A snowball hit the back of my head.

I turned around quickly, unhappy that someone just made my entire back and neck cold. "WHO THE FU-"

"Sorry," a girl around my age said, an apologetic look on her face. "I was aiming for Thalia."

Thalia, my cousin, who was walking beside me, laughed. "I told you you couldn't aim."

"Shut up, Grace," the girl said.

Now that I was taking in her features, I could see that she was quite stunning. Her honey-blonde curls fell perfectly by her shoulders, her grey hat complemented her intense grey eyes perfectly, and her athletic body was noticeable, even in her black winter jacket.

Thalia looked between us, probably noticing that we were checking each other out. "Percy, this is Annabeth, she's in my class, and she's one of my best friends," she introduced. Wow, Annabeth was such a pretty name. "Annabeth, this is my cousin, Percy."

"Hey," I said, smiling.

"Hi," she responded.

"Percy and I were about to go to the cafe down the street. Wanna join?" Thalia questioned Annabeth.

She smiled. "Sure."

Thalia and Annabeth walked side-by-side and I decided to hang behind. I picked up a handful of snow, moulded it into a ball, and threw it at Annabeth's head.

When it hit her, Thalia and I began laughing like psychos, and Annabeth turned around and was glaring at me.

"You hit me first," I reasoned.

"By accident!" she retorted. "You are so gonna regret that."

She picked up more snow and threw it at me. Of course, though, she missed and threw the snowball way too much to the left.

I picked up more snow and threw right at her face.

Soon enough, it turned into a huge snowball fight, in which even Thalia had joined.

In the end, when we were all drenched in melted snow and tired from the whole fiasco, we decided to finally go to the cafe that we had planned to go to in the first place.

"Thalia was right," I said, taking my seat in front of Annabeth. "You suck at throwing and you have no aim."

"Well, you're just plain out rude," she said, even though there was a smile tugging at her lips.

Thalia sat next to me, grinning like a madman. I wonder what that was about...

Throughout the next hour and a half, Annabeth and I got to know each other better, while Thalia was sitting next to us scrolling through her phone.

When I asked her why she wasn't joining in on our conversation, she just smiled and winked at me. Weird...

Finally, Thalia and I had to part ways with Annabeth, which honestly made me sad. She was pretty amazing.

We offered to drive her home, but she said that she was fine and that she lived at the end of the street (where our snowball fight happened) which is probably why she appeared out of nowhere to throw that snowball at Thalia, failing miserably.

When Annabeth was gone, Thalia looked at me with a smirk that just wouldn't leave her face.

"What is it?" I asked her. "Do I have something stuck in my teeth?"

"No, Kelp Head, but you so obviously want her stuck in there," she said.

I rolled my eyes. "I do not!"

"Oh, you so do," she responded.

"I do not!" I repeated.

When we finally decided to leave, Thalia drove me back home first, seeing that she was the one with the car and the licence.

Before I left, she handed me a folded piece of paper. "Here," she said, "you're gonna need this."

I took the paper and unfolded it. I looked at Thalia and sighed, "Really, Thals? You gave me her number?"

"You're welcome," she said.

I got out of the car and yelled as she drove away; "FOR YOUR INFORMATION I'M NOT GONNA CALL HER."

Let's just say that later on, I thanked Thalia for giving me Annabeth's number.
