Somewhere in Japan, a tall slender man with onyx dyed hair and teal blue eyes stormed into a dark room. "Shigaraki! What the fuck?!" the man demanded the moment he slammed the door open. "Why did you sent out Nomus to Tsukuba?! Why didn't you discuss with us?!"
The room was dark, with the only light coming from a flashing television and the door that the man had just opened. A slim man with messy grey hair sat curled in a ball in front of the television replaying the same clip over and over again. "Dabi..." the man named Shigaraki turned around, his bloody orbs peeking through the hand on his face. "How many times did I tell you to knock before you come in?" His voice was raspy, and a little bit weak, but it held enough anger to give off a strong, dominating aura.
"I was gone for a few weeks, and I come back to this?! You fucking gave us away! Now the hero society are looking everywhere for us!" Dabi threw the newspaper in his hand onto the ground.
"What are you so excited about? It's not like they weren't looking for us before..." Shigaraki turned back to the television, seemingly uninterested.
Dabi clenched his fist in annoyance. "Well if you accomplished what you meant to then I wouldn't be here! You sent a bunch of Nomus out without supervision looking for some girl, and not only did they not find her, but they were all killed by those damn heroes. Was it too much to send the crazy woman? Or even Compress?! Where were they and what were they doing?! Now the heroes know we're after her!"
"She's special... If we're not careful then it's our men who will be captured by her. I can't afford to lose another comrade at this point," Shigaraki replied. "How are the things at your end?"
A low growl rumbled in the depth of Dabi's throat as he glared at his boss in annoyance. "I gathered about 2000 underground thugs. Those bastards are still under the radar for now, but they say they'll be ready any time."
Shigaraki let out a light chuckle. The video of a certain silver haired teenager kept replaying on the television, over and over again. Shigaraki watched as a certain blonde was stuck to the ground, unable to move, the silver haired girl towering over him. "Beautiful..."
"What did you say?" Dabi asked.
"Dabi...I've never seen such a beautiful quirk before. Even Sensei didn't have something like this. Complete control...Kh Kh Kh...If I have it...I'll be the God of this world!" Shigaraki laughed. "Then I can turn this world into ruins! HAHAHA! HAHAHAHAHA!" Dabi's brows furrowed. There was a part of him that questioned Shigaraki's sanity. Sometimes he'd show incredible intelligence and strategic skills he honed the past few years, but sometimes it's as if he's slipping. Dabi could never tell what this man is thinking. "Prepare the men Dabi... Soon... We'll turn this world upside down."
It's been a few days since the whole kidnapping incident. With the help of some heroes all around the country, the police were able to track down the big organization behind all this and finally take them down. There's still no lead on the League of Villains though.
Bakugou was cutting vegetables when he heard a sniffling sound. The man put down the kitchen knife and went to Kamiko's room. He peeked through the door to find the girl all curled up on her bed sobbing to a piece of paper. "Hey woman what's wrong?" Bakugou walked into the room, a bad feeling in his gut. Could that paper be a result from a medical exam? Is she sick? Does she have cancer? Did someone in her family die? "H-Hey... Are you ok-" Bakugou began to sit himself down on the edge of her bed but he was cut off by Kamiko's sudden outburst.
"AAAAHHHH! SHE IS JUST SO SWEET! I CAN'T! WAHHHHHH!" Tears shot out of Kamiko's eyes like a water fountain.
What the fu- Bakugou snatched the piece of paper from Kamiko's hand. "THE FUCK IS THI-" It's a fucking fan letter!
Dear Iki-sensei,
I want to thank you for your wonderful manga series, 'Just a Kiss.' I have always been a loner at school, and it was hard for me to make friends because I'm an otaku and a fujoshi. I used to get bullied all the time, and I even thought about suicide at some point. But your manga had always been the light of my life. Even though I'm a girl, I relate so much with the main character and his struggles with friendship and self love. Your manga taught me to treasure my life and always believe that life will always get better. In high school, I made a lot of friends out of our mutual love for 'Just a Kiss,' so I want to give you my greatest thanks. Not only does your series have great visuals, but a compelling story about the struggles of high school friendship and societal acceptance. I really enjoy your manga, and now I have friends because of it! I will continue to support you forever and I look forward to your future chapters and future works!
"AAAHHHH! I'm so touched!" Kamiko sobbed. Bakugou had a strange and sudden urge to smack the shit out of this girl for some reason. He was conflicted with the feeling of anger, annoyance, and embarrassment. He raised the letter in one hand, ready to smack it down on her, but when he saw Kamiko flinch while sniffling, he slowly put the hand back down.
Bakugou tossed the letter aside and groaned loudly. He got up from the bed and went back to the kitchen. He should've just ignored her from the beginning. Why did he care whether or not she was crying in the first place? "Fucking idiot..." he muttered. Bakugou continued to chop up the vegetables with his knife in preparation for the curry he's making tonight. He'll be pretty busy the next few days, so it's convenient to make something they can just reheat later and have again.
Not only great visuals, but a compelling story huh... He thought as his hands slowed down. Hmm... After a long while, Bakugou grunted as he pushed the thoughts of Kamiko out of his head and continued to focus on the food. When the curry was finally done, Bakugou brought the two plates to Kamiko's room. This time she was sitting at her desk, smiling and wiping away silent tears as she read her fan mail. Kamiko always kept her fan mail. She had a box for them. She'd tie up the mails she received in the same month and put them in the box all organized.
"It's time for dinner," Bakugou said, putting the plates down. Kamiko sniffed and wiped away her tears before joining Bakugou at the small coffee table where they always eat their meals. Her eyes were a little bit puffy from all the tears, but there was a smile hanging on her lips.
"Hehehe! Bakugou's curry!" Kamiko grinned at the food with a face full of bliss. She looked so stupidly happy that Bakugou couldn't help but chuckle at her. "Ittadakima~su!" She shoved a spoonful into her mouth. "MMM! It's so good! I love your spicy curry soooo much!" She closed her eyes in bliss.
"Do your fan letters...really make you that happy?" Bakugou blurted. He receives fan letters from time to time too, mainly thanking him for saving their lives and stuff like that. Bakugou remembered Midoriya used to cry and grin at his fan letters too, but he himself never really felt much when reading them. Maybe a little bit of satisfaction, but that was it.
"Hehe..." Kamiko laughed shyly, pink dusting over her cheeks. "They mean the world to me!"
"I see." He looked down at his food, picking up his spoon and began to eat. Kamiko seemed to have taken his question as a conversation starter, because she began to talk about all the sweet things her fans wrote in their letters. Bakugou honestly couldn't give a damn about what her fans wrote, but for some reason he couldn't bring himself to tell her to shut the fuck up.
He would respond with soft 'hm's and 'oh's to the things she said, until he looked up at her and saw she had curry sauce all over the corners of her mouth. "Wipe your mouth," he told her.
"Huh?" Kamiko raised her left hand to touch her lips, but Bakugou caught her hand before she could touch the curry sauce.
"Not with your hands that's nasty!" Bakugou clicked his tongue at her as he grabbed a napkin from the side. Kamiko froze wide eyed when Bakugou leaned over and pressed the napkin against her lips. His eyes were soft and calm, focused on the stains located at the corner of her mouth and a little on her cheeks. After he wiped away the stains on one side of her lips, however, it was as if he had snapped himself out of a daydream, the man's blood red orbs suddenly met her widened silver hues. "..."
Kamiko had no idea how long they were staring at each other, for she completely lost herself in those his beautiful red eyes. There was a loud thumping inside her chest, so loud she could practically hear it. And maybe Bakugou can hear it too.
Bakugou stared at her eyes, and those long silver lashes draping over it. He remembered the first time he met her, years ago, when he stood opposite of her in the arena during the sports festival of their second year at UA. At that time he never noticed how breathtakingly beautiful her eyes were. Suddenly that memory of her, still young and sporting a short shoulder length hair cut, seemed so far away. He wasn't even sure if he was staring at the same person.
"B-Baku...gou?" her soft shaky voice interrupted the awkward silence. Bakugou snapped out of his thoughts and tossed the napkin in her face. "Ack!" Kamiko cried when the napkin hit her face.
"Do it yourself," Bakugou growled at her, sitting back down to eat his own food. He glared at the curry as if it were Shitty Deku. There was some heat gathering in his face, but he was pretty sure it was because of the spicy curry.
Kamiko wiped her mouth with the napkin Bakugou smacked her with, making sure to hold the napkin high up to hide the redness creeping up her face. What the fucking hell was that Bakugou! I thought you were the arrogant and rude kind of guy what happened to that? Who said you can just suddenly be all 'sexy caring main lead' on me?! Holy fuck that was amazing I should totally add it to my manga! She put a hand over her chest, feeling the hard thumping inside. Chill Kamiko, you draw hot guys for a living you can handle a real 3D hottie! No big deal! No big...deal...
"Um... Thanks for the food... I'll- I'll wash the dishes!" Kamiko grabbed Bakugou and her plates and spoons when they were done and quickly rushed into the kitchen.
"Oh...okay," the blonde man muttered after he realized his plate has already been cleared from his view. He sat in the bedroom with seemingly nothing else to do. He had gotten used to the BL posters and all the comics lying around. Kamiko had been doing her best to make sure that the floor is always nice and clean and ready for Bakugou to lay out his futon, so if she were to throw her BL books around, it would usually be on her bed.
Bakugou eyed the bookshelf he had purposely steered clear of. Your manga taught me to treasure my life and always believe that life will always get better. Bakugou found himself in front of the bookshelf, looking through her collection. It was mainly filled manga by other artists. He couldn't really tell which were BL and which weren't, but Bakugou also found Kamiko's manga at the shelf perfectly eye-level, where it'd stand out the most. 'Just a Kiss' was the title of the manga.
The blonde man slipped the first volume out of the shelf. The cover page was a picture of two boys sitting back to back. The color scheme was very cold and soft, giving Bakugou a very sorrowful feel. He sat against her bed, and then he flipped the cover over to the first page.
"Bakugou you're reading my book!" Before he knew it Bakugou was halfway through the book. It doesn't require long to get through manga chapters since there aren't as many words. Bakugou looked up to see Kamiko smiling down at him excitedly.
He slammed the book closed and put it behind him. Heat started rising to his face as he stuttered, "N-No I-"
"I'm so happy! Thank you sooo much!" Kamiko threw herself onto Bakugou, wrapping her arms around his neck. Bakugou nearly stopped breathing at the sudden lack of distance between them. "I hope you like it! I think BL is such an amazing genre with so much potential! Oh don't worry this book doesn't have any sex scenes in it yet!" She let go of him. Her eyes began to sparkle as she held onto him by the shoulder. "You know I worked really hard for this story so pleaaaase tell me what you think about it after you read it! Oh! If you're interested! I have so many more mangas I wanna recommend to you!" She ran to the bookshelf and pulled out a few books. "This series is about a high school guitarist who fell in love with a boy who is trying to get over with the death of his ex! It's really angsty but a really good story! This one is about an Olympic figure skater and his coach! And this one is-"
"I'm not into this fucking gay shit you fucking dipshit!" Bakugou cut her off.
"Oh!" Kamiko paused, but she didn't look dejected at all. "Well, I mean I'll just reorganize these just in case. The ones on top will be the fluffy stories, and the ones on the bottom will be the more spicy ones. You can start with the ones on top!"
"I said I'm not gonna read them!"
