Chapter 9

-TARDIS (While it fell to the core)-

For what felt like an eternity, the TARDIS seemed to finally land on something, but, whatever it was, it was starting to tear the TARDIS apart, if the explosions, rumbling, fires, and stuff falling all around them was a clear indication.

Jenny had to duck, or hold onto something, and shield her eyes, all the while staying close to Donna. Due to where they were situated, she took her hand, and led her closer to the console. Jenny felt like panicking, like Donna at the moment, but she was trying to keep her cool. She looked at the console, and thought about attempting to pilot it, but it was something she had no knowledge of.

Just another thing to add to the list about being a Time Lord that she wished she knew.

Jenny coughed from the smoke around her.

"Donna! Are you ok?!" She asked.

"Oh, just peachy!" Donna said then got quiet again.

Jenny looked to what she was looking at, and saw it was her dad's hand in a jar. And she wasn't sure if she was seeing things or not, but it looked like it was slightly shaking, the fluid inside was bubbling, and some of energy was flowing around it. Donna started to reach out to it, and she looked to be in a trance. Once she touched the containment jar, the light that Jenny had thought she seen, intensified, and gotten brighter. And then, tendrils of the energy seemed to move towards Donna, and go into her, and she gasped as the energy went into her.

Jenny had noticed some of the energy was starting to circle around her, and then went into her.

She gasped once images started to flash inside her head. She saw a big red planet, with beautiful landscapes, domed cities, and many other things that brought warm feelings.

A second later, the jar exploded, and the hand fell to the ground, and started pulse, and light up with energy. And to add further to the weirdness, it looked like it was starting to twitch.

"Okay, this is something." Jenny breathed in both confusion, and awe.

The hand continue to twitch, and the energy around it started to branch out, until it started to look like a humanoid shape. Once it did fully, the person… no her dad, not what he looked currently, but what he looked like before he regenerated. He rose up, and the light disappeared from him, like some type of fairy tale.

Jenny would've been in awe of what she just saw, but not for one glaring issue.

He was completely naked.

She felt a bit of bile rise up in her throat, and she looked away in disgust, and embarrassment.

"It's you." Donna said in a stunned voice.

"Oh yes!" He said with a slight manic grin.

"You're naked." She muttered, and adverted her eyes away from the sight.

"Oh, yes!"

"Please put some clothes on. Please." Jenny muttered, as she wanted to get the image out of her head.

She then opened her eyes, and saw him press a button on the console, and heard some type of scratching sound. And when that happened, the TARDIS stopped shaking, and the inside wasn't tearing apart anymore.

"What happened?" Jenny asked.

"Oh, I just moved the TARDIS out of that bit of jam! And don't worry, Jen, I'm getting some clothes." He said, and ran out of the room.

Jenny and Donna were silent for a moment, letting themselves relax, and come to terms with what had just happened.

"Are you okay?" Jenny asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Blimey." Donna breathed.

A second later, The Doctor, or other version of The Doctor came running wearing his own pair of converse, jeans, red shirt, and blue jacket. He then started to check around the area, to assess the damage.

"All repaired, lovely! Ssh! No-one knows we're here. Gotta keep quiet. Silent running, like on submarines when you can't even drop a spanner. Don't drop a spanner! I like blue, what d'you think?"

Jenny was a loss for words, she could tell this version of her father was a little loopy. Probably from whatever type of Regeneration he went through. Thinking about that, made her wonder if it was something that could happen to her if she lost a limb. Now that would be confusing, and slightly scary. She was about to respond to his question, but Donna beat her to it.

"You. Are. Bonkers!"

"Why?! What's wrong with blue?" He asked, as if what had happened earlier hadn't happened.

"It's not that… dad." Jenny said.

"Is that what Time Lords do? Lop a bit off, grow another one? You're like worms!" Donna asked the question that Jenny had on her mind.

"Please tell me that Time Lords don't do that." Jenny asked.

"No, no, no, no, I'm unique. Never been another like me. Cos all that Regeneration Energy went into the hand. Look my hand! I love that hand! Unfortunately, other me didn't give enough for a full one. But I was able to fully come to life by you touched it, WHAM!" He yelled and made both women jump.

"Ssh! Instantaneous Biological Meta-crisis. I grew…"

"You mean you grew out of Donna?" Jenny supplied, wrapping her head around this.

She shouldn't been so surprised or confused, considering anything could happen in this vast universe. Especially with their current predicament with the Daleks, and this whole… Meta-Crisis thing happening right now as well.

Maybe it was just a Time Lord thing. But she then realized something.

"Hang on, some of that energy went into me, does that mean your part me?" Jenny asked, feeling a little disturbed.

The Meta-Crisis waved her off, and said," Oh no, all I did was give you some memories. I guess I could sense your displeasure of not knowing your own races. So I gave you some snippets of what your home planet looked like. Did you like them?"

"Oh yeah, I did. The original you said Gallifrey was beautiful, and he was right. Thank goodness the energy wasn't what I thought."

"Yes. Still, could've been worse than hers." Meta said, and looked at Donna.

Donna looked offended and said, "Oi! Watch it, Spaceman!"

"Oi! Watch it, Earth girl!" The Meta-crisis said, trying to sound like her. And both of their mouths hung open.

"Oh boy… I sound like you. I sound all… all sort of… rough." He said shocked.

"Oi!"

"Oi!"

"Oi!"

"Spanners, ssh! Jenny, stop laughing."

Jenny had started to giggle a little bit, she couldn't tell if it was because of the current conversion, or today's events were starting to catch up with her.

"I'll t-try." Jenny said and tried to stop giggling.

Once she did, she then saw The Meta-crisis feel his hearts and his eyes widened.

"Oh, you are kidding me, no way. One heart. I've only got one heart!"

"Seriously?" Jenny said surprised and went to feel his heart and she gasped." Blimey."

Donna did the same and said, "What? What, like you're human?"

"Oh, that's disgusting!" The Meta-Crisis said.

"Oi!"

"Oi!"

"Stop! Focus you two. Dad… or whatever, what does this mean?" Jenny asked.

"Well… I'm part Time Lord, part human." He concluded.

"So what you are saying is when Donna touched your hand, you became you? Was that why Donna kept spacing out… why did you?" Jenny asked Donna.

Donna shrugged, and said," I don't know, I guess I heard his heartbeat or somethin'."

"I can explain that. Cos, I'm a complicated event in time and space, must have ripped back. Converging onto Donna. Sorta like when we or the original me met you back on Messaline. "The Meta-Crisis explained.

"But Why me?" Donna asked.

"Cos you're special." He said as if it was obvious.

"Oh, I keep telling you, I'm not."

"Donna, stop bringing yourself down. Everyone's special in their own way. I may not know what it is, but it's probably something huge. Continue dad." Jenny said.

"Right, because beforehand it's never been a coincidence that we found each other again at all. You see, something's been drawing us together for such a long time."

"But you're talking, like… destiny. There's no such thing, is there?"

"It's still not finished. It's like… the pattern's not complete, the strands are still drawing together."

"What's the event that will complete it then?" Jenny asked.

"I don't know, but it's going to be big." The Doctor said with a faraway look.

The TARDIS then started to shake violently again, they all look at the monitor to find out what's happening.

"It's the planets. The 27 planets." The Meta-Crisis breathed.

"What's going on? What are they doing with the planets?" Jenny asked as she saw the planets glow.

"Single-string Z-Neutrinos compressed into… No. No way."

Donna didn't know what it meant, but it sounded bad, and asked fearfully, "What does it mean?"

"I've read that the entire universe is, every atom is bound by an Electrical Field. What they're doing is… whatever that thing is, the Daleks plan to cancel everything out and all thing matter will become dust… nothing. Like it was nothing. It would be like a snap of a finger, and then everything is gone. The entirety of reality destroyed." Jenny explained with mounting horror and The Meta-Crisis pulled her into a one armed hug.

"Unfortunately Jen… your right." He said.

They didn't know it, but currently, the original Doctor had come to the same horrible realization.

"But won't the Daleks be destroyed as well?" Donna said.

"No, not unless they take cover… then they will be the only life form in existence." The Meta-Crisis said in a grave voice.

"So what now?" Jenny asked frightened.

"I've got an idea. Follow my instructions." He said and went to get some things, and Jenny went to help him, and listened to what he said.

She prayed to whatever deity was out there, that they can put a stop to this.
