Today's prompt: Peggy gets sick, peggylaf- Sora

"Doctor, I'm here, what's wrong?!" Lafayette frantically asked the doctor standing by his wife, Peggy's hospital bed taking notes, where she was laying unconscious.

"Her sister, Elizabeth called, apparently she passed out for mostly unknown reasons-" "what do you mean, mostly?!" He was getting slightly frustrated at this point, but he was mostly just confused. "Sir, We have an idea about something that's a pretty big announcement, so I'm afraid I can not tell you until we're sure."

Lafayette sighed, and plopped down into the uncomfortable hospital chair, which he had gotten used to, given his friends, who were quite- well, you know. Suddenly, an assistant nurse came bursting through the door. Lafayette read the name tag she was wearing. Theodosia. Burr's kid!

"Doctor! The test results came back!" She called in a not-so-calm manner as she gestured a polite wave towards Lafayette, considering the two knew each other. "I'm coming! Sir, I'll be back."

Lafayette slowly walked over to the bed, sat down next to it, and grabbed His wife's hands. "Mon amour,si quelquechose arrive, je t'aime" He said, his accent coming through thick, while a tear escapes his eye. He felt a warm embrace suddenly tighten around his hand.

He jolted his head up, to see Peggy looking at him, with a weak smile. "Je t'aimeál' infini". " He instantly sat up and tightly wrapped his arms around her. He slowly sat back down. Suddenly the doctor came through the door,with a clipboard in hand. "Oh! She's awake! So you can both hear the news!" "What news?" Lafayette inquired with a raised eyebrow.

"Congratulations! You're pregnant! The baby caused the fainting, but both you and the baby are perfectly healthy." He said, giving Peggy an empathetic smile. Lafayette glanced over to see a tear roll down Peggy's cheek, and it was clear it wasn't from happiness. The doctor noticed, and slowly backed out of the room. "I-I knew the whole time. I'm sorry, I didn't know this would happen! I swear, I never meant to cause all this."

"Baby, I'm not mad. I'm excited! But why didn't you tell me?" Lafayette was concerned now.

"When I got pregnant the first time, I was still with an ab*sive ex. He called me a bunch a homophobic slurs, and I just, didn't want that that to happen again." Peggy is bisexual, which was never something she tried to hide, at least not anymore.

"Mon amour, please don't be scared of me. I would never hurt you. What happened to the baby?"

"I gave it up for adoption. Last I heard, the kid's living in London with it's rich parents." Peggy informed with a slight laugh.

When the couple got home, they decided to watch Storks, it was only appropriate. They were cuddled up on the couch until they fell asleep in each other's arms.
