It was the final night of summer, and everyone is down at the beach, for the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies. Lewis releases a small, wooden candle-boat to the water. It was a tranquil sight seeing the swarm of luminous jellyfish passing by Pelican Town, before heading south for the autumn. Their warm glows on the water's surface were reminiscent of stars in the night sky above.

As the night turned into a new day, the natural landscape became a solemn orange and light brown. The aroma of hazelnut filled the air, and the ground began to invite the scattered, fallen tree leaves. Josh opens a letter in his mailbox; it was from Pierre, informing him of a never-before-seen special deal at the shop.

"Greetings, Josh. It seems like you're getting quite close with a few people in town. If you would like to take the next step with someone you're interested in, be sure to give them one of my fabulous, colourful bouquets. Right now, I'm offering a special deal, selling them for only 200g, just for you! Thanks again for being one of my best customers! From Pierre."

He subsequently walks toward the farm coop, petting his fully-grown chickens, and enters the coop building, collecting his chickens' freshly laid eggs.

"Now would be a good time for more animals," he thought to himself.

He asks Robin to build a barn for him; the carpenter eagerly takes on the new project. A few days had passed, and Josh visits Marnie's ranch for some baby animals, inviting a new cow, goat, and sheep to Furwood Farm, as well as having a duck join the coop with his chickens. It became increasingly important to ensure they were all well-fed, so Josh plants more grass starters in front of the barn and coop, along with a backup of hay bought from Marnie, for the winter that was soon to come.

Once he had finished, Josh walked to town through a more scenic route, passing by Marnie's ranch and Leah's cabin in the forest just outside of town. Upon arrival, he sees Clint standing outside Emily and Haley's house, pacing back and forth, perspiring a little.

"Hey Clint, what's going on?" Josh asked.

"Oh, hi Josh," he replied, his eyes dilating. "I've been thinking about what you said at the saloon, and I've decided to come over here and ask Emily out."

"I'm overjoyed," replied Josh. "But don't stand right in front of her house, you'll come off as desperate. You just gotta act natural."

Josh and Clint walk a short distance away, as they look at each other, making it seem like they're having a casual conversation. A minute passes, with Clint anxiously looking at Josh through each passing second. He then begins to panic.

"Uh, I don't think I can do this," said Clint.

"Clint, you've already made it this far," stated Josh. "You can't back out now."

Clint looked like he wasn't convinced.

"Okay, I didn't want it to come to this, but if you don't ask Emily out, I won't upgrade my tools anymore!" asserted Josh.

Clint was shocked at what Josh said. Business was slow lately, and he needed the cash.

"OK Josh," said Clint, reluctantly. "I'll follow through this time."

Emily leaves her house, on her way to Pierre and Caroline's place for the women's weekly aerobics class.

"Hey guys," greeted Emily.

"Hey Emily," replied Josh.

"Hi Emily…" said Clint, his eyes becoming wider. "You look beautiful today."

"Thanks Clint," she replied, with a stunning smile.

"Well, I was wondering…" continued Clint, his cheeks glowing a bright rosy hue. He then pauses unexpectedly. Josh gives Clint a gentle nudge; trying to make his action look inconspicuous.

Clint gulps nervously. "I've got two tickets to the Grampleton Carnival tomorrow… would you like to go with me?"

"Oh, how did you get tickets to that? I'd love to go, sounds fun!" replied Emily.

"Great, I'll pick you up tomorrow!" said Clint, elated.

"See you then, have a great day, Clint," said Emily, before continuing her walk.

"Way to go, Clint!" congratulated Josh. "I hope to hear stories of your dates with Emily soon," he joked.

"Thank you Josh," said Clint. "I guess all I needed was a little encouragement. If there's anything you need from me, I'd be happy to help."

Clint walked back to the blacksmith, bobbing up and down with a cheerful tune. Josh decides to stop by Pierre's shop to pick up one of those 'fabulous' bouquets.
