"Is… is that All Might?" Ectoplasm looked at the man named Snipe. He was for once not wearing his mask, staring at the screen in a mix of horror and what seemed to be fear, but may also have been just shock. Just staring at the skeletal figure they had grown somewhat accustomed to. "Snipe-sensei?"

"Ah'm fine." English: he was most certainly not fine. Ectoplasm sat by Snipe - the TV was turned off, Snipe looking up at the ceiling. It was silent for several minutes before Ectoplasm worked up the courage to ask,

"Are you sure?" Snipe scoffed, pressing his hands against his thighs, looking down.

"I'm not scared Yagi's going to get beat. He's too much of a stubborn mule to let himself get killed in a fight, even against that much of a monster. But… what's going happen to him now? He's got nowhere to hide the fact he's hurt: people have all seen it. So his only real option is to retire now." Ectoplasm was worried for the Symbol of Peace even if Snipe wasn't: it didn't look good. But if Snipe said he would be fine; Ectoplasm would believe him until told otherwise. He said soothingly as convincingly as he could muster with all this fear in his heart,

"All Might will be fine. But are you going to be okay? You seem bothered by something." Snipe waved him off with a 'no worry'.

"I'll be fine. You worry too much for a kid." Snipe fell silent, Ectoplasm taking a seat next to him. Snipe suddenly exclaimed, "Hell, I'm old." It made Ectoplasm frown, replying,

"You're not that old, sensei." Snipe scoffed in disbelief, pointing at Ectoplasm with a water bottle,

"40 years of teaching, and 43 as an active hero? I am ancient, kid. I was a 3rd year here when Yagi was in his 1st, you know."

"No, I didn't. You don't often talk about your school years." Snipe seemed surprised.

"I thought I did… ah, well." Ectoplasm said in interest, scooting closer to Snipe,

"Would you tell me about them now? So you and All Might shared a year at UA?" Snipe nodded, smiling fondly.

"Yeah. I was one of the best troublemakers UA's ever had, barring the Rooftop Boys, of course. I met All Might for the first time while I was serving detention with the PE teacher." Ectoplasm frowned, trying to imagine Snipe as a child doing anything bad enough to warrant detention. It was nearly impossible for him as Snipe continued with a hint of sadness, "I think I had shot a spit wad at a perv, or a chick who hadn't got the hint a guy wasn't interested. Something like that, at least: it's been too long for me to remember exactly. He drove me nuts: I thought he only cared about the attention with how flashy he was all the time. The PE teacher thought it would be good for him to go against someone long range, since he's melee and all. Added difference was I was about as flashy as a brick, and he was like a bonfire: you could not ignore him. Teacher thought it'd be funny." Snipe chuckled. "It was hilarious. I wrecked his hide so bad that day…" His smile faded slightly, laughter disappearing. "But he didn't get mad like I was expecting. He just kind of laughed and smiled at me, just promising me he would get stronger and that he would be watching me for ideas on how to handle someone like me again. He was so energetic all the time." Snipe looked down at his hands. "Now that punk-kid's retiring because his body can't keep up with his spirit. Missing a stomach, half his guts, coughing up blood nonstop. And he's 2 years younger than me." Snipe gestured to the screen with a frustrated sigh. "Blue Jeanist is seriously hurt, at least missing a lung, maybe dead, and he's just now an adult. We've got students injured out the wahzoo, Hawks being the 3rd top hero while still at his college years… the world's getting dangerous for younger and younger heroes-not just heroes, but people in general! And I don't have a time-reversing quirk, kid." Ectoplasm frowned as Snipe looked thoroughly depressed. He'd never really given much thought to Snipe's age. Despite the fact he had been one of Ectoplasm's own teachers when he was in school, he just kind of considered him immortal, immune to aging, untouchable by time. Snipe look up at him, tears forming, "I don't want to see kids like Yagi, Jeanist… or any of our students get hurt, Ecto. I don't think my heart can take much more of this kind of pain, them being targeted constantly. It's not good for their health, and it's definitely not letting them be kids like they should be able to be. You lost your legs, Ecto. Your legs. No one should have to go through that, much less a bunch of kids. I just don't know if I've got what it takes to help them get ready for what they're going to face out there." Ectoplasm winced, looking away as he tried to think of what to say.

"I don't know about all of that pain you're talking about: I don't think it's going to go anywhere. But as for your age… I can't think of anyone more able and a better choice to teach them, not bringing up your spirit and sense of humor." Snipe chuckled weakly. "I mean, All Might has a good sense of humor, but I've never met anyone who can get Recovery Girl to crack up until you. That alone makes you more qualified to teach than any other hero out there."

"Aw, kid…" Snipe rubbed his neck, a slight reddish tint reaching his face.

"No, really. I can't imagine UA without you and your experience and personality. It's like imagining tea time without Nezu: it just doesn't fit." Snipe laughed lightly, rubbing his eyes dry.

"Thanks, kid. That makes me feel a lot better. Now, I've got to get to work. I'm tired of finding out all this intel second hand…" Ectoplasm watched the man walk off, muttering to himself, and made a mental note to start getting him tea daily, just to show how much he appreciated the man.
