The next day, the Avengers had traced Ultron to an illegal weapons dealer named Ulysses Klaue.
"Don't compare me with Stark, he's a sickness!" Ultron shouted as the team entered Klaue's headquarters.
"Ahh, Junior, you're gonna break your old man's heart," Tony announced their entrance.
"If I have to," Ultron replied.
"We don't have to break anything," Thor said
"Clearly you've never made an omelet," Ultron retorted.
"He beat me by one second," Tony announced. Hermione rolled her eyes. They should be saving the world, not thinking of clever remarks.
"Ah, this is funny, Mr. Stark," taunted the blur from the Hydra base - Pietro Maximoff. "It's what, comfortable? Like old times?"
"This was never my life," Tony replied bitterly. Maria Hill had briefed the team on why Pietro and his twin sister, Wanda had joined Hydra. Terrorists using Stark Industries weapons had bombed their city, killing the twins' parents and giving Wanda and Pietro a lifelong hatred of Tony Stark.
"You two can still walk away from this," Steve told the twins.
"Oh we will," Wanda replied.
"I know you suffered," Steve said.
"Captain America," Ultron boomed. "God's righteous man, pretending you could live without a war. I can't physically throw up in my mouth."
"If you believe in peace then let us keep it," requested Thor.
"I think you're confusing peace with quiet," Ultron countered.
"Uh-huh, what's the Vibranium for?" Tony inquired.
"I'm glad you asked that because I wanted to take this time to explain my evil plan." Ultron's bots and the Maximoff twins attacked the Avengers.
"Shoot them," Kalue ordered his goons.
"Which ones?" one asked.
"All of them!"
"Guys, is this a code green?" Bruce queried.
"Thor, status?" Steve asked.
"The girl tried to warp my mind. Take special care, I doubt a human could keep her at bay. Fortunately, I am mighty," Thor replied.
Hermione felt some unfamiliar magical energy while Thor was talking. She turned the corner intending to search for the source, but instead, the newest Avenger found herself in the Hogwarts courtyard. The school was in ruins. Standing in front of her, were Hermione's teachers, classmates, friends, and teammates. Everyone appeared upset and disappointed.
"This is all your fault!" Harry shouted. "You betrayed us! You betrayed the entire magical world!"
"I can't believe I was ever friend's with a know-it-all like you," Ron snapped. "This is all your fault!"
"I don't understand," Hermione whimpered. "I don't know what happened."
"We should have known better than to trust someone so closely connected to Loki," Thor announced, completely ignoring her.
"But i-it's not my fault," she stammered.
"You've failed your classes," Professor McGonagall said. "You will not be invited back next year."
"I aced every test! I got over 100 on every assignment," Hermione protested.
"You have caused the exposer and destruction of our world," Dumbledor said angrily. "You do not deserve magic." She watched helplessly as he snapped her wand.
"I knew this would happen," sneered Draco Malfoy. "Mudbloods are always trouble."
"It's your fault I lost my sister," Natasha growled. "You could have saved her. You're not an Avenger." Hermione collapsed into tears.
The nightmare faded. Hermione was back in the real world. She looked at her surroundings. She was on the quinjet which was flying above small cities, farmland, and fluffy clouds.
"What happened?" she asked.
"The Maximoff girl messed with your head," Clint replied. "Thor thinks her powers reacted badly with your magic."
Hermione pulled out her phone and gave it a glance. Apparently, Wanda Maximoff had gotten to Bruce.
A few hours later, Clint landed the jet in a familiar field. They were back at the farm. Laura, Cooper, and Lila were very happy to see them while the Avengers were surprised and perplexed. Thor flew off almost immediately while everyone else helped out with chores. That evening, Nick Fury showed up and helped the team to figure out that Ultron would be going after Helen Cho in Seoul, South Korea.
