"And you understand I'm going to be there for a week" Ty says a couple weeks later as he is packing a suitcase as Lyndy sits cross legged on his bed in her pajamas "And I'm not going to be able to be right here if you need me"
"Yes Daddy" Lyndy says as she looks at him
"Okay" Ty says as he picks up some more shirts that are laying on the bed "And your going to be good for GG and Lisa"
"Yes Daddy" Lyndy says as she lets out a yawn as Ty looks at her
"I think it's time for bed" he says as he puts his suitcase down on the floor "We both have an early morning tomorrow" he says picking Lyndy up off the bed as they walk out of the room
The next morning Lyndy is sitting at the kitchen table with Katie and Lou are sitting at the kitchen table as Jack and Tim are standing nearby as Cass comes through the door "Lyndy Bug" Cass says as she comes into the kitchen "Are you ready to go shopping for decorations for Ava and Amy's nursery?"
"Yea" Lyndy says as she continues to eat her eggs "Will you help me get ready Godmama?"
"Of course I will" Cass says as she walks over to her "Let's go pick out a cute outfit?" she says as Lyndy finishes her breakfast as Scott comes through the door
"This place is like grand central station this morning" Tim says as Scott comes into the kitchen
"Is Ty ready to leave for the vet conference?" Scott says as he looks at him
"Haven't seen anything out of him yet this morning" Jack says as he takes a sip of coffee
"I'll get him" Lyndy says as she flips around in the chair "Daddy, Uncle Scott's here!" she says as she yells into the other room as Ty walks into the kitchen rolling his suitcase with a bookbag over his shoulder
"I'm right here" Ty says as he kisses Lyndy on the forehead "I'll see you in a week okay baby"
"Okay" Lyndy says as she jumps down off the stole "Bye Daddy" she says as she runs through the living room "Come on Godmama"
"Coming" Cass says as she smiles at Ty as she walks through the living room after Lyndy
"Bye sweetheart" Ty says as he turns back around to look at them "Okay so here is the number for the hotel and call if you need anything at all" he says continuing "And your sure everything's okay here?"
"Ty" Jack says looking at her "Everything is going to be fine"
"And I'll call and check in everyday" Ty says as Scott grabs his suitcase as he starts leading Ty out the door
"Okay bye" Lou says as they start out the door
"Have fun" Tim says as they hear the door latch behind them "A little bit of separation anxiety there"
"Lyndy seemed fine" Lou says as she flips around to look at him
"Lyndy?" Tim says as he looks at them "I'm talking about Ty" he says as Scott's truck pulls out of view
"I'm sure he'll get there and enjoy it" Jack says as he looks at them "And hopefully be able to relax some"
"Yea we just decided to keep her at our house tonight" Caleb says later that night as he walks into their living room as Cass and Lyndy are sitting on the couch "But she wanted to tell her Daddy goodnight before she went to sleep" he says as he hands the phone to Lyndy
"Daddy" Lyndy says as she takes the phone from Caleb
"Hi sweetie" Ty says as he smiles on the other end of the phone "Are you having fun at Godpapa and Godmama's"
"Yea" Lyndy says as Caleb and Cass smile at her "We've having a movie night"
"Oh well that sounds fun" Ty says continuing as he gives a head nod to Scott as he goes into a bar area "Well have a good sleep and I love you"
"I love you too Daddy" Lyndy says as she hands the phone back to Caleb
"So how many times have you actually watched Moana" Ty says as Caleb takes the phone back
"I lost count a while back" Caleb says as he rubs his head "I have all those songs memorized at this point"
"Welcome to my life" Ty says laughing "And I only have one girl, your going to have two so double the princess movies"
"Can't wait" Caleb says continuing "But she's been great" he says looking back at them in the living room "How's the vet conference going?"
"Well nothing too exciting has happened yet" Ty says on the other end of the phone "I think we're going to get a couple drinks and then call it a night" he says as he walks into the bar as he joins Scott
The next morning Scott kicks the end of Ty's bed as he makes his way across the hotel room that they are sharing "Oh" Ty says as he begins to wake up "Oh, what happened last night?" Ty says as he winces as he continues to wake up as he grabs his head
"We were at the bar last night" Scott says stepping out of the bathroom where he's brushing his teeth "And those brothers that run the vet clinic in the next town over from us were there"
"The one's that are jerks" Ty says as he continues to hold his head as he lays back on the bed
"Yea" Scott says continuing to look at him "Who always try to steal our clients" he says continuing "The challenged us to see how many shots we could do" he says as Ty sits up on the side of his bed "But you showed them, because you drank the most"
"Well I feel it" Ty says as he rubs his eyes "And I thought doing shots with Cass was bad" he says leaning over
"But you better hurry and get ready" Scott says as he looks at him "We have to be downstairs in twenty five minutes for the first meeting"
"Can we get some coffee on the way?" Ty says as he begins to stand up as he slowly makes his way over to his suitcase grabbing some clothes and some other things out of it "Is the bathroom free?"
"Yea" Scott says stepping out of the way as he smiles a little
"You think this is funny" Ty says as he lays his things down on the bathroom counter
"No" Scott says as he looks at him "Not at all"
"Uh huh" Ty says still giving him a look "Next time I'm taking you down with me" he says as he closes the bathroom door
Meanwhile Cass comes into the guest room of her and Caleb's house as she walks over to where Lyndy is sleeping "Lyndy" she says shaking the little girl "It's time to wake up" she says as she notices something on Lyndy's neck as Lyndy sits up as she rubs her eyes "Sweetheart turn back around" Cass says as Lyndy turns facing the opposite direction as she looks at the spot "Honey are you feeling okay?"
"Yea" Lyndy says as Caleb comes walking into the room
"What's going on in here ladies?" he says looking at them
"Come look at this" Cass says as Caleb walks over as she shows him the spot on Lyndy's neck
"What's going on?" Lyndy says as Caleb and Cass look at each other
Later that day Caleb is standing in the kitchen of the ranch house with Lisa as Jack is walking around on the phone "Ty" Jack says into the phone "She's fine, Trisha said that chicken pox have been going around at school" he says continuing "No you don't need to come home, we'll take good care of her" he says as he takes a breath walking over to Lyndy who is sitting on the couch "Tell your daddy that your okay" he says handing Lyndy the phone
"Hi Daddy" Jack hears Lyndy says as he walks back toward the kitchen "I'm okay" she says as she continues to talk as Jack gives Caleb and Lisa a look as he comes over to the kitchen table
"I told you he would freak out" Caleb says as he looks at Jack as he takes a sip of water
"He's just a concerned father" Lisa says as she looks at them
"No Caleb's right" Jack says looking at them "He did freak out"
Later that night Georgie comes into the living room as Lyndy is laying on the couch trying to sneak in some scratching
"You know your not supposed to scratch don't you" Georgie says as she pokes her head over the couch
"It's just so itchy" Lyndy says as she looks at her
"I know" Georgie says as she walks around sitting on the couch by her "I had to go through the same thing" she says continuing "But what made me feel better and not scratch was having someone to help take my mind off of it was having one of my friends to keep me company, which is what I'm going to do for you"
"Okay" Lyndy says as she looks at her cousin "But it's still really itchy"
"I know" Georgie says as she smiles at her
So I hope everyone is enjoying the story so far but I do have a few housekeeping things to take care of. First off, while most comments have been related to this story primarily, there has been some about the current season. Please keep in mind that there are some that may not have seen the season yet, so please don't give any spoilers or compaining about things that you don't like about the new season or where the show is heading. Secondly, there will be some time jumps coming up in the next couple chapters as years will be passing by, hopefully I can keep this story going as Lyndy grows up. With all the trials that come with the transition through the years, which I think many of you will enjoy. And the third and final thing is that I'm kind of struggling at this point to come up with titles for the chapters so if anyone has any good titles please share.
