Regina's POV

Together we had a light lunch, which included homemade pizzas on pita bread. Mine consisted of a pesto and white sauce, spinach, tomato, and chicken. Hers, of course, consisted of red sauce, cheese, a copious amount of meats, and more cheese.

We shared small pecks here and there and light touches when we passed each other. Most touches were a stroke of the arm, or a caress of the lower back. Every now and then, the touches start to wonder. I finished doctoring mine and watched her finish hers as I rubbed her lower back. Apparently, my hand had a mind of its own.

My hand somehow slipped under her shirt and started stroking up higher, mapping out the expanse of smooth skin. I kept exploring til I heard her moan.

"Gina, don't get me started. I'm warning you. You have no idea what I am capable of."

"Oh, darling, I think I know exactly what you're capable of, if you remember this morning when you- Miss Swan!"

She had the audacity to paint my nose with her red sauce and took off to the other side of the counter. Using it as a barrier. I dipped my thumb in my sauce when I stalked around the counter.

"Listen. I had to. You gave me no choice. If we kept going in the direction we were headed we wouldn't get anything else done today. Not to mention our son could come home and find us in a very compromising position."

I was able to get close to her during her rant. In the meantime, I rubbed both thumbs together in the process. When she turned around to look at me, I knew she hadn't realized how close I'd gotten. I reached up and grabbed both sides of her face, smearing my thumb down both cheeks.

"You're right. And now. Now, we're even."

We laughed and popped both pizzas into the oven. We ate together and the mood was light. This was good.

We finished up and decided we both needed to shower.

She proposed we save water and shower together. I wasn't opposed but I also knew how fast things can escalate.

"Fine, under one condition. Just showering. No funny business. We don't have the time."

She held up her hand and said, as seriously as she can muster, "Scout's honor."

Easy to say...it wasn't that easy. And she lasted longer than I did. I couldn't help myself. With her back to me, I cupped her breasts. I could almost fit them in my hands, almost.

I tweaked her nipples, before my hands traveled south.

"What about your rule?" She quivered, breathing heavily.

"My rule, I get to break it. I'll be quick."

I was quick. I had her screaming my name, bouncing off the walls in no time.

We dried off and threw some clothes on. Emma borrowed a pair of my yogas and a white T-shirt I bought from Henry's soccer boosters when he was eight. I, on the other hand, threw on some jeans that haven't seen the light of day since I adopted Henry since I didn't want him ruining my regal clothes with all the messy things babies do. I paired my dark washed jeans with a tucked in scarlet red tank and we left the room.

I passed Emma on the way out and the look she made when she saw the way my butt looked in the jeans, did not go unnoticed. I didn't stop her from staring and even swayed my hips a little extra as I headed for the stairs. I realized she was still rooted to the same spot I passed her in, I cleared my throat to get her attention.

"Come along, dear. The faster we get through this, the sooner you can get back to whatever has caught your attention." This caused her to turn beat red, making me want to drag her back into the bedroom. Sadly, there wasn't enough time for that.

We retreated back to my study to discuss our plan on what we tell Henry and what we both want from each other.

….

"So in conclusion, we tell Henry the gist of it. Briefing him on your heart curse on Friday, just brief so we don't worry him. In the meantime, we became closer realizing we had so much in common. Decided to explore this relationship. Unless, he isn't okay with it then we agree, we call it quits and try to be just friends. He's a good kid, you raised him, I don't think it will come to that. We give ourselves a week, to explore before we have dinner with my parents and I explain to them that you're my girlfriend and hope they can understand. Then….then, I can finally hold your hand in public and show off how happy you make me."

"Yes, dear. I know it's a lot. And I'm not ashamed, I'm just scared. They have every right to try and talk you out of it. Turn you against me. Pardon me, what did you just call me?"

"Regina?"

"No, it started with a g…and not Gina either, although we will come back to that, Miss Swan."

"Oh...girlfriend? I'm sorry. I know we hadn't discussed it yet, it just slipped."

"Emma, I'd love to be your girlfriend."

I lean in to kiss her and it quickly escalates to a steamy make out session like a couple of teenagers. I straddled her thighs as I lost my fingers in her hair. She digs her fingers into the meat of my ass through the denim making me moan into her mouth. I don't know how much time passed until-

"Mom! I'm home!"

Shit!

Emma's POV

"Mom! I'm home!"

Crap, crap, crap. I can hear his footsteps right around the doorway. He doesn't even know that I'm here, that I stayed the last two nights here, or the extent of my relationship with his mother have changed. I don't want to scar the kid before we get the chance to tell him.

Regina, unfortunately but thankfully, was already off and sitting next to me. She was smoothing out the imaginary wrinkles in her skin tight jeans, and even tighter mouth watering tank top.

We were both on our feet the moment he came into sight. I know it's only been three days but I swear he was taller.

"Welcome home, my sweet prince. How was your trip?" Regina was the first to swoop him in a tight hug.

"Hi mom, it was awesome! Hey Ma! What are you doing here?"

"Wow. Nice to see you, too, kid."

"Ugh, you know I didn't mean it like that. Just didn't expect you to be here, is all." He then came and gave me a hug as well.

"I missed you and wanted to be here when you got back. Now tell us all about your trip."

He dropped his bags by the door and scurried in to sit in one of the chairs across from Regina on the sofa. I opted for the other chair right next at the end of the coffee table.

"First of all, don't worry Mom, I will take my bags up with me when I get up. But Moms, it was so much fun. We went swimming in the lake, and Mr. Tillman caught some fish for dinner one night. We did s'mores over the fire each night. They said, 'you can't go camping without s'mores; it's tradition."

"So I can assume, all this energy is from the copious amounts of sugar you consumed this weekend." Of course, Regina zeroed in on that detail. "But, I am glad you had fun, sweetie. God knows I'm guilty of never taking you to do these things. I'm just happy you went and got the full experience."

"Anything else exciting, kid? I mean, you were gone for three days."

"Ooh, the best part! There was a rope tied to one of the trees by the lake and we got to use it to swing into the water. Ma, It was so cool, you would have loved it! Except the first time I tried it, I belly flopped and that hurt like something else." He said this while rubbing his stomach as if he could still feel the sting.

"Please, tell me Michael got a video of that!" I say through giggles just to tease him.

"I sure as hell hope not! I don't wanna see my baby in pain." She looked at me like I had grown two heads. Always with the dramatics.

"No Mom, it was actually pretty funny and I'm fine. See. Made it home, all in one piece. Anyways, how was your guys' weekend? Anything exciting? Any demons? Villains? Curses?"

"Well nothing that crazy. But there are a couple things we'd like to discuss with you, Henry. Unless, you are ready for bed, then we can wait until tomorrow after school." I could tell Regina was already getting nervous about this conversation.

I probably should be, too. But I know Henry and I know Regina raised him well. We have nothing to be worried about. He would want us to be happy. At least, I hope so. If not, we will cross that bridge if it comes up. Henry comes first, we agreed on this.

"Before I say anything Henry, just know that we are all safe and healthy now." He looked a little worried but urged her to continue. "Over the weekend, Maleficent's daughter moved to town. Her and Emma had a past which caused some conflict with her heart. Again, she is fine now and I believe we found a cure and it shouldn't happen again. In the meantime, I do want you to steer clear of her. Her name is Lily. Do you understand?"

He looked over at me with his big hazel eyes and I almost lost it. "There's something wrong with your heart? Are you gonna die?"

I instantly grabbed his hand to make sure he understood completely. "No Henry, I'm okay. Your mom was there when it happened and helped me. I don't feel any pain or discomfort. But just to be sure, I'm going to stay clear of her as well. Other than that, I'm fine. I can still school you at soccer, don't worry. Trust me, kid."

"Okay. If you are sure. You'd tell me if you were still in pain, right?

"Of course, Hen. No secrets, remember?"

Regina uses this as a segway for the next topic of discussion. "Speaking of 'no secrets,' there's something else we'd like to talk to you about. It's about your mother and I. We umm...we got to talking and...we…"

I guess I've got to lead this conversation. I get why she's scared. A part of me is slightly nervous but an even larger part is telling me to have hope. Maybe it's because I am the daughter of the ever optimistic Snow White.

I saw her start to ring her hands together and I wanted to ease her mind. I know she is thinking of every worst case scenario. "What your mom is trying to say is that we got to talking. We found that we had so much in common, and understand each other a little more…" At this point, I walked over to sit next to her. "I guess what we are trying to tell you, well ask you, is that we would like to see each other more. On a romantic level. We realized that between all the bickering and villain fighting, we care for one another. It's all new and we both agreed we didn't want to hide anything from you. Are you...are you okay with this?" I finish my speech by grabbing Regina's closest hand. I can feel the nerves radiating off of her; she's panicking.

"Is this a joke? Please tell me you guys aren't pranking me." She tried to let go of my hand but I held on tighter.

"Kid. We're not joking. I really care about her. And I think she really cares about me. But if you don't want us to be together, we understand. We will just be friends. You come first, we already agreed on that much."

"Mom, do you care about Emma? Do you want to be with her, too?

"Very much so, Henry. She makes me happy. But we won't pursue a relationship if you aren't on board with it." Her eyes are misting and I can tell this is gonna be just as hard on her as it will me, if he isn't okay with it.

I was too busy admiring her profile and trying to be strong for her, I wasn't able to brace for impact. Henry had thrown himself at us, into a family group hug. "Yes, I'm more than okay with it. We can be a family. I know we were before but now we can be a family together! I want both of you to be happy."

"Oh Henry. Thank you. Thank you, my sweet prince." She's smiling so bright and she's crying. The vein in her forehead is showing and I know it's from all the emotion.

"So when are you moving in?"
