Hello, everyone. Your girl's back to finally update another chapter for you all. So sorry for the long wait, I'd to try and finished up some of my other unfinished stories. But now I'm back t write this chapter. I also downloaded Grammarly and went to fix the chapters. I don't own the canon characters as they rightfully being to their actual owners while I only own my OCS.
Warning: This chapter will having bullying in it.
Els watered the roses after telling Haru she would take of them while the latter went somewhere that she needed to do. The tiny goat girl was watering the roses near where the Drama club's headquarters. This actually gives her enough time to water the other flowers near her just before rehearsal began.
Els hummed while remembering that Bill is playing Adler tomorrow night since Louis chose the tiger as his replacement. The goat girl hopes that her fellow club member was doing alright since replacing Louis takes big shoes to fill.
Bill needs all the support he could get. It can't be easy to over Louis' place," Els thought as she walks over another flowerbed next to the roses.
However, while Els was watering the flowers, a few male zebra students pointed at her while shaking their heads in disappointment. Although they believed that Els didn't notice them, she did notice them while she was trying her best to ignore them as she was taking care of the flowerbed. She figures that the mean rabbit girl, Mizuchi, had likely made up some rumors of her going around and sleeping with a lot of the male students here.
Els couldn't help but pity Mizuchi since all she wanted was to keep her rabbit race from dying all out. But Els draws the line of feeling sorry for the girl since the latter is bullying her friend, Haru, for something she didn't do and now spreading false rumors about another student who friends with her.
The tiny goat girl reminded herself to hold her head high so other animals know they're not getting under her skin. Just like her mother had always told her to do. Besides, they're in high school and should know better when they hear rumors about someone.
"Looks like the little goat is taking turns watering the flowers like Haru," A familiar voice said behind Els, causing the latter to groan in annoyance.
Els turns around to see Mizuchi's two friends are now with her, likely to just torment her like they do with Haru.
"Don't they have better things to do instead of trying to make me and Haru-senpai miserable with every chance they get?" Els thought as the two mean girls began to try to bully her again.
"If I remember correctly, your name is Els, right?" The catgirl said with a smirk on her face.
"Yes, it is," Els said as she tried to walk away from them both.
However, the two girls wouldn't let her go before they could have their fun.
"Mizuchi-chan is really upset that her boyfriend doesn't want to spend time with her anymore. I wonder whose fault is that?" The raccoon said as she took the watering can from Els.
"Hey! Give that back! That's property of the Garden club!" Els said as she tried to get the watering can back from the two girls. Haru trusted her with that the latter could water the flowers.
Unfortunately for Els, both the cat and raccoon soon began to play monkey-in-the-middle with the watering can with Els trying to catch it before they break it. The tiny goat could see a few students watching this scene unfold before them, but they chose to let the two girls continuing to bully poor Els. But what makes this even sadder, they basically seeing this treatment on Els like she had this coming since her new closeness with Haru would bring this to her.
"You know, Els-chan. This wouldn't have happened if you didn't hang out with Haru," The female cat said as she stops playing their cruel game.
Els stop and clenched her fist in frustration. She was so tired of people telling her how having a friendship with Haru will bring nothing but trouble to her. They're the ones who are causing more trouble to her than Haru herself. Els wanted to say that they could go screw themselves if they think they're so high and mighty than her and Haru.
"There you, Els. The club's been wondering where you are?" Bill said as he suddenly appears behind the girls.
The cat and raccoon stopped their torment and dropped the watering can when they realize they're in the presence of a giant tiger and ran from Els and Bill.
Els placed her hands on her hips since she should have known those girls would run from a carnivore like Bill while not caring if he wanted to help them. But, she reminded herself she was used to be like that, too, so she has no place of judging them.
"Thank you for helping me, Bill," Els said.
"Huh? For what?" The tiger asks confusedly.
Els giggle a little. At least Bill didn't saw her as a helpless herbivore as most do. However, she felt awful for being late for the rehearsal. She even began to fear that having to be a member of two clubs indeed makes it difficult for just one animal.
"Come on, let's go. I don't want everyone to be out looking for you," Bill said as he took her hand and led her back to the Drama club while he picked up the watering can from the ground and handed it to Els who made sure it wasn't broken or anything.
Nighttime
It was nighttime and the time for the students to go to their dorms. Rehearsal went well with some setbacks of course. With Bill taking Louis' place in the play, someone had to take Bill's role as one of the elements. Legosi was chosen for the task to fulfill. However, the shy wolf was uncomfortable since that meant he'll be in the spotlight.
But nevertheless, Legosi decided to do it Both Legosi and Bill duel as if they're in a real fight, which made the other members question if they were really rehearsing or not. During their fake fight, Bill mentions the two of them not holding anything back once they start their fight scene tomorrow night.
"The two of us are carnivores. But at times, I don't understand him," Legosi said as he exited the building.
"Legosi," the gentle voice of Els calling out to him had pulled the gentle wolf out of his thoughts.
The kind wolf turns to his left to the little goat existing on the other side of the building and walking towards him. His heart skipped a beat when she came near him. The last time they were together during nighttime, it was when he tried to eat her.
Backing away a little from her, Legosi did his best on controlling himself around Els. He did notice she was holding a watering can in her hands as they began to walk together.
"Today was a great day today," Els said happily, trying to forget what happened early before she went to the rehearsal.
Legosi silently nodded his head while trying to be calm and not scare her as he did before.
"I know everything has been crazy lately, but know the play will be great," She said with a smile on her face.
However, deep down, Els was still nervous since not everyone will take kindly to the idea of carnivore taking a lead role in the play.
"Bill might acting tough on the outside, but I know he's scared," She said as she looks at the gentle wolf next to her.
Although Bill didn't act like he saw those girls bullying her, Els remembers that Bill picked up her watering can for her, and if she remembers correctly, Bill had just shown up after those girls stop their cruel game on her. He wouldn't have known that she had a watering can with her at the time and give it to her without even knowing that it belongs to the Garden club. Just like with Legosi, Els began to see there's more to Bill than she realizes.
"Legosi, can you please support Bill in your way tomorrow? He needs it now more than ever," Els asks her classmate.
Legosi felt his heart being fluttered by Els' questions. While he and Bill don't actually get along with each other, Legosi knew that the tiger needed all the support he needs for his role.
"Sure, Els-chan," Legosi said smiling.
Els smile back while she blushes a little when she saw Legosi's smile for the first time. It was cute and she wants to more of it as much as possible.
"I really like your smile. I wish I could see more of it," Els said while she stopped for a second.
"Els-chan?" Legosi asks as he wondered why she stopped.
"Legosi, I'm sorry I haven't gotten to know you much when we first started in the Drama club and thought you might have killed Tem. I really want us to start over again. That's if you want to give me a second chance, even if I don't deserve it," Els said as she looks up her classmate.
Legosi wanted to tell her that he's the one who doesn't deserve a second chance with her as he tried to kill and eat her that night. He couldn't ever forgive himself for what he put her through. He had a hard time talking to her since he feared that he might lose it again. However, Legosi had founded himself gaining much better in controlling himself as he kept talking to her.
"We should get going, Els-chan. The teachers won't like it if we're still up this late," Legosi said to her.
"You're right. See you later, Legosi. Goodnight," She said as she walks away from her.
Legosi looks up to the half-moon and wonders if he would ever tell her the truth. He knows that he needed talk to her if he does manage to have a friendship with her. But he knows that she might want nothing to do with him after she learns the truth.
"I never would think that Bill felt this way about the play. Maybe I should give it my all like he said?"
Thank you everyone for reading this. Someone commented me on what if Bill took goat blood instead of rabbit. Now that would be very interesting to read, wouldn't it? Hopefully, you guys will like it.
