Hello, welcome, thank you for waiting for me! I sincerely hope you enjoy~ I'll mention it in the end note again, but I had a really hard time writing this chapter. I had a few moments where I just wanted to give up. So I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone that reviewed, followed and favorited my story. Honestly, thank you so much, you never failed to make me smile and gave me the motivation to write!

Also, just an informative note: I forgot to put disclaimers on each chapter, so I'll go back and fix that and start doing it from now on. I won't change anything else.

Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters, just the plot, Hiyori and Chihiro.

Secret hiding spots

Hiyori Pov

We were behind schedule. I sighed and leaned back into my seat, tuning out our teacher, who was rattling up facts about the Roman empire. It was Wednesday, meaning that our deadline to the tasks we had set for ourselves was getting shorter and shorter.

The only problem was that we needed the whole group to be together for it to work. Of course we could also do it over text, but then it would be easier for the lovebirds to refuse, who turns out, were pretty shy. I fiddled with the hair tie around my wrist while thinking of ways to make this work. This was going to be harder than I thought.

On the subject of thinking: my feud with my friend's fanbase had definitely calmed down. The glares were less hostile, most girls had even been civil to me. It had been barely ten days. I thought was supposed to endure this for weeks. This only meant one thing: Oikawa-san had done something.

I glanced at the teacher, who was still completely immersed in his story about gladiators. I sneakily reached into my bag and pulled out my phone. I unlocked it and pulled up my chat with Oikawa-san.

Hiyori: I know what you did.

I waited a few minutes and sure enough, the guy in question answered.

Oikawa: Uhmm, and what would that be exactly?

Hiyori: Don't try to dodge the question.

Hiyori: You did something.

Oikawa: I do a lot of things.

Oikawa: Be more specific.

Hiyori: A girl said good morning to me.

Oikawa: Uh, congrats?

Hiyori: Don't try to act stupid, you said something to them, didn't you?

Oikawa: Maybe.

Oikawa: Then again maybe not. I guess you'll never know :)

I laughed softly, he was so annoying. A fond smile then overtook my features and I started texting again.

Hiyori: Oikawa-san?

Oikawa: Yes?

Hiyori: Thank you.

Oikawa: No problem. 3

'Suzu-chan, we've come to escort you to lunch!'

I looked up and saw Hanamaki-san and Matsukawa-san standing in the doorway of the classroom. I collected my bag, got up and walked over to them.

'I don't remember agreeing to having lunch with you guys.'

Despite my words, I hoisted my bag onto my shoulder and started walking off with them.

'Not just us, we're collecting the whole squad.' Hanamaki-san said with a grin.

'Oikawa demanded it. He send us to go get you.' Matsukawa-san added.

Nice one Oikawa-san. He'd finally managed to create an opportunity for us to make a move.

'What about Chi-chan? Is she coming too?'

'Naturally, he send Iwaizumi her way, since she's in a different building.'

Right, chemistry had a building all to itself. Rumor say that they made it that way because someone set three classrooms on fire during a chemistry experiment. Oikawa-san couldn't have set this up more perfectly, giving our two targets some time alone.

'Y'know,' I said pensively, looking to my right, where my two friends were walking, 'I've noticed that you guys always finish each other's thoughts.'

'Really?' Hanamaki-san said with a grin.

'I've never noticed' The other finished, his grin matching the one of his friend.

I rolled my eyes and looked out the window. We were slowly but surely making our way towards the gym.

'We're gonna eat at the gym?'

One of them hummed, which I interpreted as a yes. We walked outside and I started making my way over to the gym doors, when Matsukawa-san grabbed my wrist.

'Wha-'

He put his index finger to his lips, signaling me to be quiet. I glanced at my pink haired friend, who was looking around and looking overall suspicious. He then gave us both a thumbs up, adding to my confusion. I didn't get the time to think about it, because as if on cue, they both sprinted to the left-hand side of the gym, dragging me along by my wrist.

We were headed straight for the bushes that surrounded the building and at the last minute we swerved right, where I noticed a small path leading past the brick wall.

We followed it, wandering deeper into the shrubs, which were now reaching up to a little under my armpits. Finally, after a sharp turn to our right, we arrived at a small clearing, probably no bigger than four meters in diameter. Oikawa-san was already there, leaning against a small, but sturdy looking tree.

'Yahoo~' He said cheerily, waving at us.

Matsukawa-san let go of my wrist and my two escorts walked over to their captain and sat down near him. The brunette spread his arms and looked at me proudly.

'Welcome to our secret meeting spot!'

I heard rustling behind me and a few seconds later, Chi-chan and her crush also stepped into the clearing.

'Hey.' She said casually and strolled over to the brick wall, which I assumed was the back wall of the gym.

I shook myself out of my dumbstruck state and halfheartedly glared at my two companions.

'What was that in front of the gym all about?'

'Yeah, sorry about that, we didn't want anyone overhearing us explain or noticing us, so we had to go fast.'

I snorted and joined Chi-chan, sitting down next to her.

'I think making a mad dash towards a bunch of bushes was probably the most suspicious thing you could have done. I'm surprised no one ever followed you.'

'Well, no one ever has.' The pink haired wing spiker said pettily, sticking out his tongue at me.

'Yeah,' Iwaizumi-san said while grabbing his lunchbox, 'you're the first two to see this place besides us.'

'That's right!' Oikawa-san exclaimed, 'You should feel honored.'

I quickly came up with a witty reply, but inside, I really did feel special.

'Alright, so Oikawa-san and I have been thinking.' I began after we had all eaten our lunch.

We still had roughly fifteen minutes left before class started again, so we really needed to start making moves.

'Thinking?' Matsukawa-san said, looking at Oikawa-san.

'Never knew you were capable of that.' Hanamaki-san finished with a smirk.

'Hey! You guys are always so mean to me.' The brunette whined and reached over to punch the raven haired boy, who was sitting closest to him.

Matsukawa-san merely dodged and kept his grin firmly in place.

'What were you guys thinking?' Chi-chan asked and I silently thanked her for setting herself up for our scheme.

'As you all know that Oikawa-san came over on Saturday to tutor me.' I started to explain.

The rest nodded, all aware of that fact.

'Well, turns out,' Oikawa-san said, taking over the conversation, 'Suzumi-chan has got this huge tv!'

'We decided that it's perfect for watching practice matches.' I finished excitedly.

'Watching practice matches? What happened to studying?' Chi-chan asked me.

'We classified it as an educational form of relaxation.' I countered.

'Saying it using fancy words won't change the fact that you guys slacked off, y'know.' Chi-chan replied teasingly.

'And this is important for us to know because?' Iwaizumi-san inquired.

'Well, the two of us,' I gestured between me and the brunette, 'thought it would be a fun idea if we all met up at my place on Saturday to watch another one together!'

'That does sound fun!' My best friend said, a small blush covering her cheeks.

For some reason I felt that it wasn't the match she was excited about.

'Would your parents be okay with four pretty tall and intimidating guys coming over?'

'Don't worry Iwa-chan, you're neither pretty, tall nor intimidating, so you're good to go.'

'I'm gonna absolutely destroy you during practice today.' Iwaizumi-san replied darkly.

I quickly moved on to cut off whatever the other was about to say. I had a feeling it wouldn't do the ace's patience any good.

'Yeah,' I said, 'they're fine with it as long as they're home when you guys come over. They're leaving in the afternoon to go to the cinema, so we'd need to watch the game in the morning. Oikawa-san can stay behind to tutor me afterwards. If you guys are cool with that of course.'

'Sure, this sounds much better than trying to all squeeze in front of Oikawa's laptop.' Matsukawa-san said and his friend beside him nodded in agreement.

I laughed, trying to picture the four big guys all smushed together in front of a laptop.

'I wish I could've seen that.' I said.

'I did, once.' Chi-chan said, giggling, 'They once reviewed a game in the club room, it did not look cute.'

'Hey, we're always cute!' Oikawa-san said accusingly.

'I don't know how I feel about that statement.' Matsukawa-san said drily.

The other two looked equally conflicted and chorused 'me either'.

Yass, all done! Man, I don't think I've ever been this lost when writing a chapter. You guys have no idea how long it took me to write this thing. I think I've rewritten this single chapter at least 4 separate times, all in different ways. I still don't know how to feel about it, it's kinda… meh in my opinion. Maybe it's because there's not a lot happening. I'll try and do better for the next chapter! It'll be uploaded on Saturday.

In case you were interested, here's a list of things that almost happened, but then didn't:

A fully written out scene with some bullies (I felt like it would ruin the positive vibes, so I steered away from that)

Hiyori was going to dream about Oikawa and her kissing

I was going to make it rain, so Hiyori and Oikawa could start 'operation umbrella' (It'll happen later)

I was going to make Hanamaki and Matsukawa make out in an empty hallway (I love that ship, so I'll still make them a couple, somewhere down the line)
