"I can't believe he did this to you. How sweet" Ava said has she and Kayla entered in the shop, so Kayla could get a dress for that night.
"I thought that too. He was emotional when I told him I saw my real mother. I even think he cried a little bit and the way he pulled me into a hug. It felt good." Kayla remembered that moment. A moment she really liked.
"Hello" the shop owner came to them, making Kayla "How may I help you?"
"My friend came here to find a dress for tonight. She came on behalf of Luke Skywalker"
The shop lady gave a big smile and when to her notes.
"Oh yes. You must be Kayla Minde" she said looking at Ava
"I'm Kayla"
"Of course" she lady smile and both friends looked at other with smirk on their faces. "Well I got the indication that for to choose any dress that in on Master Skywalker. And I already took the liberty to put some dresses aside for you to try. So follow me, please"
Kayla looked at Ava and they both when to the end of the shop, where some dresses were already aside.
"That's a lot of dresses" Ava said with wide eyes.
"Just take your time" the lady said leaving them alone
"That's a weird owner." Kayla commented as she watch the owner leave to towards the counter again.
"But she has good taste. These dresses are amazing. It makes me want to buy some, but I bet my parents would kill me" Ava said already taking a good look on them.
Kayla also took a closer look, especially on the price tag
"And expensive. Look at the price of this one. I can't take that from Master Luke. It makes me feel bad. Maybe I shouldn't go…"
"Don't you dare. You already said you would go and if he wanted to do this to, you at least accepted as sign of respect" Ava interrupted. "So let's star with this one"
Grabbing the dress, Kayla sighed and went inside the dressing room, while Ava was choosing the next dress for Kayla to try on.
After almost an hour and so many dresses later, Kayla came out of the dressing room with a beautiful. long floral dress.
"WOW Kayla I think we got the dress. You look amazing" Ava said the moment she came out.
Heading to the mirror she saw her reflection and she really like what she was seeing. The dress was really beautiful. It was the first time she wore a dress like that and she liked it.
"Are you sure you have the money for that" a voice came behind her and she knew already who it was. Taking a deep breath she turned around facing Lina. Not this again.
"I have to say, for a second it made you look like one of us, but only for a second" she continue.
Ava looked at Kayla, remembering what happened the other day in the cafe, and fearing that her friend would choke her again, she stool between them. Kayla knew why she did that and resting her hand on her best friend shoulder, she nod, indicating that will not happen again. Lina would not going to get the best of her this time.
"I bet her friend is buying that, as usual" Mena, another of Lina's puppy dogs said.
"That or she will steal it" Lex replied laughing.
"You guys are so wrong. It was Luke Skywalker himself who is buying the dress of her." Ava said crossing her arms and facing Lina, whose expression change all of the sudden, something that made Ava very happy.
"You are lying. Like you don't have the status to even meet him" Lex said right away.
"Actually, Master Luke is training me for more than 2 months now. Apparently this orphan girl that you like to throw at my face all the time for the past 3 years, is like him. And just like him, I will become a Jedi. Meaning I'm more powerful than you guys."
Ava looked at her friend with admiration. It was the first time Kayla face Lina like that. Her friend was growing up making her so proud.
"What's matter Lina. No come back. That's rare" Ava smirked.
"Probably he did that because since he lost his daughter years ago, he is projecting that on you. So it is for pity not because he likes you"
"Daughter? He had a daughter?" Kayla asked looking at Ava
"He didn't tell you that. Yeah, you really are close. For a moment you got me there, Minde. I know you pathetic poor girl, but never thought you were a liar, pretending to know the legend or even training with him. Good job" Lina said indicating to her friends that they were leaving.
Ava and Kayla looked at each other.
"Luke Skywalker has a daughter?" Ava said in disbelief while Kayla kept thinking of why she didn't know about it.
OH DAMN. Lina just drop the bomb. But the question is how did Lina knew that? And will Kayla ask Luke about his daughter. I have to say the next chapter will be dark and someone will die. I hope you understand.
