As they walk through the village they come up to an older part of it, a cave from the looks of, well lit and extremely well taken care of. The elders enter, then Jeremie and Ulrich, and finally Kiwi.
It was full of paintings and carvings across the face of the stone. "This is the history of this village, from its start to present day."
Jeremie couldn't read what was written, but he could tell what was happening somewhat from the pictures.
They continue to walk until they come to the very back of the cave and a huge mural that has to be at least a hundred of years old, if not more!
"This is the beginning for the village's history." The elder with the glasses speaks up as they move aside.
"Hey, those look like the spectres that chased us out of your home." Ulrich points out, looking over at Jeremie.
Then teen nods slightly as he walks over to see the mural better. "The fall of the great kingdom of magic…"
The elders are shocked! This human might be a teen, but he knows of the great kingdom! "You know of this event?" One of them ask.
"My mentor talked about it a lot, looked into it, I never got a reason why, but I do know the tale of what happened."
"Well I don't. Can someone explain?" Ulrich speaks up, very confused.
"Same, I've lived here my whole life, but I wasn't allowed in here…" Kiwi adds on.
"Then I will tell you three the tale from how our ancestors witnessed, as it's like not the same one you have heard young sorcerer."So the elder starts.
"Long before even our own elders were born, there was a great and wondrous kingdom full of magic and life. Magical creatures and humans lived alongside each other as one, working to build the world around them, to learn and discover! It was ruled by a royal family of powerful humans who's magic seemingly had no bounds! The king taught what he knew and helped to bring peace to the feuding. He was powerful and able to do things that no other could with his magic! The queen helped those who were lost, sick, or injured, her kindness knew no limits! Nor her beauty. Her magic was just as powerful as the kings.
As time went on, they had a child! A child who was blessed with their powerful magic and who brought joy just by being around. The kingdom rejoiced when the child was born, a princess of wonderful light, able to brighten those who were having the darkest of times, full of joy.
However as the years went by, a darkness started to grow as the new found light grew… A chaotic and maleficent force who started to eat away at the hearts and darken them. An evil as old as time itself has surfaced, one only known as the darkness, sought to take this light and use its power for its own.
So it attacked, in the form of a dragon full of blight and evil, and despite the king and queens best efforts, their daughter was taken and the kingdom and all the lands were plunged into terrible chaos!
Wars between magical beings and between humans alike started, and our ancestors were among the fight. It wasn't until the queen used her power to calm them and show them a place that they could live without the darkness' influence that everyone came to their senses. So they fled, away from their home to this new land.
But the darkness didn't want them to go and followed, corrupting those it could get a hold of, those too noble or pure were turned to stone and destroyed. The king and queen saw this and used the last of their magic to force the dragon to the castle, holding it there while those that could flee, did. However, it was the queen who made the ultimate sacrifice, giving her life to cut off the kingdom from the new world! The king was caught in the spell, trying to save his wife and daughter and perished…
That is how we came to be here, to this spot. That is the tale of the great kingdom of magic's downfall.
The evil is forcing its way through the barrier after all these hundreds of years… and is trying to gain power once more… The spectres are the souls who couldn't be saved, minions of the darkness. They corrupt anything they come into contact with and their effects spread the more power the darkness gains…"
