Hey everyone. Sorry if you may have received a second email about the two new chapters again, but earlier today, I didn't receive an email confirming of the chapters being live now. So, I put them back up after taking them down.

Anyway, without further ado, enjoy Chapters 11 and 12.

The human's eyes were fixated on the Greninja, who was unaware of the young adult's presence. Questions arose from within, in need of answers. Then, the Greninja unfolded its arms and stood up. Before it could return to its supposed trainer, it noticed Louis, focused on the creature.

"Louis?" said Azul.

"...hey...Azul," replied Louis.

For what seemed like an eternity, the human and Pokémon stared at one another. The training ground seemed to hush around them.

"Greninja!" called Zack.

Both individuals turned to face the voice from across Suzuki's training field. Zack was now approaching the duo.

"Yo Louis," said Zack.

The boy stepped beside Azul and met eyes with the young adult.

"I see you've met my Greninja."

What felt like a thousand icicles jabbing into his heart, Louis felt a cold chill rush through his body.

'W...what did he just say?' he thought.

The young adult shot a quick glare at the frog Pokémon before returning his attention to Zack.

"...how long has it been with you?" asked Louis.

"Since last night," answered Zack. "I offered to help train it and...it accepted."

The pupils in Louis' eyes constricted, as a small fire began to burn in the young adult's stomach.

'You have got to be joking!' he said, internally.

An emotional chasm of ice now grew between Louis and the Greninja, Azul. Snapping back to reality, Louis spoke;

"I...I see."

An eternity seemed to pass between heartbeats.

"Uh...Greninja?" said Zack. "I need to grab a few things. Can you wait for me here?"

"Gre," the Pokémon replied.

Zack nodded. He moved past Louis, opened the gate leading to the outside of the training ground and walked away. Once he was out of sight, Louis returned his attention to Azul.

"Hey, you got a minute?" he said. "I need to talk to you."

Louis and Azul moved toward an area hidden from the rest of the party. Once they were no longer visible, the young adult spoke first.

"Ok, I'll just get this out of the way and say..." he paused. "...what the hell are you doing?"

"What are you talking about?" Azul retorted.

"Zack said that you were on his team now. Why did you do that?"

"Does it even matter?"

"Yes, it matters! The rest of us would've been ok with you joining us again."

After a brief moment, Azul took in a deep breath, before speaking again.

"It's...not that easy to explain," he said.

Unsatisfied with the Pokémon avoiding the question, Louis thought of a different approach.

"In that case, you can answer me this," he said.

"Why are you suddenly taking part in Pokémon battles again? I thought you gave it up."

The Greninja stopped for a brief moment, thinking of an answer.

"To tell you the truth, ...I kinda missed it," answered Azul. "I still remember what happened at the tournament years ago. If anything, it helped inspire me again."

The young adult became surprised by Azul's answer.

"...really?" he said, still sceptical.

"Mm-hmm," replied Azul.

Louis halted the conversation and thought of the numerous possibilities surrounding the two of them.

'So...he wants to...start all over?' he thought. 'But...it doesn't explain why he's with Zack. Or why he...'

There was one more question that needed answering.

"...there's still something I don't understand, though," said Louis. "What were you doing in the old gym? And why did you break the trophy out of the locker?"

As Azul opened his mouth, about to answer the young adult's question, a voice called out from afar.

"Hey, Greninja! Where are you?"

It was Zack again. Azul made himself known to his current trainer.

"Nin-ja!" he called.

Before the Greninja departed, Louis spoke;

"We can continue this another time."

Louis stepped into view as Azul rejoined Zack. Before Louis could say anything, Zack and Azul departed from the training ground.

As they left, Louis made his way toward his team of Pokémon.

"There you are," said Marowak.

"I was beginning to think you had left us again," added Staraptor.

"Staraptor, knock it off," said Braixen.

Louis sighed.

"I could've sworn I saw Azul just now," Lucario spoke.

Startled, Louis hesitated to answer.

"...maybe," fibbed Louis.

The Pokémon's face twisted at the reply.

Then, the sound of a gate opening reached the party's ears. They spun and saw Miguel approaching.

"Here comes Miguel," said Taki.

"I wonder what job he got?" added Roy, curiously.

The man quickly joined the party of humans and Pokémon, slightly out of breath.

"So, how'd it go?" asked Suzuki.

"Really well," answered Miguel.

"What position did you get?" asked Feraligatr.

"Assistant Coach."

"So... you'll actually be assisting Coach?" inquired Louis

The young adult imagined a thousand hilarious scenarios involving the two.

"Yeah, I guess I will!" his father smiled.

Louis chortled.

"HA! That's awesome, Dad!"

"So..."

Miguel folded his arms and grinned proudly.

"... shall we get started?"

Well...that conversation between Louis and Azul went better than expected. Can't wait to see Team Venus train for the Battle Royale with Miguel's help.
