" I can't believe we're going to Themyscira."

" I can't believe she actually had a child with him."

This quick response that forces Terry to stop his packing and turn to pay a glance over his shoulder at Melanie. A girlfriend that upon feeling his gaze on her turns and merely shrugs her shoulders with nothing but a questionable gaze being returned his way.

" What? You've had to deal with him longer than I have. The oldman is as stubborn as they come. If he is this stubborn now can you possibly imagine just how much of a prick he must have been back in his youth? Though i'll admit if anyone could reign him in my money would be on her. I mean she's frickin Wonder Woman!"

Unable to keep the chuckle that escapes his lips turning his head back forward to continue his task of packing up his very own travel bag as he stuffs another shirt into his bag with a grin forming unable to help himself every few seconds Terry can't help but glance Melanie's way. She does have a point. Through the brief time he has spent with the old man many things had become clear to him about his mentor. He is stubborn. That was bluntly obvious. The my way or the highway type. So much so that he has a need to control every situation he is in. Even though he no longer wears the cowl. A little detail that is constantly reminded to him each and every single night to no prevail. This stubbornness that always leads to verbal altercations and this was at his current age. He couldn't possibly imagine just what he was like back when he could still wear the cowl. Could still walk out and about never truly having to worry about anything life would throw at him.

But he wouldn't think about that. No Bruce's time as Batman was long gone. Now they were in the Mcginnis era. The only thing to do was to stop looking towards the past and instead keep moving on forward into the future. And the future they find themselves in just keeps getting interesting. Never had he thought he would ever interact with some of the heroes of old. The Supermans….The Green Lanterns….The Flashs….The Wonder Womans….his childhood heroes. The heroes that he can still remember having posters of all across his bedroom walls. Still remember always wanting to watch the news to hear about their latest adventures. And when he had entered the cave to find two of the biggest icons the world has ever seen standing right next to each other so many of those childhood memories had come back to him. He was just glad that Matt was there with them otherwise he could only shutter at what could have happened leading towards Melanie never letting him live it down.

" Still though don't you wonder even for a single second why they didn't raise their child together? It just doesn't add up for me. I mean, I wouldn't really blame her if she decided to raise the child herself. If the legends are true then maybe perhaps Themyscira would be the best place for her to raise the child."

Very true points that bring up a lot of questions to the surface. Some in which though intrigue him greatly he didn't feel it was his place to ask. It is none of their business after all. Instead they should just focus on the impending trip instead and this trip itself. To Themyscira. The home of the amazons. That itself had shocked him to his core. Made the child inside of him shout for joy. An island that many fans across the world would kill to see and to be honest he couldn't blame them. He was dying to see the place for himself. If the stories he had heard about the place were true then this was going to be an awesome mini vacation. The very same thoughts he can see his girlfriend having as she tries to sneak a small bag into her travel bag with the evidence of what it is containing being hidden away safely but he already has a good feeling of just what is inside. Her face right now was a dead giveaway. This smirk across her face that she always has whenever she is planning something. Plans that usually turn out in his favor. At least he likes to think so anyways.

" And who says we're only going to be training while we're there? An island with endless shores seems like a pretty good spot to relax don't you think?"

He couldn't disagree with her. The mere thought of what the island would present to them has been on his mind ever since the motorcycle ride back here. Endless beach shores. No city life anywhere in sight. Just him and her. His bikini clad girlfriend. What more could he ask for? Though he knew if the old man has his way then this would be nothing but a pipe dream. This training they would undergo while there was a question amongst itself. Just what kind of training would they have to endure and just who would be the one issuing the orders? If it is the amazonian princess herself then he knew they would be in deep trouble. Just the thought of having to face off against an experienced amazon already makes his body ache in pain. He would just have to remain positive and think of the benefits of such an experience. That would be the only way they would survive this. As for him? He would just have to implant an image in his head. A bikini clad Melanie Walker walking down the shores. Such an image Terry can see clearly right now making him smile. A smile that is quickly noticed by her as her questionable gaze goes unnoticed until she reacts by throwing a dirty shirt his way that lands directly on top of his head covering his face.

" Get your mind outta the gutter. We still have some more packing to do. Besides…."

Reaching up to remove the dirty shirt from his head the moment his face is visible again instantly a shiver runs up and down Terry's spine when he feels Melanie's hot breath tickling his ear.

" Your imagination won't do me any justice."

Leaning her head back getting the desired reaction she was looking for in the form of his eyes widening just as she sees the goofy grin that she has come to love forming across his face deciding a little more teasing is in order making her way back across the room to pluck her own travel bag off from the bedroom bed without paying a glance his way very slowly Melanie makes her way towards the open doorway of their bedroom swaying her hips a little more than she would usually do. And from the sudden sound of objects hitting the ground she instantly knew what his reaction was. The same reaction that he always has to her making her feel even more attractive. Making her feel as though she could even give the likes of Poison Ivy a run for her money if she was still around.

" You coming?"

Snapping out of his thoughts seeing his girlfriend looking towards him from the open doorway with a knowing grin quickly gathering the rest of his things with haste Terry stuffs them into his travel bag before dashing out of the room.

They look so….natural.

Never did she ever think she would find herself looking at the very image she is staring at in silence right now. True there are a lot of things she never thought she would ever see. Never did she think she would find true happiness. Never did she think she would find herself as the lone member of her family not currently behind bars. Never did she think she would find herself turning over a new leaf and facing off against the bad guys instead of working with them. But she supposes good things come to those that wait and she had waited just long enough for it to happen to her. She now has found her own happiness in the form of the equally silent young man sitting right by her side. A young man that looks as equally shocked as she does and for good reason. Never has either of them ever seen what they are looking at right now.

A smiling Bruce Wayne. An old man that despite how hard he tries if you were to look hard enough the faintest of smiles can be seen across his face. The exact opposite however could be seen across the face of the older woman sitting next to him while he flies The Batplane across the sea into the far horizon. To where he tries to hide it she doesn't. Her smile is on full display. A smile that must be infectious from the way they see the old man's lips twitching upward every single time his eyes drift towards her face for a mere brief few seconds before turning to look back forward as though he didn't do such a thing.

" I don't get it? Why is she here sitting with the rest of us? Can't she fly?"

Snapping out of her thoughts unable to help herself from rolling her eyes leaning closer so that they aren't overheard Melanie whispers into Terry's ear.

" Not everyone loves taking to the skies as much as you do."

Seeing the slight frown coming across his face straightening herself back in her own seat as she feels Terry's hand coming up to lay on top of her own a small smile comes across Melanie's face.

" True but if i recall someone also likes to take to the skies on a daily occasion. Something about feeling free but it could just be my imagination."

Not even paying a glance his way shaking her head slightly with her smile only growing turning her hand over Melanie laces their fingers together.

" Beats having to drive somewhere. As much as i love the bikes there isn't anything quite like when you're in the air. It just feels….right."

Knowing truly well what she means nodding his head in understanding earning himself a squeeze of his hand turning his head back forward instantly as he sees Bruce mimicking his actions from the way his right hand comes to find Wonder Woman's own a wide grin forms across Terry's face.

You sly dog.
