Chapter 6

Chaos. Pure and utter chaos.

That was what the room was in the moment she and Peter stepped into the room. There was a girl, she assumed this was Amity seeing as she was younger than the other female in the room, arguing with a dirty blond about the best sword-fighting style. A white-haired male? Female? She didn't know and didn't truly care. Was painting on the table. Alessio was chatting with a woman who could only be Lucille, and Erland was in the back-corner writing in a journal.

"WE ARE HERE!" She flinched slightly at how loud Peter's shout was. But it did its job. Everyone stopped and looked at them. Unconsciously she hid behind the younger boy, uncomfortable from all the stares directed at her.

Erland was the first to respond. "Come sit with me!" He called, waving them over. That sparked for everyone to start talking at once. Except for Alessio, who remained silent, seemingly regarding the situation with calculative eyes. Then the door at the other end of the room swung open. Its occupants once again fell silent. Curiously, she came out from hiding to see who had somehow managed to get everyone to be quiet.

It was a man. He was dressed in a red cloak with a golden brooch holding it closed; a white, cotton shirt with ruffles on the sleeves and a ruffled cravat. Completing his outfit were black pants and brown boots that went up to his knees laced expertly with a bow knot tying it together. Curly hair, that reminded the girl of chocolate, falling just above his shoulders. Complimenting his gold-coloured eyes and olive skin. His aura commanded the room. All in all, he looked like somebody out of a story and could only be, in her mind, the leader of this group.

His eyes scanned the room before they finally made contact with hers. He smiled warmly. He subsequently walked briskly across the room and stopped just in front of her. He took her right hand in both of his and bowed gently while keeping eye contact. She was confused but something told her that it was only proper to smile and curtesy slightly back.

"You must be the young lady that my students brought in." He kissed her hand then straightened up, still having her hand clasped in his. "My name is Romilda Ada Vargas. It's a pleasure to meet you." The girl's mouth moved on its own. It was like she had experience with situations like this, or, at least, similar ones.

"The pleasure is mine. My name is Lili Auer." Lili Auer? Was that her name? Romilda seemed to stiffen, but it could have been her imagination.

He closed-eyed smiled, clasping his hands together in front of himself. "What a lovely name." Beside her, Peter shifted slightly. There was an awkward silence. Someone coughed. Romilda relaxed, or he appeared to, Lili knew better than to fully believe in a facade like that, taking command of the room. "Right! Well, I'm sure that Lucille made us a wonderful lunch, we don't want it to get cold, now would we?" With that, the room started moving; the conversation temporarily forgotten.

Hey guys! I haven't updated in a while, haven't I. School just has been really weird lately, definitely not the high school experience that I was expecting. I was attending school in person but recently moved online because this province is stupid. heh. Anyways, I know this is a super short chapter, only 534 words, but once the holidays start I'll definitely update more consistently seeing as I'll have more free time.

And remember folks: DO things that make you happy, even if its only for 5 minutes. Take a break, I know it a really stressful and scary time right now but we will get through this together! Comment what you've been doing to stay distressed during these times. Y'all amazing and Thank You!
