Just a quick note, I changed my main character's name to Harper. I apologize for any confusion!
Also, I'm both shocked and ecstatic at how many people have read my story on here! I've mainly been posting my story on Wattpad, but I'll definitely be updating on here more often because of the number of views I'm getting.

When Chase texted me that he wanted to cancel our Saturday tutor session to hang out with Marcus I was a bit ticked off. After telling Mrs. Unger about how I skipped a few sessions, he has the audacity to do the same and with a stupid reason. He's a total hypocrite!
So, out of spite I decided to show up at his house wasn't going to get away with this.
He answered the door which was even better, I got to see his surprised reaction right in front of me.
"Harper? What are you doing here?" I gave him a sickly sweet smile and let myself in. "Didn't you get my text?"
"Yeah but you know me, I don't listen." I dropped my back pack on the floor and plopped down on the couch, humming with content. I looked up at Chase who stood by the couch gaping at me. "You should be proud of me. I'm not late for a tutor session, in fact instead of being late," I glanced at my wrist even though I didn't have a watch, "I'm one hour, six minutes and ten seconds early." Recognition dawned on Chase's face when he caught on to what I was doing.
"Are you still mad about the parent teacher conference. And are you that spiteful that you're willing to try and wreck my plans?" I put a hand on my chest and acted like I was hurt.
"No, of course not. " I said innocently. "I made a promise to be more responsible and you made a promise to continue tutoring me if I did. You're not holding up your end of the bargain. "
"I- you - you're so-" Chase let out an exasperated growl and looked about ready to strangle me. "Why are you like this, why?"
"Like what? "
"You're so bitter, rude and now manipulative! You do whatever you want, when you want. Then when I do it to you once you flip out!"
"I'm not flipping out." I argued but Chase crossed his arms while giving me a look. "I'm not."
"Then why did you come over?"
"Because I don't think it's fair for you to tattle on me to for skipping our tutoring sessions when you're doing the same thing. And not just today, there's been other times where you cut our sessions short for whatever reason. I'm not the only one to blame yet you made it sound like I was." Chase sighed after thinking about this for a moment.
"Ok, maybe you're right." I blinked in surprise. "But it's only happened two times while you've skipped 6 out of the 20 tutor sessions I'd scheduled. So that makes it 75% your fault." I rolled my eyes.
"Do you always have to use numbers?" I asked, changing the conversation. I wasn't going to admit that Chase might not be wrong. Now I was embarrassed for letting my anger get the better of me. "Nevermind. I'm - I'm leaving."
"Wait. If you're here we might as well do some studying. Marcus isn't coming for another half hour." I already had my backpack and went around him to the door.
"Yeah no, I really came here to prove a point. Now I have, so I'm gonna go. " My hand was on the knob.
"Harper-" I turned to face him one last time, but could barely look at him.
"I'm not going to argue about it. I'll see you at school."
I left the door for Chase to close and hurried down their driveway. My face burned as the embarrassment of what I'd done grew to be almost unbearable.
Chase was right. The thought itself pained me but I know I was the problem. Like always.
I tried to kick a random pebble and huffed in frustration when I missed. Nothing I do is right.
I thought that acting more tough and careless, my life would improve somehow. In a way it worked, I wasn't bullied at school at least. But I may have taken it a little too far.
I just wish for once I wouldn't screw up!
Yeah, this chapter is short. I felt like there needed to be a short scene where you kind of learn a little bit about Harper. It's revealed that her gruff personality isn't her true self. And that she was bullied at her previous school which is why she doesn't trust anyone.
So this story is going to be broken up into three or four books, haven't decided yet. The first book is going to end after the events of Season 2 Episode 1: Speed Trapped. Just because the story will take a turn and I want to end the book on sort of a cliffhanger. Feel free to leave your guesses in the comments of future chapters about what will happen. ;)
And on a related noteI'm not sure if I'll continue into Lab Rats:Elite Force. I'd have to really challenge myself to try and continue the story from where Disney ended it. It would certainly challenge me as a writer.
Anyways, hope you like this chapter!
