Hello people, and welcome back to Highschool of the Dead: Resurrection. It's finally arrived: the one-year anniversary of my first time writing stories, and I have the perfect way to celebrate, and not just with the start of a new arc. Speaking of which, a new city, a new dollar...see what I did there? Anyway, any ideas for what to do in this new areas are welcome from the fanbase, so don't be afraid to let me know; I encourage people to review for a reason, not just because I feel more appreciated, but also because I care about what the audience thinks. Until then, let's see what the group is up to...

Masato kicked in the metal door to a store, and as it turned out, the store was filled with zombies. Once again, Masato's cold-blooded antipathy for them was put on full-display as he rampaged through the store from aisle to aisle. He put a bullet through the heads of the dozen zombies in one aisle, with his SCAR not using a suppressor. The zombies in other aisles came after him despite how swiftly and violently he tore through their numbers, which wasn't a surprise, but in Masato's case...quite helpful.

In another aisle, he stopped a zombie from lunging at him, slammed it's head into the side of the cabinet that used to be full of food, then pulled a knife and jammed it through the underside of another one's skull, then jammed it through another one's forehead, then dropped the body and shot down the last few in the aisle. He then shot down the zombies coming down the aisle from the direction he was going, and didn't stop moving for anything; he even kicked one down into another two, and shot them all dead before striking another in the face as it tried to lunge at him from behind, and then jammed a spare knife into the top of it's head as it tried to get up.

He then put his SCAR away, then spotted a steel chain a few feet from him, and wrapped it up enough times to make it long enough to keep him at a safe distance. He then swung away at a group of zombies...and each swing meant another of his targets getting it's skull caved in. He then unwrapped the chain and used it to snap a zombie's neck after breaking it's jaw. He then dropped the chain and took a moment to breath before looking around, and spotting a chainsaw. As luck would have it, the thing still worked, and a bulkier zombie came his way...and Masato side-stepped it's lunge, and revved up the chainsaw before kicking the larger zombie's spine in half, and then taking the chainsaw to the zombie's neck until it was completely beheaded.

As Masato finally took a moment of true respite after looking around to see if the place was clear, the rest of the group came in, and looked at the carnage.

"Good God, could this have been any less subtle?" Itachi asked.

"Noise draws them to me...which means they sign their own death warrants." Masato said.

"Or your own if it wasn't for us..." Itachi groaned as the group looked around.

"Let's just loot this place, and go." Rei said.

"I can't believe people just left some of this stuff behind, like that chainsaw, or that chain." Kohta said.

"That's actually kind of funny if you think about it. A chain and a chainsaw in one place." Saeko said.

"Yeah, it's a real riot." Itachi said, and the group continued going through what the place had to offer. Aside from some miscellaneous items, like tools or tissues, Takashi actually found a metal baseball bat.

"Now who would leave that behind?" Rei asked.

"Don't know, don't care..." Takashi trailed off as he looked it over.

"Something wrong?" Rei asked.

"I remember when this all started...and I used a wooden one. Now I get to use something better." Takashi said.

"What about that chain?" Kohta asked.

"We could take that as well." Takashi said.

"I'm more amazed with how that chainsaw still functions. That nuclear mission should have fried everything electronic in this city as well...unless this city is somehow out of range." Saya said.

"Quite possibly. I've seen that nuclear blast with my own eyes; it did not explode very far in the atmosphere, which means it's range was at most a hundred miles, give or take a dozen miles." Masato said.

"How exactly do you know about the range of an EMP?" Saya asked.

"Let's just say that I had more different angles covered in my squad than most others..." Masato trailed off.

"Man, you military people have all kinds of crazy information up your sleeves didn't you?" Takashi asked.

"You don't know the half of it...and I'm starting to wonder if even I don't know the half of it." Masato said.

"Sir? You never told us about your squad?" Rei asked.

"Nor do I intend to; you know everything about me that you have to." Masato said.

"Fair enough..." Rei said.

"Speaking of things we weren't told Itachi, you never told us how you got your bow." Saeko said.

"From my school's archery club. Where else?" Itachi said.

"You could have found it for all we know." Takashi said.

"True...but I didn't." Itachi said...before moving some items out of a pile, pausing, then picking up a new quiver of wooden arrows, and chuckling.

Next thing they knew, they were in the humvee again driving down the road away from the store.

"Do you think we should check to see if the city's power will come back on?" Rei asked.

"The power plant is on the other side of the city, and we have no idea what's between here and there, or how much there is. In any case, getting ourselves some housing should be our priority." Masato said.

"Just don't go burning anymore buildings down o.k.?" Itachi asked, and Saya groaned.

"I have no intention of doing so." Masato said.

"And do not say that he had no intention the first time." Saya snapped.

"I wasn't going to; that ship has sailed." Itachi said.

"Just stop it, all of you! We have somewhere to be...and we have company." Shizuka said, and the group looked out the windshield, and saw a small horde of zombies.

"Oh great..." Takashi groaned, and then Masato crawled to the center of the humvee, climbed through the hole in the roof, cocked the M2 Browning, and opened fire on the crowd, tearing down dozens of them within seconds. Fortunately, the group had specialized ear plugs from the base they left that drown out sounds that were too loud, yet let quieter sounds, especially that of a person talking. Shizuka even slowed down so Masato could get have a better time mowing down the undead that he so despised.

Kohta then handed Masato a box of ammo when he stopped firing, then Masato got to work unloading the spent box, handed it to Kohta, and loaded in the new box before continuing to splatter the zombies all over the streets. He stayed on the heavy turret even after the zombies were cleared, and kept an eye out for more of them. Eventually, they reached a canal which led to a relatively peaceful cruise between the water on one side, and the rundown buildings on the other. Despite the peace of the drive, Masato wasn't relaxed; he was ever-vigilant on his search for zombies to exterminate.

His search wasn't unfounded either; not an hour after the peaceful cruise began, more zombies appeared. Most cases were as simple as a quick burst of gunfire and the zombies were in pieces, but another large horde appeared, and he spent the rest of the 50 cal. bullets the humvee had on reducing the front line of the horde to an unrecognizable pile of ruined flesh.

"I'm out of bullets!" Masato said.

"That's all we have." Kohta said.

"Then we should get out of here." Masato said.

"More up ahead!" Shizuka exclaimed, and the group looked at the windshield again and saw a small group of zombies at the mouth of a lane of houses.

"Leave this to me." Itachi said with a smirk.

"You know that gun is out of ammo." Masato said.

"Who said anything about the gun?" Itachi asked before grabbing his bow and peeking through the hole in the roof and notching an arrow.

"Come on, not even you can hit a zombie in a moving humvee." Saya said...before Itachi huffed in amusement, then loosed one arrow after another into the group...and hit each one in either the head, neck, or knee.

"You were saying...?" He asked smugly as he got back into the humvee.

"How did you...?" Rei trailed off as the group looked over the dead zombies, then Itachi looked them over and laughed.

"You may have already figured it out, but I've been holding back. I actually had moments where I bullseyed over a dozen targets while riding a horse t full gallop. Hitting zombies in a car is child's play." He said.

"That's insane!" Saya exclaimed.

"Well...I can't give myself too much credit; I did miss a few of the places I was aiming at, but even when I miss...I don't miss." Itachi said.

"What does that mean?" Alice asked.

"It means that I always aimed for their heads, but I wound up hitting the next best thing. Besides...none of my arrows hit nothing." Itachi said.

"Well, at least we're in he clear now." Saeko said.

"Yeah, but we had still better be careful. We left alot of pissed off zombies back there." Takashi said seriously.

When they got out of the humvee, Itachi went back to retrieve his arrows, and watched the horde that was slowly lumbering their way. There were only a few dozen at this point, but it could still spell trouble for them, despite their firepower...so he decided to do something about it as he rushed off in another direction.

Meanwhile, a lone zombie was roaming around a house...until Masato grabbed it from behind and broke it's neck. The rest of the group looked over the houses one by one, none were very large, and there were no signs of occupation, but who knows what was going on inside them. Amazingly, the one Masato killed was the only zombie in the area.

"Any houses strike you fancy?" Saeko asked.

"None of them are very defensible..." Masato trailed off.

"Wait, where's Itachi?" Shizuka asked.

"He went back to get his arrows...and probably pull a one-man-army stunt." Saya said.

"No...he may have a gigantic ego, but he's not foolish. He must have gone back to find a way to distract them." Saeko said.

"How?" Takashi asked, before a loud popping sound was heard in the distance.

"What was that?" Kohta asked.

"Probably Itachi's distraction." Masato said.

"Which was?" Saya asked.

"We can ask him when he gets back." Masato said.

"If he even feels like talking." Rei said, then Masato pointed to a large apartment building in the distance...that had stone walls around it.

"There! I want that place set up and secured ASAP." He said.

"Hard to say no to a place like that." Saya said seriously but the group rushed after Masato to the humvee.

When they got to the building, and parked in the garage, the group each set up their stuff in a room, with Saya and Kohta neighboring, Saeko neighboring with what was most likely Itachi's room, and Rei and Takashi sharing a single room. Shizuka also neighbored with Alice, who shared a room that was specifically designed for a child, with Zeke keeping her company. Masato kept to the couch in the center room with the rest of the group's firearms.

Now, Rei was laying on her and Takashi's bed, with Takashi himself sitting on the opposite end watching her lay there in contentment.

"Now this is a bed..." Rei breathed out.

"Right. Beats the hell out of those bunks the military sleep on." Takashi said.

"I don't know how they do I; I'm losing aches I didn't even know I had thanks to this bed." Rei said.

"Really?" Takashi asked.

"Yeah. Come join me." Rei said before Takashi laid down next to her, and she snuggled into him while sighing.

"You're right...this is better." Takashi said.

"Before you laid down next to me...it wasn't half as good." Rei breathed out before looking eyes with Takashi, and then locking lips with him. She then broke the kiss, and the two looked at each other through half-closed eyes, and then stared at each other's parted lips before having another series of kisses that got deeper and more passionate each time. Rei then got on top of Takashi and felt his heart race along with his own as they took advantage of their alone time, the atmosphere, and their unspoken desire.

Rei then moaned into their kiss as Takashi's hands slid up Rei's skirt and squeezed her buttocks while her own hands reached into Takashi's shirt and felt his rippling abdomen. She then unbuttoned her own shirt, and gave Takashi an unobstructed view of her breasts, which were barely contained by her bra. But when Rei reached into Takashi's shirt to pull it up...he stopped handling her butt, and gripped her hands.

"Wait...we can't do this." Takashi breathed out.

"What...?" Rei asked.

"We're going too fast Rei, besides, we don't have any condoms." Takashi said.

"That's true..." Rei groaned, before sighing.

"Sorry..." Takashi said.

"And I was in the moment too...!" Rei said.

"So was I." Takashi said before looking outside.

"It's going to be dusk soon." Rei said.

"Yeah. I never thought I'd say this, but I hope Itachi's alright." Takashi said.

"What?" Rei asked.

"He might be an asshole...but he's our asshole. Which is alot less sentimental now that I say that out loud." Takashi said and Rei giggled.

"But it's still kind of funny...in it's own way." She said.

"Right...well, we may not be able to...you know, do it, but we can still lay down together." Takashi said.

"That actually sounds more appealing now that I think about it more clearly." Rei said before laying down on top of Takashi. "For what it's worth...you were quite passionate, just like how a boy should be."

"I hope I'm passionate enough when we finally do get to do it properly...that is, if you want to do it properly." Takashi said.

"Of course I do; we promised we'd be together didn't we?" Rei asked.

"Yes...yes we did." Takashi said before holding Rei closer.

Masato meanwhile was wearing just his pants and boots while looking outside at the horde outside; apparently Itachi's distraction was pointless based on how many zombies were still out there...which was and was not have been a bad thing. He then went to the weapons and got to work on them, he attached scopes to some, silencers to others, and left the assortment of bayonets alone for use on their own. Some guns, like his SCAR, had their own grenade launcher like before, and while they had a bounty of grenades, both the ones that were launched or thrown, they had to be used sparingly.

Saya then come out of her room, and watched Masato work on their guns.

"There's a horde outside." He said simply.

"I noticed...nice going Itachi." Saya said.

"This world is full of zombies; this is probably a new horde, especially since this horde is larger than the other one." Masato said.

"Right..." Saya whispered, before Saeko came out of her room.

"Corporal Toriyama?" She asked.

"Yes?" Masato asked as he looked over a scope.

"I...wasn't going to ask you anything; I'm just surprised to see you working on our weapons." Saeko said.

"I should have done this before, but I believe those of you who use these will be pleased to see that I've taken the liberty of putting these upgrades to use." Masato said.

"No doubt." Saeko said.

"Speaking of upgrades, did you notice that we haven't searched the rest of the house?" Saya asked.

"No." Masato said.

"Well, we didn't, and we could find something useful if we're lucky." Saya said.

"O.k." Masato said, and Saya sighed.

"So...it would be nice if you looked around with us-" Masato cuts Saya off.

"Ask someone else. Only the undead themselves concern me." He said sharply.

"It wouldn't kill you to do something aside from hunting zombies you know!" Saya snapped.

"No...but if I do not take every chance I get to either kill them, or prepare myself or others to kill them, then there could very well be another senseless loss of life. I cannot ignore that risk under any circumstances." Masato said seriously.

"I can go with you Takagi." Saeko said.

"That's not the point! I just...yes, the zombies are a big deal, but you can find something useful in your crusade, or observe something critical that jogs something in your mind to-" Masato cuts Saya off and looks right at her.

"I am well aware of how the mind works, and if you find something useful, then by all means bring it before me so I may figure out how it may help us, now commence your mission and quit wasting my time." He said.

"Fine...let's go Busujima..." Saya said before Saeko led her out the door, and Masato got back to work. He eventually got on an M4, and attached a scope, suppressor, and tested to see if the grenade launcher, or bayonet worked better...and went with the grenade launcher for safety reasons; the grenades were for emergencies only anyway, and the bayonet could cause unwanted damage if not used properly. He then walked over to the window, opened it, then opened fire into the crowd, killing six zombies with six shots, with the suppressor doing it's job.

Shizuka then came out as Masato reloaded and looked him over again.

"What's going on...?" She asked.

"Come here." Masato said seriously, and Shizuka approached him slowly as he continued to look at the horde, and then he handed her the M4.

"Are you kidding me?" Shizuka asked.

"Of course not. I told you before you must learn to fight them properly. Now is your chance." Masato said.

"I just tried to get some sleep!" Shizuka exclaimed.

"It's too early for sleep anyway, now be quiet and take this M4 from me." Masato said, and Shizuka huffed.

"Fine...!" She snapped before snatching the M4 from Masato.

"Now, how much do you know?" He asked.

"Other than...uh...what was it again...?" Shizuka asked.

"Press the stock of the gun into your shoulder, but not too hard unless you want to get sore." Masato said and Shizuka tried multiple times to follow his instructions until she got it right.

"Like this?" She asked.

"Exactly, now, look throught the scope until a zombie's head is in the center, then squeeze the trigger and watch it fall." Masato said, and Shizuka looked through the scope at all the zombies and groaned.

"Which one should I shoot?" She asked.

"Any of them." Masato said, and Shizuka sighed before shooting one...and hitting it in the head.

"Got one!" She exclaimed, before shooting another...and another...and another. She then missed one shot, and hit a zombie's torso, she tried again, hit the zombie's head, then tried shooting more. Before she knew it, she started missing one head after another, and her frustration got the better of her and started firing wildly into the crowd until Masato violently snatched the M4 out of her hands.

"What are you doing!? Each of those bullets could have been used to kill a zombie rather than cripple it! Only fire-!" He stopped talking and took a moment to compose himself as Shizuka recovered from the recoil of being yelled at. "Only fire...when you know you can hit your target..."

"I'm sorry..." Shizuka said.

"Don't apologize...improve." Masato said, and Shizuka nodded before Masato gave the M4 back, grabbed the Remington shotgun, and walked to the door.

"Where are you going?" Shizuka asked.

"You...are going to clear a house." Masato said.

"What?" Shizuka asked.

"How many times have you actually fought them?" Masato asked.

"I...didn't really, but there was one time where a man grabbed me..." Shizuka trailed off.

"If that had been a zombie, you would have been a meal. Now...come with me." Masato said before walking out, and Shizuka followed him.

Masato led Shizuka out through the back entrance, and luckily encountered no zombies, but Shizuka kept an eye on the sides while Masato marched forward. He then knocked on the door to another house's back door, and put his ear to the door. He then tried opening the door, and it opened somewhat...then Masato shoved it open and pointed his shotgun inside the house, making Shizuka recoil and brandish her own gun. Masato then slowly walked inside and looked around, before motioning Shizuka to follow him.

"Um...I thought I was the one doing this?" She asked.

"From this point forward...you are. I will check upstairs, you handle what's down here." Masato said before heading upstairs, and Shizuka went to the adjacent room. She went down the hall slowly but steadily, and kept her M4 at the ready in case any thing jumped out...but nothing did, even as she went from one room to another. Each room was relatively small, but that wasn't saying much; each room was big enough to fit into the center of a house, and there were a bounty of them. She was actually so confused she wound up going in circles as she went from one room to another, all of which she's been to multiple times before.

Eventually, she broke out of the loop, and found a room she hadn't been to yet...and it had a group of zombies in it. She then screamed in surprise before pointing her M4 at them...then remembered Masato snatching her gun out of her hand, and caught her nerve. She then shoot down all the zombies with each bullet piercing their heads. She then took a moment to calm down, and heard more zombie groaning behind her; others from another part of the house heard her scream, and even some zombies outside heard her scream and began hitting the door.

Shizuka then steeled herself and shot down the zombies that came out from behind her, and once against each bullet hit their heads. She then opened the door to peak through it and see how many zombies there were...big mistake. There were no less than three dozen zombies and Shizuka wildly fired into the crowd before fleeing upstairs. Once she turned around to retreat however...a zombie grabbed her shirt, with another grabbing the hem of her skirt. She struggled to get free so violently that her clothes tore open to the point where less was left to the imagination than normal.

She then rushed upstairs and hid in the corner of a hallway hoping Masato would show up...but he didn't. She then saw a zombie come out through a doorway, and screamed again. Next thing she knew, a shotgun barrel nudged the zombie's head, and a shell blew the contents of it' head all over the opposite wall. Shizuka then looked up to see Masato, still as furious as ever, and despite her being almost completely naked...Masato didn't even pretend to be interested; he was only focused on the battle, as showed when he cocked his shotgun.

Once the zombies came up the stairs and lumbered towards him, he pointed his shotgun as them and blew their heads off one by one, reloading and cocking when needed. Eventually, some got close enough, and he put his shotgun in the mouth of one to keep it from biting him, then he shoved it to the side, stomped it's face in, then punched another before grabbing it's head and smashing it into a wall two times before shoving it into another one. He then he shoved to the floor earlier, and stomped it's face in against the wall, then used one hand to point his shotgun at the last one then shot it dead too.

He then dropped the shotgun and pulled his M1911 as more zombies came up the stairs, then started unloading bullets into their heads one by one. He then ran out of bullets and noticed one of them was wearing armor and a helmet, but civilian clothes; they must have taken the armor off a dead soldier. He then pulled his Desert Eagle, loaded one of it's massive bullets into the zombie's head...and the helmet did nothing to stop it.

He then flipped the pistol around and caved in the heads of multiple zombies as if they were made of paper. Shizuka just sat there against the wall watching her would-be savior slaughter the undead with his face twisted with the bottomless hatred he had for his foes; it was even a wonder if he was there for her or not. Regardless, his actions spoke for themselves; the zombies were fighting yet another uphill battle, with Masato kicking the zombies into each other, and lobotomizing the ones he can before back up to catch his breath.

The zombies didn't stop coming however, and Masato tensed up and started growing before hearing the M4 Shizuka used sliding along the ground and stopping at his feet. He didn't bother looking at Shizuka; even if she was fully-clothed, it was very obvious she did it on purpose. Masato then shot down the rest of the zombies with the gun he gave her in the first place before finally leaning against the wall with exhaustion gripping him.

"Is that all of them...?" Shizuka asked.

"I think so..." Masato groaned.

"Well...now what I am supposed to do? My clothes are ruined!" Shizuka exclaimed...with her whole body shaking as she threw her minor tantrum.

"There's bound to be clothes around here somewhere, like the one I first came from..." Masato said, and Shizuka beamed before skipping off to find some, and it turned out Masato was right. Shizuka found a lavender blouse, and a white skirt to boot.

The two made it back to the apartment they claimed, and Masato stayed up to watch the horde outside, and recalled the individual moments he spent killing the zombies at the neighboring building. It wasn't enough; his hatred was as ravenous as ever, but it would have to wait until the morning...then more blood will be shed. He then heard slow footsteps behind him...and it was none other than Shizuka in her underwear, shameless as ever.

"Hello there..." She breathed out.

"Why are you out of bed? You need to recover." Masato said, and Shizuka giggled before holding his arm...and pressing her gigantic breasts into his bare torso.

"I just thought you'd like some company. It must be lonely being out here by yourself..." She said softly.

"I can handle this, you cannot." Masato said.

"Sure I can...what with a big, tough soldier here to train me." Shizuka said sensually.

"Now is not the time." Masato said.

"You're right...now's the time for us to get to know each other..." Shizuka said while snuggling into him.

"No! Go back to bed, and get the rest you clearly need." Masato said, and Shizuka gasped, then groaned before skulking away...into a room that belonged to no one. Masato didn't see however, and continued watching the horde outside...he also didn't see that Rei watched the whole thing.

"Sir! What was that about?" She asked, and Masato turned to her.

"What do you mean?" Masato asked.

"That! With Miss Shizuka! She told us everything earlier, and she clearly likes you now. How can you be so cold to her?" Rei asked.

"My mission is to destroy the undead, and help others do the same. Everything else is an obstacle." Masato said seriously.

"Obstacle!? Did you even look at her? Are you aware how much attention a woman with her...assets can attract from men? FYI, quite a bit, and now here you are saving her from becoming a meal! Don't you think you should at least try to return her affection? There's more to life than your grudge." Rei said.

"There is nothing more!" Masato snapped, and Rei sighed. "Have you forgotten what these...creatures did to me? To us? To the world!? Because I think of nothing else, and haven't since...since this all started. Every single one of those monsters is an insult to the people they used to be, and deserved nothing less than eradication, which I will deliver. Now are you with me?"

"I'm with you...sir." Rei groaned.

"Good, now get your own share of rest." Masato said before turning back to the horde, and Rei took a few steps away from him.

"You should still give Miss Shizuka a chance; she might mean nothing to you...but you clearly mean something to her. Heaven knows why that is..." Rei said before entering her and Takashi's room...little did she know that Masato's eyes rolled in thought, before he sighed and looked for Shizuka. It turned out, she was fast asleep already in an unspoken for bed, she was likely to be confused in the morning, which could cause issues in the long term. Masato then went to the bed, still ignoring how little clothing she was wearing, then picked her up...and she clung unto him and nuzzled his chest with the brightest smile on her face and the sweetest sigh leaving her throat.

Masato then sighed through it and carried Shizuka to her own room, opened the covers for her, and placed her in them...before finally allowing himself a moment of weakness. His eyes feasted on her divine figure, her inhumanly's large breasts and thighs, her creamy skin, her golden, silky hair, her perfectly round buttocks which looked as soft as her breasts...her parted lips which were the right size for kissing, and the innocent child-like expression on her face. She was Masato's opposite in every way; he was raging against the dead...she was content with just being alive. For a moment, the spark of lust he had for her flesh, turned into envy for her blissful ignorance, but then he reminded himself these were all obstacles, and he had preparations to make for dealing with the undead.

Talk about touchy situations. Anyway, that's it for this...insane roller coaster of a chapter, but I'm not done yet, call right now, and I'll give you two more chapters for just $9.99. I'm joking of course; I don't make a dime off this. O.k. enough random b.s., just be sure you Rate, Review, and Share while the rest of this arc comes your way. Stay tuned.
