Chap 11:

Kakashi sat on his table meditating, reminiscing about what happened last night. He had to figure out a plan to ensure Sakura's safety. He would have to tell Hokage, since the matter has crossed lines beyond return. Before he could take a sip of his morning coffee, a knock was at the door. Kakashi let out an annoying sigh, as he walked over to greet the unknown stranger at the door. He opened the door, "Hey Naruto, what's up?"

"You tell me? Kakashi, Sasuke left me this note stating that he was leaving town, and to come to you to see why?" Naruto raised the note, waving it in Kakashi's face. "So what is going on? Where's Sakura? I went to her house and she was not there."

"I guess he left, knowing that finally consequences will happen." Kakashi thought to himself.

"Come in Naruto." Kakashi invited him in by moving to the side. " Sakura is here."

Naruto stared at Kakashi in disbelief, "why is she here?"
"She came over last night and she is resting right now." Kakashi reached over and grabbed another mug. "Coffee?"

Naruto nodded as he awaited his cup of coffee, preparing himself for the information he was about to receive.

"Well, Sakura came over last night in bad shape. It appeared that Sasuke was about to kill her and she escaped." Kakashi handed Naruto the cup, then took a sip of his.

Naruto was dumbfounded and was surprised by the news he just received. He knew Sasuke was aggressive at her birthday party but did he ever think he would try to kill her. Were they happy?

"I will let Sakura tell you the rest when she is ready but she is going to stay here for awhile…" Kakashi stated interrupting Naurto's thoughts. "So Sasuke left?"

"Yea… but it doesn't say how long or where too." Naruto replied, unable to finish his coffee. "So, how is she?"

"I am fine." Sakura replied, as she approached the dining room table, where an oversized t-shirt with the icha icha paradise logo on it. "Kakashi you need to wash clothes, this was the only thing clean in your drawer."

Kakashi blushing from embarrassment, "I will do some laundry today."

"Hey Sakura." Naruto stood up and walked towards her, reaching his hand to brush a random strain of hair behind her ear. "Are you sure you are okay?" Naruto stared at her bruises on her face and the scars on her arm.

"Naruto, I will be fine. I promise." Sakura assured him as she noticed the worry in his eyes.

Naruto always had a soft spot for Sakura, and loved her at one point but never acted on his emotions. He ended up moving on and falling in love with Hinata but he always had a special place for Sakura. So seeing her in such much pain, hurt him to his core. He blamed himself for not noticing the signs.

"How long has this been going on?" Naruto asked, breaking the silence between them.

"Basically our whole marriage." Sakura lowered her head, ashamed at the weakness she felt she was displaying.

Naruto was in total shock, "The whole marriage? Why did you tell us?"

Sakura shook her head side to side, "I don't know. I thought he would change and I didn't want anything bad to happen to him."

"Well in speaking of him, Sasuke left this note and left the village." Naruto handed the note to Sakura.

"He left?"

"Yes, he left. So we need to make sure you stay safe and that means telling the Hokage." Kakashi interjected as he stood up from his seat.

"Yea, I know. I was planning on telling her today. Kakashi, could you come with me?" Sakura asked, giving him a hopeful look.

"Of course Sakura." Kakashi placed his hands on his shoulders. "We can go once you get ready. Do you want any breakfast?"

"No, I am not hungry. I will just get ready to meet with Tsunade." Sakura nodded and walked away, giving him a smile as she entered the bedroom.

Naruto watched their exchange and waited for Sakura to go to the room.

"Hey, Kakashi… Do you have feelings for Sakura?"

Kakashi turned around and stared at Naruto. He could tell he was being serious and that he wanted to know his intentions with her.

"Yes. I do. I love her and I just want to see her get back to her normal self." Kakashi replied.

"Okay, but please, don't hurt her. If you are going to love her, love her." Naruto continues to stare at Kakashi, " Please, she deserves happiness, and I want her to be happy."

Kakashi raised his hand towards him, to offer a handshake, "I promise, I will do right by her. I will love her."

Naruto looked down at Kakashi's hand and gave him a shake. "Alright, Let me get going, I see that Sakura is in good hands. Hinata is going to want to know where I am at." Naruto then left and closed the door behind him.

Kakashi knew that Naruto had once had strong feelings for Sakura and that hearing this type of information was hurting him to his core.

"Alright, I am ready." Sakura announced as she put on some clothes that she tried to fit that were in Kakashi's wardrobe.

"After this meeting, we can stop by your house and get some clothes. Cause you are going to wear all of my icha icha paradise shirts." He chuckled as he slid on his sandals. "Lets go."

They finally arrived at the office and informed Tsunade of every detail that happened. Tsunade tried to suppress her anger as she let Sakura inform her of last night's events and the news about Sasuke leaving the village.

"So Sasuke left…That is wise on his part but I will send out Anbu spies to see if there any clues of where he might have gone too." Tsunade snapped her fingers and immediately 4 Anbu ninjas arrived. " Go look for any whereabouts of Sasuke Uchiha, and if you find him, bring him back alive so he can face punishment. Understood?"

All the ninjas nodded and immediately disappeared.

"Kakashi, can you give me and Sakura a moment? I need to ask her something." Tsunade asked as she watched Kakashi step out of the office. " Sakura… I need to ask you, when he raped you, did he use protection?"

Sakura shook her head, " No. but to be honest this is not the first time he raped me."

Tsunade eyes widened, "So you can be pregnant now?"

"Yes Hokage-sama" Sakura nodded. " Sasuke doesn't know it can be a possibility. Do you want me to take a test?"

"Yes and then again in a month." Tsunade ordered as she called a nurse over the intercom.

A nurse immediately arrived, "Yes Hokage-sama?"

"Take Sakura in a room and conduct a pregnancy test. Please inform me of the results." Tsuande instructed as she watched Sakura and the nurse exit it out of her office. "I pray to God that she is not" She thought to herself.

Sakura and the nurse arrived in the first available room.

"Alright Sakura, you know what to do, pee and the result will come up immediately." The nurse stated as she handed her a pregnancy test.

Sakura grabbed the test, and went to the restroom. Her mind was spinning in circles. What if she was pregnant? She thought to herself as she proceeded to take the test. She inhaled as she saw the lines appeared. "Two lines mean yes and one means no… Please let it be one line, let it be one line." She prayed as she saw only one line appeared on the test.

The nurse knocked on the restroom door, "Ms. Sakura are you done?"

Sakura smiled as she finally exhaled, "Yes, and it's negative."

The nurse smiled as she saw Sakura opening the door, with pregnancy in hand.

"Perfect, You still have to take another test later on if you are late. I will tell Hokage- Sama. You still have Kakashi waiting for you." The nurse grabbed the test and bowed.

Sakura bowed in return and walked out the room, noticing Kakashi leaning against the wall, with his icha icha paradise in one hand and the other hand in his pocket.

"Kakashi!" Sakura stepped closer to him, "Thanks for waiting for me."

"No problem, so what did she need to ask." Kakashi asked as he placed the book in his pocket.

Sakura paused taking a deep breath, "She wanted to know if I was pregnant."

Kakashi faced her, "Well, are you?" He asked nervously, anticipating the answer.

Sakura shook her head side to side, "No, but I will have to check again if I am late, since the last time was last night."

Kakashi noticed her disposition shifted and gave her a hug, "Well we will worry about that when it comes. Just know I will be there the entire time."

"Thanks Kakashi." Sakura smiled, "Can we stop by my place and get some clothes?"

"Sure."

~7 weeks later~

"Sakura, I think you should take a test." Kakashi looked at her, handing her a cup of tea.

"I'm scared, what if I am pregnant." Sakura asked, stroking her fingers through her hair. "I can't be…"

"Well the only way to find out is to take it… Didn't the nurse give you another one just in case?"

Sakura nodded yes, "I will go take it now." Sakura stood up and went to the medicine cabinet and grabbed the extra test.

She followed the instructions and held her breath, repeating the same mantra she did last time, praying it will work. She saw the first line. She repeated her little mantra even harder, "Let it be one, let it be one, let it be…." She stopped as she saw the second line appeared clear as day on the stick.

Kakashi sat at the table wondering what was taking so long so he decided to knock on the bathroom door, "Sakura… you ok?"

She opened the door and with tears soaking her pale face, "Kakashi… I am pregnant."

Kakashi saw that she was distraught and saw the fear and sorrow in her eyes.

"What am I going to do?" She asked.

Kakashi removed his mask, and lifted one of his fingers to her face, stroking her tears, "Sakura, I will be here with you. You will not raise this child alone. You will have me and your friends."

Sakura smiled and gave Kakashi a huge smile, "Thank you."

He soon pulled her away and looked into her eyes, "Why don't you move in? You are always here all the time and I have extra rooms for the baby."

Sakura was stunned, this man was willing to take her and her unborn child in even when the child was not his.

"Are you sure?"

"Of course, I told you. I love you and I will always be here for you." Kakashi smiled as he gave her a peck on her lips.

Sakura beamed as she kissed him in return, "Okay, I will move in."

Kakashi smiled, he promised himself that he will be there for her and for the child. He will be the father the child needed and the man Sakura needed.
