Danny and Lindsey walked into the lab at their usual time. They expected to see Mac in his office already but he was not there. "Must be late," Danny remarked.

"Maybe he's in the computer lab or somewhere," Lindsey said.

They went on into their office and began working on paperwork. "I hope we can find some clue in that case today," Danny said.

"It could be anyone," Lindsey replied. "But it must be someone with a lot of money, and someone who likes 'trophies'."

"Ick. Some trophy."

"Did you just say 'ick'?"

Danny looked at her. "So? Something wrong with that? Lucy says it all the time. I guess I've taken up her habit."

"Oh, like she has taken up your 'boom'?"

"Something like that." Danny looked at her. "It's not like she hasn't taken up any of your habits too."

"Like what?"

"Oh, like that look you're giving me now."

Lindsey could not help but laugh. "And that laugh," Danny said.

Just then, Adam came in. "Morning, guys," he said.

"Morning," Danny replied.

"Anybody seen Mac?"

"No. You mean you haven't seen him?"

"Nope. I thought it was he who came in until I saw you guys."

"So he's not here?"

"Not that I've seen."

"Maybe he's taking a day off."

As the day went on, they wondered where Mac was because he was not answering his cell phone of course and no one had seen him all day. Danny Reagan came to the lab to see Mac. "He's not here," Danny said. "He hasn't been here all day."

"So…what did he do? Decide to take a day off?" Reagan asked.

"We don't know. We can't get him on the phone or anything."

"Is that normal?"

Danny scowled. "No," he said. "Mac is usually always here and if he's not, we usually know he's not going to be here before he's not here, and I don't know why he would be taking a day off today. I don't know what he's doing."

"You think he might have found a new clue to this case?"

Danny did not know what to say. It was not like Mac to be out of touch. Just then, Don Flack came from the elevator. "Hey, where's Mac?" he asked.

"That seems to be the biggest question around here today," Danny said. "We don't know."

"You don't know? Didn't he come in today?"

"No. He hasn't been here all day. His Avalanche is not in the garage, so he left last night."

"Anyone been to his apartment to see if he's there?"

"No. I assume he's busy or taking a day off."

Don considered that. "I don't think Mac would take a day off with all this going on, and not without telling us," he said.

"I was thinking that," Danny said.

Reagan was confused. "So where could he be?" he asked.

They were all silent a moment. "Well, I'll go to his apartment and see if he's there," Don said. "With all these sicknesses going around, maybe he caught something and can't get the phone or is not able to talk on it."

"Mac's never sick," Danny said.

"Everybody who never gets sick is getting sick this year. It's been a mess."

"So go see if he's home."

"I'll go with you," Reagan said.

"Come on then," Don said as he was heading for the elevator.

They went down to Don's car and headed for Mac's apartment. Reagan looked at Don. "You worried?" Reagan asked.

Don thought about that. "Worried about what?" he asked.

"About Detective Taylor? I mean, we have got a sensitive case going on here and suddenly, he's missing."

"There must be an explanation."

"If he's as responsible as you guys say, and from what I've seen, he is, why would he disappear suddenly?"

Don frowned. "I don't think he would." He did not want to think that something had happened to Mac. "I think there's a lot more to this case than we know about."

"So do I." Reagan looked at Don. "Whoever paid Caldwell to kill Curtis is wealthy so that is probably why she has no criminal record."

"A victim that we don't know about and who doesn't want to be known to save herself the embarrassment?"

"That's what it sounds like to me."

"So, what does that have to do with Mac being missing?"

"She wanted a trophy and Mac kept her from getting that."

Don frowned and looked at Reagan. "You think she's going to kill Mac and…"

"Hey, I don't know but I have seen some crazy things in my time."

"It would not be that easy to capture Mac Taylor."

"If someone has enough money, they can do about anything."

They arrived at Mac's apartment and went up to it. Don knocked on the door and waited. Of course, there was no answer. "Let's go down to the garage and see if his truck is here," Don suggested.

They went down to the garage and of course, it was not there. Don stared at the place. He was starting to get nervous. He tried calling Mac's phone again and then he called Danny. "He's not here, Danny," Don said. "His Avalanche is not here."

Danny was not sure what to think. "You think he's out chasing a lead?" he asked.

"Why wouldn't he answer? He hasn't answered his phone."

"I don't know. Let's get people looking for his Avalanche."

"I'm on it."

Don called in an APB on Mac's Avalanche, hoping that someone would see it. He looked at Danny Reagan. "What now?" Reagan asked.

"We're going to do a little hunting of our own," Don replied. "Sheldon was the last one at the lab last night. Maybe he knows when Mac left."

Don called Sheldon and asked what time Mac left. "It was a little after nine," Sheldon said. "What's going on?"

"Mac hasn't showed up today and he's not answering his phone," Don replied. "Where did he say he was going when he left?"

"He said he was calling it a night. I assumed he was going home to get some rest."

"Thanks."

"Let's go back up to the apartment," Don said. "We have to get a time frame."

Don got the Super to open the apartment door. When they got inside, Don knew Mac had not been there because the bed was made and the bathroom did not look like anyone had taken a shower. "He never made it here," Reagan said.

"We have to get those security cameras from the parking garage at the precinct," Don said.

Don called and ordered the surveillance footage to be sent to the computer lab so they could look at it. By the time he and Reagan got there, Adam had the footage. Danny and Lindsey came into the computer lab as well. "He left a little after nine," Don said.

Adam searched for the right time frame and then they watched. "There's his Avalanche," Adam pointed out as they could see the Avalanche from that angle.

They watched and finally saw Mac walking toward the Avalanche. He threw his coat in and then they saw someone walk up to the back of the Avalanche. "That's a woman, isn't it?" Danny asked.

"Looks like it," Don replied.

"Definitely a woman," Lindsey said. "Look at those heels and that pretty hair."

They watched as the woman got into the truck and then Mac got in. Don was calling in another APB before they even finished watching the footage. "He's been kidnapped," Reagan said, stating the obvious. "But by who?"

"Adam, watch the rest of this footage and see if you can find anything else that might lead us to who this woman is," Danny said.

"I'm on it," Adam replied.

Danny, Lindsey, Don and Reagan went to the conference room. "We have to call Jo and let her know about this," Danny said.

"I'll call her," Lindsey said and headed for her office.

"We have to figure out who that woman is," Danny said. "Get Sheldon back here. We need all the help we can get. We have to get down there to that parking garage and see what we can find. Maybe she lost a hair or something."

"Danny, do you know how many people have come and gone from down there since last night?" Don asked.

"Doesn't matter. We have to go over everything there in Mac's parking space. No one parks there but him."

"Right. I keep forgetting he has his own space."

"What about me?" Reagan asked.

Danny looked at him. "You see what all you can dig up about Caldwell."

"I've already been doing that and Mac had some guy, Russ Josephson, trying to find out what aliases Caldwell used when he was in security."

"I'll get Jo to call him and see what he's found out. He would most likely try to call Mac."

Lindsey came back into the conference room. "Jo is on her way," she said. "I told her to be extra cautious." She looked at Danny. "If this is about that case, who knows whether she is finished or not."

Reagan thought a moment. "This must have something to do with revenge because she didn't get what she wanted," he said.

"Don't remind me. I just hope she's not replacing it."

Danny looked at Lindsey. "What?" he asked.

"Well, you saw it."

"We need to find Mac fast."

They all went their ways and got busy trying to figure out what they could do to find Mac…

Mac was pacing back and forth in his cage with the blanket around his shoulders. He had no idea how he would get out of that place. He shook the bars of the cage. He hated being closed in. "Hey!" he yelled, which caused the tiger to get up and growl at him. "Aw shut up!"

The door to the room opened and Sarah came in. "Are you getting upset again?" she asked.

"You better believe I'm upset!" Mac yelled. "I want out of here! And I am freezing!"

"Well, why didn't you say so?"

"Why can't I have my clothes?"

Mac watched as Sarah walked over to the thermostat on the wall. "Let me out of here!" he demanded.

Sarah walked back over to the cage. "Relax," she said. "You're new place will be much better than this. It's just still being prepared. It should be ready by tomorrow."

"Let me out of here!"

"Is that all you can say?"

Mac knew he was getting nowhere with this woman. "Look, you can be angry and be full of hate if you want, but I didn't do anything to you!"

"But you would want to put me in prison," Sarah said. "And besides, you're the one who let that piece of trash get out of jail. If he had been where he belongs, he couldn't have been murdered. It's really your fault."

"That is absurd! I did not let him get away with anything!"

"There's always some sort of technicality when it comes to him, but he will never rape another woman."

"Let me out!"

Sarah looked up at Mac for the first time. "You say that like you can just demand and get anything you want," she said. "I think I can get you to beg before it's over."

Mac stared at her a moment. "You're taking revenge on the wrong man," he said.

"All men are alike."

"NO they're not!"

"Oh, we could argue all day." Sarah went to the door. "Get some rest."

Mac shook the cage bars again even though he knew he could not get out. He was angry and he wanted to take it out on something. He paced back and forth some more. He looked at the tiger who was doing the same thing. He knew how the poor thing felt. She had no room to run or anything. He sat down and held the blanket around him. He was starting to feel a little warmer. He realized the tiger was lying down now. "I guess you hate being in here too don't you?" he asked. He could not stand that wild look that was always in a tiger's eyes. He knew that tiger would eat him alive if she could get to him. He just hoped his team could find him.
