Gods, she tastes good.
That's the one thing that runs through Percy Jackson's mind as Reyna pecks him on the lips before smiling and waving goodbye, setting off for her day of work.
"Love you, Percy. Tonight's date night, don't forget or I'll whoop your ass."
Percy nods, a little dazed. Reyna smirks a little as she remembers how easy it is to charm her boyfriend. She shakes her head as she closes the door; he was horribly endearing.
Percy smiled as he watched Reyna walk off towards her place of work. His girlfriend always had an intangible quality that just attracted him towards her so naturally – maybe it was the way she could kick his ass, or how no-nonsense she was, or how she'd swear furiously when Alejandro was being a dick on her favourite telenovela. You know, the usual.
But there was something that just pushed him over the age – her taste.
Reyna tasted amazing. Whenever her lips touched his there was a lingering feeling that made them tingle. There was an enticing scent that would permeate his olfactory sensors the entire day, making him go crazy.
She put her lips on his, and he loved the aftertaste.
And now, Percy licks his lips and there's a lingering, teasing taste there – enough so that he can register it, but too little for him to fully appreciate it. As soon as it arrives, it's gone, yet his brain is running on endorphins that rush towards it at the reminder of his girlfriend's kiss.
The Son of Poseidon sighs and smiles, at the same time taking in the scent that wafts up to his nose from his lips. It was an exotic flavour and scent that assaults his senses; one he can't quite put his finger on.
The closest thing, he reckons, is some sort of spice. Still, despite his ability to cook, Percy can't recall a single ingredient he's ever used that is similar to Reyna's unique flavour. Maybe he'll never find out.
Not like he cares, really. As long Reyna's there, Percy knows everything will be alright.
Fin.
