Chapter:10 Family

After an awkward victory for Team JNPR and SSSN, Vic was just walking around Vale with Kakashi by his side as the overprotective Pokemon growled to any unknowns.

"Come on Kakashi. Don't give the people the wrong idea," Vic said as he doesn't want his and his friend's Pokemons be seen as beasts along with the Faunuses.

Kakashi huff as he starts glaring at everyone they pass, which made Vic sigh.

The two then saw an airship adorned with ribbons as the two look at it strangely.

He then saw Ruby and Weiss running at the direction of the strange airship.

"Let's follow them," Vic said as he and Kakashi ran to follow them.

Vic then reached the duo as he saw the airship landing as Kakashi slightly growled in wariness.

The large door of the ribbon adorned aircraft open up to reveal an older looking Weiss.

She is a tall and fair-skinned young woman with slate-blue eyes. She wears her white hair tied up in a bun, high on the left side of the back of her head, while her bangs are shaped around the right side of her face, a small curled lock of hair reaching almost to her left shoulder.

Her outfit consists of a white long-sleeved coat with a single dark blue clasp around the center waist holding it shut alongside a red jeweled brooch on the collar. The coat's length runs down to her ankles and the sleeves are split from shoulder to elbow. She wears a white pleated sleeveless blouse with a dark blue waistcoat. A pair of white trousers with dark blue garters alongside a pair of gray thigh boots with black detailing around the knees. She also wears a pair of black forearm length gloves with gray trimmed cuffs.

He then saw Weiss running up to the older woman as Ruby could only follow along, so might as well join them.

Vic then walked to the small group with Kakashi walking right behind him.

With Weiss and Ruby, the two is currently watching the older woman walking out of the ship with a group of robotic soldiers behind her.

"Wait... Your sister?" Ruby questioned as Weiss cup her hands.

"Winter!" Weiss then ran up to the older woman with Ruby behind her as the older woman saw them. "Winter! I'm so happy to see you! Oh..." Weiss then fix herself and continued. "Your presence honors us."

The older woman now named Winter looked around as she approached the duo and said, "Beacon... It's been a long time. The air feels... different."

"Beacon... It's been a long time. The air feels... different," Ruby said till she got punched on the shoulder by Weiss as she gasp in pain.

"So, what are you doing here?" Weiss asked her older sister.

"Classified," Winter said.

"Well ain't that great," The three then saw Vic coming to them along with Kakashi as Winter looked at the Discharge Pokemon in curiosity.

"Oh hey Vic," Ruby greeted.

"Hey Rubes," Vic greeted back as Kakashi eyed Winter warily.

"So that's a Pokemon," Winter said as she eyed Kakashi. "Interesting."

Kakashi growled as Vic quickly step between him, "Yeah his name is Kakashi, and he's very protective of me."

"I see," She said as tried to came closer, but quickly back away when Kakashi sent out some sparks from his fur.

"Like I said, his very protective of me, mostly likely the most overprotective one," Vic said as Kakashi huffed.

"Oh, right. Well, how long are you staying?" Weiss asked.

"Classified," Winter said a little seriously.

"Of course," Weiss said as she smiles and nods in understanding.

Ruby and Vic looked around the area in silence as Ruby said, "Well... this is nice... I think."

Vic could only give an 'I guess' gesture as he was kinda confused.

"You're going to love it here! I know you travel a lot, but so much of Beacon is different from Atlas!" Weiss said excitedly then whispered. "Vale, too. The government and school are completely separate! Can you believe it!? I-"

"I'm more than familiar with how this kingdom handles its...bureaucracy. That is not why I came," Winter said.

"Right! I'm sorry!" Weiss apologized.

"Okay, this is getting weird," Vic whispered to Ruby as she also agreed.

"Nor did I come here to watch my own blood fail so miserably in battle. But it appears that I have no choice in the matter," Winter said with a straight face as Weiss looked confused.

"But, we won!" Weiss said.

"Only a novice would refer to that as a victory. I counted at least three strikes missed," Winter said as she looked to her security. "Leave us."

The giant robot behind her then went back to position as Winter sighs as she gave a warm smile to Weiss and said, "How have you been?"

"Oh, splendid! Thank you for asking. I'm actually in the very top ranking of our sparring class! And the rest of my studies are going wonderfully, too! I'm-" Weiss could've continued till Winter slap her on thr head which caused a massive bump on it.

"Silence, you boob! I don't recall asking about your ranking, I'm asking how you've been. Are you eating properly? Have you taken up any hobbies? Are you making new friends?" Winter asked.

"Well, there's Ruby," Weiss said hesitantly as her leader pushed the bump back into her head.

"Heh, boob," Ruby giggled as Vic hides his snickering with his hand.

"I see. So this is the leader you wrote of. How appropriately... underwhelming," Winter said a little hesitantly.

"Uh... Thank you!" Ruby said.

"Greetings, Ruby Rose. I wish to thank you for taking an interest in my sister," Winter said.

"When she isn't a brat," Vic quietly mumbled so no one could here him.

Ruby was shock from it as she fix herself said, "Oh! Uh, yes, of course!" She then tried to be curtsy and salute. "The honor is in my... court!"

Ruby was about to stumble till Kakashi grabbed her skirt with his mouth. Ruby looked at the Discharge Pokemon and said, "Thanks."

Kakashi nods as Ruby quickly stood up and Kakashi let go of her skirt.

"I have business with the General and your Headmaster. But, seeing as I'm early, why don't you take me to your quarters?" Winter asked as she wondered what her sister's team dorm look like.

"Really?" Weiss asked as she was kinda scared.

She and Weiss then walk with the androids following them as Winter continued, "Yes. I wish to inspect them and make sure that they are up to my personal standards."

"Of course. Just so you're aware, the bunk beds only look unstable," Weiss said.

"Bunk beds?" Winter questioned.

"I'll catch up- I mean, I will... reconvene with you both... at a later..." Ruby began to beat her head for the right word. "Juncture! At a juncture. Yeah."

"Great progress," Vic said sarcastically as Ruby glared at him, and the two Schnees left.

Suddenly a decapitated head of AK-200s head was soaring to the air till it landed behind the two Schnees.

"Hey!" Everyone then look where the head came from and saw a man holding its body.

He has graying black, spiky hair, brilliant vermilion eyes, and slight stubble along his jawline. Along with a red, tattered cloak, he wears a gray dress shirt with a long tail, black dress pants and black dress shoes.

He also wears a ring on his right index finger, two other rings on his right ring finger and a necklace with a crooked cross-shaped pendant.

"Yeah, I'm talking to you, Ice Queen!" The man shouted at the two Schnees.

The androids were about to fire till Winter stopped them.

"Excuse me! Do you have any idea who you are talking to!?" Weiss demanded.

"Sssshhh. Not you." The man said as he placed his hand on her face and pushed her away.

"Hey!" Weiss yelled at him.

"You," He clarified as he looked at a irritated Winter. "Saw that gaudy ship of yours in town. I guess you're here, too."

"I'm standing right before you," Winter said.

The man squint his eyes and said, "So it would seem."

"You realize you just destroyed Atlas Military property," Winter said as she gestured to the destroyed robot.

"Oh, oh I'm sorry. See, I mistook this for some sort of...sentient garbage," The man sarcastically apologized as he looked around.

Winter walked over to the man faced to face and said, "I don't have time for your immature games, Qrow."

"Wait, you two know each other?" Weiss asked her sister.

"Geez, you Atlas Specialists think you're so special, don't you?" The man named Qrow said.

"Its in the title," Winter reminded.

"Well, you know what you really are? A bunch of sellouts. Just like your boss," Qrow mocked the Specialists.

"I'm not sure what you think you're implying, but I've heard enough," Winter said angrily.

"Oh I heard, too. I heard ol' Ironwood finally turned his back on Ozpin," Qrow said.

"Ozpin?" Weiss asked but Winter shove her to the side.

"Weiss, it's time for you to go," Winter said.

"What-"

"Listen to big sister, Weiss. She'll protect you. Just like Atlas is going to protect all of us, huh?" Qrow mocked Winter again.

"If you won't hold your tongue, then I will gladly remove it for you!" Winter said as she drew her sword.

"Alright then," Qrow said as he slick his hair back. "Come take it."

The two then began to fight in the area as Ruby, Vic, and Kakashi came at the scene.

"What's going on?!" Ruby asked.

"Yeah we heard fighting here," Vic said.

"Some crazy guy just started attacking my sister!" Weiss yelled angrily as she points to the battle.

"Oh no! Who would do such a th-" The redhead then saw who was fighting Winter and gasp in happiness. "That is my uncle!"

"What?!" Weiss yelled in shock.

"Sweet," Vic complimented as he look to the fight along with Kakashi.

"Kick her butt, Uncle Qrow!" Ruby cheered for uncle.

"Uh..." Weiss then decided to cheer as well for her sister. "Teach him respect, Winter!"

"Fight! Fight! Fight!" Vic cheered along.

Minutes later, the fight comes to a close, with Winter propelling herself forward, screaming in rage and preparing a thrust towards Qrow, just before a commanding voice is loudly heard in the courtyard, stopping her blade's point mere inches away from Qrow's neck.

"Schnee!"

Winter looked behind her to see General Ironwood walking to them with Penny by his side.

Winter fixed herself as she lowered her blade and said, "General Ironwood, sir!"

"What in the world do you think you're doing?" James asked as Penny stood beside him.

"He started the altercation, sir!" Winter shouted as she points at Qrow.

Qrow doesn't seem to bother as he put his hands behind his head and said, "That's actually not true. She attacked first."

"Is that right?" James asked as Winter tried to redeem herself but to only realize that Qrow was right as she looks down in shame.

"And you," James said to Qrow as the drunkard points to himself in mock confusion. "What are you doing here?"

"I could be asking you the same thing," Qrow said.

"I-"

"Now, now, everyone," Everyone then looked behind them to see Ozpin with his cup of coffee with Glynda by his side. "There is a sanctioned fight happening just around the corner at the Colosseum, that I can assure you has better seats... and popcorn."

"Break it up, everyone! We will take care of this mess," Glynda said as she glared at the three.

"Let's go," James said as he and Winter began to leave.

As Ironwood and Winter leave, Penny notices Ruby and Vic and quietly waves to her, while Ruby and Vic waves back. Ruby then leaps giddily onto Qrow's arm, shaking her legs in delight.

"Uncle Qrow!!!" Ruby cheered happily as she hangs on her uncle's outstretched arm. "Hi. It's so good to see you! Did you miss me? Did you miss me!?"

"Nope," Qrow said as they share a grin and he began to pat his niece's head while Vic look at them with little envy.

"Qrow!" Ozpin yelled at the drunk Huntsman as said drunk turned to him and drop his niece. "A word, please."

Glynda is currently fixing the courtyard with her Semblance.

"I think I'm in trouble," Qrow said discreetly to Ruby.

"You did kinda tear up our courtyard," Ruby pointed out.

"Yeah, I did," Qrow said as he wink at her and both of them share a fist bump. "Catch ya later, kid."

Qrow then joined the adults as Weiss approached her team leader's side with her arms crossed.

"And suddenly, your recklessness makes sense," Weiss said.

Ruby nudged her shoulder and said, "You're just mad because he whooped butt."

"That was a draw, at best!" Weiss countered but Ruby could only give a smug smirk.

"Well I'm going back then. Let's go Kakashi," Vic said as he and his dog Pokemon walk away, but he felt a bad feeling in his gut and its not anything good.

Vic was right to his gut as he glared at the battlefield.

It was the next morning and the next round of the Festival as the one's battling were his two of his caretakers, Coco and Yatsuhashi, fighting the guy Mercury and his teammate Emerald, and lost. He was quite suspicious to the battle since he felt a slight negativity in the field.

He got this skill when he was always with his friends as he always feel the positive emotions around them, and honed it to feel negative emotions. He always trained this skill with Seier's Gardevoir.

He then saw the paramedics carry the two members of Team CFVY away as he stood up and said, "I'm gonna go see them."

"Well come back soon alright," Ruby said she was also worried for Team CFVY.

"I will," Vic said as he left his seat and went to the infirmary.

Along the way, Bunta came out of his Pokeball when he felt his trainer's distress.

"Coco and Yatsu are hurt pretty bad," Vic explained as Bunta felt worried for the two. "I also felt something wrong during the battle."

Bunta was now curious as the two reached the infirmary, Vic knocked on the door and it opened to reveal Velvet.

"Victor what are you doing here?" Velvet asked.

"Is it wrong to visit the ones that took care of me?" Vic said with a smile which Velvet returned as she let the two in the room to see Coco and Yatsu resting on their beds, and Fox sitting beside Coco.

"Hey guys," Vic greeted as the other members of Team CFVY saw him.

"Hey kid. How are you doing?" Coco asked.

"I should ask the same to you," Vic said as they laugh together.

"But seriously. What are you doing here?" Coco asked seriously.

"I have a bad feeling in my gut," Vic answered as Team CFVY understood what he meant.

Vic is a literal danger detector, with Seier and Shori having the same thing due to being experienced trainers themselves, he could feel something very dangerous before it could even happen. One time, Vic warned Team CFVY to bring extra ammo for their next mission while bringing along Temari with them, and they encountered a massive horde of Grimm in their mission and survived. And the days after that, they will always ask the young Champion if anything is going wrong.

"Its during our battle wasn't it?" Yatsuhashi asked as Vic nods.

"I did feel something during our battle, but I don't know what it was," Coco said.

"I might get some extra security for the tournament," Vic said.

"You're gonna ask Professor Seier and Shori?" Fox asked while Vic shrug.

They were the only Pokemon experts in Remnant.

"Yeah, we might also gonna use our Pokemons as security as well," Vic said as Bunta gave a determined look.

"Well be safe okay," Coco said.

"I will don't worry," Vic said as he and Bunta left the room.

As he continued forward he began to lose in thought. That gut feeling really give him goosebumps on his skin and a cold shiver in his spine.

Bunta nudge his trainer to snap him out of it as Vic looked at Bunta.

"Don't worry I'm fine," Vic said till he bumped to someone and fell on the floor.

"Sorry about that!" Vic looked up and saw that it was Nora.

"Don't worry about it," Vic assured her as he slowly stood up and looked down on the floor.

On the gray concrete is his amulet, but also beside it is copy of the amulet but with a black dragon on it with a red gem as its eyes instead.

Both Vic and Nora looked at each other in shock as they couldn't process what they have witnessed while Bunta look at the two in worry.

Cliffhanger!!

So yeah no Omakes for this chapter, and was that quite a surprise.

I will not explain in this chapter, but on the next one since I want to add the suspense. ;)

On a side note, I am slowly starting to give up on Zen Hero: Tai more and more, I am not really that good on following the main plot of the anime or any anime for that matter.

I really can only do stories that doesn't follow the main story but I need to think of the plot myself, and I can do RWBY with a little help from Google itself.

So sorry if I ever put the story in Discontinuation or Adoption cause even when I like BNHA, I really didn't follow the story at all.
