At Burp N Burger
"So Lincoln, what exactly is your relationship to Serina and also who are the others that those two girls Liz and Patty mentioned."
To this Lincoln ended up choking on a bit of his soda and Serina was trying to help all while Lucy had her arms crossed and had on a look that clearly said she wasn't going to give this up until she knew everything.
"Hack hack cough cough. Ugh. Okay. I'm good and honestly I should have figured you'd catch onto that detail. Heck any of our sisters would have picked up on it."
Lincoln's demeanor changed from one of shock to one of understanding. He clearly looked like he was dreading answering this set of questions, but he had no choice. He calmed himself.
"Lucy real quick what do you see here on both me and Serina."
Lincoln points to his left ear and upon closer inspection Lucy sees his earring again. As she trains her eyes on the peculiar earring she notices again the design and the shape. She then looks to Serina and her earring has the same design except a little thinner and skinnier. Hers even has a diamond placed in it. This is where Lucy begins to come to a conclusion.
"Hmm they are both wearing gold earrings, they are definitely not hoop earrings since those designs are wider than a standard hoop. The engravings and then the diamond. A gold hoop with a diamond?"
Her mind finally came up with the answer.
"A weddi… … …"
Lucy was unable to complete her thought as her vision suddenly became cloudy and she then collapsed onto the table from her seat. Lincoln at this moment looked mildly shocked and then placed his hand on her to see if he could stir her awake. When he got no response he went for her wrist. He felt her wrist and noticed a pulse. Lucy was okay, but it would seem she passed out again most likely due to her condition and everything she observed when Lincoln explained the situation to Lord Death and his son.
"Serina, she passed out again. I guess hearing all that earlier then finding out this detail plus still not being back at 100 percent was too much for her."
Lincoln then leaves the table for a to go box. Once he and Serina are all set they leave the restaurant with an unconscious Lucy in Lincoln's arms. All while he assures everyone she will be alright after some rest.
"So Lincoln were you expecting her to ask this so soon."
Serina wore a face that displayed a hint of laughter.
"Heh heh honestly Serina I was. She's my sister after all. Her and the others would have picked out a detail like this right away. If I'm being honest though I figured Luna, Leni and Lola to pick up on it first. Lucy is definitely another who would have picked up on this."
As Lincoln finished up his response Serina then grew curious.
"Hmm so then what now. Do you plan on sending her back to her sisters now?"
Lincoln didn't bat an eyelash as he responded with slight worry.
"Yeah not happening until she's back to full strength and until she wants to go back. You did realize right? She hasn't asked about going home yet. She wants more info and I plan to give her what I can plus I have to make sure the others don't make her blab about me. Ugh this may take a while."
The resolution left Lincoln sighing as his head began to annoy him with a small headache, which was amusing to Serina.
"Heh heh heh"
Serina couldn't help but laugh. She then leaned across his right shoulder as they headed back to the apartment. Once they arrived Lucy was then laid on the couch again by Lincoln while he and Serina then got changed again. This time into what they wore when fighting Valencio. Lincoln goes to the table and places down a laptop. After getting it all set up he begins recording a video of himself still masked thus muffling his voice as well as using a little trick to alter his voice. He needs to be sure Lisa won't be able to identify him by his voice no matter how many types of tests she decides to run on his voice. He plans to send this to the loud house so that they can have some peace of mind that Lucy is okay.
The video required some editing, but not much. Once it was all done Lincoln had it saved to a thumb drive and then put it away. As he was doing that Serina has been checking all the news updates to see if she can find a lead as to where they will find their next target. All the searching yet no news. After they were both done they looked onto Lucy seeing as how she was beginning to stir awake. Lincoln took that as his que to leave and deliver the flash drive. As Lucy spurred awake she realised she was back in the apartment and then looked around. Serina was there yet Lincoln was not. She was about to voice her concern, but Serina put her at ease.
"Lincoln went to give your family some news so that they would worry too much."
She wore a smile and Lucy couldn't help but follow suit. A few moments passed when Serina spoke again. She held her ear and again smiled as she caressed her earring.
"So you wanted to know about our relationship, but seeing as you passed out I think you've already pieced it together."
Upon hearing that Lucy then remembered Burp N Burger then once again trained her eyes on the earring. She remained conscious, but became awe struck. This continued for a few moments before she couldn't help but smile and blush at the realization.
"So are you guys already hitched or just engaged?"
Lucy was teeming with questions, but was unable to release everything at once. Last thing she wanted to do was cause a scene with her brother's wife? Was she his wife or where they just engaged. She wasn't sure and that look was plastered on her face.
"Heh heh heh engaged. Being a part of his little harem is fun."
Serina's face slightly blushed and as for Lucy her eyes had gone wide and her mouth was hanging open once again. She wanted to make some kind of comment but the words kept dying in her mouth. Seeing that reaction Serina continued.
"Heh heh heh honestly this is how both me and Lincoln figured the rest of you would react."
Lucy in a few moments regains her composure and then looks to Serina with desperation and worry!
"Please tell me he's not a two timer, a player or a…"
Serina raised her hand to stop Lucy from continuing.
"Lucy, you heard how he reacted to being called play boy right. Also do you really think your brother is stupid enough to try something like that. In the back of his mind, I'm pretty sure he knows what would happen if that was ever the case."
Lucy upon hearing that relaxed some and then mentally smacked herself for even considering that possibility, but not before asking her next question.
"How many and are they all engaged as well?"
Serina to her response blushed again and spoke.
"Four"
Lucy again was surprised and who wouldn't be. She just found out her brother is engaged to 5 different girls and that they are all okay with it.
"Okay…. I'm going… to …. Need some time to accept this."
Lucy was then given an understanding look from Serina, but she also saw that Serina was trying to contain some laughter. Well one thing's for sure she was going to be having more words with Lincoln when he got back.
Meanwhile on the road, the sound of a motorcycle filled area as Lincoln drove to his old home to drop off the flash drive so as to avoid his sisters doing something reckless. It didn't take long since he hit all green lights. As he was nearing the house he went over his plan one more time.
"Okay so I just gotta leave it in the mailbox. And quickly. Last thing I need is them jumping me. I gotta make this quick."
As Lincoln neared the house he saw the mailbox. He slowed his bike to a stop and then removed a letter from inside his jacket. He placed it in the mailbox and lifted the red arm on it so the family would know they had mail. As he was about to hit the gas his attention was grabbed by his old home. More specifically the lone figure in the living room staring back at him through the glass. Lincoln could not help but stare for a moment as he realized it was Leni. He made a knocking gesture to the mailbox then as Leni was about to motion back he heard the front door of the house get kicked open.
Out came Lynn at full force running to him. The look she wore was one of sadness and rage. Lincoln revved his bike and took off with Lynn hot on his heels. Luckily for him a gear change helped him leave Lynn in the dust.
"Sorry Lynn, but I can't have you guys knowing it's me under here just yet."
As he sped off Lynn eventually stopped running.
"Damn it… now how are we... going to find out… where Lucy is.."
As Lynn made her way home she was met by the sight of her sisters all looking at the mailbox. Lisa was removing something and to everyone's surprise it was addressed to them. They all headed inside as did Lynn and gathered around. Lisa opened the letter to see that a flash drive was inside. She quickly brought her laptop and inserted the drive. After accessing it a video was seen as the only thing on the drive. She hit play.
"Hello loud family it's a pleasure to meet you. This video is meant for your eyes alone. I will cut to the chase. Your sister Lucy is in safe hands. She will be staying with us until she has fully healed from her almost fatal poisoning, which could have been avoided if a certain genius didn't throw a smokescreen thus for a moment, causing us to lose our bearings. Thanks to that your sister was stung by a special kind of bee with a modified poison. If we had not acted quickly she would have lost her life. We will not hurt her and she is no longer at death's door. She just needs to rest. We will return her to you after she has recovered and decided to return. We ask that you be patient with her recovery. Thank you for listening to this message."
As the loud sisters continued to stare at the screen they were just shocked. Lisa was perhaps the most shocked since she apparently helped a bee with modified poison sting her sister. The fact she was close to death also worried the sisters although she was confirmed to no longer be in that state. The tension though was still high. Lucy was nowhere to be found and there was no way to track her down. In fact Lisa's drone tried following the motorcycle, but for some reason lost sight of it.
"So what do we do now dudes?"
Luna's question hung in the air. Lisa then powered off her computer and just stared at the drive. The others could see her squeezing her fists so tightly. From what Lynn could see if Lisa kept that up she would be bleeding so she gave a small chop to her head.
"Snap out of it Lisa!"
Lisa's looked up and ceased the tightening of her grip.
"Lisa it wasn't your fault you were trying to help us!"
Leni was first to try and console her.
"Lisa look according to what we just heard she made it out okay. For now that should be enough"
Lori was trying to calm her down as well as the others.
"Still though what happened out there. There is no way it was special effects I can guarantee that!"
Luan was now trying to figure out what they had all witnessed.
"I've never seen anyone move the way they did. Heck I've only ever seen moves like that in some of those shows Lucy watches?"
Lynn to was trying to comprehend the battle she witnessed.
"Well however it was done was amazing!"
Lana couldn't help but speak up about the fight and the techniques she saw.
"Lana is that all you have to say!"
Lola was now getting angry, but before she could continue a new voice spoke up.
"Yawn you guys are loud what's going on."
Lily had just gotten up from a much needed nap. After what she saw from Lisa's drone yesterday she's been worrying about what she saw and about Lucy since she didn't come home last night. Before anyone could answer her though Lily heard something. Something screeching?
"What? Wait is that."
Lily goes to the front door and then opens it. There she sees flying in place fangs. Lucy's pet bat.
"Fangs what are you doing outside. Shouldn't you be with Lucy?"
The others were about to comment on that before fangs landed and hung from Lily's arm. Attached to his leg was a small rolled up note.
"Oh a message from Lucy?"
She removes the note from fangs and then proceeds to read it.
"Dear everyone I'm alright so you can stop panicking now. I'll be staying over at Rabbit and Moon's place for awhile until I'm ready to come home. There's a lot I want to ask them. P.s fangs knows how to find me, but he won't lead you guys to me since I told him not to."
With that all eyes were fixated on Lily and the note before fangs flew off into Lucy and Lynn's room. Seeing that it pretty much summed everything up as to where Lucy was Lily turned to her siblings and said she would be getting back to her nap. She now had more to contemplate in her dreams and less to worry about.
"When you guys consider the fact that fangs only listens to Lucy when he's asked to deliver a message I guess that means that Lucy is alright."
Lana being the animal lover and knowing about the trust between her and her own pets she can tell that Lucy is just fine otherwise fangs would have appeared to be frazzled when the message was delivered.
"You guys Lana's got a point I'm worried about Lucy to, but we can't be up worrying about her. We may end up going crazy like that time we did on whether or not Lori was going to make it to thir…"
Lori quickly placed her hand over Leni's mouth
"I get what your saying Leni, but never bring up that day again."
Lori looked like she about to blow her top yet you could see her trying to resist the urge and deny the blush that was also forming.
"I know it's going to be somewhat impossible, but let's just continue with whatever we were doing. After all it's not like we can find her any faster. If we could Lisa would have already done it."
They all look to Lisa who still has her head down as she says no on having any leads. As they all then wonder what to do they can't help, but think back to that night. What they saw it looked to out of this world to be true. Then it hit them.
"Lisa you recorded everything right? Through your drones?"
There was a moment of silence before Lisa rose her head and then ran up the stairs. She came back with both drones. They were set on the table and a cord was run from her laptop to the TV. The video footage was then run. They reviewed all the footage of that night.
Meanwhile at the apartments. The roar of a motorcycle filled the air as Lincoln returned to his apartment complex. His bike was parked and he kept his helmet on. He walked back to his room and upon entering he was met by the sight of Lucy and Serina both on the couch and Lucy had a notepad in her hands. He removes his helmet and sits on the couch with Serina.
"Okay that should be enough for them to know you're okay for now. So what did I miss besides the obvious that you have more questions for me?"
What happened next was Lucy mentioning she had fangs deliver a message for her which was then followed by her bringing out a hair tie and thus tying her hair back to see her other eye which was not blue but instead it was yellow. Both Serina and Lincoln's eyes widened.
"So you do have the sight Luce. From what I can tell off the bat you've got a special kind that very few have. Huh that would explain why Valencio was specifically targeting you."
As he finished up his thought out loud Serina spoke up.
"Lucy you need to be careful with who sees that eye or at the very least you need to control it so that people won't see it so easily."
Lucy was about to comment before Lincoln started again.
"Lucy if you have that kind of sight then I think you have the potential to be a great meister."
Lincoln blinks his eyes and they begin to change color.
"I'm going to take a closer look okay Luce."
Lincoln's eyes glow and change to white. As he focuses he then gets a clear view of Lucy's soul. He smiles.
"To think my little sister would be so strong."
As Lincoln's eyes return to blue and red respectively he chuckles.
"Lincoln what did you see?!"
Lucy was somewhat uncomfortable with the gaze he gave her. What followed was a smack to the back of his head courtesy of Serina.
"You better have just been checking her soul Lincoln!"
Serina had a slightly miffed face to which Lincoln then brings his thumb and index finger to the bridge if his nose and applies pressure.
"I make that mistake one time while practicing and you won't let me forget it will you!"
Lincoln himself looked miffed until he calmed down. His attention back on Lucy.
"Lucy as I was saying you have a strong soul and you should be able to become a strong Meister heck with your soul you could also become a witch if you wanted to. A white witch though."
He saw Lucy appear uneasy until he mentioned 'white' witch.
"Honestly Lucy with that soul you could be both if you wanted."
Lucy was trying to process what she just heard and then just shook it off for later.
"Lincoln we can talk about that later what I want right now though are more answers."
Lincoln knew this was coming, but he didn't mind.
"Well fire away sis. I'll answer what I can."
From there Lucy looked to her notepad.
"Where is the academy that you've been attending? Death Weapon Meister Academy?" Lucy's first question didn't even faze Lincoln or Serina.
"It's out in one of the desserts. It's surrounded by Lord Death's soul though so it's protected from the scorching rays."
Lucy looked to Lincoln with a raised eyebrow. She then wrote down his response.
"What are the names of the others who accompany you and Serina?" Lincoln smiled "Besides Serina here the others are Shia, Linda, Celica and Tina." As Lucy wrote down the names she then asked her next question.
"When you told me the condensed version of what happened to you, what does the term that Calipsa called you mean? Dark art weapon?"
Lincoln cracked his neck and then spoke.
"A dark arts weapon is one that can shift into multiple different weapons instead of just a single one in combat. In the case of my friend Tsubaki she is also a dark arts weapon and she can change into multiple ninja tools."
More writing in her notepad as Lucy jotted everything down. She raised her head and then took a breath. She then asked her next question.
"What exactly is a Death Scythe?"
Lucy at this moment was somewhat shaking for some reason. To Lincoln though it was clear. Being called something with Death in the title no doubt would set off a few flags for people.
"Being a Death Scythe means that you have eaten 99 Kishin eggs and one witch soul. It's basically a title you receive after meeting conditions that have been laid out. It means that I'm a personal weapon of Lord Death himself. He could call me at any time for assistance, but as of now he is content with having Death Scythe with him right now. Oh also when you become a Death Scythe your powers grow and you start being referred to by your designation."
Lincoln simply stared as Lucy was jotting everything down then she flipped to the next page. He wondered just how many more questions she had?
"Okay that should do it for now."
Lucy puts her notepad into her new jacket's pocket and then walks up to Lincoln. Without warning she hugs him thus catching him off guard for a moment, before he returns the hug.
"You've really been through a lot Lincoln. Serina filled me in on some of the other things she and the others witnessed themselves."
She dislodges herself from him to then place her hand on his right shoulder. Lincoln comes to a conclusion. When she rubs it then runs her hand down his arm.
"I should have known that you would have asked Serina about any injuries I've had to deal with besides the ones I told you about in the story."
Lucy stopped rubbing his whole arm to then slowly go for his shirt only for him to gently lay a hand over hers and shake his head.
"Lucy you've been passing out a lot when you're hit with so much at a time. I'd like to avoid seeing you pass out again today."
The concern in his voice was enough to have Lucy retract her hand.
"I worry about you Lincoln."
Lincoln couldn't help but smile. He rose from his seat and hugged her.
"And I worry about you Luce. Including the others."
With that the hug broke and they all sat back down.
"Okay Luce I've told you about me so fair is fair. Tell me what I've missed."
Upon hearing that Lucy sighed and told him to get comfortable there was a lot to fill him in on.
Meanwhile at the loud house.
"Crescent wave!"
Video footage of the battle is being played on the TV while the Loud sisters minus Lily look it over along with notepads and popcorn. To which surprisingly no one objected to. As they watched they made sure to list anything they felt needed to be discussed which in turn led to each sister jotting down page after page even pausing and rewinding the footage. It was getting late and each sister including the older ones seemed to be dozing off. They had been at this for most of the day.
"Yawn. Okay everyone that should be enough for today. Everyone get ready for bed."
Lori's declaration was met with no complaints. Everyone seemed to be on their last legs. With help from each other they made their way to their rooms. One by one the doors closed until only Lori was left downstairs. She then looks to the window.
"I hope you're sleeping alright Lucy."
As she finishes her thought she closes the blinds and then suddenly gets a vibration from her pants pocket.
"Hmm… oh Bobby! He must be worried since I didn't call him after I got here! Oh and a text from Mom and Dad?"
She first responded to Bobby.
"Sorry Boo Boo Bear I did make it to my family's home okay. There's just something going on and now Lucy is spending the night at a friend's house. I should be back though in a few days when my parents come back from their vacation."
With that she sends the text and then looks at the one from her parents.
"Hi Lori good to talk to you sweetie. We're having an okay vacation, but we still can't help and worry about you guys. Also it looks like we ended up winning an expansion package so our vacation is going to be extended. We couldn't say no when we found out. I'm sorry to spring this on you and the others sweetie, but can you watch your siblings for another couple of days? If it's a deal breaker for Bobby he can come over as well. Your father and I think it's only fair since we're essentially keeping you apart for longer. Just one rule between you two. Stay out of our bed. ;) "
With that Lori looked over the message again and then blushed before responding with an okay.
"Well I guess I can invite Bobby over once he gets those days off from work. I should tell him to bring the truck and our travel bags."
With that she puts her phone away and ascends the stairs she enters the hallway and then steals a glance at Lucy and Lynn's room.
"Huuuh I hope you get better soon Lucy. She makes her way to her old room to get some rest herself.
The next day.
"Mmmm morning already"
Lori rises from her old bed to see how she wasn't the only other person to be getting up.
"Yaaawwwnnn oh hey Lori. How'd you sleep?"
Leni herself was barely getting up and she didn't look too good. If anything she looked like she had a ruff night herself.
"I'm okay Leni, but are you sure you're okay? It doesn't look like you were able to sleep too well last night either."
With worry present in her voice Lori looked to Leni for her response.
"I was just worried about Lucy. I'll bet everyone is."
It made sense to be worried they had no clue as to where she was. All they did know was that she barely avoided death. It was that chance of her death that rocked Leni and her sisters to their cores.
"Leni we can worry about her later. Yes I'm worried about her too, but we can't let ourselves fall apart. Not again."
Lori looked to the floor and Leni followed suit as she knew exactly who Lori was talking about.
"No we can't keep doing this. C'mon Leni let's get something to eat and check with the others. We still need to figure out exactly what happened last night."
With a nod from Leni they both got out of bed and went for the door. Upon leaving their room they saw each of the other rooms open up to reveal their sisters in similar rough shape. A knowing glance was passed along them all and they then began their morning routine. It brought a smile to Lori's face as the nostalgia kicked in of how things were when she still lived at home. After everyone had fixed themselves up for the day they got to work on breakfast and then convened in the living room with their notepads. They were simply waiting on Lisa to bring a white board down so they could put all their ideas together and make sense of it.
"Siblings, I've got the board. Lana, could you help me assemble it please."
Without a second thought Lana came and immediately began assembling the whiteboard.
"Aaaannnndddd done." Lana went back to her seat on the floor while everyone else just looked to the board.
"Okay everyone now let's see if we can figure out what exactly happened last night."
Lisa adjusted her glasses to make her point serious. It was time for them to make sense of that night.
Hello every sorry for the long wait. Life am I right. Anyway there is no way I was going to miss out putting a new chapter on this stories anniversary so hear you go. We got more on Lincoln's connection to his Meisters and this will no doubt be a challenge for me to write, but I though you know why not. I mean Spirit got married to Maka's mother so why not have Lincoln do the same. Except Lincoln will not be a player such as Spirit was.
Now Lucy's Eye and how it is special. Sorry you'll have to wait until I post that. what I can tell you though is that it is similar to what Maka's eyes can do.
Lincoln's multiple injuries he doesn't want Lucy seeing right now. I never said Lincoln was an unstoppable OP character so of course he's going to have made mistakes and received injuries while hunting for Kishin eggs.
Okay not much left to say except sorry for this chapter feeling like filler since the next target has yet to be located. Anyway I hope you all had a great holiday see you guys later.
