Deep in the dark green jungle of the White Isle. The Vines were swaying as they drifted in the small wind of the ocean. Spyro felt the wetness of the ground as he came to. Spyro woke back up with a very sore head, and his arms felt wet and cold. He moaned as his body was waking as well.

Spyro: *Spyro moans.* Mmm… Where…. *Spyro eyes slowly become more clear, and his mind starts to feel questions. * …. Where… am I? Where… *Spyro starts to sit up. " Where is….. Cynder…..?

*Spyro gets up and starts to move around, but only a little bit.*

Spyro: *Spyro pushes himself over a mossy boulder.* ….I wonder which island this is…. I also wonder where my kids are….. Is The Ship safe? … Was that storm too much….?

*Spyro walked around a weird glowing mushroom. He had never seen one quite this color before. He slowly looked around further…. Trying to understand his surroundings…..*

Spyro: *Spyro looked down, almost feeling helpless. He had already lost a lot, and was already filled with fear and doubts. He only looked down, doubting even further. Had he lost his family already? He wondered.*

*Then soon, after a small quiet moment, a white glowing orb, slowly hovered by gracefully.*

Spyro: *Spyro blinked twice as it fluttered across Spyro's muzzle.* … Huh? *The orb begins to hover away.* He-... Hey! W-Wait a minute….. *Spyro slowly starts to follow the white orb that began to sprout out a trail of sparkly particles.

*Spyro followed it down a small dirty and mossy trail that led to a large rocky surface, posing as a wall.*

Spyro: *Spyro almost slid against the wall as he reached the bottom, he turned sharply.* … Hey! H-Hold it!

*The orb kept floating further and further across the vast jungle as it led Spyro near a sunnier part of the jungle, a part, with jungle view.*

Spyro: *Spyro turned a few times as he gazed upon the beach below him. After a few glances, he spotted something he needed to see. A black dragoness.* ,... *Spyro stopped and felt his body completely halt, as he moved through the bushes.* ….. T-There she is!

*He saw Cynder and their daughter Iggy. With them was Hunter, and Bianca. It seems the ship was wrecked near the sharp and rocky shore.*

Spyro: *Spyro turned and looked back towards the trail, the direction, where the orb was going.* …..

*The white orb was gone…..*

Cynder: B-Be careful Iggy! You could fall…. *Cynder ordered as she carefully crossed the jagged rocks, paying close attention to Iggy.* ….. I don't want to hurt yourself.

Iggy: *Iggy proceeded across by climbing up and down each and every rock.* I-I-, W-W-Won't M-m-m-Mommy!

Cynder: *Cynder looked around, finding herself becoming surprised from something she was unaware of.* W-Where did that ….. Boy get off to…..

Spyro: *Spyro walked forward, and used his paws to slide down the sandy and rocky cliffside.* C-Cynder! There you are!

Cynder: *Cynder's head perks up quickly to the sound of her husbands voice.* Spyro!? Your alright!?

*Hunter and Bianca were happy to hear this sudden news, and quickly hurried over.*

Bianca: Did she just say Spyro!?

Hunter: Spyro, Are you hurt!?

Iggy: D-Daddy!

Spyro: *Spyro soon reached them and stood by Cynder's side.* Well, of course I'm alright! Why wouldn't I be…..

Cynder: *Cynder smiled sweetly at him.* I can think of a few reasons…..

Hunter: *Hunter scratched his nose as he started to examine the island they landed on.* You were thrown overboard my friend…

Spyro: I've been through worse… *Spyro smiled upon his family he had reunited with. He looked down towards where his children were usually under Spyro 's and Cynder's feet, however…. Only Iggy was with the purple dragons. Spyro quickly looked at Cynder worried.* Where's Eon!?

Cynder: I-I'm not sure…. *Cynder admitted honestly as she too started to feel worried.*

Hunter: *Hunter started to look around as well.* Yes…. He was with us just a second ago…..

Bianca: *Bianca grunted as she started to walk forward, walking past Spyro.* …. Foolish child…..

Spyro: *Spyro watched Bianca begin to ascend the sandy bank that leads to the mossy trails. He then turns back to Cynder.* … We better follow her and find Eon before he finds trouble…

Cynder: … *Cynder nods slowly.*

Hunter: *Hunter nodded and sprinted ahead.* I'll scout ahead!

*Spyro and Cynder exchange glances before they proceeded onwards themselves.*

Flynn: *Flynn was sitting on a loose board of his wrecked ship.* …. I guess I'll repair the ship… again….

[Deep Jungle Ruins]

Eon: *Eon was panting as he was using his young tiny paws to travel across the jungle. He wasn't very fast, but he had gained distances pretty quickly.* …. Awwe….. *Eon was the first to discover a stone wall that had blue glowing scriptures written along it. The ruins looked ancient and Eon's little mind ran wild as he sorely believed they were very magical as the ruins were flowering with an ancient power. Eon happily hopped and skipped along this ancient courtyard.* ….. Ahahaha, ahahahaha!

*Soon a white orb was hovering above Eon. Eon slowed down his joy as he waddled to a stop.*

Eon: *Eon kept his eye at the floating orb above him.* … Huh? ….. What's that?

*The orb zooms down to Eon's eye level. Eon's eyes was locked on it as it buzzed around him, spun around him, and hurried across the ancient courtyard. Eon felt like he just spooked it.*

Eon: *Eon quickly goes after it.* Hey wait! Come back!

*The Orb leads him through a small carven that lead him to another side of the mountain.*

Eon: *Eon was slowly led to another courtyard. It was a slightly larger area to cover. Eon however, did notice that there was a large gate in front of him.* …..Huh?

*Eon slowly walked towards the mysterious gate.*

Eon: *Eon looked up at it. He saw the scripture written on the door revealing two dragons carved into the gate, as they had each other's tail in their mouths as they chased each other in a firm circle. This also spooked Eon a little bit.* ….. Woah… Scary looking door… *Eon lifted up his paw, and was brave enough to reach for it.* ….

?: I wouldn't….. *An older, but youthful voice warned.*

Eon: *Eon turned slightly, and noticed a young white male dragon, leaning against the wall of the ruin.*... W-Who are you?

?: Does it matter? *The teenage dragon barked back. He didn't seem very friendly to Eon. The white dragon leaned forward getting a better look at Eon..* Not any dragon can just walk through that door without permission…..

Eon: … *Eon let his paw down, as he looked down, disappointed.* Oh….. *Eon looked back at the white dragon with a smile.* Can I have "Your" Permission!?

?: *The white dragon looked upwards with a proud, but smug smile.* Only my father can grant you passage in the great chamble… But he's inside… Busy…

Eon: *Eon looked down again.* Oh….. *Eon looked back up with another smile.* Wait! Is your Dad the Chronicler!?

*The white dragon was silent at first.*

?: … Maybe,... *The white dragon looked away, not smiling anymore.* ….. Who wants to know?

Eon: *Eon turned more towards the white dragon.* I-I'm Eon! And My family is in a great heap of trouble! We need the Chronicler's help!

*There was another moment of silence.*

?: Well,... My Dad did say there was a dragon family that could potently come across our land, seeking his help… So you're a part of that family, huh…..?

Eon: The Chronicler knew we were coming? Can he help us!? My friends are in big trouble and a couple of us are really sick… *Eon stepped forward.* ….. Even I….. am sick…

?: *The white dragon stared at Eon for a long moment. The dragon in white stared into Eon's eyes. He noticed that one of Eon's eyes was black and cursed. He pondered his decisions….* …...Hmmm….. *The white dragon got up and stared at the gate.* ….. My Dad did tell me… That if your family truly wanted to see him… One of you guys will have to enter this door…... and take his Test….

Eon: …...T-Test…..?

?: *The white dragon nodded slowly.* This door… We call it the Gate of Nightmares….. One of the gates amongst the Celestial Caves….. My father, the Chronicler, has asked that Spyro…. Walk through this gate and face whatever might come his way and defeat his own nightmares…..…. Only then will my father see him and his family…...

Eon: …. *Eon looks at the gate slowly.* The….. Celestial Caves …. A Gate… of Nightmares….? My father….. Will have faced his… *Eon turned to the white dragon.* ….. But why can't we just see-

*Eon realizes the young teenage white dragon has already left.*

[Down the path towards the Ancient Ruins]

*Spyro, Cynder, Iggy, Hunter, and Bianca were down the path that was near Eon and Celestial Caves. They were all trying to find Eon.*

Spyro: Eon….!? Eon!

Cynder: *Cynder cupped her paws to her mouth, trying to not strain her throat.* Eon!? Where are you Eon!?

Iggy: *Iggy was sitting on Cynder's back.* BA-BA!

Hunter: …... *Hunter was in a tall tree.* Eon….!

Biance: *Bianca was calling towards all directions.* Eon!

*Eon was slightly further down the trail. Eon was following it back before he spotted his parents and his sister.*

Eon: *Eon stops quickly once he spotted his family. He started to shake with excitement.* H-Hey! GUYS! I'm OVER HERE!

*Everyone turned and they all saw Eon, who seemed joyful as he was hopping up and down, drawing their attention.*

Spyro: *Spyro and Cynder quickly grew warm smiles.* Cynder! There he is,...

Cynder: *Cynder nuzzled Spyro's side slowly.* Thank goodness…

Eon: Come on! Quick! *Eon was running in between two directions as he feet skipped back and forth from one direction to the other.*... I've found something! I've found where to go! *Eon started to run down the trail, to lead them to the Gate.*

Spyro/Cynder: …..

Hunter: *Hunter walked up with his arms crossed.* He found something….?

Spyro: *Spyro started walking, with Cynder the first to follow alongside him.* Let's go see,...

[At the Gate of Nightmares]

*Everyone was staring at the gate cautiously. They all felt uneasiness, that wasn't going to be cured easily. They all didn't know what to think at that moment.*

Spyro: So….. Your saying the Chronicler is somewhere behind this… Nightmare Gate…?

Eon: Yeah….. His son said that it's not an easy gate to get through…

Bianca: Oh….*Biance tucked her paw under her chin, in deep thought.* So,... this is one of the Testing Gates…..

*Everyone turned slowly to Bianca.*

Cynder: *Cynder tilted her head slowly.* Testing Gates…..?

Bianca: *Bianca looked at her and lowered her paw.* It's one of the many testing gates that a Chronicler can place upon the Celestial Caves. In order to keep just…. Anyone from entering his chambers….

Spyro: *Spyro walked forward towards the gate.* …..

Hunter: We have to be prepared for anything past this Gate, Spyro….. *Hunter looked up at the Gate.* If this Gate is like the one I read about in books…. It isn't going to be easy to get through…

Spyro: *Spyro kept his eyes on the Gate.* What is it? You don't think I can get through?

Hunter: I'm just saying it could be a rough…. Experience….. A Nightmare Gate can use your own fears against you…

Spyro: *Spyro started walking forward again.* Tsk….. And? I've been living a nightmare this entire journey…

Cynder: *Cynder rushed over by Spyro's side.* S-Spyro hold on….. *Cynder nuzzled her body across his.* What if…. It "is" too much for you….

Spyro: *Spyro turned to her. Spyro looked more concerned then over confident. Spyro took a deep breath.* But Cynder…. Even the Chronicler had asked me to do this…. I…. *Spyro looked up at the gate.* I have to get the Chronicler to help us…. It's the only way…..

Cynder: Then…. P-Please….. *Cynder hugged Spyro slowly.* … Please be careful…..

Hunter: We'll all be out here waiting on you…

Eon: Good luck! Dad!

Iggy: I-I-I- L-Love you, D-Daddy!

*Spyro turned to go towards the Gate again, but Bianca stood in his way too.*

Biance: Good luck, Spyro…. May the Ancestors watch over you during your test…

Spyro: *Spyro nodded slowly.* ….

*Spyro took two steps towards the dark looking door.*

Spyro: *Spyro placed a paw on the door.* Alright….. Here I go…

*Spyro slowly opened the Gate to his own Nightmares, and entered his own abyss.*
