Elsa and Jack Frost.
Chapter 12
It was all over the news! Elsa Snow was the winner of the contest. She danced her way to victory.
Elsa was happy that day. December 5th, was the day she proved that she was more than what everyone saw her as, a monster.
And it was also, the day she saw herself in a light. And that light was a cool frosty breeze.
It's not been a month since she won and a full year since she started practicing to be the winner.
Elsa warmed her hands breathing in them as she took a long walk.
Kristoff and Sven were sleeping on their couch as it was a party over at their house for Hiccup and Toothless.
Elsa had to get out the morning for some air. And she was glad all the attention was over.
The next big thing was Rapunzel claims she'll be planning her wedding to her new prince charming, which no one actually knew who that was but, Elsa could have a few guesses.
Only Anna would know the real answer or..."Jack." Elsa spoke his name almost every hour of the day as a reminder that Jack loved her and she loved him. And it took a year for her to see that. Who knows how long Jack has been in love with her, but now, he's away for the winter off somewhere in the world spreading joy and fun to children around the world.
Right now, she was just hoping she could say it to his face. But he might know it now.
"Doubt it." Elsa scoffed at herself.
Elsa just couldn't take. No matter what she thought of to say to Jack, it didn't sound enough to sum up what she was feeling now.
"Jack Frost. Who knew. The boy who was nothing but trouble." Elsa scoffed at herself, but she smiled.
"Jack of all the guys in the world, is the one I'd be falling for."
She had been chasing Tadashi for a while and when he came to a party with another girl everything shattered in her life.
But Jack was right there for her heart. Her feelings. He was there to make her smile.
"Jack Frost. How could I have fallin' in love with you? A boy who was nothing but trouble, but at the same time a guardian who puts everything in his life on the line to protect the light of the children and the hope of the world from all the darkness in this universe." Elsa sighed. "How can I love you?"
"I don't know. How can I, a guardian who is immortal and is over hundreds of years old, be in love with someone who fights me every step of the way?"
Elsa turns right around and Jack is standing there. Grinning his white shiny teeth, wearing his dark blue hoodie all covered in snow, his grey pants blending with the dim sky filled with snowy clouds, and his blue eyes like an ocean you could drown in but still be happy.
"Jack?!"
"Hello Elsa. I can't stay long, but I do want to finally say, congratulations on winning." He said.
Elsa couldn't help but burst into tears. She didn't make a sound she just stood there staring at what she hoped wasn't an illusion of the cold air in her mind.
"You can touch me. I'm real here. Please stop crying Elsa." It really was Jack from his facial expression of worry when she cried.
Elsa just ran and hugged him tight. More tears fell down her cheeks. "It's really you."
Jack hugged her back. Smiling a soft smile that she couldn't see. "Of course. I told you I would try to visit." He said.
"I figured it out." Elsa said.
"What?"
Jack didn't understand till he felt her pulling away to look at him in his eyes.
"I love you Jack Frost." She said it to him and his face was perfect.
"And so do I." He said. "I have loved you for so long Elsa Snow, I'm glad you see that. But I wasn't expecting you to say it back." He chuckled. "But I'll except your love, my snowball." He told her.
"Elsa Frost."
"Whoa! Getting way ahead of ourselves aren't we?" Jack laughed.
"I just wanted to try it, so I won't react to it when Anna and Rapunzel start teasing knowing them." Elsa explained.
Jack nodded. "Elsa Frost." He said is in a soft whisper as Elsa held his tighter. "Not fair."
"You'll never get use to me saying it." Jack teased.
Elsa was going to say something but kept quiet and only rolled her eyes.
"I can't tell if I have permission or not." Jack suddenly said.
Elsa was so surprised she didn't even know what to say.
"But it can wait till April if you need time?" Jack said smiling as he stepped back.
Elsa didn't know what to say, she knew he meant a kiss but could it really be that fast? She was already preparing her mind for the teasing from Anna but this was a lot more than she could handle.
She had to think this through but Jack had to get back to his work and only made time for her this day. Elsa had to take a deep breath and just take the jump with no parachute out of the plan and pray she lands with her life.
So, she took the step herself and closed her eyes as she leaned in for the kiss.
She heard Jack laugh a little before taking her hand and meeting her the rest of the way.
It was soft and cool, but it was so perfect, time had suddenly frozen for them for a good moment. Just long enough for them to sink in that they were really in love. True pure love.
As they pulled away it was quiet between them. It wasn't Elsa's first kiss and it wasn't Jack's, but for them, it was like their first time all over again, but no more repeats or do overs. Just the two of them every time.
"I guess we are-"
"Official. But, we can tell everyone in April when you come back." Elsa said quickly.
"Alright. See you than, Snowball." He said winking nad flying off in the sky.
Elsa smiled brightly seeing him off. Her whole year was like a huge bubble, till Jack helped her POP out of it.
