Chapter ten:
"We found out how to deal with the Specter where we had it trapped." Jay informs Hikaru who slumps in worry at hearing this. "We don't have much information about what to do with a possession."
Briar fells a little bad at seeing Hikaru so upset about this. "We have some special magic books at home." She suggests which helps in perking Hikaru up. "Why don't we go to me and my husbands place? We'll look into things and see if there is anymore information that we can gather."
"It really helps with the progress to getting Kaoru back." Haruhi nods in agreement with this idea.
"Then I guess you all are coming back to our place." Jay slightly sighs as he glances away almost as if slightly annoyed by the sudden group of company.
"Hey!" Hikaru glares at Jay. "It is your fault that this mess happened in the first place." He snaps at the male who slightly turns to him with an unpleased look.
"I didn't say that we weren't going to help." Jay retorts back at Hikaru then Briar places a hand on her husbands own, while Haruhi nudges Hikarus shoulder to try to get him to back down.
"We need their help if we are going to save your brother." Haruhi reminds Hikaru quietly and Hikaru lets out a deep breath that sounds annoyed.
"I know." Hikaru assures her softly in which she backs off glad to hear that he understands.
"Well let us go." Jay helps Briar to her feet and stays close as they lead the group out of the woods.
The group gets out of the woods and follow Jay and Briar to their car.
Jay helps his wife into the driver seat making sure that she is good then shuts the door. "Go ahead and take the back seats." He tells the others as he heads around to the passenger side of the car. He wishes he could drive but being blind means that he can't. So he needs to let his wife drive instead.
The host club open the door and find that there is two rows of seats in the back. They climb in sitting in the spots trying to make sure that there is enough room for everyone.
Once everyone is in and the doors are closed Briar starts up the car.
Briar drives them along taking them to her and Jay's place while her husband just stares straight ahead even though is unable to see anything.
Hikaru looks down with worry about his brother as he hopes that they will be able to get him back to being the brother that he loves. He hardly even notices Hunny placing a hand on his arm since the other is much smaller than him.
"We will find a way to get Kao-chan back." Hunny tries to assure Hikaru who doesn't really respond to him. He frowns in worry at seeing this and turns to look to the direction that they are going in. He really does hope that they will be able to get their friend back, as he is worried about what might happen if they don't succeed in getting the other back to normal.
After what felt like too long for Hikaru they arrive at the couples home.
The home looks like a cute home with about three floors including the main floor, an upstairs, and a basement.
They all get out once Briar has parked the car in the driveway to the garage that remains closed.
Jay gets the wheelchair from the trunk and lets his wife sit in it who is glad to get off of her prosthetics legs. He wheels her up the ramp that his sister Holly and his brother Lion had helped in creating. He gets them to the front door as the host club hang back to let the couple get inside first. He opens the door having a general idea of where the lock is as they have lived at this home for quite awhile.
Once the couple are in their home the host club follow in after them using the concrete stairs to reach the front door to enter.
The inside of the home looks rather nice. The entrance way has a closet to the right with brown wood doors, a mat where the shoes are placed, and it leads to an open concept area with few walls, straight ahead leads to a wall with framed jay feathers hidden behind the clear glass, to the right is the living room that also holds the nice looking wood stairs with black metal bars for a railing to go upstairs with a mechanical chair to move up or down the stairs, beside it seems to be the way downstairs with the same type of mechanical chair as the one on the stairs going up, then to the left is the dining room, and just around the wall straight ahead there is a part of a kitchen that can be seen. The living room has a grey carpet while the rest of the space as far as can be seen has a dark wood flooring. The living room also has a two seats brown couch that looks like it could unfold to become a bed, a brown recliner, and another brown couch with three seats as well as one of the seats sticking out to stretch your legs out on. It also has a nice black TV stand as well as a decent sized TV, and against the wall facing the stair there is a tan brown bookcase with all sorts of books on it. The dining room has a decretive black carpet under the table and chairs that looks to have a design that is of a red rose when looking from above. The table and chairs look to be made of the same dark wood though the chairs have cushions built into them to make them comfortable to sit on. The ceiling has the lights that look like round light grey hockey puck like lights though they probably light up the rooms well, the walls are painted with a slightly dark white color, and there are pictures hanging along with some other decorations. Some of the pictures look to be of the couple as well as their family. Some of the decorations include some plants that look to be pinned as though they are there like educational, a clock with a typical face to it and black hands, though the outside rim looks like it is from the bark of a tree, and even some paintings of some cats.
The host club takes off their shoes to be polite as Jay helps Briar take off her shoes after taking off his own.
Jay wheels Briar further into the home putting her in the living room where the host club join them.
The host club sit down on the carpet that feels plush yet isn't any type of shag carpet.
Jay makes sure his wife is good then heads over to the bookcase feeling the books only to grab certain ones. He has memorized what they feel like and he takes them to Briar.
Briar looks over them and makes a sound to tell Jay that he got the right ones. "The answer should be in here. If not then the information will have been lost to history." She informs the host club who are eagerly listening to find out the information that they will need in order to save Kaoru.
In the meantime "Kaoru" and the Specters peek around the corner to the direction that the throne room is in. They see two guards standing on either side of the two grand looking doors to make sure that no one who might hurt the royal family will get past them.
Despite this "Kaoru" smirks to himself with confidence. He swears that they are so close to their goal that he can almost taste it.
