General AN:
Merry Christmas or happy holidays for whatever you may celebrate. The fanfiction I've been working on all year is now being edited and beta read and will post early next year. Since it is a choose your own adventure, which this site doesn't allow, you can vote on my profile what choice free version you want me to post here. The full thing will be on AO3.
But now: Enjoy a little fic about a "normal" Christmas.

A Christmas Dance
Harry and Ginny enjoy a Christmas dance before heading to the Burrow.
There was a truly massive stack of presents beneath the Christmas tree in Grimmuald Place's living room. The entire house was illuminated by fairy lights and the smell of fresh pine wafted from the evergreens. In the background the wizarding wireless was playing Christmas music. Ginny and Harry were double checking that they had everything they needed to take over to the Burrow; foremost the stack of presents.
"Can you think of anything we might be forgetting?" Ginny pushed back a strand of hair.
Harry shook his head, "Worst case we just apparate back over here."
"Fair," Ginny admitted, "I'm still not used to being this organized in my packing."
"I'll get you used to it eventually," Harry's lips twitched.
Ginny grinned at him, "Or I'll corrupt you."
"Nah, Hermione will scold us back on track."
A laugh startled out of Ginny, "True. So, what do we do with our remaining hour?"
Just then a soft tune came on. It was a familiar one from the dancing classes they were taking in preparation for their wedding. To both of their astonishment they really enjoyed the classes and were planning on continuing them.
"Care for this dance?" Harry held his hand out to Ginny while creating space with a flick of his wand.
"Of course," she took his hand and let him pull her close, slowly waltzing to the melody. Relaxing against Harry's lead Ginny let the stress of pre-Christmas fall from her. She fully expected him to let go when the song was over, but instead he led her into a much more energetic foxtrot to match the beat of the next song.
"Don't hit the tree!" Ginny laughed.
"No worries, I won't." Harry whirled her through the next few steps getting precariously close to the couch.
Another twirl and Ginny felt the branches of the tree brush against her back. "Harry!"
"Okay, okay," Harry grinned, but kept their movements a bit further away from the furniture. They carried on energetically dancing through the next two songs but slowed down after that.
The gentle chime of Harry's alarm spell reminded them that they were supposed to go to the Burrow in ten minutes. Finishing up their final dance, they gathered up everything they needed to take. Then they stepped out of Grimmuald Place and apparated to the Burrow for the main Christmas festivities.
