I put releasing this chapter off to coincide with the release of Minecraft Steve, or at least a day after when I wake up and Steve is already released.
I am not going to main Steve, but I will get him to Elite Smash, or die trying...
Have an enjoyable read gamers.
Also, many lame jokes ahead, just a heads up.

…?
A vision!
The capsules began to rain down from above, and everyone at once went their separate ways to duck for cover, Seteth and Min Min hiding behind a broken chair while Shulk held his sword up in hoped of blocking something.
Then, one of the capsules flew past Shulk, hitting the hilt of his sword and traveling towards the door. Shulk suddenly turned back and saw a capsule heading towards that Bernadetta girl before Shulk suddenly felt something colliding with his back.
He had let his guard down…
…!
Shulk returned to the present, and as suggested by his vision the capsules began to rain down from above, and Seteth and Min Min quickly strafed left an put their backs to a stand, and Shulk, quick as ever, rushed over to Bernadetta and Flayn, holding his sword up as multiple capsules came shooting towards him.
"Look out!" Shulk said as one of the capsules collided with the Monado, the Monado recoiling and promptly hitting him in the face. "Ouch..."
"Aaah, we're going to die!" Bernadetta yelled.
Shulk held the Monado towards Flayn and managed to subdue one of the capsules heading towards her, afterwards taking down another three capsules before the dangerous capsule hail ceased
"Is everyone alright?" Shulk asked.
"I don't think so…" Bernadetta replied. "I might be hallucinating, but I'm pretty sure there's something rainbow floating over next to where we do choir practice…"
"Something rainbow?" Shulk asked, looking towards where Bernadetta was motioning. He could barely see it, but there did appear to be something there. "Good eyesight." Shulk complimented as he ran over to the practice location.
It was in trouble up for obvious reasons, but there were more important things to worry about. Shulk was close to the Death Egg Robot, so he had to be cautious. Still, he reached the rainbow orb, and saw…
An orb with an image of a woman, one with brown hair and… "noticeable fruits" to say the very least.
"Another spirit?" Shulk asked.
"Spirit?" the woman asked. "Well, it's not the worst thing a man has called me." She said as the spirit jittered around. "Do you know whatever happened to those robots that invaded?"
"Uh…" Shulk looked towards the Death Egg which was summoning more capsules. "I'll explain later." Shulk replied as he thought of the mantra.
What was it again…?
The Spirit Gun disappeared, and the spirit seemed to flash as Shulk unzipped the bag and held it up to the spirit, trapping it inside. Shulk quickly zipped up the bag feeling slight strain on his arm, and suddenly felt a burst of information fill his mind.

Manuela: Series "Fire Emblem" (Fire Emblem Three Houses) (Support Spirit)
Bio: A teacher at Garreg Mach Monastery who has a penchant to singing, magic, and alcohol. Lots and lots of alcohol. After hearing a beautiful singing voice one day as a child, she wanted to be a songstress and eventually joined the Mittelfrank Opera Company, becoming an instructor at Garreg Mach years later. Just between you and me, her and Byleth may have something going on, but those are just rumors…
Spirit Perk: Increased magic attack.

"Spirit Signal lost, great job..." the robot chided Eggman. "I get you're the first boss, but you can't be THAT easy."
"I was getting to that..." Eggman groaned, his tone sounding like he was arguing with his parent. The robot quickly turned around to its side and faced towards Shulk.
"Shulk, get over here!" Seteth called out. "You can't simply charge in!"
He was right, I mean Shulk's last name was not Jenkins, nor did his first name begin with an L. But there was a spirit, and if this thing was powered by spirits...
Shulk quickly ran over to where Seteth was, dodging an arm-axe thing slammed into the ground narrowly. Shulk skidded to a stop and turned over to the other in the group.
"Alright, listen up!" Shulk yelled, getting everyone's attention. "We still need to detach the Spirit Core from its back, but I'm going to need all of you to provide a distraction while I get up there."
"What type of distraction?" Seteth asked.
"Well, do any of you know how to dan-"
"NO!" Everyone in the room, including Sonic yelled, utterly repulsed.
"Okay, sorry." Shulk huffed, looking to the side. "Okay, how about a pretend forfeit?" he asked, gaining a decent amount of interest. "Earlier, the Egg Man said he had never won more than once, so if we egg on his ego, I may have a chance..."
"You expect this to work?" Seteth asked.
"Look, I may not be the best at tactics, I may have at one point taken four days to figure out that a pawn moves one space in Chess, and I may or may not have attacked an Immovable Gonzales randomly, forcing me to flee halfway across Gaur Plain, but I'm sort of sure that this has a twenty percent chance to work!"
"..." nobody spoke and just looked at him like he unironically got mad at Steve being in Smash.
"Just try it, if we fail, I'm sure we'll probably maybe sort of survive to tell the tale." Shulk said, trying to raise up morale. "By the way, are we not being attacked or..." Shulk turned around back towards the Death Egg Robot, which was hovering there, not a care in the world.
"Finally, I kind of tuned out while you were having your mid-battle group session." Eggman replied. "Don't worry, Sonic does it all the time, then he defeats me with the power of friendship or something like that..."
"O...k..." Shulk replied. He then turned back to the others. "I'm going to sneak around, just pretend to give up, alright?" he whispered.
"I don't approve of your plan, but I haven't a plan myself..." Seteth replied. "Go on, we'll try our best."
Shulk nodded and slowly stepped to the side, the right side to be more specific, of the cathedral as he listened in on the strange sounding conversation in the background.
"Halt!" Seteth called out as Shulk made his way towards the wall. "We... surrender..." Seteth sounded like he was eating moldy cheese when saying this, as it sounded so forced that it was like the voice acting in Byleth's trailer.
"You surrender?" Eggman asked, a sudden bit of glee springing up in his voice. "Like for real?"
"Yes, very real..." Seteth replied, breathing so hard that Shulk could hear it as he hit the wall, beginning to creep forward slowly.
"This isn't a trap is it?" Eggman asked.
"It obviously is." the robot interjected.
"Silence, I want to hear this!" Eggman commanded.
"Yes, what my brother said is true!" Flayn added as Shulk was vertical to the side of the robot. "We are indeed fully surrendering all of our beings in a grand move."
"Yes, that's true." Min Min added, clearly not fitting into this equation.
"There's a 99.987 percent chance that they're lying." the robot told Eggman. "Attack whilst their guards are d-"
"Oh please, I had 99.9% of land taken over the other year and Sonic still somehow won." Eggman replied. "Statistics don't mean anything unless I want them to!"
"Are you... I... just... what?" the robot seemed at a loss for words, strangely un-robot like as Shulk made his way far enough to where he could sneak behind the robot effortlessly. "Are you actually braindead?"
"Would a braindead person have an IQ of over 300?" Eggman asked as a strange... zzurp sound was heard. "Now silence!'
"Did... did you just turn off the capsules?" the robot asked, as Shulk was shockingly close to the back of the robot. "WHYYYYYY?"
Shulk tuned out the conversation and focused his attention on the back of the hovering robot. There was a hole in the bottom, though it was being covered, covered by Eleven's shield. He clearly needed to use Jump, that part was obvious, but he also needed to make it discrete enough as to not get caught.
"Hey, is there anyone else around?" Sonic piped up, popping out from his obviously telegraphed and not at all skipped over hiding place.
"Quiet, I'm trying to figure out how to sneakily pull that shield off." Shulk whispered.
"Hit it with your homing attack, duh." Sonic replied getting a few seconds of utter silence from Shulk. "Oh right, you're a human, kinda forgot all that."
"Obviously." Shulk replied. "Anyways, got any ideas?"
"Well, maybe if you grab onto the Death Egg's back, you'd be able to do something?" Sonic suggested. "I mean, it's Eggman, you should just be able to hit him twelve times, then he's gone."
"I haven't counted the hits, but I can assure you it's probably less than that." Shulk replied, still thinking of ideas. "I could try it, but I don't know..."
"Shulk, any more hesitation and that green haired dude will probably snap." Sonic said as Shulk looked over to Seteth who seemed like he had just been on a long car ride with three screaming children and nothing to block their unpleasant voices out of his eardrums besides the wind from the open car window, but then according to the kids, "It's too cold." so he had to close the window and deal with the children for the rest of the three-hour long car ride home...
*ahem*
Moving on, Shulk mutually agreed with Sonic and delved into the power of his very funny sword, casting the Jump Monado art.
"Okay, you just have to make the jump, should be simple." Sonic said. "Just don't mess up, it should be easy."
"Yeah, I heard you..." Shulk responded, as he crouched down, and...
Boing!
Shulk jumped upwards, quick as a flash and managed to grab on to the side of the rigid surface, quickly pulling himself upwards onto the core. It was a wobbly place to be, high chance of falling over if you were not careful.
"There is a highly probable change you are being attacked at the moment!" the robot yelled in a semi-frantic manner. "Turn the capsules back on ALREADY!"
"Feel sort of bad for this guy honestly." Shulk said to nobody. "But we'll deal with that later, got any ideas on how to dismantle this thing?" he asked Sonic.
"Try jumping on it a few times, always works for me."
"Well, it probably won't work, but why not?" Shulk jumped on top of the core, his shoes clanking against the metallic material on each consecutive landing.
"Doesn't work, see?" Shulk said, emphasizing the unmoving metal. "Would've been too easy honestly..." he muttered "Okay, where was I?" Shulk held the Monado upwards and without hesitation slammed the blade into the metal with the force of a blunt object, and...
Something seemed to happen. From the top of the Spirit Core, a spirit popped out like a flower shooting out spores, though only one.
"Oh, shit." Shulk said.
"Language!" Seteth called out. "There are children here."
Ignoring Seteth, but keeping that in mind, Shulk looked towards the spirit which was a kid with noticeably dull features and probably exceptionally low, horrible stats to boot.
"Huh, where am I?" the kid asked, taking up way more time than he needed.
"So, if we hit this, spirits come out of the top?" Shulk asked. "I guess that makes sense, the spirits have to exit the core to be sucked into the robot, so perhaps it uses a mechanism that simulates some sort of hit?"
"What?" the kid asked.
Shulk recited the mantra and summoned the very family friendly Spirit Gun into his very firm hands, the background being taken up by Eggman sounding like he met his favorite celebrity at Comic Con. Shulk charged it up, and with a blast, shot the spirit with the spirt gun and promptly collected it, nearly falling off in the process.

Cyril - Series "Fire Emblem" (Fire Emblem Three Houses) (Support Spirit)
Bio: Cyril was born in western Almyra, a country near Fódlan. He lost his parents in one of the constant battles between Almyra and Fódlan, and came to serve in the Almyran army before being captured by soldiers of House Goneril and made a servant of the family. Eventually, he was noticed by Archbishop Rhea, who took him in as a servant at Garreg Mach Monastery. That description was not taken from Google or anything, this character is not laughably boring or anything, and you will totally want to use this no-name unit when you have trained 20+ other units to level 30, especially when you are halfway through the game...

"Alright, another spirit in the collection!" Shulk cheered. "Just need to get the rest of em..."
"Enough, I am taking over operations until you can learn to get off of your posterior, Doctor!" the robot voice said as the robot began to spin rapidly, and Shulk promptly fell off to the side.
"Hey, what gives?" Eggman asked. "I was about to post this to Inst-"
"Forget social media, you need to realize that if you defeat these carbon-based buffoons, The Boss will give you enough praise you'll be able to... bring back the Chao Garden or something like that."
"Bring back Chao Garden, well why didn't you say so?" Eggman asked.
"Finally, we're getting somewhere..." the robot moaned. "Just do what you were doing before, but better, okay?" the robot suggested. "Also, I suggest you spin that low tier off of your back."
"Better run." Shulk said as he jumped from the Death Egg just before it spun its body, landing near the side. Shulk then turned and ran over to the other as the Death Egg Robot hovered backwards. "Alright, Min Min, Seteth, come with me, I have a plan."
"What's the plan?" Seteth asked.
"I'll tell you when we get there, just hurry up, alright?" the two nodded and they ran forward for a moment before stopping as the Death Egg Robot backed itself against the wall.
"Get a load of this!" Eggman yelled as a capsule shot out of the robot, directly upwards. Then another, and another until multiple, a crowd even, capsules were floating above them, dispersed all around.
"Let's stay together, I don't know what he's trying." Shulk said as he backed toward Min Min, and Seteth put his back towards Shulk's.
"Taste explosions!" Eggman yelled as the various capsules headed straight downwards, on impact exploding into various fiery balls, setting the property damage in millions at this point.
"Keep your head down!" Shulk yelled as crashes were heard all around.
"I got this!" Min Min yelled. Shulk looked up from his very safe position momentarily and saw Min Min charging up some sort of attack, though how it could help he had not a clue. "HYAH!"
Shulk watched, confused as Min Min kicked her legs upwards, practically jumping at this point, and seemed to contact one of those capsules. Though instead of exploding and presenting everyone with a bloody carcass, the capsule flew back upwards, and in an arc...
Directly towards the Death Egg Robot...
The capsule collided with the Death Egg Robot and it exploded on impact, knocking the robot out of the air like it was a Boeing 737.
"Huh?" Shulk asked, contemplating whether to pinch himself. "How does a kick... never mind, the robot is down, hurry!"
The three hurried over to the Death Egg Robot while explosions rained down all around them, though fewer in number than before. He made it to the robot, and Shulk quickly activated the Buster Monado art.
"Alright, hit the Spirit Core with as much force as you can, we need to release as many spirits as possible!"
"Wouldn't releasing spirits disturb the dead?" Seteth asked.
"I'll explain later." Shulk responded, though he never would. "Just attack!"
The three ran around to the back of the robot, or at least enough near the back to where they could attack the core, and attacked it with such force, that at least five spirits popped out before the robot sprung up.
"You two stay back, I have to do something really quickly!" they two agreed and stepped back as Shulk repeated the mantra to summon the spirit gun. Oddly, the spirits did not seem to know what to do, in fact they were floating around aimlessly.
Wait, how am I supposed to hit them all if there are five of them? That would take too long.
"Hit them all at once..." Sothis spoke from inside of the bag. "Also, please stop asking such incendiary questions, I am trying to... sleep."
Alright, I will try that!
Shulk looked at the five spirits above and aimed the Spirit Gun accordingly, as if he were using a neutral special. He held down the handle... aimed upwards... and...
ZWIP!
Then gun fired full force an energy blast which would cause far more, damage if it missed, and thankfully it did not, hitting the first spirit. Though once it collided with the first, the spirit guns... laser? Light beam? Well, whatever it was it quickly zipped into the other spirit like a lightning bolt. Then another laser zipped into the next spirit, and another, and another, until...

"Wait, I didn't have to collect them if I shot multiple?" Shulk asked.
Sothis did not respond.
"Well, I guess that part's obvious, isn't it?" Shulk asked nobody. "I guess shooting multiple also combined spirits, so that's nice..."
No response...
"Right, back to battle."
Shulk ran back over to the two as the robot got back up, but something was off about one of the robot's hands. It seemed to have turned back into a regular hand, and as Shulk skidded to a stop near the others, he could get an idea of what happened.
"What happened to that cool electric sword I had?" Eggman asked. "And hurry up restarting the robot!"
"The spirit was released, idiot," the robot replied. "And I'd go faster if your hardware wasn't from 1998!"
"Was that beam of light that shot out yours?" Seteth asked as Shulk looked away.
"Uh, Seteth, how many people would you say are in the Monastery daily?" Shulk asked, completely ignoring the question.
"If I were to make an estimate, about a hundred-"
"Only counting the students and faculty member." Shulk clarified.
"If I were to guess, I'd say around forty-five, give or take a few?" Seteth finished.
"Can this discussion wait?" Min Min asked, not grasping the situation at hand.
"Well, if there are five there, and I've got two..." Shulk quickly did the 2,000,000 IQ math of 45 – 6 and came up with 39. "Alright, we can either hit it thirty-nine times, or somehow knock them all out in one go."
"That sounds tedious." Min Min remarked, though it wouldn't ever be as tedious as playing ARMS with motion controls.
"Yeah, but there isn't really an easy way out, is there?"
Then, like some sort of magic, an easy way out appeared. Odd, honestly that it would just... appear, but somebody heard Shulk. Well, somebody did, but that's for later...
But what appeared?
A ball.
A ball floating airborne, a ball with one horizontal and one vertical line going throughout the front. A rainbow color in hue, though its color mostly fluctuated from one to another. It was a Smash Ball.
To give a brief history lesson, Smash Balls were...
Items that appeared occasionally whenever matches went on in the tournament. Though sometimes they didn't appear, usually in 1v1's, they were important.
They allowed abilities that weren't able to be used within the tournaments to be unleashed, whether they be summoning projections of others, transforming your appearance into something far more deadly, or just a very flashy move it was something that could change the tide of battle if used correctly.
And now... it was here.
"A Smash Ball..." Shulk said.
"A Smash Ball?" Seteth asked.
"A Smash Ball." Min Min confirmed.
"A Smash Ball?!" Bernadetta yelled from a distance.
"Yes, a Smash Ball." Flayn confirmed, also yelling.
"A Smash Ball, what's that?" Eggman asked.
"Cease this horrible chain of words." the robot said. "To answer your question, if you hit the Smash Ball-"
Shulk ignored the robot and turned to the others. "Ok, I know we just changed the plan, but change of that plan, get the Smash Ball!"
{You Will Know Our Names – Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition}
The Smash Ball was near the entrance, near Flayn and Bernadetta who were thankfully unharmed. Shulk and the others quickly rushed towards it as the Death Egg Robot hovered motionless, Eggman listening to some long and tedious info dump.
"Bernadetta, I need you to attack the floating ball above you, Flayn, if possible, stay with Seteth and try to distract Eggman, Min Min..." Shulk paused for a moment. "Stay with me, I have a plan."
Bernadetta spoke. "Alright, but can I ask h-"
"There's no time for that!" Shulk replied. "Now hurry, we might still be able to win this!"
"On it, Flayn, follow me!" Seteth said as he and his sister ran ahead.
"Alright, if you need any help, just yell frantically, you seem to be good at that." Shulk told Bernadetta who seemed embarrassed. "Alright, Min Min, follow me!"
The two quickly ran forward and found themselves underneath the Smash Ball, and Min Min almost at once extended her ARMS towards the Smash Ball, both making it on target, knocking it away from them. Before anything else could happen, another pair of arms extended out, but these were metallic instead of whatever Min Min's arms were made of.
"Oh right, he's going for it as well..." Shulk groaned, looking towards the Death Egg Robot which had its left arm returning to sender.
"That Smash Ball is mine!" Eggman yelled.
An arrow suddenly hit the Smash Ball and fell onto the ground promptly, and Shulk gave a thumbs up behind himself without looking.
"I don't know how many hit's this will take but give it all you've got!" Shulk yelled to everybody as he turned all his attention towards the Smash Ball.
{===}
"Egg Man!" Seteth called out, making the robots body momentarily turn toward him. All he had to do was distact him, it was simple, yes? Yes, it was simple...
"Oh great, this guy." the robot sighed.
"What is it?" Eggman asked.
"You..." Seteth paused as if he was trying to think of a comeback after being roasted. "You are not liked by your original community!" Seteth said vividly.
"Tell me something I don't know." Eggman chuckled.
"Well, for a starting point..." Seteth began. "Y..." he began to trail off.
"Your mother doesn't love you." Flayn spoke, certainty getting Eggman's attention.
"What did you just say to me, young lady?" Eggman asked. "My mother wasn't there to tell you that information, she's in a nursing home!"
"Actually, she told me that when I visited her bedroom last night." Flayn replied.
"You did what?!" Eggman and Seteth asked in unison.
"Who taught you such dreadful insults?" Seteth asked, concerned. "Please don't tell me it was one of our classmates..."
"Well, Professor Byleth usually says similar things about others, she's rather vivid in her language, for instance she once called Professor Casagranda a dirty h-"
"Language!" Seteth and Eggman called out in unison yet again.
{===}
Shulk tried to do a raw jump, but didn't seem to reach the mark, as the Smash Ball evaded his reach by a large margin. Min Min managed to hit it yet again with her ARMS. The Smash Ball didn't seem any closer to breaking than before...
The Smash Ball then began to hover towards the back of the cathedral, directly towards the Death Egg Robot.
"After it!" Shulk called, momentarily looking back towards Bernadetta, beckoning her forward before he and Min Min advanced.
The three rushed forwards towards the Death Egg as the Smash Ball continued to run away, seeming to be swaying in the wind if wind were even blowing in the first place. The Smash Ball stopped maybe ten feet away from the Death Egg Robot and hovered midair yet again.
As the all stopped, they could clearly hear Eggman's dialogue with Seteth and Flayn, "How would you like it if I said that about your m-" Eggman said before pausing. "The Smash Ball, I almost forgot!" the robot turned to the mentioned ball, and towards those approaching.
"Good job, both of you!" Shulk called to Seteth and Flayn as the Smash Ball hovered above. "Now, if we can somehow get one of us up there, we'll have a far stronger hit on the Smash Ball..."
"Not if I get it first!" Eggman yelled as one of the arms of the robot extended, hitting the Smash Ball, sending it flying even higher into the air.
"Well, now we've got an even bigger problem." Shulk sighed. "How can I get up there...?"
"Yeah, we'd need... a ladder, or a ramp, or... something." Bernadetta said quietly.
…!
"Bernadetta, say that again!" Shulk called out, turning towards Bernadetta as one of the Death Eggs arms collided with the Smash Ball again. Bernadetta froze up as soon as Shulk turned to her, but honestly, he didn't need her to say it again. He needed, a ramp, and he had a ramp, an arm-ramp rather.
All he needed was Eggman's attention, and he had a certain spirit friend that could probably help him out.
"Sonic, can you get Eggman to attack me?" Shulk asked, whispering.
"Hey Eggman!" Sonic called out, immediately popping out of the totally telegraphed hiding place.
"Can you stop interrupting me, I've got a good mojo going on here." Eggman explained. "Wait, you're still here?!"
"I'm still here and kicking, you rotten egg!" Sonic teased.
"Who's talking?" Bernadetta asked.
"I thought you would've given up, considering how amazing I am!" Eggman announced.
"Eggman, focus, remember the Chao Garden!" the robot pleaded.
"It's not like the Chao in the garden would want to see you in the first place, you're already ugly, not to mention your breath."
Eggman promptly replied, "My breath is amazing, I use mouthwash-"
But Sonic interrupted, "What, you use mouthwash every year?" Sonic asked.
"Every day!" Eggman screamed back.
"More like every hundred days!" Sonic replied. "Also, while we're at it, how's that evil lair of yours?"
"It-"
"Oh wait, we totally trashed it last week while you were asleep." Sonic laughed. "You honestly thought you got robbed, but if anyone tried to rob you, they would die as soon as they saw your home designing skills."
"Why you little-"
"I mean, your shoddy craftsmanship brings shame to all humankind if we're being honest." Sonic replied, nearly finished. "But what about you, got anything to say, Egghead?"
"..." the sound of what could be described as a boiling teapot began to get louder, and steam shot out of the robot's head before Eggman spoke again. "GET A LOAD OF THIS!"
The robot's arm suddenly launched towards Shulk, and he rolled back to dodge the first hit, a slight feeling of accomplishment inside of him as the robot's arms slammed into the ground, getting stuck, as per expected.
"Yes, it worked!" Shulk exclaimed.
"No, it worked..." the robotic voice sighed. "If they get the Smash Ball, I'm bailing."
"Alright, Min Min, follow me, we only got one shot at this!" Shulk told her, as he faced the arms dug into the ground. You go on the left arm, I'll go on the right, hurry!"
Min Min nodded as Shulk quickly made his up the right arm, a strange feeling of tension swelling within him, a feeling that this was his only shot at this, and it probably was. Shulk made his way to the top of the arm, a bit after Min Min, and she looked to him for instructions.
"Okay, grab me and throw me towards the Smash Ball, I'll do the rest." Shulk told her. Min Min looked at him funnily, and for a moment Shulk saw something... purple flickering in her eyes. It quickly subsided however, and Min Min, like oh so many times before...
Extended her ARMS.
The ARMS seemed longer than he remembered, but it was enough, as the arms wrapped around his torso, and quickly pulled him towards Min Min and giving him an honestly awkward view of her face. Semi-looking away, Shulk told her to throw him towards the Smash Ball yet again, making sure she got it.
She did, and rather quickly at that, tossing Shulk like he was a football towards the Smash Ball, and Shulk quickly regained his bearing midair, keeping a stable upwards position, holding the Monado out. Time then seemed to slow down, and Shulk began to think...
If he wanted to hit it, he had to do as much damage as possible in as little time as possible. He had to choose the Buster Monado art, which did the most damage compared to the rest of his useable arts, and if he did, he'd need to hit it dead on. Shulk tapped into the Monado's power, rapidly approaching the Smash Ball.
"Buster!" he called out, as he held his sword behind his back, ready to make the strike.
The Smash Ball was closing in, and Shulk, feeling that he was close enough, swung his sword overhead, directly forward, feeling the Monado break the air and feeling the energy flow through him as the Monado...
Hit the target, and the room turned dark.
{Fire Emblem: Three Houses Main Theme – Super Smash Brothers Ultimate}
Shulk landed, and was facing away from everybody in the room. Strangely, the room appeared to be darker than before, though a faint light was glowing around where he was standing. Shulk turned around towards the Death Egg Robot and it appeared everyone was staring at him.
"Your eyes..." Bernadetta said before falling to the ground, probably from pure shock.
"That's what happens when you collect the Smash Ball?" Eggman asked. "That's... odd."
Shulk didn't really have time to look in a mirror to see his appearance, but he certainly felt refreshed. Like his vision seemed enhanced, and his power seemed high, much higher than before.
"You're on your own stranger." the robot said as the Death Egg convulsed, rather violently at that, and something, it wasn't quite clear due to the room's darkness, jumped out of the robot, and as quickly as it appeared, it disappeared into the darkness.
"Uh... so you are not going to believe this, but this entire thing was a big prank!" Eggman blatantly lied as Shulk stepped forward. "Look, the camera is right over..." the robot turned lookkng for a camera, but clearly found none. "Whatever, I can still win this!"
The robot tried its best to pull its arms out of the ground, but it seemed to be too late already. Shulk approached, and knew what he had to do. He had used a Smash Ball before, though not recently, it was enough to remember what to do. He just had to... well, it was hard to explain, but he had to use one of his "special moves" whilst standing still.
"Alright Eggman, it's time for this to end!" Shulk called out.
"Get... out of... the ground..." Eggman muttered. "No, you can't do this... please, I'll change, even though I've said that thirty times before, it's true this time!"
Shulk held his free hand out, and with a rather determined look on his face, he let out a cry. "It's time for a chain attack!"
But instead of a white light surrounding him and his opponent and Dunban, Riki, and Fiora coming to help vanquish the enemy, something close happened. Instead, under Shulk's feet, a blue line of odd energy appeared, and before he could be certain what it was, the line expanded in various directions, one behind Shulk, and the others to the three other conscious people in the room.
A line connected Shulk, Min Min, Seteth, Flayn, and... Shulk looked behind himself and saw the line stretch out the door towards the reception hall. Was there somebody there? Well, Shulk didn't have time for remembering all that, and looked towards the Death Egg Robot.
"Well." Shulk said as the robot's arms were still in the ground. "What are you waiting for? Attack!"
They did attack. Perhaps it was the power of the Smash Ball, perhaps it was the power of RNG, or maybe it was just pure luck, but every attack seemed to disable more electronics, and each attack seemed to release smoke, each attack scraped more metal until Shulk felt even more power swelling up within him.
"Time to finish you off!" Shulk announced, as he held the Monado high above his head. "And to collect all of the spirits you've taken!"
"Shulk?" Somebody's voice asked, but that wasn't really... well, important was an effective way to say it.
"Now..." Shulk felt something else materialize in his hand, the spirit gun no doubt, Shulk pointed the gun towards the Death Egg robot like it was high noon. "TAKE..." Shulk held the Monado upwards in one hand, the Monado's blade shining bright. "THIS!"
Shulk slammed the Monado forward, making a direct impact with the robot's head, a sound like an anvil falling on top of an iron surfaced wailed out before Shulk held the spirit gun forwards, and without any hesitation whatsoever...
He made the shot.

So, on that day the light returned to that land, though in truth it never left,
Though, truthfully, I disagree with the notion that light even returned.
Perhaps the land would always be coated in darkness,
The darkness of corruption, secrecy, war, and many other things.
The darkness of deception, the darkness of... treachery is a good word.
Just give them a few months, it will all make sense very soon.

..!
Shulk landed, and looked in front of him to see... nothing? The Death Egg robot wasn't there, nor were his allies, or the cathedral itself. It was just a gray field, and in front of him was a bridge.
"Welcome." a voice behind him said. "Welcome to the fortress of..."
Shulk returned to the cathedral, and looked in front of himself, seeing the humbled mess of metal that was the Death Egg right there, split in half, but mostly intact, but some pieces were still broken off like one of the hands, and a part of the mustache. But it didn't seem to be active, thankfully.
"We did it!" Shulk called out. "That was a good result!"
"It appears that Eggman has petrified himself." Seteth commented, looking inside of the mechanical shell. Surely enough, as Shulk looked closer, there was certainly some sort of petrified figure, though it wasn't just petrified, it was almost like a statue, even grey in color.
"Huh." Shulk said, rather surprised.
"Well, Flayn, Min Min, and I will deal with this statue, Shulk please take Bernadetta outside whilst we deal with this situation."
"Alright, let me just uh..." Shulk peeked at Bernadetta's unconscious body, and after a few seconds of attributing the immense puzzle solving skills you would get from months of adventure, or perhaps even figuring out the battle system of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 without a guide, he picked up Bernadetta in his arms and carried her out the right entrance.
{Life at Garreg Mach Monastery – Fire Emblem: Three Houses}
Shulk made his way out of the right door and found himself about to head down a staircase. Shulk made a turn, then made his way down the staircase slowly, each step seeming dragged out thanks to the added weight of Bernadetta. He was about halfway there when he could make out the large area below, a large one, maybe 1/3rd of the cathedral's size if you estimated.
Shulk made another turn down the stairs, and eventually made his way to the bottom, setting Bernadetta down on the ground, waiting for her to wake up.
"Finally, it took you far too long to finish this battle." Sothis bemoaned as she popped out of the bag. "Anyways..." Sothis let out a yawn. "If you look just a bit further you may see something that interests you..."
"Something that might interest me?" Shulk asked as he walked forward. "What could possibly..."
Statues. Statues could possibly. Multiple statues lined up in a row, some heading up a staircase, some slightly leaning to the side, and one strangely upside-down. It was a statue of Claude that was upside-down, and the rest of the statues were undoubtedly students, and others that worked at the Monastery.
"Statues, yes." Sothis remarked. "I imagine you wish to return these statues to life yes?"
"Well, obviously!" Shulk responded.
"It is time I tell you of one of the last abilities you can do with spirits." Sothis began. "After collecting a spirit, you have the ability to release the spirit to its original world."
"But wouldn't that be here?" Shulk asked.
"Yes, and water is wet, isn't that obvious?" Sothis asked as if Shulk had just asked what's the number to "911".
"How though?" Shulk questioned.
"You have to select the spirits you wish to release, but to do that you must say the following." Sothis paused as if she expected him to take out a notepad or something. "You must say the following."
"...okay, what's the following?" Shulk asked.
"That's it." Sothis replied. "You must say the following."
"The following?" Shulk asked, tilting his head to the side.
"Now, say the names of the spirits you wish to release." Sothis explained.
Footsteps then piped up behind him, and Shulk saw Bernadetta who seemed to be doing better. "Uh, hello I think I..." Bernadetta looked at Sothis' spirit, then at the statues in front of them, looked Shulk directly in the eyes, and like Greece's GDP she fell down, smacking against the ground.
"I will never understand why Byleth likes that one so much." Sothis sighed. "Anyways, for time's sake, simply say you wish to release all of your spirits, considering keeping any currently would be kidnapping."
"Okay, I would like to release all of the spirits." Shulk repeated, the spirits in the bag beginning to rumble.
{Olivia Transforms (Final Battle) – Paper Mario: The Origami King}
The bag rumbled for another solid second when suddenly a multitude of spirits flew out, each sporting what appeared to be a different face, and each seemed to say something different.
"What's going on?"
"Oh hey, it's you."
"Why can't I feel my body?"
"I guess they won."
"Who won?
"Can you all stop yelling?!"
"I'm trying to sleep."
"This was a very uneventful day."
The spirits flew over Shulk, and one by one each returned to a statue, slowly bringing life to each one of them, the strangely proportioned students with oddly colored hair began to wake. But then, there was one. Eggman.
"..."
Eggman's spirit floated in view momentarily, and it seemed it he wanted to say something. It was too late for words however, and Eggman's spirit whisked away into the sky, disappearing via a twinkle in space.
"Is that it?" Shulk asked, looking up. "Sothis?"
Sothis wasn't floating around anymore, and Shulk looked down momentarily at the bag he had at his side, but his attention was quickly averted by the multitude of students waking up from petrified states.
"Huh?" one of them, Claude's voice asked. "Did... did we defeat them?"
"I'm... not sure." another one, that Edelgard girl said.
"I don't see any of the robots." another voice, that being of Dimitri said.
Well, as soon as they looked Shulk's direction, they would undoubtably ask him a million questions, questions like why there's somebody fainted next to him, why he looks so different, why does his sword look so strange, and perhaps even why Future Connected didn't live up to expectations.
"Sonic?" Shulk called, looking down, but seeing no spirit of a hedgehog anywhere. Shulk then looked up and saw at the very minimum half of the students looking at him like he had just spoken politics at the dinner table. "Hey." Shulk said.
Multiple instances of, "Hello." and "Hi'", and "Hello there" were heard, though the voices were gargled together.
"So, I bet you're wondering what happened just now, right?" some words were heard, but it was mostly just head shaking. "Well-" But, just as fate would have it, Shulk didn't have to lie about the quality of Future Connected, as instead somebody else interrupted.
"Get back here!" Seteth yelled as the pitter patter of footsteps got closer to Shulk.
"Woah, chill man, I'm on your side!" Sonic's voice said a blue blur sped past Shulk and stopped a few feet in front of the students, prompting a harsh shriek from nearly everybody besides Shulk and a few key others. "What, you've never seen a talking hedgehog before?"
"Shulk, get that Eggman!" Seteth called out from afar, seeming out of breath. "He's... really fast."
"Wait, that's not Eggman!" Shulk replied as Seteth ran down the stairs and made a stop in front of Shulk, his weapon brandished. "Okay, this is kind of hard to explain, but..."
"Don't worry Rex, I got this." Sonic said.
"it's Shu-"
One explanation later...
"And THATS what happened." Sonic explained. "If you want to know more about my Sonic the Hedgehog™ stories, here's my business card!" Sonic pulled out a card from somewhere and handed it to Seteth.
"SEGA?" Seteth asked, examining the card.
"Please, tell your friends, we're in desperate need of more investors." Sonic replied. Seteth looked over to Shulk for confirmation, and Shulk just shrugged.
"Very well, hedgehog, I accept your story." Seteth sighed. "Just never bring any of your friends here again."
"Not like I would come here in the first place." Sonic laughed. "Anyways, I need to ask this guy a couple questions." Sonic said, pointing to Shulk. "Excuse us for a moment."
{Green Hill Zone (Piano Mix) – Sonic The Hedgehog}
Sonic ran over to where the stairs were, and Shulk eventually caught up with him. "Alright, cross, listen up."
"It's Shulk." Shulk repeated, though to minimal effect.
"Shulk, Cross, Rex, what's the differences, besides game quality of course?" Sonic asked. "Anyways, you're starting a team, yeah?"
"Well, it's not a team persay, more like a group of individuals who happen to want to save the day, you know?"
"So, you're a team, got it." Sonic replied. "Alright, I know a thing about teams, not the Microsoft program, though."
"Microsoft?"
"They're partners with SEGA, don't worry about it, anyways I'm a skillful player on most teams, the speedy, cocky, awesome type who wins over the fans 50% of the time."
"Well, there's not really a signup sheet, so you can join." Shulk shrugged. "The more the merrier."
"Awesome, looks like Team Sonic just gained three new members!" Sonic exclaimed, pumping his fist in the air.
#38 SONIC THE HEDGEHOG JOINS THE BATTLE!
"Wait, Team Sonic?" Shulk asked.
"Well yeah, Team Sonic." Sonic said, sounding shocked. "What, you got a problem with Team Sonic?"
"No, I mean it's alright, but-"
"Hold up, hold up, answer my question buddy, you got a problem?" Sonic asked, getting aggressive.
Shulk held his hands up in confusion, "No, I just said-"
Sonic interrupted, "Cause if you got a problem, I could give you a reeeeal problem, buddy."
"What gives, why are you acting so weird?" Shulk asked. "I thought we were cool."
"I'm acting weird, yet you got a problem with Team Sonic, ok Folk, okay..."
"It's Shulk." Shulk corrected for the fifth time in a row. Maybe sixth? He lost count. "Get it right."
"Okay, literally whatever." Sonic replied, turning away.
Shulk spoke louder, "I just said-"
"Literally, whatever!" Sonic replied, even louder than before.
"Can you not-"
"Liiiiiiiiiiterrrrralllllyyyyyyy, whhhhhhaaaaatttttteevvvveerrrrrrr." Sonic finished. "Now let's go find your friends."
{===}
{Dragon Quest 11 –Sleepy Village, Camping}
Eleven was on some sort of mountain, a mountain laden with snow, one other person by his side, and both holding nothing but an apple. Eleven made a turn down the mountain and looked down at his hand.
The apple was gone.
The apple wasn't on the ground.
The apple was taken from him.
Who took the apple?
The person he was traveling with.
Eleven threw the guy off the cliff, and they guy dropped an apple.
It wasn't his apple though.
It was his traveling buddy's apple.
Eleven's apple was on the ground the entire time.
"Uh... excuse me... hello?"
Eleven opened his eyes and saw... uh... what's her name? The red head chick who Min Min was hanging out with. Uh...
"It's Hapi." Hapi said. "You looked like you forgot my name." Eleven got back up from the wall, it was slightly uncomfortable honestly, and looked at Hapi, who seemed rather happy about something, but he couldn't put his finger on it. "Anyways, your friend wants to see you at the Amiibo Gazebo, apparently it's urgent."
… Amiibo Gazebo?
"Yeah, I didn't think it was real when I first heard it either." Hapi shrugged. "Anyways, I'll bring you halfway there, it's not far, just near the garden.
Hm, okay...
Eleven followed Hapi out one of the side doors, the door to the left from where he was looking and noticed that nobody else seemed to be in the room when he woke up. Eleven followed Hapi out and headed straight down from their exit, finding lots of wood thrown together in a massive pile of lumber, a multitude of Eggman brand plushies strewn about.
"We're almost there, just give me a second."
One.
"Okay, we're here."
{Somewhere really dodgy – Yo Kai Watch 3}
Eleven looked ahead and saw a strange green floating orb under a tiny little circular quartz... well, Gazebo. There was... nobody around, however, which seemed rather off considering the spectacle.
"Okay Min, he's here." Hapi said. "Good luck."
That couldn't mean anything good.
Then, Min Min walked out from behind a tree, a tree that isn't actuallt there in FIRE EMBLEM THREE HOUSES, A GAME WHERE YOU CAN SCAN ANY FIRE EMBLEM SERIES AMIIBO AND GET AN AWESOME PRIZE. OUT NOW FOR 60 dollars USD.: DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD (Amiibo not with product)
Fire Emblem shilling aside, Min Min was there. Just standing there, like she does for most of her playstyle, though she wasn't spamming forward Smash this time.
"Hey..."
Eleven waved.
"So." Min Min looked around momentarily. "There's something that you forgot."
What? Something he forgot...? What could he have possibly forgotten...? Hm...
"It's over here." Min Min beckoned him over. "Come and get it."
Okay?
Eleven slowly walked over towards Min Min, a strange feeling that he was about to get kicked in his nuts, or punched in the face, or perhaps forced to watch Byleth's reveal trailer, the latter the far worse option. Eleven took another choice step forward and was perhaps five feet in front of Min Min at this point.
"Just a little bit closer." Min Min said, her eyes seeming to... flicker almost. Eleven got three feet in front of her, already five feet too much, and he waited.
…
"Here's your shield." she said oddly, handing Eleven his shield, which appeared to be real on first glance. "Hm, you didn't bring your sword..."
Well no, he didn't...
"Hm..."
Hm...
Why isn't she blinking?
Oh fuc-
{Unflinching Courage – Dragon Quest 11}
So, a rematch, eh? A rematch from a chapter with way too many grammar and spelling mistakes, nonetheless. I mean, what's quality control, am I right? Well that doesn't matter, he would be the one winning here. Definitely...
Going to win...
...yep.
She wasn't teetering this time.
…
He wasn't letting up.
"Wow, is this some kind of archaic ritual?" Hapi asked, probably standing directly next to him, but who knows? Who knows?!
All he had to do was focus.
Focus.
Focus...
Focus, focus, focus...
"Don't blink." Min Min said.
…
Go to hell.
Eleven looked to the side, Hapi was there, then back to Min Min.
"Don't blink." Min Min repeated.
…
…
Eleven's eyes were closing faster than the Eshop when a DLC character releases, he wasn't going to win this, but then he would be 2-0, an unfavorable matchup for anybody. He needed to get her to blink, and fast.
Uh...
Go, go, gadget... shield throw!
Eleven tossed his shield at Min Min's chest, and just as effortlessly planned thanks to his immense his puzzle solving skills, she flinched, and now he could blink!
"Is that tournament legal?" Hapi asked.
Street rules, probably.
"Cheater." Min Min said, crossing her arms.
Implying you didn't cheat.
There was a moment of awkward silence before Min Min spoke again. "Best two out of three."
You're on.
{Cease music}
But there would be no best two out of three, as they were interrupted. Not by the police for breaking the staring contest code of conduct however, but by a talking blue hedgehog.
"Hey..." Sonic said, coming to a halt next to them. "Uh... you two..." Sonic put a hand on his chin. "Wait, don't tell me, I know your names..."
"Why is there a talking monster here?" Hapi asked. "And why isn't that the strangest thing I've seen today?"
Sonic tapped his foot on the ground, then pointed to Min Min. "I want to say Mulan, but I feel like I'd get cancelled if I did, so... no comment on that one."
"Min Min." Min Min said dryly.
"Gesundheit." Sonic replied. "Anyways, hero dude, I forgot your name, so I'll just call you-"
"His name is Eleven." Min Min interrupted.
"Eleven? Like the number?" Sonic asked, to which Eleven nodded. "Eh, I know a guy whose names is literally Knuckles, so I've heard worse." Sonic chuckled. "Don't tell him I said that though."
There was silence after Sonic spoke, and the hedgehog didn't seem to be enjoying it.
"So, uh...how's the weather?" Sonic asked.
"This is awkward, I'd sigh but... no..." Hapi said, shrugging.
"Tough crowd, eh?" Sonic asked. "Well, anyways, Shulk wanted to see you dudes, so... follow me, alright?"
"Alright." Min Min responded.
So, they headed off, and like the universe was out of models for areas, they were stopped by Shulk.
"Hey, did Sonic come by?" Shulk asked. "Oh, he's right here."
"Yo, Sheik, your friends are boring, lets ditch em." Sonic said, probably prompting a kick in the face if the area weren't so crowded.
"Yeah, no." Shulk replied. "Anyways, we kind of need to find a way back to our dimension, because I'd rather not stay here and clean up."
"Agreed." Min Min said.
"Totally." Sonic replied. Eleven nodded.
"So, I guess we just go out the front entrance, yeah?"
"As long as we aren't stopped, I don't see why not." Sonic said, looking back. "C'mon, lets-"
But as luck would have it, it appeared that they couldn't leave just yet. As Seteth ran in, almost as if he were late for the Croods, premiering March 23rd, 2013.
"Shulk, Eleven, other two, we have an emergency!" Seteth yelled. "On the second floor, there's some sort of grotesque creature asking for something called a brochure."
"A brochure?" Shulk asked.
"I don't know what it is, but we request your help in defeating it." Seteth explained. "Follow me!"
"Alright, I guess we're having one more fight scene then." Shulk said, grabbing the Monado. "Let's go!"
{Fodlan Winds – Fire Emblem: Three Houses}
The four, Sonic, Eleven, Min Min, and Shulk quickly ran ahead in the Monastery, not passing anybody, and making it to where the bridge intersects.
"Up the stairs, hurry!" Seteth yelled as the four clambered upstairs like there was a Nintendo Direct in five minutes. They made it to the second floor which was packed with students and faculty, and probably housing a library or something, but that wasn't important.
"Out of our way, we have people to deal with this." Seteth said as multiple people made a path for them.
"Who are those guys?" a voice asked.
"Are they mercenaries?" another questioned.
"Don't speak so loud, they can hear you." another scolded.
"Why are their eyes so distinctive?" one questioned.
The four stopped in front of a closed door, and it seemed this would be there final test of endurance. What horrors faced them behind the door? A king? A football player? A Spaceman? A football playing king in space. Who knew?
"Alright, I don't know what this creature can do, but if you need assistance, just scream really loudly." Seteth said.
"Alright, enter on my go..." Shulk said.
"3..." Eleven held his sword to his side.
"2..." Min Min prepared her ARMS and prepared to extend them.
"1..." Sonic adjusted his gloves accordingly.
"GO!" Shulk yelled as he kicked down the door, revealing the horrible monster in full. A massive white figure, floating midair, with five long fingers... and... it was a glove... it was Crazy Hand... oh.
{The Light Realm (March) – Super Smash Brothers Ultimate}
"Sorry, false alarm!" Shulk told Seteth as the group stopped in their tracks. "We know this guy."
"You know this monster?" Seteth asked.
"Yeah, somewhat." Shulk explained.
"Hey, Ramen, Reyn, Sylvando, what's up guys?" Crazy Hand asked. "So, I went to that Brigid place, but they thought I was a monster, so I had to bolt." he explained. "Then I spent the rest of my time looking for you guys."
"Wait, this guy is how you got here?" Sonic asked.
Shulk nodded, "Yeah, it's a long story-"
"Don't care." Sonic replied. "Anyways, I guess we need to find other tournament fighters, yeah?"
"I mean, that could always work." Shulk replied. "We do need to defeat Dharkon, and that takes lots of manpower I imagine."
"Yeah, we'll need plenty more than four people if we want Team Sonic to succeed."
"Team Sonic?" Min Min asked.
"Yeah, you got a problem with that, pal?" Sonic asked. "Because if you got a problem, I can-"
"Anyway, you guys need to go somewhere?" Crazy Hand asked. "I know like four really cool location The Boss sent other people."
"Name them." Sonic commanded.
Crazy Hand complied, "Well there's this place called SmashIsle, it's in the Animal Crossing universe..."
"Hm..." Shulk sounded, imagining a scenic desert island getaway, though he also imagined his tools breaking far too early, and people berating him for time traveling. There also seemed to be the idea of overgrown plants, weeds even where they could hide. Perhaps it would get boring after a month, but it could be fun in small doses...
Crazy Hand continued, "There's the Mushroom Kingdom, it's where Mario hangs out..."
"Mushroom, eh?" Sonic asked, imagining a field filled to the brim with mushrooms, but for some reason they were all really annoying and made of paper, and the land was made of cardboard, but the cardboard had holes in it. Strangely, the cardboard didn't seem like an RPG, but still seemed fulfilling enough...
Crazy hand paused for a moment, then continued, "There's also this placed called... Mine Craft, it sounded kind of odd, and the boss said it was wayyy to dangerous, so I'd not go there."
Eleven imagined a world where you had to mine for resources and craft materials whilst surviving the night and harsh terrain, but his thoughts seemed almost too modded. You see, he imagined actually dangerous creatures, and this wasn't some kind of RL Craft. So, he scaled his thoughts to a more Vanilla approach of Zombies, and maybe skeletons...
"Finally, there's this place called the Alola region, Pokémon, it's like Hawaii but the place isn't covered in lava." Crazy hand finished.
"Alola?" Min Min asked nobody in particular. She began to imagine a nice series of islands filled to the brim with bustling villages and cities, one where she could go to the beach and relax, though part of her imagined horribly bogged down areas, endless tutorials, and very stupid puzzles which involved memorizing tiles. But it seemed alright for a 3ds game, whatever that meant...
"SO, which one are we going to?" Crazy Hand asked.
"HOLD IT!" Seteth yelled, the four immediately looking back to him. "Before any of you think about leaving, you do realize the cathedral is torn to shreds, yes?"
"Yeah, what about it?" Sonic asked.
"Well, it's your fault if we're being entirely honest." Seteth said. "If your tournament wasn't a thing, none of this would've happened, correct?"
Nobody dared to say anything.
"Well? Seteth asked.
"Well..." Shulk began. "You're not entirely wrong, BUT-"
"But one of you will have to clean up this mess." Seteth continued.
"Only one of us?" Sonic asked.
"Well, not only one but-"
"But you said." Sonic cleared his throat and put on a voice. "But one of you will have to clean up this mess."
"I say one, but you very well know I mean multi-"
"You said one!" Sonic insisted. "And, since this is Team Sonic, I have to stay, so you three decide." Sonic said, pointing to the others.
"What?" Shulk asked. "That's not fair."
"Stupidlosersaywhat?" Sonic asked, leaning forward slightly.
"Wh-" Shulk paused. "Nice try."
"Just choose already." Sonic said, walking over to Crazy Hand. "Take more than three minutes, and I'm out of here."
"Well, how do you guys want to choose?" Shulk asked. "If we're even going with his plan that is."
"I'll go with it." Min Min shrugged.
"You sure?" Shulk asked, getting a nod. "What about you, Eleven?" Eleven nodded. "Well... rock paper scissors for who has to stay?"
Shulk looked at Eleven.
Then Eleven looked at Shulk.
Then Min Min looked at Eleven.
Then Shulk looked at Min Min.
Then Min Min looked at Shulk.
The three held their hands out.
"Rock…" Shulk started, mentioning the Super Scissor Slayer, which has killed many great warriors of the scissor tribe over the years, thanks to their great defense. It would be the last time that one of them were seen for a while, so each slam into the ground seemed to raise tension like Shulk had gotten a quick time event correct at the beginning of a battle.
"Paper..." Shulk continued bringing up the flat, Tree Traveline Tribals, known for covering up rather rocky opponents with their flexible movements. Along with cutting up your fingers, of course. The second slam of the three hands, reminding them of a previous endeavor, except there didn't seem to be any blatantly noticeable grammar mistakes which could be snuffed out by a Beta Reader, except the guy making this is too much of a goon to go get one.
"Scissors…" Ah, Shulk mentioned the true choice of beauty, scissors! The bane of all paper tribal in the world, with the capability to slice and dice the skinny bodies of the paper tribe, blood spilling everywhere, but in a PG13 way of course. It was time, the moment they had been waiting for, the next shoot would determine who would stay behind, who would have to pick up rocks and experience the 100% totally epic© jobs ahead™.
…
"Shoot!" Shulk called out, sending out rock.
Eleven held his hand out, and he also sent out rock.
Min Min held out her hand, and sent out... Dragon?
"Uh..." Shulk looked at Min Min who seemed like she was contemplating something. "What's that supposed to be?"
"Safe travels." Min Min said, pulling her hand back.
{Staff Credits (Grand Prix) - ARMS}
{This song is a banger, just putting that out there. Listen to it fully. And buy ARMS.}
"Wait, you're really going?" Shulk asked. "But you have so much character development to go through."
"Nah." Min Min replied. "I have... things to attend to."
"Like what?" Shulk asked.
"Staring... well, contest-based... things." Min Min replied, completely turned around, but seeming s. "You wouldn't get it."
"But-" Eleven tapped Shulk on the shoulder and shook his head. "I mean... if she really wants to."
"See you two... wait." Min Min said. She walked out of the door and the two stood there in silence, waiting for her to come back in.
"What do you think she's getting?" Shulk asked. Eleven shrugged in response, so he just waited.
Min Min then walked back in, holding a suitcase behind her. "You forgot this." Min Min said, throwing the suitcase forwards, and it rolled for a bit before falling just in front of Eleven, who picked it up.
"Thanks." Shulk said. "But are you really sure about this?"
"Yes." Min Min replied. "Now, go save the world."
"It's not really the world, more like the multiverse." Sonic chimed in, getting a death glare from Eleven. "Ok, it was a joke, god..."
"Well, not a very good one." Shulk replied, walking towards Crazy Hand. "Anyways, where did you guys want to go?"
"Eh... that Alola region place sounds good enough." Sonic replied. "I need to cool off anyways."
"Alright, the Alola region it is I guess." Shulk said. "So, I guess we're all... Eleven?" Eleven was still standing there, looking at Min Min, and she seemed to be looking back. "Hey, Eleven we need to go..."
Shulk walked forward, though slightly to the side of both, not in their general line of vison. Their eyes seemed to be locked, and Shulk didn't know what to do here, so he just sort of leaned forward in their way.
"Uh, pardon me, we're about to leave." Shulk said as Min Min and Eleven flinched in surprise. The two looked at Shulk like he had said "I object." in their wedding.
"Yeah, we'll... pick up on this later." Min Min said. "Bye."
"Bye." Eleven said, waving.
So, the two walked over to Crazy Hand, and it seemed everything for a moment was... normal. They were heading someplace new, none of them were dead, it all seemed suddenly so blank. Like something was bound to happen in the next five minutes. But leaving felt so odd.
They'd been here for more than ten chapters after all, this was like home. But it was time to leave, and as such, there weren't much they could do. So, as our heroes exit the land of Fire Emblem: Three Houses and enter the land of Pokémon: Sun and Moon, perhaps they'll grow closer, perhaps they won't...
I mean, have you seen the last few chapters? Nothing but action scenes, LAAAAAAME. Like, come on, there's barely any unfun, jaded, generic scenes of characters talking about literally what just happened with no jokes whatsoever, like 0/10 smh. So, in a snap, they left.
{===}
Hm, that was honestly not bad...
Those heroes... well, that hero and the other ones were quite a show.
It's a shame we're attacking them, honestly.
"Mario..." I said. "About the defectors..."
"Hang on." Mario said. "I gotta call my brother Luigi, The Boss said he had to give me a heaping pile of spaghetti informationé."
Mario's phone was ringing, and he held his hand out towards me as he waited.
"Hello Mario." Luigi said.
And then, we left for the fortress.
So, Yo Kai Watch was mentioned here. It is a really underrated game series and had three games on 3DS. It also has a game on Switch, but it is a Japan exclusive because Yo-Kai Watch didn't sell outside of Japan sadly.
I will say that Min Min will inevitably come back. Simply put, I'm trying to introduce as many characters as possible before the second act, y'know? I will say though, there will be character that aren't necessarily playable characters as main characters, for instance, if Gen 8 doesn't get a rep that doesn't mean a Gen 8 Pokémon won't appear.
I'll be adding music cues to the previous chapters, but I won't be fixing the grammar because... just because. I'll be fiddling some stuff around and shortening author's notes accordingly as well.
Also, I'm going to be playing Persona 5 soon to get Joker's character down, as I really want every DLC character, Steve, Alex, Zombie, and Enderman included. Yes, Banjo, Terry, Byleth, the other Heroes, and the rest of the Fighters Pass will have semi-major roles each.
(:
Anyway, that's it, and I'll see you in the Alola Region when the next chapter releases!
Also review or I will find you in smash online and block your recovery with Minecraft Steve :((
