Year 2 – Bludgers, Pompous Sods and More

Elbowing their way through the crowd, Tonks hastily pushed her younger sister through until they found their goal; one injured Harry Potter who was currently unconscious.

"Harry?!" Noele worried with a gasp, lunging for the older boy who stirred at her voice.

"Don't worry! I will save him!" Lockhart proposed with an utterly stupid grin, teeth glinting despite the pouring rain.

"What the?!" Tonks gaped.

Harry came to, vaguely seeing someone leaning over him.

"Sir, Madam Pomfrey is the best healer in Hogwarts, this is part of her work." Noele stressed to the man sternly, grey eyes staring him down.

"Nonsense!" He twittered cheerfully, nudging her away and into the older Tonks who glared at him.

"Oh, no, not you." Harry moaned the moment the git leant over him, wondering where Noele was.

"Doesn't know what he's saying." Lockhart assured loudly to the anxious crowd of Gryffindors pressing around them. "Not to worry, Harry. I'm about to fix your arm."

Tonks and Noele glared at him fiercely. "You most certainly will not." The young metamorphmagus stated. "You are not certified as a healer!"

Tonks grabbed his arm tightly. "As El said, if you try to fix his arm, you're more likely to do something stupid."

"Nonsense!" Lockhart bristled, shooing them away vehemently. "Miss Tonks, I am a professor of Hogwarts and a capable wizard. Ten points will be taken from Gryffindor for questioning my capabilities to help my students."

She steamed, yanking herself away from him, eyes and hair flashing bright red – startling the man as he certainly hadn't expected it at all – wielding a sneer that could make even Snape somewhat impressed. "Take the points, but it doesn't fail to hide your faults as a wizard!" She hissed loudly, grasping her sisters' hand, ignoring the offended dramatic gasp of the sod and storming to the infirmary. "Don't worry Harry, I'll make sure Madam Pomfrey is made aware of the event so she can help you!"

"I'll hex you in her stead, you pompous git!" Tonks finished loudly, waving her wand threateningly.

"Don't waste your career on someone like him."

Tonks grinned sharply, ruffling her hair fondly. "Lovely use of the Black temper, dear sister."

"I haven't hexed him yet, but I believe it won't be long until I do." She ground out.

"Misses Tonks?" Madam Pomfrey questioned; a brow raised as they burst into the infirmary as though they were on a very important mission.

"Harry fell from his broom at a very high height, most likely broken some bones –"

"A broken arm, poor Harry was cradling it to his chest." Tonks interjected brightly.

"– and that stupid git is trying to heal him! He can't even get rid of the pixies he unleashed in his own classroom! I told him to take Harry to you for treatment but did he listen? No! That stupid, sodding, pompous, stupid git is trying to cast a healing spell!"

"What?" Madam Pomfrey demanded.

"Ten points were deducted as well." Tonks smirked, watching as steam all but left her ears.

"Let Minerva know girls before that git can run amok." Pomfrey ordered sternly. "I'm off to fetch that poor boy before he does something monumentally stupid."

"Too late, Madam Pomfrey." Oliver Wood interjected sheepishly, helping the young Potter into the infirmary.

"Good news, his arm isn't broken." Fred chirped, dropping the boy onto the bed carefully.

"His bones were removed." George finished.

"WHAT?!"

The younger Tonks had to be restrained from storming after the looney professor, held by her sister and closet friends as threats most of them hadn't known existed left her usually polite mouth.

Fred and George had taken to writing them down for themselves for later use.

Who knew that Lockhart was actually a pixie loving, chamber pot of a lug whose brain was mushier than the worst of potions Snape could conjure and force feed them?

Noele had calmed down from the furious temper of her maternal family, only to be told her head of house was asking for her.

"Stay here for me, please?" She asked of Tonks.

"Anything for you El." Tonks assured with a wide grin, "Now, off you go before we have to tie you down before you follow through with some of those darker hexes."

"Tempting as it is, I have to explain to Professor McGonagall what really occurred for those points to be taken." She sighed, turning to Harry with a calm smile. "I'll visit you later, feel better soon."

"A-Are you in trouble?" Harry questioned worriedly.

All he received was a grimace. "Hopefully not." She muttered, waving at the group before leaving, shoulders squared and chin held high in defiance as she stalked to the dreaded meeting.

"What happened?"

Tonks grinned maliciously, cackling loudly even as the trio looked at her weirdly, the older Gryffindors far too exposed to the craziness she held.

"El and I were having a rather pleasant chat when we heard screaming. My dearest El was so worried for that she shouted your name like a forlorn lover, desperately running to you as I humbly followed as her knight where we found you unconscious." She jeered, smirk widening at the darkening flush on his face. "The princess was about to kiss you awake when –"

"Oh, come off it Tonks –" Fred grinned, swinging an arm around her shoulders, his twin mirroring his action easily.

"– our favourite little Tonks went off at that daft Lockhart –" George continued.

"– sternly telling him off about not being a healer –"

"– insulting his capabilities –"

"– Ten points away due to her bravery –"

"– and finally, our darling little Noele didn't care for points and returned a rather brutal burn to his pride." The twins chorused mischievously.

"I think the sneer really settled it for me." Ron added with a shudder. "It's almost Snape worthy."

The Gryffindors who witnessed the sneer all nodded along seriously.

"Rather frightening for such a young girl." Katie murmured.

"I wonder what it will look after she'd perfected it?" Angelina countered thoughtfully.

"I'll ignore that image thank you very much." Oliver retorted with a shudder. "One Snape sneer is enough, why add another?"

"To scare the Slytherins stupid?" Tonks mused.

"Point." He conceded.

"Professor?" Noele knocked, peering into the room as she found her head of house looking at her sternly.

"Miss Tonks, it has come to my attention that something occurred on the Quidditch pitch during which Mr Potter found himself unconscious and with a broken arm. Would you be so kind so as to explain how this involves you, Professor Lockhart and the loss of Ten points?"

Noele simply smiled. "Gladly."

And she did.

Short chapter, but the next chapter will make up for it, I promise! More Tonks, Andromeda and Ted shenanigans, maybe some more memories and photos too, who knows? I do hope you like this chapter, it was rather fun writing the small explosion Noele had, and it will occur so she can scold the adults silly - especially when they get older and overstep boundaries.
