started walking back towards their house. Tetra's crew started talking with the rest of those on Outset.

As Link and Aryll walked up towards their house with their grandmother, Tetra followed though at a distance. What a truly odd feeling as she walked the beach. The last time here, she had mocked Link's shield standing here in this spot and mocked him about his ability to possibly handle one. She tried to get this memory out of her mind as her ancestor and mother had told her, but it still was hard to especially knowing him properly using his shield helped them defeat Ganondorf and saved her and everyone.

Eventually Tetra got near the door to Link's house. Link was happily waiting for her to arrive. Link then said as Tetra then for a second stopped and looked back toward her ship lost in her thoughts.

"Princess Zelda, aren't you coming in?"

"Link…you know you can call me Tetra!" Tetra snapped a little annoyed, but she smiled a little hearing him say this showing his manners. She really didn't like being called Zelda. Yet Link calling her Zelda didn't bother Tetra the way it did with anyone else calling her by that name. Her heart fluttered a little after hearing him call her that name.

"Ok…Tetra, are you coming in now?" Link asked her. Tetra nodded to him.

The two went into Link's house. It was a nice and cozy little house Tetra thought. Tetra saw Aryll and her grandmother were by a ladder talking. Aryll was telling her Grandma everything that had happened. Her Grandmother let out a couple of gasps looking over at Link. Link just seemed to brush these off and smiled. It was now early evening. Link's Grandmother wanted to look at his massive injuries, but he smiled and said he had a way to heal them and asked Tetra to come with him to another part of the island.

Before Tetra knew it, her and Link were walking to the other side of the island having crossed the bridge separating the two areas of land and were walking up the cliff behind a house. Link having borrowed another sword from Orca as Tetra learned, sliced away the trees blocking their way. Tetra told Link she had her cutlass, but Link felt he needed to have one just in case. Tetra wondered what on earth Link was doing. He still looked rather weak from his wounds, was he going to battle again? As they reached the top, Tetra saw he was walking towards a bridge, she heard Link mention how the bridge had been fixed since the last time he had been here and good thing as he didn't have his Deku leaf he said to float over the gap as he did before. But to Tetra looking at the bridge, it was the same bridge as before. The same bridge that Link's sister had been kidnapped on! Tetra stopped and Link looked at her curiously.

"Link, let's go back, I…I don't want to go back in there." Tetra told him nervously. Bad memories were coming back to her. Tetra hated remembering that image of Aryll being kidnapped instead of her and her being stuck in that tree.

"It's ok, Tetra, I promise." Link responded calmly.

"Do you not remember how you nearly fell here after chasing after that bird, how it took you sister?!" Tetra asked in disbelief how relaxed Link seemed to be about this.

"Yes…I remember, but there is a reason I wanted to come here with you, well actually two reasons. I do still remember all of that, but knowing that Ganondorf is gone now as well as his monster bird…I do feel completely at ease going here." He admitted truthfully shrugging his shoulders a little.

Tetra reluctantly agreed to cross the bridge and walked right behind Link who had his sword ready just in case there was anything waiting for them. As they entered the woods awaiting them, Tetra let out a gasp, Link did as well!

There were many small fairies floating in the air! The area itself, as the early night sky started to appear, was breathtaking Tetra thought. It was beautiful to look at. To both Tetra and Link's surprise, there were no monsters in the forest either. It was like the forest was now what it was supposed to be. Link and Tetra made their way through the woods toward the back and they saw a giant woman with four arms floating in the sky near where the fairy fountain Link had planned on using was. She smiled at the two of them as they approached and said,

"Welcome Young Waker of the Winds and Princess of Hyrule."

Tetra just stared at her stunned. How did she know who Tetra really was?

Link then spoke very politely to her,

"May we be healed by the fairies of this fountain?"

The great fairy answered him,

"Of course Hero of Winds, let the fairies of this fountain ease your weariness."

Suddenly, numerous small fairies encircled them. One floated near Tetra and circled her going up and down her body and suddenly the small pain she had in her arm from the strain of holding up Link earlier vanished! She felt completely healed. She looked over at Link and gasped as he had two fairies circling him up and down his body. He had taken off all the bandages covering him and all his wounds were closing completely healed! He yelled out in massive relief and that he felt completely fine now. Tetra didn't understand this. She figured this was one of his reasons for coming back here.

Link then slowly walked back over to another part of the forest near the entrance and Tetra followed him. He had climbed up a small little ledge and now Link stopped and was looking up at a tree. Tetra didn't understand why he was. Climbing up herself, Tetra saw Link had a smile on his face, like he was thinking about something in a flashback. Looking closer at the tree she could see what remained of a decent size branch that had broken off; it was the same tree she had fallen from when they first met. Tetra looked at Link angry!

"You think it's funny that I was stuck up there and then fell from there!?" she asked him enraged, her face beyond heated now!

"No Tetra… I just wanted to look at the place where I first met you especially with you being here now. I still feel bad I wasn't able to get over to you in time to catch you when you fell from that branch. How you were hurt when you fell." Link replied back very quietly.

Tetra stopped and stared at Link. He now had a bashful look in his face like he felt he shouldn't have said anything as was looking away from her. A lump formed in Tetra's throat. Tetra then smiled and winked at him. She knew now what his other reason for coming up here with her was. Then Tetra had a thought pop into her mind while looking at all of fairies floating around them now seeing how they had healed him and her. Looking directly at Link, she asked him with a look of curiosity on her face.

"Link… during the battle with Ganondorf, did you do something after I was attacked by him? When I woke up, I felt completely ok with no pain despite when he hit me I felt unreal pain for a split second before I blacked out?"

Link's face had an even shyer look to it now. Tetra could tell he did not want to actually tell her what he did. Tetra pressed him again.

"Link, I know you did something! Just say it!" She said frustrated and annoyed he wouldn't say anything.

After staying silent for a few minutes, Link started quietly talking but struggled getting his words out and tried to avoid Tetra's eyes or look at her.

"After he attacked you…He was about to kill you and… I drove him away from you. I didn't have any time though to check your heart beat or pulse…You weren't moving at all. I…I had a fairy like one of the ones here in the forest in a bottle. It was my last defense…My last resource. I…I didn't hesitate…I released it near you and charged back towards Ganondorf immediately. I...I wanted it to heal you…not me." Link then just stared at the ground. He was waiting for Tetra to yell at him for being reckless. He was waiting for her to tell him that she was never in any true danger and that he should've kept the fairy for himself considering his injuries even if in Link's mind and heart he would make the same decision every time and would not hesitate to do so.

Tetra just stared at Link. She had the same stunned look on her face she did right before the King of Hyrule revealed her identify to her. Then the lump in Tetra's throat got bigger and her heart started beating out of control! She looked away from Link to comprehend what he had just said. Link had given up his last resource to save himself… to save her! He had been willing to die so she could live! Considering how severe his injuries were, he nearly did die! For him to still keep fighting against Ganondorf despite how savagely he had been attacked by him and not worry about his own safety and only focus on protecting her from him. Tetra then looked at Link again and saw he still was staring at the ground sadly like he was waiting for her to yell at him like she had in the past for his decision making.

Without thinking another second, Tetra suddenly launched herself into Link and flung her arms around his neck hugging him tightly! Link was completely shocked by this and nearly fell over, but found his footing and then slowly put his arms softly around Tetra embracing her back and closed his eyes feeling truly 100% at peace with the world at the moment. Tetra hugged Link even tighter then her own eyes closed. Tetra had her head buried in his shoulder, her face touching his neck. She wasn't crying, she refused to but she felt completely safe in Link's arms. He was a Legendary Hero now but most importantly to Tetra, her own hero! Tetra at that moment didn't care if her crew or anyone else saw them like this. All that truly mattered to her was that she was with Link. Both Tetra's and Link's hearts were beating rapidly as their chests touched but completely in rhythm with the other ones. Tetra then whispered in his ear,

"Link… Thank you…" they were the only words she could say.

Link responded whispering in her ear. He too was struggling to speak,

"No Tetra…Thank you. Without you…I would've failed. You… gave me the inner strength to defeat him. You saved me from him. I… never could have done any of this without you."

Tetra wanted to respond and tell Link something, but her words got caught in her throat and she couldn't say anything else. She just kept her eyes closed gently resting her head on Link's shoulder. She continued to hold him tightly. He was without question the most important person in her life now.

Link and Tetra stood in this same position for what felt like hours, neither wanted to break apart from the other. They were standing exactly where the two had first met. The pair then finally broke apart simultaneously and just stared into the others eyes; they didn't even realize their hands were in the others. They just softly gazed at each other like time itself was frozen. Both then leaned forward and their heads touched their eyes closed. Both just stood like this for ever it felt like. The connection between the two was beyond powerful. The full moon was out and the fairies continued to float around them. The forest felt so magical, like it had been centuries ago when the legendary hero himself once walked through it.

Finally, they both turned and walked out of the forest silently and walked back across the bridge. It was clear it was well into the night. Both continued walking down the path silently holding hands occasionally looking at the other and would smile at the other when they did. Finally as they crossed the bridge back towards Link's house, they both looked at each other, silently nodded at each other smiling and Link went towards his house and Tetra went toward her ship. Her heart was fluttering out of control.

Climbing aboard and heading inside her ship, her crew was awake as if they were waiting for her and Gonzo asked her in an inquisitive way,

"Miss Tetra, where have you been yeah?"

Tetra snapped back to reality immediately and said in a very angry tone since her thoughts of Link had been interrupted.

"I have been busy, why does it matter to any of you!"

Gonzo looked terrified at her response. Tetra then went to her private cabin and slammed her door shut! Her crew just looked stunned. They had zero idea what had just happened between her and Link though Nudge had a look on his face that he knew something had happened between the two.

Tetra as she got into bed just laid there and thought for a while, her heart was still beating rapidly. Link had been willing to die for her she thought. He gave up his last resource to save her. How he drove Ganondorf away from her despite his own injuries. How he told her he never could've done anything of this without her and she gave him the inner strength to defeat Ganondorf. The feeling when their heads touched and that connection she felt with Link. Tetra as she was thinking this didn't realize how fast her heart was still beating. She thought back to her and Link's first meeting and remembered thinking he was cute at the time despite not caring about him at all. Tetra thinking about all of this and his words in the forest this evening realized something; she had feelings for Link now seeing what he had done for her and that he clearly cared about her wellbeing. How he still felt bad about not catching her when she fell when they first met. It was one thing for her crew to care about her being their captain, but to have someone around her own age who cared about her. Someone who was beyond kind but at the same time was a true hero and had been willing to make the ultimate sacrifice to save her. Tetra now wanted to go back into the forest with Link again tomorrow night. Tetra wondered why she felt such a strong connection to him. She looked over toward her mother's portrait thinking. It then finally hit Tetra why after a few minutes.

Link was truly the first person since her mother had died that she felt she could truly be herself with and could connect with. Tetra knew she was an elusive personality type especially ever since her mother had died and never had been attached to anyone other than her mother and her crew and even then she never could talk about things with her crew the way she could with Link. She had met very few outside people and never thought anything about them when she did meet them but Link was different. Link ever since he had met Tetra had just wanted to befriend her and just seemed to be happy being with her despite her original attitude toward him. It was like he knew who she really was inside but at the same time liked her just the way she was as well.

Tetra as she started to fall asleep turned her thoughts to about how happy it was to see Link and Aryll reuniting with her Grandmother. How they were together again. How the smiles they flashed to each other were when they arrived back on Outset. Tetra was just glad the two siblings were home. She fell asleep thinking this.

The King of Hyrule was in front of Tetra at the top of Ganondorf's tower. The conversation they had before he had drowned was replaying itself.

"You could…You could come with us! Yes of course …We have a ship! We can find it! We WILL find it! The land will be the next Hyrule!" Tetra passionately stated smiling slightly.

"So…" she looked at the King hoping her words had convinced him.

He didn't say anything, but then his face broke into a warm smile. He closed his eyes. Tetra had never seen the King smile before. He then spoke rather gently to her.

"Ah, but child…That land will not be Hyrule."

Tetra looked shocked.

The King then said loudly and proudly.

"It will be YOUR land!" His eyes closed as he drowned…

Tetra woke up shaking; she realized what she needed to do. She needed to find the next Hyrule. It was her fate to and she couldn't ignore it. While the burden of the old Hyrule was gone, Tetra knew she wanted to find the next great land. She knew she owed this to her ancestors after everything they had done and the King considering his wish is the reason she was back on her pirate ship right now instead below the sea. This had escaped her mind since she discovered the King's boat. She knew she would find the new Hyrule eventually but if she did than that would mean…

Tetra's thoughts turned to Link. She would have to leave this island to find it and possibly… Link behind. No, she thought, he would want to come with her. After all, the King had said to BOTH of them, "It will be YOUR land!" But then Link would be leaving his only family behind. The same family he had fought so hard to reunite. The one he risked his life repeatedly to bring together again. The only reason he had started his adventure and got caught up in all of this. Tetra couldn't ask his family to come with them and make the dangerous trip. Tetra now was sweating; a great fear had popped up in her mind. She remembered what her ancestor had told the Hero of Time as she sent him back to his childhood, her voice echoing now inside Tetra's mind.

"Now, go home Link. Regain your lost time! Home…where you are supposed to be…the way you are supposed to be…" Tetra started to drift back to sleep. She watched the Hero of Time vanish! No that couldn't happen to her Link, this was impossible…

Tetra was leaving Outset on her pirate ship. Tetra was looking back at the island just like she did when she first left it except Tetra's eyes were now terrified! Link was still there standing on the pier watching her ship leave, he was horrified by what was happening! He started sprinting to jump into the ocean towards her! His arm was outstretched reaching for her! Tetra was yelling back to him! Thick fog started to appear blocking Tetra's view of Link; Link then vanished entirely from Tetra's sight! He was gone forever!

Tetra screamed waking up,

"NO!"

Gonzo and Nudge burst into her room to check on her! She yelled at them she was fine and ordered them to leave her immediately! Gonzo did so at once scared seeing her upset, but Nudge looked at Tetra and could tell something was deeply troubling her but he respected her orders and left as well. The door quietly shut behind him.

Tetra's eyes then filled with some tears. No, it couldn't happen she thought. But then she remembered what her ancestor had told her after her memory ended with sending back the Hero of Time. She looked over at his picture on the wall.

"Tetra, I hope you never have to make a decision like that like I did. It…it was the hardest decision of my life to do so but I truly hope you never have to make any decision like that but I will say this, what has haunted me now over the years about my actions is not giving Link the right to make his own choice on his fate. He deserved to after everything he did. You must remember that and any decision must only be for him to make without any outside interference." Her ancestor Zelda's voice echoing again inside Tetra's mind.

Tetra could not sleep now. Link did have a decision to make. Either travel with her to find the next Hyrule or stay and live with his family on Outset and for Tetra to never see him again. He would never be able to find her if she left she felt. She would be beyond his reach. Neither he nor she would have any way to contact the other. The gossip stones would not reach that far. The next Hyrule could be so far away from Outset that it could take years to go back and forth between the two places even knowing the path. She remembered what her ancestor had told her, she could not sway Link's decision one way or the other and could not make it for him. Tetra just stared at the ceiling and struggled to fall back asleep. She was afraid of having other horrible nightmares.
