Sorry it's been soooo long since I've updated. I truly love your work! I've just been super busy and have had little time to read.
What I have to say is...WOW! What you wrote here was fantastic! Like OMGoodness I had lots of fun reading this.
Your creative writing never ceases to amaze me. Making the A-class make a bet to win against E-class in a paintball match is rather original and even the upper-handed tactics Asano used to try and win is sooooooo like him!
The dialogue for each character is spot on, especially Asano's. A lot of the times I've read fanfics where he acts out of character (though I don't blame them for it is hard to get it him right) by making him either too ruthless or exaggerating his slight soft side. You've found his happy medium by making him lose with dignity and not getting his revenge by taking apart in the rematch (which he wouldn't cause he's too smart for that.) Though the dialogue was brief, since this was a paintball match it makes perfect sense to let the actions do the talking.
Making them lose in the second round was a nice touch, making it more realistic and even proving that National Aces make mistakes and lose every now and then.
I absolutely love your OC John and find it nice you keep his personality consistent throughout all your stories (especially his romance with Toka cause she is more of a side character of the original story, so giving her the spotlight adds the the uniqueness of your stories).
The only thing I have to say about this is your interesting choice in shooters. Nagisa and Chiba I can understand since they are more of sneaky surprise attackers rather than close combat students. However, Sugino and Maehara were noted to be more of those close combat types (especially since Maehara said it himself). Once I thought about it though, since Sugino is a person for competition and Maehara is a major supporter for his friend Isogsai, I guess it makes sense.
Anyways, all in all I loved this fun file and look forward to reading the rest!

[Monster Truck Rally]
It was the Yearly Tokyo Monster Truck Rally and John got tickets for him, Toka, Nagisa, Kayano, Karma, and Manami to watch it from the Mud splash area. Toka loved Monster Truck rallies and when John got her tickets, she was overjoyed. She kissed John all over his face after he showed her the tickets. John was happy his girlfriend was happy to see Monster Trucks. As they waited in line, John overheard how one of the Monster Truck Drivers was hurt and couldn't drive. They had to have that truck in the Rally. John then walked up to the people in charge and said, "Do you guys need a Driver?" The host looked at John and asked, "Do you know how?" and John nodded his head and said that he did. But he was lying, he had no clue on how to drive a Monster Truck, but he was a quick learner. The Owner then said, "Well, if you have anyone who wants to come along, bring them along." John smiled, ran back to his group and told them the news. Then Toka said, "But John, you've never Driven one before."
"I know that, you all know that, but they don't need to know that. They really need this Truck in the Rally." John said to those who were listening, who sighed before coming out of the line and they followed the owner to where the Monster Truck was going to be. When they got there, Toka was in awe, she was standing close to an actual Monster Truck up close and Personal. After getting his suit on, John climbed into the Monster Truck and quickly took a look around at the controls and said, "we're good to go!" The owner nodded his head and signaled to John to roll out, which he did. The Owner then showed Toka and the others special Seats as the Announce said, "Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to the yearly Tokyo Monster Truck RALLY!" The crowd cheered in excitement as John rolled through the dirt revving his engine. The announcer then said the first event was the Car Crushers. The Announcer then said, "The Truck to crush fifty cars wins. Truckers, get ready to DESTROY!" John looked out the window at the Monster Truck driver he was competing against point at John and make a sign that said, "You're going down boy."
John responded by revving his engines. Soon the countdown started and when everyone shouted Go, John sped ahead of his opponent and started to crush Cars before the opposing Driver managed to get his truck moving. As the timer counted down, the score was constantly in John's favor with him being a few cars ahead of his Opponent. Soon the score was 49-49. One last car left for both John and his opponent. With the timer almost out, John increased his speed to pull in front of his opponent and managed to crush the last Car and won the round. The Announcer then said, "WINNER! I have just been informed that the original Driver for that Truck was unable to partake in the Rally and got a Substitute. The Substitute Driver's name is John Bertrand! Let's give him a nice round of Applause." and the crowd cheered as John did a few Doughnuts. Then John's Opponent, who has never lost at anything before, slammed his Monster Truck into John's Monster Truck, scaring Toka and making her scream. But John got control of the Monster Truck he was in and he stared at his opponent who was in front of John. Silence, except for the engines of the two Monster Truck, filled the Stadium as the Spectators watched John and his opponent star each other down.
John and his opponent inched closer as they revved their engines before John's Opponent floored his Gas Pedal to go at John, who backed up fast before turning to the left at the last second, making his opponent see a ramp. He swerved to avoid it, but his right wheels went up the Ramp and his Monster Truck was flipped onto its side. Soon the Cops showed up in the Rally and arrested the driver for aggravated Assault. John then hooked chains to the side of his opponent's monster Truck and used the Monster Truck he was driving to pull the flipped Monster Truck back on all four wheels. John then drove to where his friends and girlfriend were and said to Karma, "You think you can drive the other Monster Truck?"
"I don't see why not, am I allowed to?" Karma said while looking at the owner, who said, "Right now, I'll make an Exception." Karma then hopped onto the Monster Truck John was driving and rode it to the other Monster Truck as The Announcer said, "Due to the Original Driver being arrested, we have another Substitute, let's all give a big round of Applause to Karma Ackabane." The crowd cheered as Karma waved to them before getting in the Monster Truck. The next event was to see who could jump over the most cars. The number started at 10 cars and they both jumped over them easily. Then five more cars were added and again, they both jumped over them easily. Then another five were added, and Karma came close to hitting one, but he managed not to, but John Jumped them all perfectly. Then another five were added and Karma made the jump, but John didn't as the back wheels landed on the last car. As the Rally went on, both Toka and Manami were cheering loudly for their respective boyfriend.
At the end of the Rally was a race. John and Karma looked at each other and they nodded their heads. They both knew what the other was thinking and that was, 'May the best driver win.' Then the whole crowd shouted, "3...2...1...GO!" John and Karma put the pedal to the metal as they raced each other around the stadium for 30 laps and they were neck and neck with each other all the way. Then it was down to the last lap and it was a Photo finish. After a few moments of discussing, the Announcer said, "The judges have spoken and it's a TIE! Both John and Karma get to split the Hundred thousand Yen prize!" John and Karma were surprised at the amount of money they would be able to split but they cheered in unison. At the end of the Event, The owner thanked John and Karma for driving the Monster Trucks. The Owner then said, "I also could tell people who have never driven Monster Trucks before from people who have."
John sweatdropped before he said, "Oh well, sorry for lying. I just wanted to help you guys with the Rally." The Owner smiled and said, "No worries. I'm just glad you both were able to substitute the drivers. Well, Hopefully it doesn't happen next year." John and Karma nodded their heads and the group said goodbye to the Owner and they began the walk home with Toka and Manami on their respective Boyfriend's back.
