Chapter 10
Mandek's Fate
Author: Hi readers, I am sorry that i'm late posting the last chapter of this fanfiction. I have been busy playing my new games that i get for Christmas, so i decided that this chapter will be a short one.
While Cael and Saphira were occupied, Ayra, Islanzadi and Orik were in the throne room. They were about to begin the meeting.
"Now that we've got Mandek in custody, we need to decide his fate and whether not to delay the blood oath. Do i have any suggestions?" Islanzadi started the meeting while Ayra and Orik were standing in front of her.
"I believe that Mandek should be put to death Islanzadi." Orik suggested as Ayra was shocked at Orik's answer.
"Are you fucking nuts, you just want to protect your hide Orik." Ayra argues with Orik, who wants peace in Alagaesia for the dragon race. Orik glared at Ayra, who had the same look.
"So what if i care about protecting my people Ayra, our alliance was brought together by the preview queen to end Galbatorix's reign of terror." Orik replied as Ayra was about to argue back Islanzadi voiced her opinion.
"I agree with Orik, Ayra. Because i would've done the same with Ellesmera. To end a tranny, you must make hard decisions to protect your people Ayra. Before i decide Mandek's fate, What is your opinion, my daughter?" Islanzadi asked her heir as Ayra bit her lip a little bit.
"My opinion is to show Mandek his error ways to him, so that he can help us in defeating the mad king." Ayra answered as she hoped to make Mandek good.
"That is a noble goal Ayra, but based on the story that Adara told me. Mandek will not stop until every simple dragon is killed off. Furthermore, i've decided to have Mandek executed in public, to show that any trailer within Ellesmera is not welcome at all. That is my final decision." Islanzadi announced as Ayra knew that she can't overrule her mothers ruling in a meeting, even though she is a hair to Islanzadi.
Ayra frowned as she knew that her mother was right, but that left one question: what about the blood oath?
"Mother, will the blood oath be delayed?" Ayra asked Islanzadi as orik had the same idea.
"Yes, i would like to know as will Islanzadi." Orik replied as he crossed his arms, who wanted to know as well.
As Ayra and Orik stared at Islanzadi, who knew it was a possibility of an attack by Galbatorix's force or another dark force at play. But Galbatorix does not know about Cael all at, who can surprise Galbatorix with his combat skills.
"The blood-oath celebration will stay as scheduled, but i will increase the number of evlen guards in case of an attack from Galbatorix's army. Also Eragon will continue his training with Oromis, Cael and Adara will help him along the way." Islanzadi stated as Ayra and Orik nodded their heads.
"I will go and tell Eragon then." Ayra sighs as she leaves the throne room room to find the young rider and tell him the good news, while Orik still in the room, bowed his head as he left to go back to his clan of dwarfs.
