Arc 2; Ep 3; Battle to the World Tree
We have only started the game, but I have hope that we can traverse through the land and get to the world tree. However we have been told some elite players will block our path to the Main City. While we rested a bit from the game I had my dad have a meeting with the CEO there.
-January 21, 2025 RECT Progress Inc-
In the main lobby Jeff's dad enters the building and walks up to the desk.
"Hello, I am here to have a meeting with the CEO." He tells the woman at the desk.
"Ok, can I have a name?" she asks him
"Jonathon Jackson, I hope he isn't busy." He tells her and she looked at him curiously then got on the phone and talked to the CEO.
"Yes sir, you may go see him. Take the Elevator to his office." She explains to him and he takes the elevator up and goes into the office and sees the certain man at a desk and notices Jon enter.
"Ah, you must be Jonathon. Glad to meet you." He says and Jon walks up shakes his hand
"And you must be Shouzou Yuuki, glad to meet you sir." Jon says and takes a seat. "So I'd like to talk about a couple of things, mostly about the game your company made, ALfheim Online."
"Really? Well that is an interesting subject you would turn to." Shouzou says quite a bit surprised.
"Of course, my youngest son enjoys the game very much so. He even got my eldest to try it out." Jon explains to him
"Really? Glad they are enjoying themselves, and isn't your eldest son one of the survivors?" He asks
"Why yes, in fact he happens to be a friend of your daughter. Asuna I believe? I feel sorry that she has not yet awoken yet, even my son Jeffrey wishes to send his apologies to you." Jon explains
"Yes it is quite a sad moment she is like that now." Shouzou says with a sad expression. "For the moment you wanted to ask about Alfheim, I actually have an employee running the server here while I am busy with other things. I could call for him if you like."
"Why yes, I'd like to meet the man who is running the game." Jon says and Shouzou clicks the intercom and asks for a man called Sugou. After a while a man came into the room.
"You called for me sir?" He asked Shouzou.
"Yes, I'd like you to meet Jonathon Jackson. CEO of Jackson Corp." He tells him. "This is my employee Nobuyuki Sugou who will also be later marrying my daughter."
"Is that so? A pleasure to meet you Sugou." Jon says and Sugou shakes his hand while Jon lets something loose into his sleeve.
"Same to you Mr. Jackson, I have heard how you have helped people have new limb replacements." Sugou says
"Yes, my company helps the people in need. Of course I've done quite a lot in America, my family traveled here to help those in Japan." Jon explains. "But why I am here is to find out why my son suspects this company has something to do with the 300 people still not waking up."
"Jon wishes to pay his compliments to the game you had set up for many of the people of Japan." Shouzou explains to Sugou.
"Is that so? Well I am glad to hear them." He says with a happy expression.
"Both of my sons are enjoying it very well, well my eldest has only started from my youngest's request. May I suggest some later ideas for ALO in the future?" Jon asked him.
"Why yes, of course. However I am working on a new project for the game. So maybe possibly next month will be ok?" Sugou asks who seems to be very busy with another thing.
"Of course, I do have my own project to attend to anyway." Jon explains. "Anyway thanks for the meeting Shouzou Yuuki, it was a pleasure meeting you and Sugou."
"It was a pleasure Jon, see you another time." Shouzou says as Jon walks out the room and to the Elevator. He then pulls out his phone and goes to a section where he is tracking something placed on Sugou as he moves.
"I wonder if this project Sugou is working on is private away from his boss." Jon thought as he exited the building and entered his car driving to Jackson Corp.
Meanwhile back at the Jackson Manor, Jeff was on the phone with Kazuto Kirigaya talking about ALO and learned some things as the girls arrived.
"So I was on the phone with Kazuto and he says that he got transported near Sylph territory. He also met up with a girl named Leafa, he got some info about the World Tree and says the two of them are heading over there soon." Jeff explains to the girls.
"So he has gotten another girl huh?" Selena asks with a smug look on her face. "I wonder how Asuna is gonna feel about her."
"We don't really have much time anyway, let's get online right now and head towards the main city." Kotone tells them and they get their Nervegear on and log online.
-January 21, 2025 Undine Territory-
In the hotel the trio spawns in their rooms, they leave their rooms and get to the road to the tunnel towards the main city.
"So this is the way to the cave that leads to the world tree?" Lucy asks
"Frost did say that some of their elite members guard the path." Philia says as they start walking. "Do you think we can fight them and win?"
"We survived SAO for 2 years, this game may have been out for a year. However I learn fast very quickly." Sakore tells them and they move forward towards the tunnel that they were told about.
"I detect 5 Players through the Tunnel." Strea mentions in Sakore's breast pocket. As they continued through the path towards the main city they could hear voices from ahead.
"Have you heard? There are rumors of an army of Salamanders going to the Sylph and Cait Sith meeting." One of Undines said.
"So What? Those two wimpy races are no match against them, I heard the Second Best of the Salamanders is in that. He's one of the strongest players in all of Alfheim Online!" Another one explains to them.
"Pffft, so they say! He may be a Salamander, but he will not be compared to me at all!" One guy says, he has slightly spiky light blue hair, has a white and blue coat, has a white shirt, white and light blue pants, white and silver boots, and strapped to his waist is a katana. "I'll show that an Undine can be fierce!"
"You got that right Collin! No one will stand up to you!" The first guy tells him, then one of them noticed the trio walking towards them.
"Looks like we got company, and a strange group as well." One of them mentioned and the other 4 looked at the trio curiously.
"So a Spriggan and two Imps have strangely teamed together? And what's worse you entered this tunnel that is under the Undine's control!" The guy who is Collin says with an amused tone. "Therefore you are trespassing our territory!"
"We only just want to get to the World Tree!" Lucy explains to him.
"So you plan on getting there before the Undines? That I will not let happen! Those who trespass shall be wiped out by me! I am the second best of the Undines under our leader!" Collin says drawing out his katana. "No one has bested me and you will see how terrifying I can be!"
"Well prepare to learn that someone will beat you!" Sakore retorted drawing his sword.
"Oh smack talking to our boss? You are gonna get it!" One of Collin's boys says to him as the two charge at one another and clash blades causing a powerful shockwave. They push each other back and Sakore runs straight at him as Collin takes a stance going for a horizontal swipe, though Sakore leaps over it and slashes at his back. Causing Collin to be surprised and frustrated.
"You little punk! No one has dared to land a hit on me!" He shouted, then swung his blade at Sakore which just barely grazed his cheek. The two continue to clash blades against one another as they try to overthrow the other one. Sakore dodged another swing from Collin as he tried a thrust at him, Collin used that to try another horizontal slash which Sakore barely duck under then went for an upper slash. The two backed away gaining distance.
"Geez, I never saw anyone last this long against Collin. Usually they are already down." One other guy says surprised how long Sakore has continued the fight against Collin. The two charge again clashing blades, Sakore did wish he could use some Sword Skills back in SAO, though he would have to swing his sword in hopes to win his battle against his fierce opponent. Both fighters jabbed and slashed, lowering the other's HP and it seemed like a close fight while the two glared at one another waiting for the moment when the other was going to make a move.
"What is with this guy?! How is he not fallen yet?!" Collin asked in his thoughts, surprised that Sakore is fighting hard against him. Sakore then runs towards him with a battle cry as Collin tries to block against the attack, however Sakore overpowers him by knocking his weapon up, leaving him open. Sakore yelled loudly by swinging his sword down at him with a diagonal slash as he pushed it through Collin's whole body as he roared in agony. Once he slashed through Collin died and became a blue flame which left the other 4 in deep shock. Sakore then stood up and looked at them with a serious expression.
"Now if you'll excuse us we will make our way to the Capital City. Or would you rather end up like your buddy?" Sakore threatened them, the four were frightened that someone had defeated Collin and did not want to mess with him. He and the two girls moved forward, however unknowing Collin was furious over his loss against someone like Sakore.
-Arun; Central Capital City of Alfheim-
Once the trio exited the cave they flew towards the main city called Alne. And just in the distance they could see the world tree, it took some time for them to get there but they were able to get to the city. However, since the battle took a long while and it was starting to be night time. Which of course they should probably log out for the day until tomorrow.
"We should probably log out right now, we can advance to the world tree tomorrow." Philia suggested, the other two agreed and found a hotel to logout for the day. Once they logged out they removed their devices off their heads. "We have reached the city, by tomorrow we can advance to the world tree and rescue Asuna."
"Yeah, I just hope that Kazuto has made it to the city also." Jeff replied wondering what he is doing.
"You could message him and see where he is." Selena suggested. "Though I'm not sure if he is asleep or still on his way there." She was making a point, Jeff knows that he would do anything to get Asuna back more than ever. However what Jeff is waiting for is to see if his dad can find any data if his hunch about the 300 players still in sleep is related to being stuck while Asuna is caged inside Alfheim Online. Usually he is definitely right, but he needs solid proof that is what it is.
Meanwhile in the office of his Company, Jon is currently controlling a small gadget he released in Sugou's suit seeing as he controlled the servers of the game instead of Shouzou. At the moment he is moving the device to one of the mainframe computers to upload data to Jon's computer. As he did that he also looked at documents of what seems to be logs from November, these were things Sugou wrote talking about downloading a few minds from the Death Game as it was cleared into the system and experimenting on the minds and learning how to control them.
"These logs… they came from that same man from Shouzou's company… To think my son assumed all of those people were unable to awaken…" Jon placed his hands on his face a little stressed after reading the docs. Jon knew his son was quite an expert of solving mysteries, but he never expected that he would be right about something as big as this. "I can't believe that innocent man is behind all those people trapped, this can not go on… but I should at least download and print these until everything is all set." Jon starts typing away. "I think I get why my son started playing that game, it wasn't just for fun. I believe it's because he doesn't feel like he is home yet, he wants to get his friend back thinking it's not alright until everyone has awoken." Jon looks at the time seeing it become 9:30 PM as he is working a bit late for now.
The team has made it to the Capital City, but their assault will lead to the World Tree. Will they be able to rescue Asuna and the other players? While they have gotten there Jeff's dad was able to secretly obtain documents from computers in the lower floors of Rect Progress which are controlled by Sugou.
Sorry I haven't been doing this for a while, I have been having thoughts of multiple stories for a long while. However I wanna mainly focus on SAO and FT, Arc 3 will be completely made up and not part of the Original SAO story. Me and a friend of mine have worked on this and I hope you guys will get to enjoy what is about to come. So enjoy yourselves for something new, also I am adding Lost Song as part of Arc 2.
