Chapter 9
I am so sorry it's taken so long to get this up. Its been a combo of things lack of ideas, not like the ideas I did get for a while. Than some health issues. So this is shorter than I think all the other chapters. But its set up for the final battle with Jon and Dark Servo.
"He's actually going to defeat Servo," Shelby says as she watches the battle. "Yes and once that has happened I shall be free to take over both the digital world and your flesh world. And you Shelby shall reap the rewards. Now Dark Servo finish your task!" Back in the battle Jon/Servo is still trapped. "Let me go," Servo yells hitting the virus with his free hand. Dark Servo is ready to stab Servo through the back but than three blasts hit him at once. "Hang on Servo we're here," Rebecca says from Borr. Will in Tracto uses his lasers hitting the virus in the side getting it to let go of Servo's arm. Linda in Vitor uses the containment ring to shut the Virus's mouth. Dark Servo is getting back up but Jon/Servo takes him down with a fire ball attack. "Team we need to stop the virus to save the plane," Servo says taking command. "We got you Servo what do you want to do?" Rebecca asks. "You three take the double. I'll finish off the virus," Jon/Servo says. "Right," The other three say at once.
The three vehicles break off and go after Dark Servo. "I have no problem crushing you three first," Dark Servo says before firing a blast of power. "Form Zenon guys," Rebecca orders. The crafts come together. Dark Servo charges and starts to exchange blows. Dark Servo lands a blow to the chest knocking Zenon down. Meanwhile Jon/Servo is landing a series of kicks he sees Zenon going down and knows he needs to finish his fight quickly. Calling on Grid power he fires a shot through his gauntlet and destroyed the virus. Jon/Servo manages repairs the damage returning control of the flight to the pilots. With that done he turns back to Dark Servo and Zenon. Trying to take control Zenon launched its fist missiles but Dark Servo deflected them. With out the hands Zenon is a sitting duck as Dark Servo charges.
Jon/Servo flies in and tackles his doppelganger. "You and me pal," Jon/Servo says as they both stand back up. "If you want to rush into your doom that is fine with me," Dark Servo says. The two Servo's advance at each other. The two are even matched landing and blocking the same amount of attacks. "Come on you have to stop him," Shelby says watching the battle take place. "No we must withdraw him from the battle. With Servo's support programs he is out numbered. For now the battle is lost," The master says before withdrawing Dark Servo from the battle. "NO!" Jon/Servo yells. "We will get him next time," Will says. "Get back to base team," Sydney tells them.
A few seconds later in the team returns to the real world. "I can't believe he got away again," Jon says before anyone else can speak. "Don't worry about it. You will get him," Sam says trying to assure his son. "Yeah clearly the guy doesn't like a fair fight," Tanker adds. "And don't forget you all saved a lot of lives by correcting the issue with the flight," Sydney adds. "And that thing is still out there because I failed to stop it," Jon says. "You did your best Jon. Given how beat up you were I stunned you are standing," Rebecca says. "You will get him next time," Linda says. Jon kicks the sofa out of frustration. "Easy son," Sam warns. Jon starts to feel dizzy and collapses into Sam's arms.
"I'm fine," Jon says after a second. "The hell you are. We're going back to the hospital," Sam says. "I said I was fine," Jon says as someone rings the doorbell. "I'll get rid of them," Tanker says. A few seconds later he returns followed by Detective Mansell who is holding a warrant. "Sam I think you should call a lawyer," Sydney says. "I just wanted to check up and make sure Jon is doing okay," Mansell says. "You needed a warrant for that?" Sam asks. "I also need to check Jon's room," Mansell says. "Not a chance!" Jon yells. "Dude I don't think you can do anything if a judge signed off on it," Will says. Everyone knows Will is right. "Right this way detective," Sam says through gritted teeth.
Thirty Minutes Later
Jon watched as the Detective and a few uniform cops looked over his room. "Well what do we have here?" A cop says pulling a box out from under Jon's bed. "Oh no," Jon thinks. Sam looks at his son and gets a bad feeling. Mansell takes the box and opens it finding a stash of pot a lighter and a pipe. "I'm sorry," Jon mouths to his father. He hadn't touched that damn box in months. "Hmm interesting you know this breaks the law? And you are also under probation for an incident last year," Mansell says to Jon. "What is this a witch hunt? You couldn't get me so now you turn Jon into a target," Sam rants. "Easy Sammy," Sydney says taking his hand. "We found evidence of a crime while looking into another one. Hands behind you back," Mansell says to Jon. "Is that really necessary?" Rebecca asks. Jon doesn't say anything and just does as asked.
Meanwhile in the Digital World
"Master I have failed you," Dark Servo says. "Do not worry our time will comes soon enough. You have shown you are superior to the Servo program. However we must solve two main problems," The master says. "The support programs and how quickly I run through power," Dark Servo says frustrated. "I shall take care off both my child. First I must contact your creator," The master says before transporting back to Shelby's hard drive. To his annoyance he finds her doing homework. "Our moment of triumph is upon us human. And you waste your time with school work." Shelby takes a deep breath. "I think I have explained I like doing normal things. And I can't focus on drawing a new virus twenty for seven," Shelby reminds him. "I need you to get back to work."
Shelby puts her books aside and asks, "do we have a target?" "Yes if Dark Servo is to defeat the original he will need more power I need you to reprogram Super Drain as well as Double Trouble." "Why Double Trouble?" "That virus's special ability will be key in stopping the support programs." Shelby takes a very deep breath. "I get to it," She says. The master program watches her work. "You foolish girl. You were so easy to manipulate. When your idiot father went to jail you were desperate. Once I rule the world you will be no better than any other meat thing."
Police Station
Jon sat in an interview room. He hears the doors open but doesn't bother looking up. "Mansell you know in the movies they give a guy a harmonica to pass the time," Jon complains. A very different voice from Mansell replies. "Well life isn't like the movies." Jon sees a man with short black hair about the same age as his dad entering. The man sits across the table from him. "I am Doctor Frink," The man introduces himself. "I have to talk to a doctor because I smoked pot," Jon says. "You don't have to do anything. Given your history maybe you would like to talk to a doctor," Frink says. "No thanks. I'd rather get out of here," Jon says. Suddenly the lights go out.
Same Time
Sam and Syd were in his car driving to the police station. He had contacted an attorney to meet them there. Syd was there mainly to keep him calm. "Sam, Jon is smart kid he will be fine," she tells him. "He shouldn't have to be fine. Jon has been doing great lately. But than this Dark Servo shows up and Mansell. As dumb as this may sound and my heart stops every time Jon is danger. But the mega viruses coming back gave Jon a focus and a purpose. Than this Dark Servo thing shows up and Mansell comes back... And now we are caught in a traffic jam," Sam says as he hits the brakes. "I think the traffic lights are out," Sydney says.
Shelby's Home
"Great the power is out," Shelby thinks as she flips a light switch a few times. She than sees her computer is still on. "Wait that isn't possible there is a battery for my desktop," She says out loud. Looking at the screen she is horrified. "No they can't! That will kill so many people. This is to far," She yells and even starts pressing buttons but there is no response.
Back at the Station
"I'll be right back," Dr. Frink says getting up. "Like I'm going any where," Jon says sarcastically. Once Jon is alone his wrist communicator starts to beep and flash. "HEY I NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!" Jon says. No response. He looks back at his wrist. Finally the doctor returns. "You okay Jon?" He asks. "You need to get me out of here," Jon says. "Look I'm sorry that isn't going to happen. You broke the terms..." "Than at least get me my phone," Jon snaps. "Why do you need your phone?" Frink asks stunned to see how upset Jon has gotten. "You won't understand... I just need to see my phone," Jon says. "I can't do that there are rules. If you like to contact a lawyer you will have to use a land line," Frink explains.
The lights blink back on and than off again. "Its the power plant," Jon says. "They aren't sure what is causing this," Frink claims. Joh knows and it's got him scared to death. And if Servo doesn't stop it soon this might be the end. Jon takes a deep breath. "Doc what you know about computer viruses?" Jon asks. The Doctor gives Jon a strange look. "Now why do you ask that?"
Digital World
The master program watched as Dark Servo and the mega viruses worked and destroyed the system they were in. "These humans are so foolish. They find this technology and use it. Yet it can so easily be a disaster. Nuclear power even started as a weapon," the master program thinks. "Faster my children send this power plant into meltdown!" He commanded.
