chapter 9:

Freya sighs, her forehead wrinkles with the pounding headache she is having. Honestly, she is tired of being in the peacemaker. Freya throw the sage into the bowl and grind it with the pestle with vengeance. "Hnnh..", sighing, she pours the lambs blood into the bowl and mix them. She add several more ingredients and herbs, a spark. Good. To the next step then. She reaches for the next ingredients.

A week has passed and still, she feels this heavy weight on her shoulder that just keep dragging her down, and perhaps maybe it is the guilt. God grief. She slapped the back of her own head. Stupid. Why did she agreed to help Klaus in the place. She must have lost her mind.

Her brothers. Her stupid, incorrigible little brothers is at odds. This whole fucked up situation. She is angry, angry at everything. Angry at this fucked up situation. Angry at herself.

She glares at the ingredients in the bowl, it burst into flames simply because of her anger. Freya closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. She needs to calm herself down before she sets the whole French quarter into an inferno flames or something. Her gripped the pestle tighten, hand raised ready to throw it to the wall to vent her anger.

Her mood is fouled, because of those two. She is tired being torn between siding with Klaus or Elijah. God, she really doesn't want to play favorite. Not with how insecure Klaus is--with his half sibling status. Like really, Klaus. The world doesn't revolve around you.Fuck you, Klaus. She curses him in her head. Hoping to get it out of her system.

Shaking her head, Freya tries to clears her mind by taking a deep breathe, it doesnt help a bit. Figures. She forces her hand down and begin to grind the ingredient again in pretense calm. She need to get this finished after all.

Freya managed for about 20 minutes before her mind wanders again. Groaning, she let go of the pestle and pace around her work table. This won't do, at all.

Why is she here anyway? Feeling miserably sorry for herself when she could be with Keelin.

She misses her girlfriend so much and this whole situation sucks. She was supposed to visit her before all this happen and now, she guessed..now she had to cancel her plan.

She missed Keelin terribly but there is no way in hell she would leave Elijah with Klaus alone. God knows what he'll do to him. Freya sighs again, is laden despair. To think that all those centuries being with Aunt Dahlia every moments that she wished for is to be with her family again. This is what she gets. She doesn't understand what their problem is, especially Klaus.

These past days, Freya have been working hard in trying to make both Klaus and Elijah have civilised conversation. She tries to be the peacemaker. She even tries to negotiate Elijah's freedom from Klaus. yeah, she changed her mind. She realized that Klaus is not only crazy but he is also a master of manipulation and Freya had fall victim to it. Elijah is the collateral damage. She tries to right her wrongs. She is working hard on making the two of them reconcile. She even go through trouble of arranging a meeting between the two of them so they can talk out their problem.

Still when it comes to it. Once their eyes met, Klaus had seethe in anger and Elijah's had seeth silently in his indifference way and he ignores Klaus the entire time when Freya had go through so much, so, so much into setting their meetings.

Uncomfortable silence had passed without any word exchange and, Freya was there witnessing it while she is also seething in anger because of their combine stuborness, they are driving her crazy with their childish ethic . God. What did she ever do to deserve this?

Then, all of a sudden Klaus raised his chin defiantly and his eyes flares angrily, they even flashes, the way a werewolves does when they are about to lose control of themselves. Freya moves forward trying to stop him because she is pretty sure, Klaus was about to lash out but to her surprise he didn't. He just clenched his jaw clearly angry and stormed out of the room.

Freya was left confused while Elijah is most definitely fuming angrily. Elijah had glared Klaus retreating back with a displeased look and said, "Leave him be." That Freya is just wasting her time if she goes after Klaus. Freya was left perplexed but she doesn't think that she should let Klaus storms off like that by himself because he had such a terrible case of temper and he is likely going to go on a murdering spree.

Freya had chased after Niklaus confused but concerned at the same time, grabing on to his wrist tightly until he stopped in his track. He did stopped only to glared down at her hand that is wrapping around his wrist, displeasedly. He snatched his wrist free and starts walking away from her.

Frowning. Freya asked angrily at Klaus retreating back, "I thought you agreed to talk to him." She hisses face red with supressed angers, fists clenched tight at her side.

Klaus stops in his track and stares at her before he starts stalking toward her. Freya raised her chin and stares him down. He thinks he can intimidates her. Well, she is not Rebekah.

Freya doesn't care a bit that Klaus is absolutely furious closing on her like a predator to a prey. It almost made him laugh with pride if he weren't this mad at her, at everything.

"What is there to talk about?" Klaus shouts angrily in her face eventhough she doesn't deserve it. Elijah is the one to be blamed for this.

No one else have the power to drive him this crazy. He feels like a rabid wolf, frothing at the mouth ready to chew and takes his anger on anyone who crosses his path and Freya is the unfortunate soul that were available.
