Chapter 9: The Jaguar has Awakened!
Emiya House
"..." Everyone said. After returning from Central Park, Rin was going to spend the night with us (for some reason), however, what they see can never be unseen…
Everything was a mess!
The table was split in half, the wall had a hole in it, like someone punched it. The hallway had shards of glass everywhere and the garden was just a pile of dirt and craters. In the dining room, Rin, Shirou, Sakura and the rest of the Servants were standing in front of Taiga… a Taiga that's hanging by the ceiling and wrapped in magic chains and fast asleep.
Right...
Everyone turns to a rough up Souichirou, Caster and Illya. "Can someone please explain what happened here and why is Taiga in chains?" Shirou asks trying his best not to be angry with them.
Illya gives Shirou a sheepish smile. "Weeeeeell, it kind of started like this…"
(Flashback)
Souichirou, Caster and Illya were waiting patiently for the others to return; drinking tea and reading books to pass the time. However, just as Caster and Souichirou were about to take their leave, they heard something… or someone.
"Nyahahahahhahaha!"
That's when all of hell broke loose!
Out of nowhere, laughter with lots of gusto rang throughout the residence. The trio noted that the voice sounded eerie familiar so they rushed to Taiga's room. Souichirou was about to slide the door open when the whole thing came off and slammed right in his face with enough force to render him unconscious.
"Jaguar Kick!"
The remaining two turned to the source… and didn't know whether to laugh or be impressed that she took out Souichirou in one blow. Before them was none other than Taiga Fujimura in her tiger onesie, her foot facing upwards showing that it was her who kicked the door in.
"Oh?~ Who are these three little mice?" Taiga said. Her eyes gaze upon them like a jaguar ready to pounce. "Is it time for my morning hunt?"
Caster and Illya began to uncontrollably shiver. For some reason, the sound of her voice made them feel… small. It's as if they were the prey and she was the predator.
"T-Taiga?" Illya called out.
"Fujimura-san." Caster said, trying her best to control herself.
"Taiga" looks up to meet their gaze, and that's when they realized something was off. Taiga's eyes were light-brown just like her hair, but now… they were red.
"I AM NOT A TIGER!" "Taiga" Exclaimed. "If anything, call meow an embodiment of great warriors, the avatar of the jungle! The beautiful forest goddess, Jaguarman!" She emphasises this by doing a backflip and striking a very flashy pose.
Illya and Caster sweatdropped… this is going to be a headache.
Tai- Jaguarman looks around for a moment taking notice of her surroundings. She goes around and around…
And around...
And around...
And around…
And around...
Until she stops and collapses, swirly circles replace her eyes. "Nya, nya~ this isn't the jungle. Where am I?"
(Flashback paused)
"That's it? She just kicked the door and got dizzy?" Rin asked with a raised eyebrow.
Caster looks at her. "Oh no… the worst had yet to come."
(Flashback resumed. Do do do do do do do do~)
Jaguarman then stops getting dizzy and begins to "familiarize" herself with the place. It wasn't a jungle, but it was still full of life. "Sooooooo… where is he?"
Caster raised an eyebrow. "Who are you talking about?"
Jaguarman's eyes narrowed at Caster. "That old bastard! The one who has power over dimensions and bound me to this stupid outfit!" Jaguarman growled, literally. She sniffs the room until she stands before the two. "You two smell delicious, where's the food!?" Jaguarman jumps atop of Caster and licks her face.
"GET OFF ME!" Caster uses magic to blow her away, but Jaguarman simply backflips and lands right on top of the futon.
"Ho, ho! Purretty lights!~" Jaguarman purred.
Caster gets angry and changes to her blue robes and summons her staff. "Leave that human immediately, wraith! Or you will meet your end here!"
Jaguarman's eye twitches. "I am not a rake…" she says out loud as she extends her arm. In her hand, a club of sorts with a tiger paw at the top materializes. "I AM A WARRIOR!" She dashes forward and tackles Caster. The result of their two staffs clashing creates a shock wave strong enough to blow the floor away.
"Kyaaaaa!" Illya was blown away.
Caster couldn't keep up with her attacks, each one seemed to come out of nowhere! The scuffle eventually led to the hallway… this is her chance! Caster jumped through the window and flew upwards, giving her the open field advance, but…
This also worked in Jaguarman's favor!
She leaped upwards, and with her agility dodged all of Caster's magical attacks with ease. "Jaguar Hammer!" She clenched her hands (or paws in her case) together and slammed her downwards with enough strength to leave a large crater with Caster right in its center.
Jaguarman stands over the crater laughing. "If you can't handle the heat, get out of the jungle!" Suddenly, she was sent flying through the garden and crashed into the kendo room.
"Great job, Berserker!" Illya cheered.
Sure enough, the towering mass of muscle known as Berserker was the one responsible for Jaguarman crashing into the dojo, having thrown its axe-sword straight at her. Though Illya was worried that Taiga could be severely injured, she could just use magic to heal her… if she's still alive that is.
Meanwhile, rubble began to shift and turn until the head of Jaguarman popped out of the pile seemingly fine. "This is getting interrresting, nya~" She smirked, her "ears" twitch with excitement.
Berserker took a fighting stance knowing full well that it wasn't over and, sure enough, Jaguarman leaped out of the rubble and landed a few feet away from him.
"Ho, ho! I didn't think I would have the chance to run into another deity here, and from another pantheon to boot!" Jaguarman exclaimed. She pointed her paw at the giant, "What is your name stranger?"
Berserker simply bellows as a response.
"Oh ho, I see. To think I would have the luck to meet the great Greek Hero himself! This is just so awesome, I'm a big fan!" Jaguarman's eyes have stars in them and started giggling like a fangirl getting an autograph from her favorite celebrity. She dashes to the wreckage and picks up Berserker's axe-sword with ease along with her club. "I wish to see your warrior spirit. Show me the might of the one who subdued the guardian of the underworld." She smiled and threw the massive weapon towards Illya but Berserker caught it just a few millimeters away from her face.
Jaguarman smiles and, without warning, appears right in front of Berserker ready to attack. Berserker responds by simply dodging out of reflex, his legend had made sure that he learned how to react out of reflex instead of wasting a second thinking about his actions. He raised his axe-sword, ready to attack while she was distracted, however, as he was bringing his weapon down… Jaguarman vanished!
"Afterimage!"
Berserker's head turned to the source only to see a tiger paw slamming him and sending him straight through the house wall. If Berserker wasn't angry before, he was now! His skin gains a red hue as he roars and charges straight towards Jaguarman. Jaguarman's body begins to glow with light and dashes towards her prey.
"Jaguar Dynamite!" The two deities collide, resulting in a dynamic explosion. When the dust settles Illya sees her Servant standing victorious… while Jaguarman is buried head-first into the ground twitching a bit. She quickly manages to pull herself out of the earth in a comedic way and then tries to find her balance… but fails.
"YEA! You betta cower in fear! I am the better cat, nya!" Jaguarman yelled.
It's obvious that she has a concussion.
She suddenly stops moving and falls again revealing that Caster used her staff to knock her out. "That's for ruining my nightly plans with Souichirou-sama, you stupid cat!" Illya didn't know what her "nightly plans" were, but there were probably not things for kids to know.
(Flashback paused again)
"Wait a second, if most of the fighting took place outside, then why is the living room such a mess!?" Shirou asked, he's kind of reaching his boiling point.
"It was shortly after Kuzuki-san regained consciousness…" Illya began.
(Flashback resumes [This is getting ridiculous!])
Souichirou held Jaguarman down while Caster strapped her with enchanted chains.
"Are you sure this will hold?" Illya asked, concerned that Taiga might wake up at any moment.
"Yes, these chains should be impossible for any being to break; even your Servant will have a hard time breaking them." Caster smugged. The wards and seals on the chains make them almost like a weaker version of Enkidu in the sense that they are almost impossible to remove. However, creating these chains have cost a large chunk of her mana and without any way to replenish it at this time, she might just disappear if she exerts herself too much.
"Is it done Caster?" Souichirou asked.
"Yes, this should hold for now…" Caster replied.
Illya lets out a relief sigh. "Let's just hope she doesn't wake up soon…" Illya uttered tiredly. Well, ask and you shall fucking receive because Jaguarman's eyes snapped open that very second!
…karma's a bitch!
"What is this? You think you can contain me? How unoriginal~" Jaguarman boasted as she uses her strength to break chains…
"…"
"…"
"…"
"Heh, heh, heh... a little help?" Jaguarman pleaded meekly, obviously she can't break the chains.
Everyone just looks at her with a deadpan expression; this is just embarrassing.
"Well then, seeing as you are incapable of putting up any resistance, we will have you retrained until the others return." Caster stated. She turns to Souichirou and he nods, now closing in on the trapped animal.
"If you think you have me at a disadvantage…" Jaguarman began as her eyes showed a fire that no one can put out. "YOU ARE STUPID!" She gets up from the floor and, in a swift motion, gets behind Souichirou and kicks him in the back landing on the table breaking it.
"You are starting to get on my nerves, cat…" Caster growls and goes for the offensive, however, Jaguarman kicks her square in the jaw sending her flying straight through the wall.
Jaguarman looks at her handiwork and smirks. "Humph, as I thought, all meow and no biiiiiiiiiii…" Jaguarman becomes drowsy and falls asleep. As she falls, something pins her to the ceiling by what looks like a small dagger. The camera pans to the left revealing to have been Illya who pinned her down. Honestly, if she hadn't suddenly fainted there she would have easily dodged that. "Now to clean up this me-"
"We're home" A voice announced.
'Goddammit…'
(Flashback ends. [No More Flashbacks, I'm done!])
"And here we are now." Illya finished.
Shirou rubbed his temples at the sheer stupidity of all this… but for some reason, he can't help but believe it all. Taiga has a habit of getting everyone involved with her into some weird shenanigans, whether intentional or not, but it somehow always trunks out fine in the end. She can be the luckiest person in the world but she's too much of an airhead to notice.
"Say Illya, what did you say she was calling herself?" I asked.
"Jaguarman… honestly, she called herself that so much that I think I got a migraine. " Illya rubbed the sides of her head.
"Well, I think you might have stepped into a landmine." I looked at Jaguarman hanging by the ceiling
"What are you talking about?" Caster asked.
I turn to everyone. "This isn't just some ghost possessing Taiga, it's a Divine Spirit and an old one at that. The Jaguar Man, also known as a Nagual, is considered a sort of Guardian Spirit in Central and South American mythologies. The Jaguar itself is considered a symbol of "war" and "death", an existence revered for a long time in the Central and South American civilizations of all eras, and it is said that, in the bygone days, it would often show its form to the world."
"WAIT, WAIT, WAIT! Are you telling us that Fujimura-sensei is being possessed by a god!?" Rin asked, having a hard time believe this nonsense!
I shrugged. "Pretty much, yeah."
"Will this be a problem in the future?" Souichirou asked.
I look at him for a moment and laugh. "Hell no! Here the thing about divine possession: the being will retain traits of the vessel it inhabits; meaning that while it is Divine Spirit, it will be no different than the actual person it is possessing." I explained though it seems some don't really understand what he means.
"What the hell does that mean?" Lancer asked
"Basically, Taiga will be Taiga no matter what. You all get it?"
"Kind of…" Shirou said.
I let out a defeated sigh.
"Anyways, I think there's been a lot of excitement for one night. We can continue this conversation in the morning," I turn to Souichirou, Caster, and Illya "and you guys are probably very tired after fighting a pseudo deity." He said.
"Okay, but where are we going to sleep? If it wasn't obvious enough the majority of the house is destroyed." Rin gestured showing how badly damaged the building is, "It would take a lot of mana to restore everything back to normal."
I smirked, "no worries, I got just the thing." I held my arm out and opened my hand.
A prince who wants to take back his kingdom
The Sands of Time
[Noble Phantasm deployed. Type: Anti-Unit]
Something falls in my hand. It was a dagger with a double-edged blade with glowing details on the blade itself. It has a blue and gold accented button of sorts located in the center of the dagger's hilt. The hilt of the dagger seemed to be made out of gold with a small opening at the center for an easier grip.
Overall, it was a beautiful dagger and looked more like a decorative piece rather than a practical weapon, but there was something… ethereal about it.
[Clever, but how are you going to protect them from its effects?]
'I already have something in mind.'
Caster sensed the power coming from that dagger… it's unreal! How did he acquire such a powerful item!?
Rin looked skeptical, "seriously, a dagger? How is a dagger going to fix this mess!? I mean it looks pretty but take this seriously!" Rin exclaimed.
"Trust me, you'll find that I am very serious" I told her, "but first I need to make sure you guys aren't affected."
I summoned a card and held it up high. "Magic Jammer!" Upon saying it, a magic circle appears under him and expands surrounding the group…
All except me.
"What is this? I've never seen a magic circle like this before." Illya asked.
"Don't worry, it's just there to protect you." I reassured them.
"What are you doing?" Rider asked.
I smile. "Something awesome, watch." I pressed the accented button on the dagger and it began to generate a blue glow. The world became diluted and time seemingly began to flow backwards as the damage to the room was undone returning it back to how it looked before and it wasn't just the room but the entire house got the rewind treatment as all the damage from the fight was undone. The glow on the dagger dimmed as everything went back to normal "alright it's done."
The magic circle disappeared and everyone was wearing an expression of complete shock as to what they just witnessed. Rin spoke what they all had on their minds "what the hell was that!?" she was on the verge to grab him by the collar and demand answers.
I showed them the dagger in all its splendor. "This is the Dagger of Time, and with it, I can stop, reverse, and accelerate time. The only downside it has is that everyone within its range is affected and don't remember what happened when time is tampered with." The dagger then disappears into motes of light.
"How many time manipulation abilities do you have!?" Rin demanded.
"Loads." I said coolly with a grin.
[We probably lost count]
Rin's twitches and stomps her way out of the room, all the while muttering some incomprehensible nonsense.
"Well, good night everyone." Everyone began to leave the dining room and the Servants returned to their spirit bodies. I, on the other hand, sat on the porch and looked at a near full moon.
"Is there room for one more."
I turn to the side and see the form of Rider materialize next to me.
"Rider? What are you doing here?" I asked.
Rider sat down next to me, "I want to thank you for everything you've done for Sakura. If you weren't here, things would have been different."
[Way different]
I shake my head, "it's nothing, I just couldn't afford to see you sad like that. You and Sakura both share similar backstories, and I can understand why you wanted her to be happy but you don't need to do it alone. I want to make you happy, too."
Rider allowed herself to smile. He was willing to help her, no who or what she was. Other than her sisters, no man has ever been this kind to her, yet he brought weird feelings inside her to the surface that she never thought possible.
He had brought her humanity, something she had forgotten a long time ago.
"Thank you." Rider leaned closer and rested her head on my shoulder.
[Damn! She is bold!]
My face turned crimson, this beautiful woman was leaning on my shoulder, and she was making herself comfortable.
I let out a smile, this is good, this is way too good. I saved everyone's future, killed a +100-year-old ghoul, and got the girl!
Heh, life is good~
There's nothing that can go wrong from this point.
Kotomine Church
In the altar, Kirei is seen finishing preparations for tomorrow's sermon, but that wasn't what was on his mind right now. The Foreigner-class Servant is proving to be quite a threat, being able to create a multitude of Noble Phantasms including one that served his connection to Lancer.
With the loss of Lancer, Kirei could no longer survey the city and spy on the Masters and their Servants. But on the bright side, the worm has been vanquished for good this time, and all of the remaining Servants are gathered in one place. Gilgamesh and the Matou brat should have no problem dealing with them.
Kirei smiles with delight. Soon… soon, all of his questions will be answered.
…
…
…
Something is wrong, he could feel it.
The air around him grew stale… too stale… it became hard to breath. Candles that were fully lit were now going out, despite there being no wind present. That's when he felt it! Something was behind him, something crawling on his back… not of apprehension.
But pure, absolute dread!
Kirei turns around to see what was there… and instinctively took a step back. Before him was… well, something. He couldn't describe it, or rather he can't describe it; it was like his mind refused to register the being before him. All that he could see was a silhouette of a man, complete black with no features at all.
"What are you?" Kirei asked.
Suddenly, Kirei begins to vomit, but instead of food or other bodily fluids, it was a black gooey substance. But it didn't stop there, the substance was also coming out of his ears, eyes, and every other part of his body. For the first time, Kirei Kotomine felt fear… the fear of death. As his vision fades, he could have sworn he saw Kiritsugu standing over him.
His vacant black eyes glaring down at him with apathy.
Early Morning
A woman is seen walking down the street on this foggy day. She then sees a silhouette in the distance. Upon closer inspection, she notices the silhouette was above her. As she walks closer, the silhouette becomes clear.
She screams!
Morning
I head to the living room to watch TV, despite the fact I never learned Japanese.
The benefits of being a Heroic Spirit.
As I entered the living room, I saw everyone was watching the TV with a look of terror in their eyes.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked.
"You need to see this." Shirou said and moved aside to let me see.
"Residents were in for a rude awakening today as they found a dead body hanging by an antenna. Police have identified the body as one Father Kire Kotomine, a priest from the local church in Shinto. The cause of death is unknown though the police are currently investigating. As of right now, all residents are advised to say home until further notice."
What the hell!?
Omake: Gukado
I look down and notice that my hands are tiny as hell, and my head is bigger than the rest of my body.
"I feel different…" I muttered as I walked down the hall.
Suddenly I bump into someone!
"Ooof!" I cried, "sorry, I wasn't-" I gasp as I see who it was I bumped in.
It was Ritsuka… or at least I think she is. She's wearing the female version of the Mystic Code Chaldea uniform and has short red hair with a side ponytail and an ahoge.
But what immediately drew my attention were her orange eyes that don't seem to reflect light and her blank facial expression with an open-mouthed smile.
Overall, for all intents and purposes, a "chibi" version of the female protagonist.
"Umm, Gukado?" I asked.
"So you are the anomaly?" Gukado asked, her childish voice seemingly betrays the atmosphere.
"Anomaly? Gukado, you were the one who-GAUCK!" Gukado grabs me by the face with abnormal strength.

"You aren't supposed to be here. All of the stuff you pull out will only get us in trouble with the administrators." Gukado whispered. That smile of hers wasn't helping one bit.
"Okay…?" I muttered quizzingly.
"Don't "Okay" me! I KNOW you know! You are just a welfare Servant made for FGO's 6th Anniversary, yet somehow you are the most broken game mechanic I've even seen!" Gukado exclaimed, her expression becoming more menacing yet still retains her signature smile, "0-Star Servants aren't worth a damn, that's why there's only one! Yet here you are, messing with the hierarchy with your bullshit!"
"It doesn't matter what rarity I am, the number of stars has nothing to do with trust." I told her.
"Oh big talk huh? Trust is just something the weak use to cover their weakness! Its what separates true gamers from the normies!" Gukado stated.
A tick mark appears on my forehead, "oh, you wanna go like that huh? I'll beat yo ass for that!"
Gukado smirks. "Ku, Ku, Ku! You think you can beat me, the only Servants we need in this Okame are beautiful Saberfaces, not some over the top edgelords like you!" She then summons Saber Lily, Santa Alter, and Rider Alter (Swimsuit version), "I'll show you the true power of rarity!" She sends all of her Servants at me.
"King Crimson!"
Gukado's field of vision glitches out and the next thing she knew all of her Servants have been defeated.
"No… how could three 5-Star Servants be beaten by a 0-Star?" Gukado asked, defeated.
I raise an eyebrow, "do you even bother to train your Servants, like, at all?"
(Flashback)
Frank uses a simple knife to give the Servants small cuts, afterwards they begin to disappear.
(Flashback ends)
Gukado's hands balled into fists, "you'll regret this! I will be back and when I do I'll bring even more beautiful Servants to beat you."
Gukado begins to glow and disappears.
….
I opened my eyes and stood up from my bed. I turn to my window and notice there was a rain storm outside.
"Phew, what a weird dream. I should probably stop eating ice cream before bed." I told myself as I got out of bed and went to the bathroom.
Lightning lit up the background, revealing Gukado on the other side of the window crackling like a madwoman.
Which I would have heard if the glass wasn't soundproof.
Noble Phantasm used:
Dagger of Time: Dagger of the Empress (A+) Anit-Unit Noble Phantasm
One of the three artifacts of time, the Dagger of Time has the ability to slow, reverse, stop, and accelerate time as well as many other time-related powers. It was created by Kaileena, also known as the Empress of Time, but unlike the others, its original purpose is shrouded in mystery. Like its two siblings, the dagger grants the wielder immunity over time manipulation and protects them from the Sands of Time and it doubles as a weapon. The biggest consequence to using the dagger is the very manipulation of time itself. Unlike those without an artifact or using other artifacts, the wielder of the Dagger of Time remembers the original and altered timeline of their world once the Dagger of Time is used. Even when they are not in possession of the Dagger of Time, they visibly realize when someone else is using the powers of the Dagger. As a result of tampering with the natural order of time, those who release the Sands of Time and use the Dagger of Time may be visited by the Dahaka, a guardian of the timeline meant to safeguard the intended order of time.
Enkidu: Chains of Heaven is the Noble Phantasm most trusted by Gilgamesh, even more so than Ea, and the "greatest secret" stored in the Gate of Babylon. It is a chain named after his closest friend, made to bind the gods so they cannot escape, making it one of the few Anti-Divine weapons that holds the concept of "reigning over the gods." The strength and durability of the chain grows stronger with the target having higher Divinity, but is no more than a tough chain to a target without Divinity like Saber, Assassin, or Archer. When used against a regular human like Shirou Emiya, he feels he has no chance of prying it off of him. Divine targets are completely held in place, allowing him to bind the "Bull of Heaven" that brought seven years of famine in Uruk. It does have some sort of limit, as even he is able to tell that the chain is not enough to completely bind the demi-god Heracles strengthened by Mad Enhancement.
Gilgamesh is capable of taking out the entire length of chain from the Gate of Babylon to use in conjunction with Ea when he is serious about fighting, or he can simply summon part of it from the Gate. The chain can be summoned from anywhere the Gate of Babylon can reach, elongate and contract without any shown limit, and multiple individual sections can be summoned at one time. The blade on the front of the chain is capable of acting as a striking weapon when launched at a high speed, and he can summon a single length to wrap around an opponent so he can drag them towards him by pulling it.
Once activating it as a Noble Phantasm, numerous segments instantly appear to wrap around the opponent in order to bind them for his projectiles. The opponent is given the status effect of being bound and having sustained damage inflicted on them. It is shown both descending from the sky and appearing directly from inside the Gate of Babylon. He generally binds the opponent's weapon, limbs, shoulders, neck, and abdomen, rendering them completely immobile. The chains continuously twist and tighten with enough force to attempt to tear off Berserker's head and bend his arms past their limits in a normally impossible direction. It appears to even bind the space around itself, and it is capable of rendering transportation ordered by a Command Spell, which is capable of magecraft close to that of True Magic, completely useless and nullified. It can be said to be a more troublesome Noble Phantasm to Berserker than Excalibur. He is able to pull off what is accepted by all as an impossible feat in breaking free of the weapon with the last vestiges of his strength. That doesn't actually destroy it as Gilgamesh later uses it again to grab the arm of Shirou.
Magic Jammer allows the user to negate all magical effects within a certain range. It surrounds the user or anyone in a magic circle which produces a barrier, effectively cutting them off from outside influence. However, it requires that the user discards something to activate.
