At the Lookout, discord and frustration was running through the minds of the villains. Harold, Mayor Humdinger, Sweetie, and Ladybird were blaming each other over the setbacks in their plan, and the arguments got even more heated when they discovered that they had lost the Relic of Dimensions.

"You lost it?!" Mayor Humdinger yelled.

"You had one job bird lady which was to hold that relic!" Harold added.

"It's Ladybird!" the villainess shrieked, "And for your information, I had to get the Dark Heart from those pesky pups! Besides, Ms. Princess over here wasn't doing anything to help!"

"That's not how you talk to a future Queen!" Sweetie yelled.

"You'll never be Queen you spoiled brat of a pup!" Mayor Humdinger replied.

"ENOUGH!" Henry roared. The villains' faces went white with fear and they quickly stopped arguing.

"I'm not going to tell you again. Stop with the nonsense or I'll skin you all alive." Henry snarled with his eyes glowing a dangerous shade of red.

"Yes sir." Mayor Humdinger, Harold, Sweetie, and Ladybird said quickly.

Henry sighed. He knew that the alliance wasn't going to last much longer. Sweetie and the Humdingers were fed up with each other and Ladybird was only adding fuel to the fire. But the prince's desire for power was more important than the relationship between himself and his partners.

Henry floated over to a shelf where several pictures of Ryder and the pups stood. He picked one up and looked at it for a long moment. The love, loyalty, and happiness between the young heroes was clearly evident. To Henry, it was amazing how strong their bond was. Despite everything, their bond seemed to grow stronger.

"You know, as much as I hate the boy and his mutts, I can't help but feel respect for them." Henry said to his partners.

"Why?" Ladybird said in disgust.

"Yeah, what about them makes you feel respect?" Harold said equally disgusted.

"Their resilience." Henry replied, "It seems like that whatever is thrown at them, no matter how strong, they seem to be able to overcome it every time. And besides, it's not a bad thing to have some respect for your enemies. Because sometimes, they have qualities that almost seem...impossible to achieve. Qualities that you would never think were possible."

"The only quality that kid and his mutts have is that they're annoying." Mayor Humdinger snapped.

"Yeah, always getting in the way of our fun." Harold added.

"And so ridiculously pure that it's sickening." Sweetie grumbled.

"Well, to each their own." Henry replied as he didn't feel like arguing with them. Nor did he want to hear them argue with each other. He set down the photograph and floated out onto the balcony and looked out into the deserted town.

Soon the world would be as bleak and cold as he was...

"So we have to summon the Seven Sorcerers in order to get a protection spell?" the Princess asked.

"Unfortunately yes." Andrew replied.

"Well, how hard would that be?" Arrby asked.

"Not too hard." Andrew replied, "We'd use a spirit summoning spell. The question is whether or not the Seven Sorcerers will give us their blessing."

"But we have no other choice in means of protection from the darkness of the Realm of Shades." Ryder said.

"Good point." Charles replied.

Andrew summoned his spellbook and flipped through until he found the spirit summoning spell. He then began to chant the spell

"Spiritus praeteritorum annorum miliario ab, adiuva nos tenebrae nunc in tempore tam audax, plane vocaturos mortalis ultra septem magos, Quae victoria ut obtineamus!"(Spirits from the past, millennium old, help us now in times of darkness so bold, summon the Seven Sorcerers from beyond the mortal plane, so that victory is what we gain.)

The Scepter of Immortality began glowing and a breeze swept through the Beach Tower. Seven orbs of light appeared and began manifesting into seven ghostly figures. A young man dressed in white, a male German Shepherd dressed in blue, a male Dalmatian dressed in red, a male grey Mixed Breed dressed in green, a male English Bulldog dressed in yellow, a male Chocolate Labrador dressed in orange, and a female Cocker Spaniel dressed in bright pink.

"Hello." the young male spirit said.

"You're the legendary Seven Sorcerers." the Princess said in awe.

"Indeed we are." the spirit said, "I'm Edward."

"I'm Swift." said the German Shepherd.

"I'm Spark." the Dalmatian said.

"I'm Thomas." said the Mixed Breed.

"I'm Bruce." the English Bulldog said.

"I'm Alfred." said the Chocolate Labrador.

"And I'm Aria." said the Cocker Spaniel.

"Well, nice to meet all of you." Marshall said.

"Indeed." Swift said, "You must be the famous PAW Patrol."

"And you seven must be the renowned Canine Knights." Bruce added.

"Nice to know that our descendants are carrying on our mission for good." Edward remarked.

"Wait...what?" the PAW Patrol and Canine Knights said bewildered.

"You're their ancestors?" Andrew added.

"Yes, we are." Aria replied.

Everyone turned and looked to the Canine Knights as if they already knew.

"Don't look at us, we had no idea." Chance said.

"That's why the elements worked on you all when Andrew was raised from the dead." Edward said, "You all are the living embodiment of the elements."

"And that's why you all are so purely good." Katie added.

"Indeed." Spark said, "Now we know why you summoned us."

"Yes, you want us to grant you our protection spell." Bruce added.

"Yes, we do." Ryder said, "We want to banish Henry to limbo. And the place to do it is in the Realm of Shades."

"Will you grant it for us?" Skye asked.

"We will." Edward replied, "But first you must understand the dangers you will face."

"Yes." Alfred explained, "Henry is beyond evil. He has no morals, no compassion, no emotions, and no sense of right or wrong. If he captures you all, I doubt he would hesitate to kill you."

"Also, the shades themselves are equally as dangerous." Thomas added, "They are mindless beings of pure darkness that will not hesitate to turn you into a shade."

"Do you understand the dangers and risks here?" Edward asked, "This will be your most dangerous mission yet."

"We understand." Chase said bravely, "But we have to do it for the sake of our home and the world."

"Yeah, we can't let Henry turn the world into bleak, miserable wasteland." Marshall added.

"You all are very brave and selfless." Swift said, "That's a good thing."

"Alright then." Edward said before turning to his companions, "Pups, do our descendants and their allies have our blessing?"

"They do Edward." Spark replied.

"Mine too." Aria added.

"Mine as well." Bruce added.

"Andrew, we'll need to borrow the elements for a moment." Thomas said.

"Of course." Andrew said. He gently took each element off of the scepter and gave them to the Seven Sorcerers.

The sorcerers began chanting their spell. The elements began to glow brightly. A slight wind picked up in the Beach Tower as the elements glowed brighter. Then, the glow died down and the wind stopped.

"We have given you our blessing." Edward said, "This will last for a few hours so you don't have much time."

"Remember the dangers that lie ahead." Alfred said.

"We will." the Princess replied.

"Alright then. Be brave and don't give up." Edward said, "We'll be watching over you."

"Good luck." Thomas said as he and the other sorcerers faded away.

With the blessing of their ancestors, everyone began to prepare for their mission. Andrew gently put the elements back into the scepter and healed the rest of Ryder's injuries.

"The teleportation spell will transport us to just outside the barrier. After that, we go on foot to the cave." Charles said.

"Andrew, please be careful." Alexandra said holding Andrew's hand, "And please come back."

"I will Allie." Andrew replied as he and Alexandra shared a goodbye kiss. Zuma and Summer did the same.

"Everyone ready?" Andrew asked.

"Ready as we'll ever be." Rocky replied.

"Good luck PAW Patrol." Mayor Goodway said.

"Thanks Mayor." Sid replied.

Andrew changed the teleportation spell and with a flash of light, the group was gone. Off save the world once more.

To be continued...

Author's note: I'm so sorry this is months late, but I've had a traumatic year. On top of the pandemic, doing school virtually, I lost both of my grandmothers in the span of 4 months. Along with my already existing depression and anxiety, I haven't been very motivated to write. Thank you all for your patience and I promise I'll finish this story soon. Peace out!!
