Yukin has secured the first win for True Duel. All they need is one more win and their school will be safe from LID. As Yukin exited the dueling area, the others congratulated him on his win.
"Way to go in there, Yukin." Nathan said.
"We knew you could do it." Alyssa said.
"I thought you were in trouble, but you managed to turn it around in your favor." Augustus said.
"Thanks guys, but keep in mind that this isn't over yet." Yukin said. Everyone was happy about the win, but Zoey had her mind somewhere else. She kept thinking about what caused all of this: that mystery man that attacked Sylvester. That duel has really gotten to her and it's because of that this is even happening. "Zoey?" Yukin snapped her out of her thoughts. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah. I'm fine." Zoey said as she was trying to act like it, but Yukin wasn't so sure. As for Seymore, he stepped out and he could feel he was in trouble with the way Miss Abarin was glaring at him.
"I'm sorry." Seymore said.
"We'll deal with this later. Right now, we need to focus on getting those other two wins." Miss Abarin said.
"We will." A girl said as she stepped forward. "I'll be the next one to duel." The girl stepped forward to the others. She had straight black hair and wore sky blue shirt with a jean skirt. She also wore diamond-pattern socks that went to her knees. "My name is Jenny. Which one of you am I dueling?" Zoey may have been distracted, but she needed to step-up and fight for the school.
"I am." Zoey said.
"Zoey, are you sure? You've been pretty distracted lately." Yukin said.
"Yukin's right. Maybe Soto or I should take her." Siegrain said.
"No. I can do this." Zoey said. She believes can't let her own problems get in the way of what she needs to do. 'I have to focus. I can't let what I saw get in the way. That mystery duelist I saw isn't the problem now. Winning this duel is.' The two of them stepped into duel area with Eli trying to find the right field.
"Let's see. What field would be good for these two ladies?" Eli said as he searched through the options. "Found one! I'm activating Grand Hall!" The field was changing to look like one form a castle's grand hall. It was elegant and extravagant. "This field is for you, my little princess!"
"I hope he means Alyssa." Zoey said as she was getting embarrassed.
"You're dad seems like a real joke." Jenny said.
"Hey! He might be embarrassing, but he's a good person!" Zoey said.
"Don't take it so hard. If I seem rude, it's only because of mere observations." Jenny said. "Take Yukin for example. He actually has some skill with the way he turned his duel around. Now, let's see if you have the skills to match."
"You'll see how good I am!" Zoey said as both of them activated their duel disks.
"Let's duel!" Both of the girls said and now have 4000LP.
"I think I'll start this off!" Jenny said as she drew her first card. "I'll start this by summoning Huntress Zebra to the field." Jenny summoned out an amazon-like warrior wearing zebra fur for clothing and had black and white hair. She also had 1300atk points. "Next, I'm activating her special ability. If she happens to be the only card I have on the field when she's summoned, I can move a certain spell card from my deck to my hand."
"What spell?" Zoey said.
"You're about to see." Jenny said as she took the card. "I activate Huntress Fusion! This allows me to fuse two more Huntress monsters together."
"You mean you can fusion summon?!" Zoey said as she was shocked to hear that.
"Just watch. I fuse Huntress Zebra with Huntress Owl!" Jenny said as her two warriors fused together. "I fusion summon Huntress Formel!" She summoned another amazon-like warrior wearing feathers clothing and a set of wings with a hawk's head on her shoulder. She also had 1900atk points.
"She already fusion summoned?!" Siegrain said.
"She's got some skill." Yukin said. "This duel might be tougher for Zoey than I thought."
"I think that's enough for this turn. Let's just see what you can do exactly." Jenny said.
"You're about to see!" Zoey said as she drew her card. 'She might fusion summon, but I don't care. I'll find some way to beat her.' As she thought about what to do, she kept thinking about that mystery duelist. 'No! Stop it! I can't think about that now.' She shook her head to try and clear it. That didn't go unnoticed by Jenny or the others.
"Are you going to make a move or what?" Jenny said.
"I summon Flower Fairy Rose in attack mode!" Zoey said. Her fairy came out with her having 1400atk points. "Next, her special ability allows me to deal 200 points of damage for every card that's in my hand. That's 1000LP!" Her fairy unleashed a melody and blasted Jenny with it and her life points dropped to 3000. When she saw Jenny appeared to be in pain, Zoey froze as it made her think of the real she saw with Sylvester.
"Is Zoey okay? She looks like she just regretted doing that." Nathan said.
"Yeah. You're suppose to take away your opponent's life points." Augustus said.
"Well, this duel is just about over." Soto said.
"Over? What do you mean?" Augustus asked.
"I say watch, but the outcome seems to be obvious." Soto said.
'Come on. Focus. This isn't going to be like before. There's no way I can really hurt Jenny.' Zoey told herself. "I'm also going to activate my Flowery Reincarnation spell. This spell releases one of my Flower Fairies in order for me to summon another. I summon Flower Fairy Princess Aubrieta!" She summoned a larger fairy with her dressed like royalty with the design of an aubrieta flower. She also had 2400atk points. "Aubrieta, attack her Huntress Formel with Mystic Spring Breeze!" Her fairy unleashed a powerful breeze that blasted Huntress Formel and destroyed her with Jenny being blown back with her life points dropping to 2500. Zoey froze again and couldn't stand any form of visual pain. "I end my turn!"
"That's it?" Jenny said. "Keep that up and you can't win."
"She's right. She needs to play a spell or trap card." Siegrain said. "She needs something to defend herself because this Jenny has some skill. She can't play it safe."
"I'm starting to think you were right, Soto." Yukin said.
"What are you talking about?" Alyssa said as the younger ones didn't see it.
"This duel is over. Just watch and see." Yukin said and didn't sound happy about it.
"My turn!" Jenny said as she drew her next card. "I'll start by activating Huntress Fusion from my graveyard. Since there's a fusion monster in my graveyard, it comes back to my hand." Her spell card came right back to her. "Next, I'm activating Huntress Fusion! This time, I'm fusing three monsters together!"
"Three monsters?!" Zoey said.
"That's right! I fuse together Huntress Giraffe, Hyena, and Gazelle!" Jenny said as her three monsters fused together. "With the hunter of reach, mischief, and carefree, this one monster is all I need! I fusion summon Huntress Lioness!" Jenny summoned a new huntress with animal clothing of a lion with the head of one on her shoulder and had long wild hair. She didn't look like any hunter. She looked like the queen of amazons. She also had 3000atk points.
"A monster with 3000atk points?!" Zoey said.
"Not quite. Huntress Lioness gains 100atk points for every Huntress in my graveyard. I've got six in there." Jenny said and her monster's attack points went to 3600. "Attack now! Take out her Flower Fairy Princess with Wildlife Savage Strike!" Her huntress pulled out a sword and smashed it against the ground. She generated powerful shockwaves that wrecked the hall and destroyed Zoey's monster with her life points dropping to 2800. "I'm afraid it's not over. Once per turn, my huntress can copy the ability of another huntress in my graveyard. I choose Huntress Formel. That means she can attack twice."
'It's really over. There's nothing I can do.' Zoey thought as she dropped to her knees.
"Don't feel too bad. This is really the only way it could have ended. With the way you were playing, you didn't stand a chance." Jenny said. "Huntress Lioness, make your second attack and put an end to this!" Huntress Lioness unleashed another attack and blasted Zoey with it as she lost the last of her life points.
"Zoey!" All of them shouted. She lost this duel and it didn't look good.
"Disappointing." Jenny said as the field returned to normal. "I expected more of a fight, but you were too distracted by something else. You call yourself a duelist? How can you duel when your mind is somewhere else? Pathetic."
"What's she talking about?" Alyssa asked.
"Zoey was too distracted." Soto said. "That's what I was talking about earlier. Jenny won before the duel even started because Zoey didn't keep her head in the game." The others felt bad for her, but there was nothing they could really do.
"Zoey!" Yukin called as he hurried over to help her. "Zoey, are you okay?" Yukin helped her up, but Zoey leaned against him.
'It's all my fault.' Zoey thought. 'I couldn't focus because I couldn't forget what I saw. Who was that guy that dueled Sylvester? How did he hurt Sylvester? Why did he? Why am I even thinking about that? Now, my friends are paying for my screwup.' Zoey felt awful about letting the others down.
"Zoey..." Yukin said as he wished he knew how to help her.
"Is this going to go on much longer?" Jenny asked. Zoey realized what she was doing and started to blush as she pushed herself away from Yukin.
"Zoey, are you sure you're okay?" Yukin asked.
"I keep telling you that I'm fine." Zoey said, but Yukin had a hard time believing that.
"It seems we're tied now. The third duel will decide all of this." Miss Abarin said.
"Don't worry. I'll take care of it." The third duelist said. Yukin helped Zoey out of the duel field as LID's third duelist stepped forward. It was a male student with him wearing a long blue shirt with snowflakes on it. He wore black pants with a white scarf. He also had long wild brown hair with a blue headband. "My name is Gus. Which one of you losers am I dueling?"
"Well, it's down to just you and me, Soto." Siegrain said. "Do you want to or do you want me to?"
"You do it." Soto said without even giving it a thought.
"You didn't even think about it!" Siegrain said.
"I'm not really in the mood to duel." Soto said. "None of these guys even look interesting to duel. You do it." Siegrain found it weird that he was being so nonchalant about this.
"Well, Siegrain, it looks like it's all on you." Yukin said. Siegrain snapped out of it and he put his head in the game.
"Right. I'm ready to go." Siegrain said. The two of them stepped into the arena.
"Remember, boys. If Gus wins, True Duel School falls under LID ownership and Yukin becomes part of LID." Miss Abarin reminded.
"I know, but if I win, you guys leave us alone." Siegrain said. "There's no way I'm going to lose this duel."
"We'll see about that. I've got the coolest deck around, literally." Gus said.
"Let me see." Eli said as he tried to find the right field. "Got it. I'm activating Iceberg Ocean!" The field changed into one of icebergs and water everywhere.
"Awesome! I love to duel in a place like this!" Gus said.
"Siegrain duels using a sea deck. I'm guessing this guy duels using some sort of ice deck." Zoey said.
"This is going to be like a battle between water and ice." Yukin said.
"Yeah, and more. Since those other two used synchro and fusion summoning, I'm betting this guy will be using xyz summoning." Soto said.
"Xyz summoning?!" Zoey said as she kept thinking back to that mystery duelist and how he xyz summoned. Now she's really worried on what might happen to Siegrain. The future of their school all rests on this one duel. We'll see if siegrain really has what it takes.
"Let's duel!" Both duelists shouted.
