Chapter 10 : of date and sky
Another day passed after renata tell G about her being a sky. Renata was busy prepare herself after all she want to meet 'someone' and she really want to eat strawberry cake. All day renata smilling and giggling, she couldn't really contain her excitement until a voice stop her from her cra- ehem, I mean her daze.
"what're you giggling about, rena? " said G
Renata turn around to see who is, only to find G with 'what-the-fuck'face to her, "nothing~, I only thinking about getting a cake or two in town today"
"giotto said the same thing about him not being able to eat cakes while mumbling about 'crazy guardians' or 'evil-damn-banned-paperwork', honestly if he don't skip his job often he will be able to get free time" said G
'I doubt it, G' thought renata, "well, good luck helping him then, fratello~~ hmmm~~ I am thinking getting strawberry cakes in town's café"
G stared at renata with 'what-the-hell' looks and renata only raised her brow at his face.
"you know you and giotto said the same thing this morning, only he was unable because the work, really is this sky's thing ? always about cake" grumbling G
"what about sky thing to the MAXIMUM G ?" a loud voice snap us from our conversation, it's knuckle. From the look of it, he just done his morning jogging
"hello, knuckle! How your running this morning ?" I said
"it's good to the MAXIMUM" said knuckle
"good for you then" I said
"and G, what about this sky's thing to the MAXIMUM?" asked knuckle
Before G can answer that, I smile at knuckle brightly, " well, knuckle I am a sky and like giotto I like cakes. G wondering if that sky's thing or something. Ah, fratello I will be going then, bye knuckle!"
"wh-what? Rena! Where did you think you go ?" asked G
"in town's café, I will be back at afternoon" with that renata run not without hearing yell "RENA! I NEVER GIVE YOU PERMISSION TO GO OUT! RENA!", she only laugh at that.
'sorry, G. cakes was my priority and my cloud coming today~~' thought renata
Getting in front of gate, renata see something that blond. She blink and realise that's a person, as she come near she see giotto who look around as if afraid of something. She tap giotto shoulder, "giotto? What're you doing here? "
"hieeeeeeeeee, eh? Renata? I-I-I just walking around… yeah just walking" he look away from her eyes
Renata just raise her brow, " are you perhaps escaping something ?"
Giotto flinch, " umm no why ?"
"really? I get feeling you run away from your paperwork?" said renata
Giotto winced which confirmed her suspicion, not that renata blame him. She as tsuna in past life also like escaping paperwork and almost succed if not for reborn.
'yeah, paperworks was the ban excistence in every leader's including mine, guess I will help him this time, sorry fratello',"how about I treat you some cakes ?" asked renata
"cake?" asked giotto
"yeah, well… I don't exactly know where cafe shop in this town so how about you show me around like café and we can eat cakes there ?" said renata
"eeettoo… li-li-like a d-d-dat-" before giotto finish renata beamed at him and said " yup! A friendly date! Let's go! "
Giotto look down when she said that almost like a kicked puppy not that renata realise it, she just grabbed giotto hand and walk toward the town while giotto blushing like tomato.
As giotto walk with renata in town, they chatted together with giotto blushing like tomato, not that renata notice it. Some sparkles and flowers spark brightly at their background that even the town's people stared at them. Suffice to say, all young woman in town can only tear their eyes as their blond idol walk with beautiful pink haired woman. Even the man also feel some jealously when look at the blond man for getting such a beautiful date, not they will insult him or angry at him. Why? When he pratically can kick your ass and torture you as he was the town protector without even break a sweat.
(a/n : he won't as long as they don't do something inappropriate that is) , yeah a nice walk in town indeed.
When they arrived, renata immedietly order two strawberry cakes with lemon tea (a/n : I don't know if in the past they have it or not, just pretend they have). They eat their order while talking to each other once in while, renata now already in her second cake, that's blueberry cake. She eat happily and giotto couldn't help but smile at her
"is it good ?" asked giotto
"yes!" beamed renata
"good then" said giotto smilling at her
'she seem happy as she savour her cake, guess I will asked her to eat cakes together again later' giotto wonder why he feel so happy when he see renata, her smile always blinding him and make his heart flutter. When she see giotto staring at her, she thought giotto want to eat her cake so she split a slice of it and took it by her fork, she shove her fork into giotto's mouth. When she do this giotto shocked and almost drop his jaw if not because of fork and cake inside his mouth.
Renata watch as giotto chewed the cakes with heat rising in his cheeks, "is it good, giotto ?"
Giotto just nod at her with red face, 't-th-the f-f-fork?! I-I- th- ki- kiss?! Indirect one but still I just kiss her ?!'
"giotto!"
"!"
"are you alright ? your face is red!" said renata as she stood and touch giotto forehead to check if he has fever or not
"!. I- I am fine" said giotto
"you sure ?" asked renata worriedly
"ye-yes" suttered giotto while look away
"maybe the café too hot ? why not we walk outside then ?" asked renata
'it's not inside that make me hot!', "s-sure, why not ?" said giotto
They got outside and walk around aimlessky as giotto explain whichever part of town to renata, he don't know why but his intuition told him so and it's never wrong before.
"I hope it's not boring for you, renata" said giotto
"it's not, it's fun walking with you like this and giotto, it's rena" said renata
"huh?"
"call me rena" said renata
"!", giotto halt his walk and he feel his cheeks began to heat again, 'wha-what ? oh.. jezzz what's wrong with me these days honestly'
Giotto just staring at renata for minutes before he blush and said "re- rena"
"gezz … giotto what's so difficult with my name" said renata
Suddenly…
"GIOTTO!"
They turn around as they heard the shouts and see a pin- I mean magenta haired man with a scowl and 'I-pissed-of' face walking toward them.
"You damn lazy boss! You run away again!" said G
"eh?b-but-G I-"no buts! Go back now! You damn fucking boss! You must finish that damn paperworks!" G cutting giotto before he can said anything as he yank giotto shirt.
"G! l-let me go!" protest giotto
"no! you damn boss! You fucking back to mansion with me! and Rena? You go back before dark soon you hear me!" with that G walking back to mansion while drag his boss like a heavy sack potatoes
"sure, fratello!~" chirped renata as she waving her hand
Renata POV
I walk again after waving at fratello and giotto. 'Poor gio.. bless his soul', I mean I know how to feel about that damn paperworks. Suddenly I feel something, like a string pull me toward it. I walk toward fountain and see a beautiful young woman standing beside it.
Her eyes close and her pointail's hair swayed backward by wind, when I came close to her she open her eyes. She turn toward me, eyes flashed purple for a seconds. our eyes meet and understanding come to us. I smiled warmly to her as her eyes no longer held any coldness in it. Something within us 'click' like a bond was placed in its right places, where its should be.
"hello, long time no see kyouya"
"hn, tsunayoshi"
