Kat was the first to speak.
"How's your head?" he asked, breaking the silence.
Ivy didn't answer for a long moment.
"It feels better. I got a headache though." Ivy said.
Another awkward silence followed.
"Welp. Let me have it. Let it all out. I deserve it." Kat said.
"Kat. I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed. To be honest, I'm not sure if I could even call you my friend." Ivy said as she made herself comfortable.
Kat sighed. "In fact. It amazes me that the others still want you around. You've been mean to Aqua. You tried to attack her." Ivy said.
Kat hopped up on the bed.
"That reminds me. Did Aqua push you into that ravine?" Kat asked in a tone.
"Marshall asked me that same question. No she didnt. I tripped over a tree root." she responded.
Kat nodded. "What about your brakes?" he asked.
"I'm a bit of an amateur mechanic. Sometimes I fix my own car." Ivy said.
Kat stared at her. "But they were cut clean through according to Rocky."
She blushed. "I didn't say I was very good at it." Ivy told him.
Kat sighed and shook his head. "Wow. Guess I haven't been a very good friend."
"Guess not." Ivy said as Kat began to paw at the footboard.
"You've been hostile towards me. You played a very mean tried to attack Aqua." Ivy reprimanded him.
Kat eyed the covers. "Technically it was Aqua who planned the prank. I just wanted to get you back but I was having second thoughts." Kat muttered.
"I know. They all told me. I think you'd better apologize to everyone." Ivy said.
"Ivy. The reason I was hostile was because I was trying to get leave. I was afraid of hurting you again. Which I did." Kat said as he gestured towards her bandaged head and paw.
"Do you know the real reason your parents made you stop looking for me?" Kst asked as he looked at Ivy.
Her eyes gazed into his as she awaited the answer.
"No. I dont." Ivy said. "Why?"
"It was because I asked them too. I visited them as you were recovering. I told them everything. They were furious at first but...one look at my face and they could see that I regretted it. I asked them to cease looking for me. I told em I was leaving town. I'm sorry Ivy. I shouldve helped you."
