Little Dawn ran back into the nursery to find the Royal family laying down on the floor, except something felt horribly wrong when she stepped into the room to hear Snow White crying.
"No, no, no" Snow White kept on repeating as she shook Prince David whose white shirt was leaking with blood, "Please... please come back to me"
Snow White bent down and kissed her Prince as Dawn sniffled and started to cry as she heard footsteps approaching, making Dawn terrified as she ran over to the wardrobe and hid inside of it.
"Oh, don't worry, dear" an evil voice came as the Queen entered the room, "In a few moments you won't remember that you knew him, let alone loved him"
Dawn watched through the cracks of the door as she saw a black gown standing over the couple as Dawn tried her best to stop her violent shaking.
"Why did you do this?" Snow White asked.
Dawn placed a hand over her mouth as she tried her best to keep herself from crying out to let the Queen know where she was.
"Because this is my happy ending" The Evil Queen knelt down to tell her stepdaughter that as Dawn heard more footsteps approaching, "The child?"
"Gone" a male voice let out, "Was in the wardrobe... and then it was gone. It's nowhere to be found"
Dawn let out a slight gasp as she looked around and noticed that both Pinocchio and the baby weren't in the small place that she was hiding in. Both her friend and the baby had made it out of the Enchanted Forest and were safe from the Curse. Dawn swallowed hard as she looked back out to see Snow White staring right at her. She gave a small smile as she looked down to Prince David and pet his hair.
"Where is she?" the Evil Queen demanded.
Snow White looked so happy that she almost looked dazed and in a dream despite the fact that the winds were now howling with the Curse right outside the castle walls.
"She got away" Snow White stated, "You're going to lose, I know that now. Good will always win"
"We'll see about that" the Queen then raised up her hand and conjured a fireball.
Dawn let out a gasp as she made the doors of the wardrobe open and made the crib fly over in the direction of the Evil Queen. The woman let out a yell of pain as the force made her lose her balance and the fireball. Dawn got up and stepped out of the wardrobe as she felt her whole body shake with adrenaline. She was scared beyond her mind but she had to protect the Princess. The Evil Queen glared at her as she formed a fist, making Dawn gasp as she realized that she couldn't breathe. Dawn tried her best but could only let out little small strains of gasps in her last attempts to breathe.
"Stop it, Regina!" Snow White yelled out, "She's just a little girl!"
The Evil Queen smiled as she released her from the strangulation and said, "I'll keep her alive… just to watch this child suffer as everyone else does"
"Dawn" Snow White yelled out as Dawn struggled to control her breath, "Go back into the wardrobe"
Dawn listened as she stumbled back inside, just as the wind slammed it shut as outside it sounded like the walls were crumbling apart. The sound was so overwhelming that Dawn huddled herself into a ball as she rocked herself back and forth. She could feel the power pulling her out of her world as everything became so dizzy that she almost felt like she was about to pass out.
"Help me!" Dawn screamed out, "Pinocchio, help me!"
Dawn twirled her pasta over and over as she stared down at the sauce moving around and around.
"My Dawn?" she heard as she picked up her head.
"Hmm?"
"Are you alright, my dear?" Geppetto asked, gently.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine… just worlds away" Dawn straightened up, "I'm not really hungry"
Geppetto cocked his head to the side, "But you said you were hungry and you made this excellent meal for us. Maybe your distractions isn't helping you, you can talk to me, you know"
"I can't talk about it" Dawn sighed, "I swore to someone not to tell… but it's getting hard"
Geppetto seemed surprised before he said, "Pinocchio?"
Dawn hesitated before finally she nodded, feeling a wave of relief for finally being able to mention anything about Pinocchio, but one look at Geppetto and the feeling faded. He had completely leaned back and ran a hand through his bald head.
"Why didn't you tell me that you were in communication with my son?" Geppetto asked.
"Because I wasn't" Dawn said, "Ever since the Curse broke he's been avoiding me but he made me swore not to tell you. He's been finding ways to call me but Emma hasn't been able to track him"
Dawn hesitated as she said, "I- I didn't want to tell you because I wanted to at least convince him to come and see you but… it's been difficult and I think I ruined it for the both of us"
"What do you mean by that?" Geppetto asked.
"I got so frustrated with Pinocchio as he was trying to avoid us because he feels like he's failed all of us in a way that I started to argue with him" Dawn cleared her throat, "I'm sorry, Geppetto, I don't think Pinocchio will come back"
"My dear girl" Geppetto smiled, "If there is anything I know about Pinocchio, it's that he would never hold a grudge on you for long, it's not in his nature"
Dawn gave a sheepish smile but still felt bad about keeping this a secret from Geppetto for so long. He seemed to have noticed this as he got up and made his way over to the red haired woman and placed a hand over hers and gave it a comforting squeeze. She couldn't help but give off a warmer smile to the man.
"So you're not mad at me?"
"How could I be?" Geppetto asked, "I know now that my boy is alive and in Storybrooke, I feared for the longest time that he went back onto his motorcycle and took off to Bangkok again"
Dawn laughed, "He used to love talking about the temples and lemurs"
"Almost like that was the only thing that was keeping him there" Geppetto shook his head, "Said there was some sort of magic in the air, I wonder if that place is anything like ours? Stuck in this world"
It was Dawn's turn to cock her head to the side as she said, "Maybe? Regina found a way to bring our world here, she can't be the only one"
"That is true" Geppetto sighed, "Maybe the three of us will be able to travel the world someday and visit those places"
Dawn opened her mouth to answer him but something made her stop and hesitate as she felt a sense of doom dread over her. She quickly tackled the old man to the ground just as glass shattered from behind her as something hit the cabinet above where Geppetto was sitting. Dawn waved out her hand as the plants quickly formed into a thick wall between the family and whoever was the attacker. A couple of rounds shot more and more but the vines took more damage as the other plants came alive and started to protect the house.
"Geppetto, I made a small trail to the car" Dawn instructed, "You can escape, go to the Charmings and let them know what's happening"
"What about you?!" Geppetto hollered.
"Someone has to distract whoever it is" Dawn turned to him, "And another person has to warn the town"
"Are you mad?!" Geppetto let out, "I'm not leaving you! You hear me?"
"If you don't, we'll both be dead!" Dawn yelled out, "Now go!"
Geppetto hesitated before he brought up her hand to his lips and kissed it, "I'll be back soon"
Geppetto quickly left in the small opening that Dawn had created as she went further into her vines and plants as she tried to sense if any were being distrubed in any way. She let out a small poison in the air from her plants that contained them just as she heard the car's tires peel away down the street, giving her a sigh of relief. Quick movement on her right made Dawn hurl a gust of wind to the other side but nothing happened as she realized it was only dark there. The water pipes groaned under her power as she made them burst out of their places in the walls as it formed in her hands. She turned and waved her hand up to send it crashing into her intruder but a jolt of electricity sent it back as she collapsed to the ground and convulsed for a few seconds.
A man and a woman with long black hair appeared over her as the man said, "Is this the one, Tamara?"
"Oh, yeah" Tamara smiled, "This is the one our wooden boy follows and now that we have her… he'll listen to every little thing we have to say"
"Hit her again" the man informed her.
The woman raised up a taser and blasted Dawn one more time before everything went black.
