The Scott Home
Before taking their children to school and going to their jobs. Brooke and Lucas decided to sit their children down and talk to them. Instead of talking around the subject and avoiding it whenever Sam or Scarlett entered the room. The couple knew the best course of action was to address it head on.
"What's going on.? A we getting a pet.? Or going on vacation.?" Scarlett asked.
"Are you and momma getting divorced.?" Sam asked.
The couple's eyes went wide.
"No honey that won't ever happen. We love each other far too much for that." Brooke reassured him.
"Why would you think we were breaking up my boy.?" Lucas questioned.
"Because of the fighting i heard. You and momma thought we were asleep but we weren't." Sam confessed.
"We're sorry you heard that. People that love each other argue sometimes. You forgive each other and move on." Lucas said.
The boy breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good to hear. So what do you want to talk to us about.?" Sam asked.
"Years ago before the two of you were born you're mom and I had another baby." Lucas stated.
The twins's eyes went wide. The expressions on their faces full of shock and surprise.
"We had a boy. You're older brother is named Keith. He's 16." Brooke admitted.
"What happened to him.?" Sam asked.
"Why hasn't he been here all along with us.?" Scarlett asked.
Brooke sighed deeply. Her grasp on Lucas's hand getting tighter by the minute.
"We had Keith when we were teenagers. Young and unable to take care of him." Lucas replied.
"We decided to give him up for adoption. He's actually living in Tree Hill now." Brooke revealed.
"Where.?" Sam asked.
"Can we meet him.?" Scarlett asked.
"We will fill the two of you in on those questions later. Time for school. I'll take you." Lucas stated.
"The two of you go on and double check you're bookbags then wait for you're dad by the car." Brooke instructed.
Once the twins were out of earshot. Brooke turned to her husband.
"So we're okay.? How we left things wasn't exactly in a stable place." Brooke questioned.
Lucas sighed deeply. "Aren't we always okay. I should get going." He replied.
"Luke. I'm trying to change the dynamic and give you the chance to be honest and open with what you think and what you're feeling. Don't shut me ." Brooke pleaded.
"I have nothing more to say." Lucas said. Turning from her as he left the home.

Karen's Cafe
"I'll see you this weekend." Keith said. Leaving the restaurant.
"See you then." Karen replied. Turning her attention towards her customers. It for the best that he never found out who she had just started working for her at the cafe.
She was getting to know him in a way she never could of envisioned.
It was only now beginning to sink in for her how wrong she had been.
...
"I could of just walked to the school you know." Keith stated. As he got into the car. Clutching his backpack.
"It's not that i don't trust you. It's just i know that you planning to start school and you actually going to it doesn't always happen. I'm just making sure this transition goes smoothly." Lena stated.
"Thank you. I am nervous." Keith admitted.
