Castiel leaves Heaven in a hurry. All the yelling and arguments are driving him crazy. He doesn't understand why everyone insists on picking a side. Are they not good enough to live in peace without a leader? Why wouldn't his father come back and order everyone to stop? Castiel couldn't prevent the questions from piling up. Between the mystery that was Sam and Heaven's misjudgements he didn't know how to balance it. He couldn't just abandon Heaven.

He may have before but that was because the leadership of Michael was corrupt. The Apocalypse was over and both archangels were in the deepest part of hell. Dean and Sam were important to him, but he couldn't leave Heaven open for corruption. No one could fathom what would come to pass. But with the amount of power Sam is keeping at bay, wouldn't Sam pose more of a danger? If he was somehow forced to release it all, what would happen?

Maybe focusing on Heaven needed to be pushed down the list of things he should be keeping his eyes on. Castiel lands in an empty field under the night sky, making up his mind. The night he felt the power inside Sam he had heard Gabriel's voice. He had said to wait. What should he wait for? That power could overwhelm Sam anyday. It was a wonder that he has held it back so far. Not only had he heard Gabriel's voice, he had felt the familiarity of his older brother's grace.

Castiel needed to find him. He would have the answers about Sam. Castiel kneels down until he is on his knees. What he is about to do is not the best idea, but it is the only way to find Gabriel. Castiel focuses on the feeling of Gabriel's grace and starts to pray to his brother.

"Gabriel, if you are alive, I need your help. It's Sam, I don't think he can contain the power he holds for much longer. I heard your voice when I tried to seek out the power's origins. Please, brother. You are the only one with answers." Castiel stands and looks around the field. He doubts he will show up, Lucifer killed him after he helped the Winchester's with the door to the cage. He sighs and spreads his wings, it was time he told Sam and Dean about everything.

It's the next morning when the four of them are under the same roof. The whole morning consisted of Dean scarfing down bacon and pancakes while bickering with Sam about how you couldn't eat pancakes without bacon. Bobby couldn't help but smile at them as they laughed and argued with each other. Eventually Dean dragged Castiel into the argument, which just made the angel more and more confused. All the angel could do was tell them over and over again that he just tasted the "molecules".

If he were to be honest with himself he should be interrupting them all and telling them they all had more important things to do, but he couldn't bring himself to. They already had rare moments like these, when nothing was crashing through the door and posing a new threat. He didn't want to deprive them of this moment, even if the world was going to end tomorrow, he would give them this. Between the confusion with Sam and the ongoing plan to get Adam back, they deserved this break.

Bobby walks over to the counter to refill his coffee as Dean erupts in laughter. Bobby turns to see that the angel is currently eating a piece of bacon with his brow furrowed. Idjits. Bobby thinks as he grabs his coffee and sits down at the table. "What do you think Bobby?" Dean asks, lifting a piece of bacon to his lips. Bobby takes a sip of his coffee, "Bacon is good pretty damn good with pancakes." Bobby says, as Dean points a finger in Sam's face. "Ha I told you. You can't have pancakes without bacon." Dean says triumphantly.

"Now I never said that boy. Bacon is good with pancakes, but you don't have to have bacon to eat pancakes." Bobby says, as Dean slumps back in his chair and fake pouts. "Shut up." Dean says, as a smile plays on Sam's face. "What? I didn't say anything!" Sam protests, taking a bite of his pancakes. "You didn't have to." Dean says, taking the bacon off of Cas' plate. Sam chuckles and gets up, heading to the coffee machine. Bobby looks over at Castiel, who looks lost in thought. Bobby sighs, "What's on your mind feathers?" Bobby asks, knowing that his question would interrupt their day to relax.

"I touched the power that is raging inside of Sam." Cas says simply. A crash is heard from behind them, making all three people turn sharply. Sam is standing in the kitchen, coffee all over the floor, along with pieces of glass. Sam awkwardly clears his throat and turns to get paper towels. "You okay, son?" Bobby asks, noticing the slight tremble of Sam's hands as he wipes up the mess. "Uh, yeah." Sam says, after drying up the spilled liquid and throwing pieces of glass in the trash. Bobby decides not to prod for the reason behind the accident.

"You were saying?" Bobby says, turning and motioning for the angel to continue. "The power inside of Sam it's…" Cas drifts off, and stands up. "It's what?" Dean asks, obviously getting impatient. "It's complex. When I touched his power I felt Gabriel." Cas says, looking at Sam. "The fake Trickster?" Bobby asks, not liking what that would mean. "Yes, I tried to look for him, thinking he may have faked his death. But…"

"You couldn't find him." Sam interrupts, running a hand through his hair. Bobby, takes his cap off and runs his fingers through his own hair and sighs. "Why would the trickster want anything to do with Sam? Didn't he trap you in an endless loop?" Bobby asks, confused as to why the fake trickster archangel is so involved with Sam. "I don't know why, but I'll be the one to make sure he's dead for whatever the hell he did to Sam." Dean says angrily, getting up from his chair.

"All right now, slow your roll. We have to find him first." Bobby says, lifting his mug and draining the rest of his coffee. "If he's alive." Sam says, leaning back in his chair. "I'll still search for him, but he can hide himself from me." Cas says, backing away from the table and disappearing. Bobby smirks as Dean rolls his eyes. "I'm going to work." Bobby says, walking towards the back door.
