Hawk, Demitri and Mitch are looking over some photos of this new AirZone place they are going to for Christmas Eve (which is today.) They are inside the indoor Miyagi-Do dojo, standing in the middle of the dojo with Mitch standing in the middle holding the Ipad showing them the pictures of the place, just to get an idea of it.
"Dude, this is gonna be sick! The people around the Valley had actually voted to take away a good portion of the more-athletic, gymnastic, acrobat type places like this because of the school fight. But this-this looks fun as hell!" Demitri exclaims, making the other two smile in excitement.
And just in time, Miguel walks into the dojo, curious as to what they are so excited about.
"Hey, guys! What are you looking at?" Miguel says as he sets down his duffel bag against the wall.
"We're looking at the photos of that place we're going to today, it's gonna be so badass. All the ladies are gonna be in awe when they see us flipping like crazy. Hahaaaa!" Hawk cheers.
Miguel nods and smiles.
"Sounds promising! Where is Sensei?" Miguel asks as Mitch puts his Ipad into his duffel bag, which is across the dojo.
"Oh, only Sensei Lawrence is coming today. Hopefully." Demitri remarks.
"Why's that? Oh, wait..." Miguel remembers awkwardly.
"I don't wanna talk about it. Let's go warm up a bit." Hawk says as his smile fades and he walks out into the yard, immediately doing pushups on his knuckles.
Miguel and Demitri just stare at him for a few seconds as Hawk aggressively does his pushups with loud grunts.
"Dude...he isn't ok, is he?" Miguel asks Demitri while still staring at Hawk.
Demitri blows raspberry and puts his hand on Miguel's shoulder.
"I don't know if he WILL be ok. Eli hasn't felt this embarrassed in a while." Demitri says.
Miguel remembers that he told Sam he would to talk to Hawk about that fight. She said it was a serious brawl, it wasn't just a fight from the excercise.
"I'm gonna just do stuff with him and try to talk to him, alright?" Miguel says to Demitri, and the two of them nod.
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Kreese gets a phone call. He checks who it is and his eyes widen.
"Hello, friend. How was your flight?" Kreese asks, already smiling.
Kreese starts to nod at what this person is saying, and then he chuckles.
"Thank you. This is going to be of great use. And also, remember. We have that other thing to talk about. The major one, yeah. We'll have that discussion some other time. For now, enjoy the Valley. I'll see you soon." Kreese says, ending the call and putting the phone back down on the desk.
Kreese looks at his photos on the wall, and just stares.
He starts to remember back when he was tormenting Daniel in the 80's. He genuinely enjoyed that. Now it's not so easy. But maybe it can be.
He hears someone walk into the dojo, and it's Robby.
"He rises! What do you need, my son? Classes are cancelled today." Kreese says as they exchange a handshake in the middle of the dojo.
Robby has this smile on his face, this gentle smile. He clearly feels welcomed and calm here.
"I just wanted to say that I'm crashing at Tory's place now. But I really appreciate you letting me stay, I know I haven't really said that yet." Robby says, hands in pockets and just purely smiling.
"Oh, my son! Thank you, but there's no need. I'm solely giving you what the other two couldn't: care." Kreese says, smiling.
"You know, at first, I thought I didn't belong here. That's what I told Tory. I was even packing my stuff. But now...this is my home. I'm glad to be here." Robby remarks.
Kreese chuckles.
"Well, you're very welcome." Kreese says, and he puts his arm around Robby as they walk towards the back of the dojo.
"I have noticed...you sure do talk about Nichols quite a bit." Kreese says as they continue to make their way into the back dojo.
"Well, she was the only one who accepted me when you let me in a couple days ago. She invited me to get that new Cobra...I guess she's just the only real friend I have here." Robby says, opening the door for the two of them to go into the back dojo.
Robby takes off his sweater and is now only in a tank top.
"I understand. Just try not to forget...the task at hand." Kreese says, trying to distract Robby from the thought of Tory.
Robby nods.
"Yes, Sensei. I know. That is my top priority as of now." Robby says, as he starts to kick the punching back really hard.
"Good. Oh, and...don't charge your kicks so hard. It's slower and predictable. Try to do them fast, almost whip-like." Kreese says, nodding and walking out of the back dojo.
Robby just feels...accepted. Finally. After all this time. He belongs.
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Johnny knocks on Daniel's door, clearly ignoring the fact that he should be at the dojo right now. But he doesn't care. He needs to have an actual, serious talk. What happened yesterday was not acceptable and should not happen-ever.
Johnny waits a few seconds until Sam opens the door, and smiles.
"Oh, hey Sensei! What are you doing here?" Sam asks. She hasn't addressed him as Sensei directly yet, so that was nice.
"Oh, uh, I need to talk to your dad about something, if I can." Johnny asks Sam.
Sam sort of has an idea of what this is about, but doesn't address it.
"Is he here?" Johnny asks.
"Uh, no, he isn't. He was finishing up some stuff at work." Sam says to Johnny.
"Alright then, thanks LaRusso." Johnny says, juggling his keys as Sam closes the door and he turns around.
"Oh, hey, Johnny, I was just about to grab a few things and go see you, wow." Daniel says as he stands right in Johnny's paths.
"Yeah, I was here to do the same. You wanna head inside?" Johnny offers, pointing at the house awkwardly.
"Sure, yeah." Daniel says, walking past Johnny and letting Johnny walk in.
The two walk by the area where the fight between the dojos happened. There is construction for the windows and ongoing paint jobs on some parts of the walls and doors.
"Jesus, man. I know you're rich but, Christ, you probably had to pay a bunch." Johnny says as Daniel sits down on the little table with two drinks prepared.
"Oh, thanks for this." Johnny says as he sits down and takes a sip of the drink.
Daniel sighs as he sits down.
"So..." They both say at the same time awkwardly.
"Listen, Johnny. I know what you're gonna say. I messed up. I did something bad, and I know that now. I regret it." Daniel says genuinely.
Johnny doesn't even say anything, he just takes another sip, creating an awkward silence.
"I know, man. I know. But you still injured him. Whatever you say doesn't fix anything. Especially with that kid. He's...struggling, man! I know it was out of instinct but, god damn it LaRusso, you literally just straight up attacked the kid! And I saw that, that was anger. That was you. You weren't thinking, man." Johnny says.
Daniel puts his hands in his face and wipes his eyes.
"Damn it, Johnny! I know! But that kid...he led the charge to MY HOUSE!" Daniel screams, pointing at the construction to their side.
"He was one of them just a few days ago. And now all of a sudden he's 'all good and happy'? No. No, I don't believe that. That kid is trouble. YOU SAW HOW HE WAS HITTING MY DAUGHTER! THAT WASN'T TRAINING!" Daniel says, making the two of them stand up.
"Listen, man...something's wrong with you recently. After that day, you haven't been acting straight. You...the other day, when we got my new car...you quoted No Mercy on me. What the hell was that? And you have been late 2 times already, you have been worn out." Johnny says calmly, unlike Daniel's current state.
Daniel thinks back on this. Why has he been so weird as of late?
"Johnny, I- Look. Ever since we fought John at his dojo, things have been...weird for me. I think he got in my head. He even visited me a little ago, taunting me...I just...Johnny, I almost killed him." Daniel says, breathing hard in between phrases.
"And he almost killed me. You're letting him destroy you, LaRusso! You can't! Hell, it's actually hard to believe that I'm the one telling you this! You would expect it to be the other way around..." Johnny says, and he is correct.
Since when has Johnny been in this position in an argument before? Like he said, you would expect Daniel be the one telling this to Johnny but this is just proving that Daniel is just as flawed as Johnny.
"Man...we're in this together. You know we have our differences, but the entire point of this...was for us to be okay. But we're not. Listen, I'm gonna give you an offer. Stay home, spend time with your wife, I don't know.
Do something to get Kreese off you're mind. I have a date with Carmen today for Christmas. You should do something too. I heard the kids are going to this cool ass new trampoline park, let them have fun. We've been at this for too long without stopping, man. Take that break. You deserve it. And then we can settle this." Johnny says to Daniel, and leaves the house.
Johnny has left Daniel completely speechless in this argument. Daniel has been outsmarted, out worded, you name it. Johnny has clearly become a better man. And Daniel was just there...but Johnny's right. He should do this.
Take the day off with Amanda, let Sam go with the others to the park. It's all gonna be fine. It's Christmas Eve, and it's time to put this all on pause for a day.
Sam walks down the stairs, and into the area where Daniel and Johnny were. She spots Daniel just sitting there, thinking.
"Oh, hey Dad. I didn't hear you come in. Was Sensei Lawrence just here?" Sam asks her father.
Daniel snaps back to reality.
"Oh, yeah. We were just having a talk. Hey, listen, I wanted to tell you something." Daniel says, walking up to Sam.
"What is it?" Sam asks.
Daniel sighs for a moment.
"I did the wrong thing. I shouldn't have done what I did to that mohawk kid. And so I'm gonna spend the day with your mom, Anthony is still staying at his friend's house. You go and have fun with the others. Move the drama aside.
Spend Christmas like a...more regular person would." Daniel says, making Sam giggle and Daniel smile.
"Thanks, Dad. I will be sure to stay safe, I promise." Sam says with a bright smile on her face.
She kisses her dad on the cheek and walks back up to her room.
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
"Ok, so just make your way over there. We're all gonna be inside already. Alright, see ya." Demitri says to Yasmine on the phone, ending the call.
"All right, are we ready to go?" Hawk says, smiling and excited. He really wants this to be a fun time, he wants to get everything off his mind. His secret talks with Cobra Kai, his current conflict with Daniel, he wants to push that away for now. Maybe he can even have a chance to talk to Moon, which is what he is looking forward the most.
"Yep, let's do this." Miguel says, leading the others out towards the driveway of the Miyagi Fang dojo.
There comes in Sam in her SUV, honking.
Miguel laughs and sits in the passenger seat. Hawk, Demitri, Chris and Mitch all squeeze into the back with Bert and Nate being forced to get into the trunk.
All of them are grunting, groaning and complaining as they try to make space.
"Damn it, you almost messed up the hair!" Hawk says as he punches Chris in the shoulder.
"Chill!" Chris says, and they all finally settle into super squeezed seats.
"My god, you guys are babies." Sam says, and she starts driving.
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
The car pulls into a parking spot as they have finally arrived at AirZone. It's a huge building, so there must be some cool stuff. Everyone gets out, and immediately Hawk and the others start running towards the door without Miguel, Sam and Demitri.
"He is...wow." Demitri says, making Miguel chuckle.
"I hope I don't mess up. My legs are still not great, but I'm not gonna let that ruin this. Let's go have some fun." Miguel says, opening the doors for Demitri and Sam.
It's a huge place. There's an entire corner where you register (but they did it already on the website so they don't have to). Hawk, Mitch, Chris, Nate and Bert immediately just barge in and start running around, checking out the place.
Miguel nods to Sam and he runs off with them.
Sam and Demitri are about to go chase after them too, but they are surprised from behind.
"Hey, guys!" Moon says, scaring Sam and Demitri.
Moon and Yasmine arrived, and the four of them share some hugs.
Demitri and Yasmine give each other a flirty look but make it unnoticable.
Hawk is behind the others as they run, looking around at all the different things they can do. Hawk's smile fades away as he looks back and sees Sam, Demitri, Yasmine and Moon talking.
Hawk looks at his friends, but he runs back towards Moon and the others.
"I really like the outfit! Wasn't this what you wore when Kyler first got his ass kicked? I knew I recognized it!" Moon exclaims.
But just as they start laughing, Hawk runs into the conversation.
"Hey, guys. What's up?" Hawk says with pride, but immediately Moon's face goes from happy to scared.
Sam obviously doesn't like Hawk at all, but she knows they are on the same side. She HAS to defend him here, whether she likes it or not.
"Moon, you don't need to worry about him. He's all good now. He actually fought back against the Cobra Kai's attack my house." Sam says, trying to brighten Moon's mood up.
Moon is skeptical at first.
"Are you still a bully?" Moon asks with a quiet voice.
Hawk hesitates.
"Not anymore. I'm planning on fixing all the shit I caused. Look, I'm sorry. For all of it. Can we please just...put the past behind us, and have a good Christmas? There does't need to be drama everywhere we go." Hawk says to Moon.
Demitri and Yasmine were watching the conversation, being completely quiet.
Moon doesn't do or say anything,
"Moon, please say something." Hawk says quietly, making his slight smile turn into an awkward, scared face.
"Fine. You can start trying to fix it by buying me a drink and we can talk." Moon says, making Hawk chuckle.
"Ok, then." Hawk says, jogging over to the counter where they serve food.
Meanwhile, Miguel and the others had been checking out where they were going to stay for a bit. They decided they would try doing some cool tricks on the trampoline area.
Bert and Nate jump onto their own squares, while Mitch pushes Chris onto one.
Miguel also is about to jump in but then looks behind him, and he realizes that Hawk isn't with them.
As Miguel leaves the others to go back to where Sam is, he looks to his left and sees-
Kyler, Red, Mikey, Rickenberger and two more Cobras doing flips and jumping around the trampolines, laughing and messing around.
Miguel gasps and runs to Sam and Demitri.
"GUYS!" Miguel says, then grunting in pain.
"What is it?" Demitri asks.
"Cobra Kai is here. Some, not all. But they are here." Miguel says, making Sam slightly panic.
"Ugh, so much for no drama!" Moon says.
"We can't fight them. Remember? We have to keep the promise that the Sensei's made." Miguel says to Sam, since they were there when they made the deal. Sam nods.
"Ok, for now, just ignore them. If they try to start something, we just leave. We CAN NOT do anything." Sam says to Miguel and Demitri.
"Let's just...enjoy. Forget about them, it's Christmas for god's sake!" Demitri says, and everyone nods.
"I'll race you there." Sam says to Miguel and Demitri.
"Oh, really?" Demitri says, and immediately him and Sam take off running, with Miguel not as fast as them.
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Robby is on his laptop just watching some videos about skating, something he hasn't done in a while. But then he decides to keep training, and just spend the rest of Christmas Eve here at the dojo. It's the best option he can think of.
Sensei Kreese isn't here, so he can just train however and with what ever he wants.
Robby takes off his gi (top part) and is about to punch the punching bag.
Out of nowhere, Robby hears the bells at the door of the dojo open. Robby walks out into the main dojo and sees Tory there, in her gi and smiling.
"What are you doing here?" Robby asks.
Tory immediately charges at him with a kick but he moves out of the way, still confused.
Tory goes to kick him again, but he catches her leg. She then uses their combined weight to make Robby fall.
She lands on top of him, and she smiles.
She gets up and lets out her hand to help him up and right when he goes to take her hand, she grabs it and is about to break it.
"Come on, Keene, fight me!" Tory demands, still smiling. She is just merely trying to help Robby have some fun, and by doing what he loves; training.
Robby chuckles, and uses his legs to make her trip. He hovers over her.
"Not so tricky now, huh?" Robby says, laughing and getting up.
Tory gets up as well.
"What is this?" Robby asks as she also gets up and adjusts her gi.
"I'm here to give you a bit of entertainment. Kyler told me you rejected his offer to go to AirZone, so I thought I would come over here and keep you company." Tory says kindly.
"I appreciate that a lot. I was already getting bored. You wanna keep going?" Robby says, moving to the center of the mat and getting in his fighting position.
Tory stands in front of him and gets ready to spar.
"Fight!" Tory says, and Tory kicks Robby in the chest, pushing him back but as she goes for another kick, he pushes her leg and grabs her arm.
The two don't move for a moment but Tory quickly karate chops his chelidon (the opposite location of the elbow) and trips his right leg, making him kneel with his arm in her grasp.
"I like the way you fight." Robby says, grinning.
"Kickboxing isn't all I'm good at." Tory responds.
Robby nods and uses both legs to make her fall off her feet but he catches her, bridesmaid style (not sure if it has another name).
Tory's left hand is forced onto his bare, muscular chest and they just stare at each other for a moment.
Eventually, Robby goes in and kisses her passionately, and Tory goes with it.
They keep going for a few seconds before Tory stands up and they take in what they just did.
They awkwardly laugh and try to play it off.
"Did we just-" Tory says, but Robby walks over to her, kissing her again.
They continue to kiss passionately in the middle of the dojo, forgetting about everything else. This is their moment.
