There is no way to make CNA work interesting, I was a CNA...trust me, it's consistent but boring work.

With some nerves rushing through his body, Rai Uzumaki walked into the Hospital doors and made his way to the desk where a moderately tall boy was standing. He had long grey hair and glasses and a smile on his face. He was wearing a dark purple shirt with a high collar, a white under-shirt, and dark purple pants with a white cloth waistband. On his head was a Leaf headband. Somehow, Rai knew this was Kabuto.

"Rai, right?" The boy's voice was warm enough, making Rai smile in turn.

"Yes."

"Wonderful, I'm Kabuto Yakushi. Level Three Medic and genin of the Leaf. It is nice to meet you." He held out his hand, which Rai shook.

"I'm Rai Uzumaki, but you already know that. I am Level Zero medic and also a genin. So, what are we doing today?"

Kabuto's eyes twinkled ever so slightly, giving Rai a bad feeling. "Oh that, we are going to get you in uniform then we are going to start working. Since you are shadowing me, your going to mostly be watching as I take care of my patients. Most of what I do will be beyond you for at least a year, but today is mostly to get you used to seeing gore and dealing with patients. You will be able to be hands on with things like ambulation, washing patients and what not. Around noon we will break for lunch, then come back for your training. Today we will be assessing your chakra control, knowledge of anatomy, botany and what not. Oh and we are also going to asses your taijutu since your going to be a field medic. You need to learn evasion on a major level, like it will be your entire style."

"Wow... that's... a lot. Cool, let's do this."

Kabuto's chuckle was borderline evil. "Not cool, trust me. Level One medic work is back braking, boring and brutal. You deal with more abuse then you know what to do with, get blamed for everything by patients and have to do the most grueling and unspecific work. Your going to hate it but it will help you become a better medic, no doubt about that. Plus it's what is paying for your education. Labor for lessons."

""'

"I wonder how Rai is doing?" Naruto pouted as he tossed a fish into their nets, sort of frustrated with the entire process. " Hope he's doing something less boring then this."

Kakashi actually laughed at him from his spot at the edge of the river, book in hand. "He will be doing Level one medic work, after his evaluation and shadowing. Washing people, wiping butts and taking people to the bathroom all while studying to become a medic. Trust me, he is going to be wishing to come back to D ranks after his first day."

Sakura, who was knee deep in water, struggling to life her net full of fish, managed to croak out a loud. "Why did he agree to become a Medical Ninja? He won't be in the field for a while right? I mean as a medic, it takes years to get good doesn't it."

"Aye, but it is also an extremely valuable skill set to have. Just having one medic on a team triples the survival rate. If he is really good they might even recruit him into ANBU since he is plans on holding onto his more combat heavy skills."

Even Sasuke stood, looking at Kakashi in shock. " ANBU, Rai?"

"It's a vague but real possibility, yes. One available to any genin, chunin or jonin that showcase the right mindset and skills. That includes all of you actually, so don't look too much into it."

Pain, sharp and sweet shot through Naruto's chest, his hands clenching in annoyance. 'Again he is... better then me. How are we so different, he is supposed to be twin, a clone of me... less then me even since clones are a fraction of me...' So consumed in the irrational jealousy raging through him, he never did notice the hesitant look in Kakashi's visible eye. 'Wait, if he is a fraction of me, then I have this potential too... even better then he does! Alright, I got this!'

"... Have a good day, sir. Yes, you are welcome... " Rai kept a smile on his face as he left the room, before slumping ever so slightly the moment he was out of sight of the rather irritable patient he had just escaped.

Kabuto, smug and happy, actually laughed at him. "Not so cool now, is it? I should have warned you, patients are the best and worst part of this job. They make our time worth it but they can also be ungrateful cunts. Trust me, they can and will make or break this job for you."

"I can see that... how many patients is that, sixteen? And that was just your first round. How many rounds do I have to go through?"

"Three. One when you first get here, one with your replacement when you leave and one in the middle. Your shifts are only six hours though so you only have the first and last round. You will be starting on just six people for your first two weeks or so, after you learn proper ambulation and lift techniques. Trust me you don't want to throw out your back."

"Great... ugh, this is going to be tough, I can tell... but I think it will be worth it. A worthy investment."

"Good that you see it that way, too many people give up during this stage. Even the highest medic has to wipe butts from time to time, when we are short. The basics are never to be forgotten and that is the whole point of your beginning training. It also makes you useful while you are still learning how to heal."

"Lovely... So what's next?"

""" Five Hours Later"""

Rai stripped out of his uniform, a white full body suit that zipped up in the front with a strange cap. His suit was missing the medic symbol, denoting his status as being not a medic yet. It was oddly comfortable, the suit, just a bit tight. According to Kabuto once and if he became a medic level three or chunin he would no longer have to wear it. It was only for Medics level one and two and never for Chunin since that rank outweighed being a medic until you reached level three which was equal in village rankings. He could still wear it during important meetings, like evaluations and promotions and so on. Some medics never took it off, retiring as Shinobi and staying as full medic and so they kept their village rank as a medic, with the outfit denoting their dedication and status.

After jumping into his own clothes once more, he hurried to the training room where Kabuto was waiting for him patiently. The room, if you could call it that, was massive with book shelves on the far right on elevated platforms. A pond filled with fish lay on the bottom layer with a small staircase between them. On the left was Kabuto and a table with various scrolls on it.

"Ahh, your back. Good. Let's get started. I hope your prepared to get wet for today your learning Water walking and Leaf sticking... for about an hour, then we will be assessing your knowledge base. That will take up the rest of the five hours till we leave. We will focus on Taijutsu starting next week, and so we will be using the training field made specifically for medics. I'll show you where it is then. For now though, it's time for your lessons." Rai hurried towards his teacher, happy to learn something of value. "Now, these scrolls I have set aside for you, to study when you aren't here. I labeled them for when you are being tested, so follow the regimen. It's standard for when you take your tests."

"Thank you."

"Your welcome... now, to the water we go. I'd strip to your boxers if I were you, your going to get wet, trust me." Groaning, Rai did just that and followed his teacher to the water. Kabuto kneeled down and put his hand on the water, making it glow with chakra. "This technique is actually rather simple, and if you want to increase your reserves I would practice your taijutsu while over the water. It is a great method to work on control and chakra levels. As for application, well all you have to do is push your chakra through the soles of your feet like you did with tree climbing exercise but shift the flow based on the motion of the water. Things like temperature, composition and what not can also affect your ability to stick to the... w...water."

Rai smirked at the man as he took his first steps on the water.

::

Kabuto gaped at his new student, who was walking on the water with no real issues. Sure it was motionless and only half a foot deep but still it should have been much harder.

"This is easy. The tree climbing exercise was harder."

'Advanced chakra control for such a new being, I wonder if it is tied to him being a literal incarnation of chakra... hmmm... Lord Orochimaru will want to know about this.' Smiling, Kabuto clapped a little. "Very nice, but your not quite mastering it yet. You need to be able to use it and adapt to things like this." Then, without warning, he slammed his foot in the water, making ripples the knocked Rai right onto his backside.

"Ow! That hurt."

"Good, don't get cocky. Now, since your so good I want you to incorporate this technique into your normal routine so you can bolster your reserves and control. I will be reevaluating your skill here soon. You'll need to massively increase your control if you want to be able to use the mystic palm. Or any medical jutsu really, they all require high chakra control. Manji, your preceptor, said that your control was Upper mid level, that means your need at least twice as good control to be able to fully master just the Mystic Palm."

Watching the boy stand, and glare at him, Kabuto couldn't help but see a younger him in the boy's stare. "Noted... now what?"

"We move onto the Leaf sticking exercise then onto your knowledge assessment."

The servant of Orochimaru could not help but smirk at the boy's groan.

"""

"... My brain hurts, make me dinner."

Naruto chuckled at his brother, who lay slump against his bed. " Hard day?"

"The hardest... I never realized how little I know, even with reading. I have never felt so pressed. Oh, I have a jutsu to teach you. Water walking, from what I gather Kakashi should have taught us this already but I figure I'd teach it to you in the bathtub. It will really help your control... what'd you do today?"

"Walked dogs, into a mine field... caught fish and a few other stupid D Ranks. Your so lucky to be away from it all, I miss Wave."

Rai groaned. " I wiped six people's butts today, washed a fat old man with blisters in his fat rolls and got hit on by a sixty seven year old women. Until I am at least a level two medic, I am on permanent D ranks in the hospital six hours a day twice a week. At least the pay is good, I could actually live on just the two days since I am getting paid an hourly D rank pay. Hell, I am making more then you are now."

"Really?"

"Yup... now feed me, my poor brain is all melted."

Naruto snorted. "Yes, your majesty... then we can talk all about my sword training."

"Great, Ru... but food first. My poor feet ache so much... mmmm."

Chapter end, tell me what you think in the reviews.

This was a touch filler, touch establishing his life from now on and just some fun.

Love, your Ninja Overlord,
