Andy and Robert had spent the weekend together in each other's presence. They talked, watched movies, and went on walks in the park.

They had planned to spend their off days together as much as they could and they promised each other that they wouldn't move too fast just yet.

It had came to be the day when Andy had to go back to work and that meant that Robert would be stoping by the station to met her dad. She was nervous for his reaction but she just hoped that everything would be ok at least.

She had woken up and got ready like she usually did and got her backpack ready for her shift. Robert had left her house yesterday afternoon to go to his work.

She drove to the station and immediately placed her bag into her locker and went up to the beanery.

"Good morning" she said to everyone. "Morning Andy" they all responded. Andy gave Maya a look that they both knew she had something to say so they left and followed her.

"Ok so now why are we hiding behind the trucks?" Vic asked. "I have something serious to say" Andy responded which caused them both to look at her with wide eyes.

"Is this about your hot lover boyfriend?" Maya asked in a whisper. "Yes he's um coming today a little later to meet my dad and I'm terrified" she responded rubbing the side of her arm.

Maya and Vic then both shared a look of worry and they both didn't know exactly what to say in regards to the statement they just heard.

"I mean how bad can it really be?" Vic asked. "Very bad he could turn him down. He could tell him he can't be my boyfriend I mean everything is bad" she responded in a panic tone. "First off he's your boyfriend so his opinion shouldn't matter and once he finds out how good he is to you then I'm sure he would be fine" Maya stated rubbing Andys shoulders.

"Breakfast is ready" Dean shouted down the catwalk.

Andy, Vic and Maya all shared a quick smile and a hug before going up to the beanery. Like always everyone began asking questions about where they went and what they were talking about but they just brushed it off.

"Morning everyone schedules are posted, let's make this shift a great one" Pruitt stated grabbing his mug and filling it up with coffee.

"Thanks for the breakfast guys" Andy said, grabbing a plate and sitting around the table. They sat eating and talking like normal and when they finished they went off to do their assigned chores.

"I hope I'm not too early" Robert said coming up behind Andy at the front desk. "Um no you're not I'm glad you're here now because the day might get pretty busy" she responded, giving him a quick kiss.

"Oh would you look at it here it's Andys boyfriend" Maya stated coming down the stairs which caused the couple to turn immediately in shock.

"Oh um Maya this is Robert Sullivan and Robert this is Maya" Andy stated removing herself from the closeness of Robert. They introduced themselves and shook each other's hand and Maya gave Andy a quick wink before going out to the trucks.

"Are you ready?" he asked. "I mean you're already here so it's time to just rip the bandaid off" she replied hugging him.

Andy then walked over to her dad's office and knocked on the door. She went inside after she received the ok and she stood there for a second watching him eat his muffin and drinking his coffee while sorting through files.

"Andrea is there something wrong?" he asked, looking up at her. "Um so I've been in a relationship for the past couple of months and I think it's time you met him" she said shakily but keeping her eyes on him.

Pruitt let of a sigh before going back to his work not responding to the statement in which Andy just made.

"Dad please I'm a grown adult I can do whatever I want but as your child and your only daughter I'm doing this so you can maybe one day give him your blessing" she said pleading that he will at least talk to her. She watched as he looked back up to her sipping his coffee. "Bring him in" he simply stated in which Andy gladly did.

"Good morning I'm the man that is dating your daughter" Robert stated holding onto Andys hand.

Pruitt looked him up and down and thought about the words he could say without it coming off as hard and rude as it sounded inside his head.

"First off I appreciate you two for telling me even though it's been a while since you two have been together and second I know who you are. I've been working with SFD for a long while. Sullivan you're a firefighter and you should know the rules" he said looking directly into Roberts eyes waiting for his response.

"With due respect sir I am a firefighter yes but I've done everything with HR already and they already cleared us for our relationship" he stated affirmably moving his hand to run over Andys back.

"Dad please" Andy begged after the moment of silence the room had subsided with. She hated the rising tension already and all she wanted to do was run out and go on a call.

"I'm not sure of my thoughts at the moment but for now I approve. Robert all I ask is you treat my daughter with the love and respect she deserves because she's my only child and I want nothing but the best for her" Pruitt said looking over at the both of them with his hands clasped together on his desk.

"You have my word sir. I'll treat her like the wonderful woman she is" Robert responded bowing his head towards him.

"Andy go do your job now and I guess I'll see you around Robert. You two are dismissed" he stated going back to drinking his coffee and doing his work.

Andy and Robert quickly left the room and he pulled her off to the side to speak with her quickly.

"Babe I have to work and I don't want the whole team to see you just yet" she whispered leaning into his chest. "I know but I'm just happy that now he knows and he at least accepts us" he said giving her a kiss. Andy looked into his eyes deeply in which Robert took that as a chance to go all in. They made out slowly in the end of hallway like nobody was present.

"Stop please I have to work love and I don't want to do anything here in the station" Andy said laughing at her choice of words. "I'll come by you when shift is over sometime tomorrow. Call or text me whenever you get the chance" he said giving her one last kiss and walking away.

Andy readjusted her ponytail and her shirt before she went back to the front desk in which she saw both Maya and Vic sitting with the biggest smiles on their faces.

"That was your secret lover man?" Vic asked in total shock. "Yes and please don't tell anyone" Andy quickly responded. "Secret is safe with me" she responded.

Andy watched as Maya kept that same smirk on her face signaling that something was either bothering her or she had something important to say.

"Maya just say it" Andy said quickly. "You two just had a steamy make out session just down the hall from your dads office now that's a badass move" she said whispering and then laughing. "It was just a splurge of the moment, nothing crazy" Andy responded trying not to smile.

"How did it go I mean I would assume that was the reason he was here right besides openly visiting you" Vic asked in curiosity. "It went a bit rocky at first because you know I was paranoid but he seemed ok with him after everything passed I'm sure it's a comfort thing" she responded sitting against the desk.

"A comfort thing you mean in knowing that if he you knows leave this station like he is not planning too but needs to that you would be alright?" Maya asked. "I guess and maybe for the other thing of which we won't get into at the moment" Andy said steering the conversation.

"I don't like how you three have been so distant and sneaky all of a sudden" Travis said standing in front of them. "Like we said before, just girl talk nothing important" Vic answered. "Dude it's never nothing important but your faces tell us that it is" Dean remarked. "Again nothing serious" Andy stated which ended the conversation as a whole.

*ALL UNITS RESPOND TO CREEKS AVENUE! CAR FIRE! CIVILIANS IN DISTRESS!*

"Jack is acting Captain you better make me proud I'll be listening in on the radio" Pruitt shouted across the hall watching them all gear up and getting into the trucks.

They got on scene and they all quickly got into their positions and they were able to sustain the fire and treat the wounded victims. After the two hour call they pulled back into the station and everyone went up to the beanery.

"Jack you did great" Andy stated taking a sip of the chilled water bottle. "Thanks I mean the call was pretty straightforward so it's nothing I didn't know" he responded. They all sat in the beanery having different conversations and eating snacks.

"Station 19 I heard the call was a success so good job Gibson I knew you would pull through and also works not done yet so get up and get moving" he stated before grabbing himself a banana and going back down to his office.

"Oh how I hate grumpy Pruitt" Dean mumbled before going out. Everyone sighed in agreement and went out.

"Wait Andy I forgot to ask how was date night aka the reunion?" Vic asked quietly. "It was definitely shocking but a good surprise and it was very heartwarming" she responded still sweeping.

"Also the makeup sex was good she just won't admit it because she says it's personal matters" Maya added which cause Vic to laugh but Andy to look at her in disgust.

"It's just that my life is already open to this whole station and I just don't want that factor of my life or should I say love life to be going around but if you insist it was mind-blowing and I can't resist it for that long ever again" Andy stated smiling at the two girls who is now exchanging their happy looks to disgust.

"Definitely more than we needed but hey that's what we walked into" Vic stated wiping down the counters harder.

The team went out on 3 more Aid calls and 2 more fires and just like that it was night. They made dinner and they all showered and went into their designated rooms for the night.

"Hello" Andy said through the phone waiting to hear the one person who she missed dearly.

"I'm here" Robert stated in a lower voice seeing that it made Andys body run cold with shivers.

"I miss you this is just all way too hard like I love my job but knowing your here in the same city as me and I can't be with you is just annoying" Andy said in a frustrated tone trying to keep quiet aware that the others were probably sleeping.

"I know I miss you too but look on the bright side I'll see you tomorrow and we can spend more together" he stated which caused Andy to smile weakly knowing that what he said was true.

They talked for a while until they grew tired and couldn't talk anymore. They ended their call together and Andy plugged in her phone for the night setting the alarm on before placing it on the table. She snuggled into her blankets and soon went off to sleep.
